레이저 반사광을 이용한 미세 표면 거칠기 측정 알고리즘에 관한 연구 (Study on Algorithm of Micro Surface Roughness Measurement Using Laser Reflectance Light)

  • Reflected light can be decomposed into specular and diffuse components according to the light reflectance theory and experiments. The specular component appears in smooth surfaces mainly, while the diffuse one is visible in rough surfaces mostly. Therefore, each component can be used in forming their correlations to a surface roughness. However, they cannot represent the whole surface roughness seamlessly, because each formulation is merely validated in their available surface roughness regions. To solve this problem, new approaches to properly blend two light components in all regions are proposed in this paper. First is the weighting function method that a blending zone and rate can be flexibly adjusted, and second is the neural network method based on the learning from the measurement data. Simulations based on the light reflectance theory were conducted to examine its performance, and then experiments conducted to prove the enhancement of the measurement accuracy and reliability through the whole surface roughness regions.

  • The surfaces of most atmosphereless solar system objects are referred to as regolith, layers of loosely connected fragmentary debris, produced by meteorite impacts. Measurements of light scattered from such surfaces provides information about the composition and structure of the surface. A suitable way to characterize the scattering properties is to consider how the intensity and polarization of scattered light depends on the particle size, composition, porosity, roughness, wavelength of incident light and the geometry of observation. In the present work, the effect of porosity on bidirectional reflectance as a function of phase angle is studied for alumina powder with grain size of $0.3{\mu}m$ and olivine powder with grain size of $49{\mu}m$ at 543.5 nm. The optical constants of the alumina sample for each porosity were calculated with Maxwell Garnett effective medium theory. On using each of the optical constants of alumina sample in Mie theory with the Hapke model the variation of bidirectional reflectance is obtained as a function of phase angle with porosity as a parameter. Experimental reflectance data are in good agreement the model. For the olivine sample the effect of porosity is studied using Hapke (2008).

  • 빛은 피부에서 개개인마다 상이한 반사, 흡수 및 산란 등의 광학적 거동을 보여준다. 특히, 피부에서 빛의 반사는 분광반사율이라는 물리량 측정을 통해 개인의 피부 밝기지표로 널리 활용되어 왔다. 따라서 피부에서 빛의 반사 거동 연구는 개인 맞춤형 화장품, 특히 메이크업 제품 개발에 있어 좀 더 효율적인 처방 개선에 기여하거나 새로운 평가법에 활용될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 Kubelka-Munk 모델을 이용하여 개인의 피부 특성에 따른 빛의 분광반사율 거동에 대해 다각적인 분석을 수행하였다. 또한, 상기 모델과 기존에 알려진 문헌 정보를 이용하여 개인의 피부 분광반사율에 영향을 줄 수 있는 피부 두께 및 헤모글로빈 등의 다양한 파라미터들에 대한 기여도 분석을 수행하였다. 이를 통해, 일반적인 여성의 피부에서의 분광반사율 이론치를 계산하였고, 분광반사율 실측을 통해 이론치와 실측치 간의 유사성을 확인하였다. Kubelka-Munk 모델을 이용한 피부 분광반사율 연구는 향후 새로운 개인 맞춤형 메이크업 화장품 개발에 유용하게 이용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

양방향 반사율 분포함수 측정시스템 (Measurement System of Bidirectional Reflectance-distribution Function)

  • 본 논문에서는 양방향 반사율 분포함수의 이론과 제작된 측정시스템 및 측정불확도의 평가방법을 소개한다. (380~1500) nm의 분광 양방향 반사율 분포함수를 $(-75{\sim}75)^{\circ}$의 각도 범위에서 측정할 수 있는 측정시스템을 제작하였고, 상관관계가 있는 불확도 성분과 상관관계가 없는 불확도 성분으로 나누어 측정불확도를 평가하였다. 평가 결과, 제작된 양방향 반사율 분포함수 측정시스템의 상대확장불확도는 3% (k=2) 이하로 평가되었다.

A Robust Algorithm for Roughness Laser Measurement based on Light Power Regulation against Specimen Changes

  • Methods for measuring surface roughness based on light reflectivity have advantages over methods based on light interference or diffraction, especially in in-situ, on-the-machine and in-process applications. However, measurement inconsistencies caused by changes in the specimen are still a drawback for field applications. In this study, we propose a new feedback-based algorithm to enhance the consistency against changes in the specimen. The algorithm is deduced from simulations based on light reflectance theory with typical modeled surfaces. The proposed method is similar to a digital controller and regulates the power of reflected light. Experiments varying heights and materials, verified the improvements in robustness of the method against measurement disturbances caused by specimen changes.

  • An optical model based on the optical thin-film theory is derived to calculate the output radiance of small molecules organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). We have designed the high efficiency OLEDs using the reflectance phase control of dielectric layers. It is found that OLED with a single $TiO_2$ dielectric layer is a good candidate to enhance the outcoupling efficiency and increase the color purity.

  • Blood oxygen saturation ($SpO_2$) is so important to be called bio-signal of the fifth. The measurement of blood oxygen saturation based on broad-ban light source has advantages of simple testing facility and easy understanding. This paper proposes a LabVIEW program which measures blood oxygen saturation based on broad-band light source. It combines LabVIEW and MATLAB, utilizing different light absorptions of oxyhemoglobin and deoxyhemoglobin in the visual wavelength range of 450nm-750nm to determine blood oxygen saturation. In order to improve accuracy through reducing the impact of hand shaking, the probe is fixed to the motor stage and then move a constant distance between the probe and the sample to be measured. Experimental results show that the proposed method noticeably increases the accuracy and saves time compared with the conventional methods.

  • The amplification method using evanescent wave coupling has a long history and has been widely used as a new lasing method, especially, in the waveguide optics$^{(1)}$ . In particular, it has been observed experimentally that when the light wave propagating in a dielectric medium is totally reflected at the planar interface between the dielectric and a pumped active medium, the reflectance may be greater than unity, i.e., amplification is possible$^{(2)}$ . There were several attempts by other authors to explain this enhanced internal reflection (EIR) classically$^{(3)}$ . They commonly introduced a complex refractive index for the active medium with its imaginary part being negative, and this scheme was also used to describe an amplification process in a waveguide having active-cladding region$^{(4)}$ . However these theories are phenomenological, using macroscopic constants, and therefore a microscopic theory is needed to understand EIR in a fundamental level. (omitted)

Dynamic Rapid Synthesis of Bis(2,2'-bipyridine)nitrato Zinc (II) Nitrate Using a Microwave Method and its Application to Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSC)

  • This study examined the synthesis of the crystal structure of bis(2,2'-bipyridine)nitrato zinc (II) nitrate, $[Zn(bipy)_2(NO_3)]^+NO_3^-$ using a microwave treatment at 300 W and 60 Hz for the application to dye-sensitized solar cells. The simulated complex structure of the complex was optimized with the density functional theory calculations for the UV-vis spectrum of the ground state using Gaussian 03 at the B3LYP/LANL2DZ level. The structure of the acquired complex was expected a penta-coordination with four nitrogen atoms of bipyridine and the oxygen bond of the $NO_3^-$ ion. The reflectance UV-vis absorption spectra exhibited two absorptions (L-L transfers) that were assigned to the transfers from the ligand ($\sigma$, $\pi$) of $NO_3$ to the ligand ($\sigma^*$, $\pi^*$) of pyridine at around 200 - 350 nm, and from the non-bonding orbital (n) of O in $NO_3$ to the p-orbital of pyridine at around 450 - 550 nm, respectively. The photoelectric efficiency was approximately 0.397% in the dye-sensitized solar cells with the nanometer-sized $TiO_2$ at an open-circuit voltage (Voc) of 0.39 V, a short-circuit current density (Jsc) of $1.79\;mA/cm^2$, and an incident light intensity of $100\;mW/cm^2$.

개선된 광촉매 효과를 위한 수열법에 의한 삼원계 Bi2WO6-GO-TiO2 나노복합체의 쉬운 합성 방법 (New Synthesis of the Ternary Type Bi2WO6-GO-TiO2 Nanocomposites by the Hydrothermal Method for the Improvement of the Photo-catalytic Effect)

  • 독창적 물질인 $Bi_2WO_6-GO-TiO_2$ 나노복합체를 쉬운 수열법에 의해 성공적으로 합성하였다. 수열반응을 하는 동안, 그래핀 시트 위에 $Bi_2WO_6$$TiO_2$를 도포하였다. 합성한 $Bi_2WO_6-GO-TiO_2$ 복합체형 광촉매는 X-선 회절법(XRD), 주사전자현미경(SEM), 에너지 분산 X-선(EDX) 분석, 투과전자현미경(TEM), 라만분광법, UV-Vis 확산반사 분광법(UV-vis-DRS), 및 X-선 광전자분광기(XPS)에 의하여 특성화하였다. $Bi_2WO_6$ 나노입자는 불규칙한 dark-square block 나노 플페이트 형상을 보였으며, 이산화티탄 나노입자는 퀜텀 도트 사이즈로 그래핀 시트 위 표면을 덮고 있었다. 로다민 비의 분해는 농도감소의 측정과 함께 UV 분광법에 의하여 관찰하였다. 합성된 물질의 광촉매 반응은 Langmuir-Hinshelwood 모델과 띠 이론으로 설명하였다.
