다변수 함수를 이용한 형상 변화에 따른 리프팅 러그의 최적 설계에 관한 연구 (Lifting Lug by the Change of form Using Multivariate Functions: An Optimal Design Study)

  • In this paper, we proposed an optimal design for determining the shape of a lifting lug freely by applying a multivariate function to the D-type lug, which is commonly used in shipyards. We derived the optimal aspect ratio of the lug through structural analysis and analyzed the safety and behavior of the lug aspect ratio. As a result, two types of final candidates, both lighter than the existing lug weight, were suitable for the ratio. They were found to have the greatest force at an angle of 45 degrees when a load of 100 tons was imposed. When the horizontal and vertical feature ratio of the lug was 1:3, it showed excellent results in terms of safety rates while maintaining weight reduction and functional aspects.

자동차용 가스 스프링의 반력 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Reaction Force Characteristics of the Gas Spring for the Automotive)

  • A gas spring provides support force for lifting, positioning, lowering, and counterbalancing weights. It offers a wide range of reaction force with a flat force characteristic, simple mounting, compact size, speed controlled damping, and cushioned end motion. The most common usage is as a support on a horizontally hinged automotive tail gate. However, its versatility and ease of use has been applied in many other industrial applications ranging from office equipment to off-road vehicles. The cylinder of a gas spring is filled with compressed nitrogen gas, which is applied with equal pressure on both sides of the piston. The surface area of the rod side of the piston is smaller than the opposite side, producing a pushing force. The magnitude of the reaction force is determined by the cross-sectional area of the piston rod and the internal pressure inside the cylinder. The reaction force is influenced by many design parameters such as initial chamber volume, diameter ratio, etc. In this paper, we investigated the reaction force characteristics and carried out parameter sensitivity analysis for the design parameters of a gas spring.

선체반류를 고려한 프로펠러 최적 스큐화 (Propeller Skew Optimization Considering Varying Wake Field)

  • Propellers operating in a given nonuniform ship wake generate unsteady loads leading to undesirable stern vibration problems. The skew is known to be the most proper and effective geometric parameter to control or reduce the fluctuating forces on the shaft. This paper assumes the skew profile as either a quadratic or a cubic function of the radius and determines the coefficients of the polynomial function by applying the simplex method. The method uses the converted unconstrained algorithm to solve the constrained minimization problem of 6-component shaft excitation forces. The propeller excitation was computed either by applying the two-dimensional gust theory for quick estimation or by the fully three-dimensional unsteady lifting surface theory in time domain for an accurate solution. A sample result demonstrates that the shaft forces can be further reduced through optimization from the original design.

  • In this study, comparisons were made among three representative methods for predicting compressive forces on the lumbosacral disc: LP-based model, double LP-based model and EMG-assisted model. Two subjects simulated lifting tasks that are normally performed in the refractories industry. In the refractories lifting tasks, vertical and horizontal distance, and weight of load were varied. To calculate the L5/Sl compressive forces, EMG signals from six trunk muscles were measured and postural data were recorded using the Motion Analysis System. The EMG-assisted model was shown to reflect well all three factors considered here. On the other hand, the compressive forces of the two LP-based models were only significantly affected by weight of load.

병원 환자 운반 업무의 작업 부하 분석 및 개선 방안 (Workload of Patients Transferring and its Improving Methods)

  • Nursing often requires heavy physical work activities such as lifting heavy loads, working in awkward postures, transferring patients, operating hazardous equipment, etc. Among various nursing tasks, patients transferring is one of the most physically demanding tasks. This study aims to investigate workload of the patients transferring, and to propose its improving methods for reducing high workload. The results showed that irrespective of methods for patients transferring and the number of workers involved, workload for most patients transferring tasks exceeded the action limit represented in terms of L5/SI compressive force of 3,400N or LI of 1.0 by NIOSH. The loads for some tasks were far larger than the maximum permissible limit of 6,400N. It is recommended that the mechanical devices for transferring patients such as ceiling crane, sling lift etc. should be introduced rather than simply increasing the number of workers in the tasks.

중량물 인양작업에 있어서의 요추부하 평가에 관한 연구 -수평거리에 따른 척추기립근의 근전도 변화- (A study on compression force at L5/Sl in MMH -Erector Spinae Muscle Electromyography about Lifting Distance-)

  • MMH(Manual Material Handling)와 관련되어 최근 요통질환으로 인한 요양신청이 크게 증가하는 추세에 있다. 본 연구에서는 Lifting 작업시 적용되는 중요 요소들 중 수평거리가 변함에 따른 IEMG 값을 이용하여 EMG 변화를 살펴보았다. 좌ㆍ우 EMG 값간에는 유의한 차이가 없었으며, 수평거리 35cm와 55cm간에는 유의한 차이를 보였다. 이는 수평거리가 길어질 경우 척추기립근의 동원량이 증가한다는 것을 의미한다. 따라서 요추부의 부담도를 줄이기 위해 수평거리를 줄이는 것이 요통예방을 위해 무엇보다 중요한 것이라 하겠다. 인체측정치와 EMG 값 사이의 상관관계에서는 35cm일 때 키, 가슴둘레, 허리둘레 등이, 55cm일 때 체중, 몸통너비, 허리두께, 손바닥폭 등이 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타나고 있다.

Investigation of aerosol resuspension model based on random contact with rough surface

  • Under nuclear reactor severe accidents, the resuspension of radioactive aerosol may occur in the containment due to the disturbing airflow generated by hydrogen combustion, hydrogen explosion and containment depressurization resulting in the increase of radioactive source term in the containment. In this paper, for containment conditions, by considering the contact between particle and rough deposition surface, the distribution of the distance between two contact points of particle and deposition surface, rolling and lifting separation mechanism, resuspension model based on random contact with rough surface (RRCR) is established. Subsequently, the detailed torque and force analysis is carried out, which indicates that particles are more easily resuspended by rolling under low disturbing airflow velocity. The simulation result is compared with the experimental result and the prediction of different simulation methods, the RRCR model shows equivalent and better predictive ability, which can be applicable for simulation of aerosol resuspension in containment during severe accident.

Motion Analysis and EMG Analysis of the Pelvis and Lower Extremity according to the Width Variation of the Base of Support

  • The purpose of this study is to identify which width of the base of support(BOS) is safer and more effective in lifting by comparing muscle activations and body sways when lifting objects under the width variation of the BOS. A total of fifteen healthy adults participated in this study. For the width variation of the BOS, the participants changed the width between their feet into three different types(10cm, 32cm, 45cm) and lifted a 10kg four times in each type after going up on a force plate. In order to measure body sways according to the width variation of the BOS, a motion analysis system was used. In addition, in order to measure the muscle activations of lower extremities, including the erector spinae, gluteus maximus, rectus femoris, and tibialis anterior, an electromyogram(EMG) analysis was employed. In addition, the Borg's scale was drawn by quantifying the subjective discomfort levels felt from each width of the BOS. In conclusion, no statistically significant differences according to the width variation of the BOS were observed(p=.295, .308)(p>.05). However, a statistically significant difference was exhibited between the Borg's scale, which indicates the discomfort levels from lifting performances, and the width variation of the BOS (p=$.000^*$).

Horn Type 타(舵)와 한쌍(雙)의 타(舵)의 타직압력(舵直壓力) 계산(計算)에 관한 연구(硏究) (Calculation of the Rudder Normal Force for a Horn Type Rudder and Twin Rudder)

  • 양력면(揚力面)의 양력계산(揚力計算)에 흔히 쓰이고 있는 방법(方法)을 크게 나누면 Vortex Lattice 법(法)과 Mode Function법(法)이 있다. 잘 알려진 것 처럼, Vortex Lattice법(法)은 해(解)의 수렴성(收斂性)은 좋으나 계산시간(計算時間)이 많이 걸리는 문제점(問題點)이 있고, Mode Function법(法)은 계산시간(計算時間)은 짧으나 해(解)가 특이(特異)해 지는 경우가 있다. 그러므로 본(本) 논문(論文)에서는 양방법(兩方法)의 장점(長點)들을 살리도록, 양력면(揚力面)을 Span 방향(方向)으로 분할(分割)하고 각(各) Strip Mode Function을 사용하여 Vortex를 분포(分布)시켜, 양력면이론(揚力面理論)으로 양력(揚力)을 계산(計算)하였다. 우선 Horn Type의 반균형타(半均衡舵)에 본(本) 계산법(計算法)을 적용(適用)하여 타직압력(舵直壓力)을 계산(計算)하고 타(舵) 단독시험(單獨試驗)을 병행(竝行)하여 계산법(計算法)의 유용성(有用性)을 검증(檢證)하였다. 그 결과(結果), Stall과 같은 비선형적(非線形的) 유체현상(流體現象)이 일어나지 않는 한(限), 본(本) 계산법(計算法)은 유용(有用)하다는 결론(結論)을 얻었다. 끝으로, 본(本) 계산법(計算法)을 평행(平行)하게 늘어선 한척(隻)의 장방형타(長方形舵)에 적용(適用)하여 두 타(舵) 사이의 상호간섭(相互干涉)도 계산(計算)하였다.

2차원 와이어 구동식 중량물 권양 시스템을 위한 퍼지제어기 설계 (Design of Fuzzy Controller for a 2-Dimensional Wire-Driven Heavy Material Lifting System)

  • 본 논문에서는 중량물을 들어 올리는 작업자를 돕기 위한 2차원 와이어 구동식 중량물 권양 시스템과 퍼지제어기를 제안한다. 2차원 와이어 구동식 중량물 권양 시스템은 사람이 전체 제어루프에 포함된 인간지원시스템의 일종이다. 기존 인간지원시스템 대부분의 제어 방식이 사용자의 특성을 고려하지 못하는 단점을 해결하기 위하여 물건을 들어 올리는 작업자의 힘을 덜어주어야 하는 요구조건과 사람의 작업 모션을 고려한 퍼지제어기 설계 방식을 제안한다. 실험을 통해 제안된 시스템의 2차원 작업 모션의 성능을 검증한다.
