Objectives: This study's aims were to evaluate the effects of load center of gravity within an object lifted and feet placements on peak EMG amplitude acting on bilateral low back muscle groups, and to suggest adequate foot strategies with an aim to reducing low back pain incidence while lifting asymmetric load. Methods: The hypotheses that asymmetric load imposes more peak EMG amplitude on low back muscles contralateral to load center of gravity than symmetric load and maximum peak EMG amplitude out of bilateral ones can be relieved by locating one foot close to load center of gravity in front of the other were established based on biomechanics including safety margin model and previous researches. 11 male subjects were required to lift symmetrically a 15.8kg object during 2sec according to each conditions; symmetric load-parallel feet (SP), asymmetric load-parallel feet (AP), asymmetric load-one foot contralateral to load center of gravity in front of the other (AL), and asymmetric load-one foot ipsilateral to load center of gravity in front of the other (AR). Bilateral longissimus, iliocostalis, and multifidus on right and left low back area were selected as target muscles, and asymmetric load had load center of gravity 10cm deviated to the right from the center in the frontal plane. Results: Greater peak EMG amplitude in left muscle group than in right one was observed due to the effect of load center of gravity, and mean peak EMG amplitudes on both sides was not affected by load center of gravity because of EMG balancing effect. However, the difference of peak EMG amplitudes between both sides was significantly affected by it. Maximum peak EMG amplitude out of both sides and the difference of peak EMG amplitude between both sides could be reduced with keeping one foot ipsilateral to load center of gravity in front of the other while lifting asymmetric load. Conclusions: It was likely that asymmetric load lead to the elevated incidence of low back pain in comparison with symmetric load based on maximum peak EMG amplitude occurrence and greater imbalanced peak EMG amplitude between both sides. Changing feet positions according to the location of load center of gravity was suggested as one intervention able to reduce the low back pain incidence.
In this paper, a classical gust problem is treated by using the numerical lifting¬-surface theory to verify the effect of gust-a sudden fluctuating fluid velocity around an object, which is normal to the main stream direction-on the hydrody¬namic forces, especially the mean thrust in upstream direction, acting on the two¬-dimensional flat plate. In this case, the mean thrust wholly resorts to the leading edge suction, and it is the same situation to the case of the heaving plate in uniform flow. The ph¬enomenon of leading edge suction is very important for the flapping propulsion of animals, typical to fish and birds, and can be related to the prediction of the hydrodynamic forces acting on marine propellers operating in gustlike wakes of ships. The results of this paper can be easily superposed to those of the reference [1J in order to solve the problem of the two-dimensional oscillacting plate in gust
In the field conservation treatment, it is important that the method chosen to lift an object out of the ground depends on its surrounding weather, strength, size, composition, and condition. This paper describes a physical support(Urethane bandage, De naturation - polyisoprene resin) created for lifting delicate relics in this field. The advantage of Urethane bandage method is of conveniently portable size, and it's convenient for use, while curing time is very fast.(approx. 5~10minute)Denaturation -polyisoprene resin is able to be soft by the hot water(approx. $60^{\circ}C$ ). so it's good to stick to the relic surface of an indeterminate form. The results of use of these reinforcement methods are of utility value.
A crane is typically used as a means to lift and load equipment or materials. A surface vessel uses a towed object for underwater activity. Such a mechanism for dropping and lifting of equipment is necessary, and is called an overboarding unit. The present study is focused on the overboarding unit used for a crane structure. This paper deals with new overboarding mechanism design and GA-based $MATLAB^{(R)}$ optimization. By using a quadrilateral link mechanism, it is possible to set the constraint function for optimizing the GA method. The optimization with $MATLAB^{(R)}$ is followed by the $SolidWorks^{(R)}$ simulation and verification. When applying the proposed mechanism, the operator is expected to have a big advantage in safety and efficiency of operations. Furthermore, the technology developed in this study will be helpful in similar circumstances and in the proposed mechanism.
Robot arms are being increasingly used in various fields with special attention given to unmanned systems. In this research, we developed a high payload dual-arm robot, in which the forearm module is replaceable to meet the assigned task, such as object handling or lifting humans in a rescue operation. With each forearm module specialized for an assigned task (e.g. safety for rescue and redundant joints for object handling task), the robot can conduct various tasks more effectively than could be done previously. In this paper, the design of the high payload dual-arm robot with replaceable forearm function is described in detail. Two forearms are developed here. Each of forearm has quite a different goal. One of the forearms is specialized for human rescue in human familiar flat aspect and compliance parts. Other is for general heavy objects, more than 30 kg, handling with high degree of freedom more than 7.
Hand posture and force, which define aspects of the way an object is grasped, are features of robotics manipulation. A means for specifying these grasping "flavors" has been developed that uses an instrumented glove equipped with joint and force sensors. The new grasp specification system is being used at the Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) in a Virtual Reality based Point-and-Direct(VR-PAD) robotics implementation. In the Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) Laboratory at Penn State, hand posture and force data were collected for manipulating bricks and other items that require varying amounts of force at multiple pressure points. The feasibility of measuring desired grasp characteristics was demonstrated for a modified Cyberglove impregnated with FSR (Force Sensitive Resistor) pressure sensors in the fingertips. A joint/force model relating the parameters of finger articulation and pressure to various lifting tasks was validated for the instrumented "wired" glove. Operators using such a modified glove may ultimately be able to configure robot grasping tasks in environments involving hazardous waste remediation, flexible manufacturing, space operations and other flexible robotics applications. In each case, the VR-PAD approach improved the computational and delay problems of real-time multiple-degree-of-freedom force feedback telemanipulation.ck telemanipulation.

With the acceleration of construction industrialization, the buildings that China has adopted the construction of industrialization technology are increasing day by day, and Precast Concrete (PC) Structure technology is one of the main technologies of construction industrialization. Compared with the traditional cast-in-place concrete structure, PC structure is more conducive to shorten the construction period, reduce the number of construction workers and the site construction waste. Nevertheless, PC structure improves the requirements of hoisting machinery in the construction site, and the lay-out and selection of hoisting machinery become an important factor influencing the construction cost. The paper regards the typical tower crane in China as the research object, and establishes the time optimization model for the lifting scheme. The influence of the different precast rate on the selection of the tower crane is analyzed. This paper obtains the time variation of the tower crane under different precast rate, provides a theoretical basis for the design of precast concrete structures under the influence of assembly construction, and lays the foundation for the selection of tower crane under the precast rate.
