The sessile ctenophores, Lyrocteis imperatoris Komai, 1941 were collected for the first time from Garinyeo, offshore Seogwipo of Jejudo Island by SCUBA diving on June 18, 2009. This species distributed in West North Pacific was newly recorded in Korean waters. Its embryos in various developmental stages were observed in the internal brood chamber.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to describe experiences of sexual life among Korean women with breast cancer. Methods: Data were collected by focus group and individual tape-recorded interviews. The data were analyzed using qualitative content analysis. Results: Participants were 13 women who had stage I, II, or III breast cancer. Four major categories were discovered. "Not interested in sexual life at all" in which participants described their struggle to live while avoiding sexual life during initial stages of disease. "Sexual life that could not go back to previous normal life" in which participants described how they began to recognize many problems related to their sexual life resulting from the loss of femininity and pain during intercourse. "Dangerous marriage due to no sexual life" in which participants illustrated how no or unsatisfactory sexual life threatened their entire marriage and family life. Finally, "rediscovery of sexual life as a vital element in life" in which participants described how, with support from their spouse, they came to realize that sexual life was an important and vital part of their life. Conclusions: The results of this study could help in developing-educational programs to improve sexual well-being of women with breast cancer and their spouses.

The study was aimed to find out whether there are differences in perception toward multicultural youth's career problems according to the four stages of life cycle(adolescence, pre-marriage, family formation child rearing), and multicultural families and non-multicultural respondents. Also is was aimed to find out if there is an interactive effect on problem recognition. A nationwide survey was conducted using questionnaire on the perception of multicultural youth careers and a total of 1,338 responses were used for the final analysis. For the research purpose, a two-way MANOVA was performed. First it was found that multicultural family members had higher negative perceptions of multicultural appearances than non-multicultural family members had and the adolescents had relatively low negative perceptions of personal relationships and social life adaptation of multicultural youth. Also, as a result of examining whether there is an interaction effect on perception of career problems of multicultural adolescents between multicultural families and their life cycle stages, interaction effects existed in all aspects of family environment, career activities, education, and institutions. It has been shown that there are differences in the perception of career issues among members of multicultural families or among non-cultural families.

In this paper a computer aided analysis method is proposed for durability assessment in the early design stages using dynamic analysis, stress analysis and fatigue life prediction method. From dynamic analysis of a vehicle suspension system, dynamic load time histories of a suspension component are calculated. From the dynamic load time histories and the stress of the suspension component, a dynamic stress time history at the critical location is produced using the superposition principle. Using linear damage law and cycle counting method, fatigue life cycle is calculated. The predicted fatigue life cycle is verified by experimental durability tests.

The purpose of this study was to examine changes in the household investment planning according to the family life cycle, to improve the household investment planning process, and to develop research model. The results were as follows : Household investment planning varied with stages of the family life cycle because the stock of resources shifted and financial goals changed as the family life cycle stage changed. The main financial goals of family in each stage of the life cycle were the purchasing of house in the establishing stage, children's education and marriage in the extending stage, and the elderly's economic welfare in the diminishing stage. Also, in the Ⅰ & Ⅱ stage the most important investment goals were the purchasing of house, children's education in the Ⅲ stage, children's marriage in the Ⅳ stage, and the elderly's economic welfare in the Ⅴ stage. Therefore, the financial goals were recognized as the important goals underlain the investment-planning goals, and alternatives for the accomplishment of investment-planning goals were determined. The results of this study can contribute to establish the long-run investment planning process and improve the level of household's financial well-being.

This article analyzes film performances in the Korean movie market utilizing three-stage models that incorporate available information in three different stages of the movie life cycle, i.e., at the time of its release, at the end of the first week, and at the end of its life cycle. Based on the premise that the performance of a movie is affected principally by factors of scale, evaluation, and competition, we attempted to ascertain the effects on these factors on performances, and how they differ in different stages. Also, by analyzing domestic and foreign movies released in Korea separately, we were able to compare the different effects of the three factors on the performances of the two categories of movies. Additionally, our movie performance models incorporated herding behavior among the customers. Our results demonstrate that herding is prominently observed after the first week only for domestic movies. In general, the scale factor has been shown to be most important for movie performances in all stages. For foreign films, it is particularly critical for the first week and total performances. Whereas the evaluation factor influences domestic film performance more strongly at the screen choice stage, it affects the performance of foreign films more strongly in the later stages of the life cycle. As compared to foreign films, domestic film performance appears to be more sensitive to the competition factor. We also discuss the effects of covariates such as genre and symbolicity on movie performance.
