We present a library of high spectral resolution (R ~ 40,000) and high signal-to-noise ratio (S/N ~ 200) near-infrared spectra of ~50 late-type stars. The spectra of late-type stars were obtained with Immersion GRating INfrared Spectrograph (IGRINS) covering the full H and K band. The stars are mainly from MK standard stars which have well-defined spectral types and luminosity classes and cover wide ranges of effective temperatures and surface gravities. The spectra are corrected for telluric absorption lines and absolutely flux calibrated using the Two Micron All Sky Survey (2MASS) photometry. In this work, we present the preliminary results of spectroscopic diagnostics for stellar physical parameters. Our ultimate goal is to provide a library of near-infrared spectra of standard stars, which covers all spectral types and luminosity classes, with a high spectral resolution and high signal-to-noise ratio.

This study aimed to establish a systematic and comprehensive operational plan for the library to be constructed in the Gwacheon Knowledge Information Town. To achieve this, a survey on the demand for library operations was conducted among actual users of the Gwacheon City Public Library, and plans for the library collection development, user services, and methods to revitalize use were formulated based on the survey results. The findings are as follows. First, the library's construction/space analysis results suggest the need for a multifunctional cultural space accessible to everyone, serving as both a relaxation area and venue for a free information exchange and communication, allowing for a certain level of noise to facilitate an open atmosphere for users. Second, the analysis of the preferred types and forms of library materials revealed that printed materials ranked first, followed by web resources in the second place, and e-books/e-journals in the third. Additionally, there was a high preference for subjects such as literature and history. Third, a high preference was observed for cultural and arts programs, indicating the need for the future Gwacheon Knowledge Information Town Library to strengthen and implement programs focusing on cultural and artistic themes.

Robust voice recognition (RVR) is essential for a robot to communicate with people. One of the main problems with RVR for robots is that robots inevitably real environment noises. The noise is captured with strong power by the microphones, because the noise sources are closed to the microphones. The signal-to-noise ratio of input voice becomes quite low. However, it is possible to estimate the noise by using information on the robot's own motions and postures, because a type of motion/gesture produces almost the same pattern of noise every time it is performed. In this paper, we propose an RVR system which can robustly recognize voice by adults and children in noisy environments. We evaluate the RVR system in a communication robot placed in a real noisy environment. Voice is captured using a wireless microphone. Navigation Strategy is shown Obstacle detection and local map, Design of Goal-seeking Behavior and Avoidance Behavior, Fuzzy Decision Maker and Lower level controller. The final hypothesis is selected based on posterior probability. We then select the task in the motion task library. In the motion control, we also integrate the obstacle avoidance control using ultrasonic sensors. Those are powerful for detecting obstacle with simple algorithm.
Since the 1990s, discussions regarding green libraries started in the U.S.A, in the name of 'library and the environment', 'Green librarians', 'constructing of environmental sources', 'noise and library', 'building libraries as an environmental alternative' and etc. Currently, green libraries certified by an evaluation system are more than 50. This study proposes a direction to build a green library. The study analyzes national and international green libraries certified by the evaluation system. The cases are analyzed based on the six evaluation factors in the LEED certification system; Sustainable Site, Water Efficiency, Energy and Atmosphere, Material and Resources, Indoor Environmental Quality, Innovation and Design Process. Since the evaluation system focuses mainly on the architectural aspects, there was a need of expanding the concept of eco-friendly in this research. The newly expanded eco-friendly concept includes services, content, and supplies of libraries.

This paper studied a method of attenuating nonlinear noise using a Wiener filter of a neural network structure in an acoustic noise attenuator. This system improves nonlinear noise attenuation performance with a deep learning algorithm using a neural network Wiener filter instead of using a conventional adaptive filter. A voice is estimated from a single input voice signal containing nonlinear noise using a 128-neuron, 8-neuron hidden layer and an error back propagation algorithm. In this study, a simulation program using the Keras library was written and a simulation was performed to verify the attenuation performance for nonlinear noise. As a result of the simulation, it can be seen that the noise attenuation performance of this system is significantly improved when the FNN filter is used instead of the Wiener filter even when nonlinear noise is included. This is because the complex structure of the FNN filter expresses any type of nonlinear characteristics well.

Recently, attention has been drawn to a new form of a public library, that is, a public library in a complex facility constructed in the same building or site with another facility. To get active users' or local governments' supports in the public library in a complex facility, it is necessary to build library strategic plans based on the analysis of users' evaluation and demands. Thus, this study analyzed the user satisfaction and perception of the 28 public libraries in complex facilities in Seoul. As a result, it was found that most users overall satisfied with public libraries in complex facilities in terms of human resources, information resources, and the links among services and positively perceived their environments and services. In order to provide more satisfaction to the users in public libraries in complex facilities first, it is necessary to improve the accessibility of libraries, to secure the sufficient library space, to prevent the outside noise, to link the facilities which bring mutual synergistic effect, and to develop a program and service accompanying other facilities.

We present the high-resolution near-infrared spectra of standard stars observed with Immersion Grating Infrared Spectrograph (IGRINS). IGRINS covers the full spectral range of H and K bands simultaneously with a high spectral resolution (R=40,000), revealing many previously undetected and/or unknown lines. In this work, we present preliminary results of spectroscopic diagnostics for stellar physical parameters. Our ultimate goal is to provide a library of near-infrared spectra of standard stars, which covers all spectral types and luminosity classes, with a high-resolution and high signal to noise ratio ($SNR{\geq}200$).
'Semantic gap' has been a year-old problem in automatic video summarization, which refers to the gap between semantics implied in video summarization algorithms and what people actually infer from watching videos. Using the external EEG bio-feedback obtained from video watchers as a solution of this semantic gap problem has several another issues: First, how to define and measure noises against ERP waveforms as signals. Second, whether individual differences among subjects in terms of noise and SNR for conventional ERP studies using still images captured from videos are the same with those differently conceptualized and measured from videos. Third, whether individual differences of subjects by noise and SNR levels help to detect topic-irrelevant shots as signals which are not matched with subject's own semantic topical expectations (mis-match negativity at around 400m after stimulus on-sets). The result of repeated measures ANOVA test clearly shows a 2-way interaction effect between topic-relevance and noise level, implying that subjects of low noise level for video watching session are sensitive to topic-irrelevant visual shots, while showing another 3-way interaction among topic-relevance, noise and SNR levels, implying that subjects of high noise level are sensitive to topic-irrelevant visual shots only if they are of low SNR level.
Deep neural networks (DNNs) provide good performance for machine learning tasks such as image recognition and object recognition. However, DNNs are vulnerable to an adversarial example. An adversarial example is an attack sample that causes the neural network to recognize it incorrectly by adding minimal noise to the original sample. However, the disadvantage is that it takes a long time to generate such an adversarial example. Therefore, in some cases, an attack may be necessary that quickly causes the neural network to recognize it incorrectly. In this paper, we propose a fast misclassification sample that can rapidly attack neural networks. The proposed method does not consider the distortion of the original sample when adding noise. We used MNIST and CIFAR10 as experimental data and Tensorflow as a machine learning library. Experimental results show that the fast misclassification sample generated by the proposed method can be generated with 50% and 80% reduced number of iterations for MNIST and CIFAR10, respectively, compared to the conventional Carlini method, and has 100% attack rate.

We fabricated and characterized Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) using MCM-C (Multi-Chip-Module-Cofired) technology for 2.14 GHz IMT-2000 mobile terminal application. First, We designed LNA circuits and simulated it's high frequency characteristics using circuits simulator. For the simulation, we adopted high frequency libraries of all the devices used in LNA samples. By the simulation, Gain was 17 dB and Noise Figure was 1.4 dB. We used multilayer process of LTCC (Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramics) substrate and conductor, resistor pattern for the MCM-C LNA fabrication. We made 2 buried inductors, 2 buried capacitors and 3 buried resistors. The number of the total layers was 6. On the top layer, we patterned microstrip line and pads for the SMT device. We measured the high frequency characteristics, and the results were 14.7 dB Gain and 1.5 dB Noise Figure.
