이 연구는 영유아 보호자가 공공도서관을 이용하는 행태를 살펴보고, 이들이 재이용하거나 타인에게 이용을 추천하는 데 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하기 위해 도서관의 영유아 서비스 인식 정도를 측정해보고, 이러한 인식 정도가 도서관의 이용행태, 재이용과 타인 추천 의사에 미치는 영향에 대하여 고찰해보았다. 이 연구는 광주광역시 소재의 공공도서관 4곳을 이용하는 영유아의 보호자 146명을 대상으로 인구통계학적 특성, 도서관 이용행태, 도서관 서비스 인식 정도, 도서관 재이용, 타인에게 추천하는 마음 등에 관한 설문조사를 하였다. 이 설문을 분석해 본 결과, 영유아 보호자의 도서관 이용행태를 통해 그들의 재이용이나 타인에게 추천하려는 마음에 영향을 주는 요인은 영유아 보호자의 개인적인 요인보다는 도서관에서 제공하는 다양한 서비스 요인 중에 정보자료 확충성, 공간시설 안정성, 공간시설 접근용이성, 프로그램 참여용이성 등의 요인이 더 큰 영향을 주고 있음을 확인할 수 있다.

최근의 도서관 변화의 가장 큰 특징으로 먼저 이용자의 변화를 들 수가 있는데 평일의 학생이용중심에서 주부, 무직자, 고령자 이용과 휴일에는 가족동반이용 등으로 이용자의 속성이 변화하고 있고 이에 따라 체재형도 서관이라고 하는 새로운 개념의 도서관이 출현하여 이용자의 속성에 대응하는 형태로 독서서비스를 제공하고 있다. 본 연구는 체재형 도서관으로의 이행시기에 있는 도심의 공공도서관을 대상으로 도서관내에서의 가족의 이용행동 조사하여 가족이용유형의 구성특징 및 공간구성과의 상관관계를 분석하고 비독서행위에 대하여 고찰을 행하였다.

이 연구는 대학생의 다양한 학습활동에 있어서 도서관과 도서관목록의 이용행태를 살펴보고, 이러한 행태 속에서 나타나는 대학도서관 목록의 가치와 의미를 밝혀내고자 하였다. 또한, 다양한 학습활동의 유형과 인적 변인에 따른 행태의 차이를 다각도로 분석함으로서, 이용자 집단의 특성을 고려한 '맞춤형 목록서비스'를 제공하기 위한 기초 자료를 확보하고자 하였다. 이 연구를 위해 대학생 30명을 대상으로 심층인터뷰를 실시하였으며, 보다 면밀한 접근을 위해 도서관목록 탐색행태에 대한 관찰법을 함께 실시하였다. 조사결과, 현재 대학도서관목록은 특정 자료의 소장유무 확인과 서가위치 파악과 같은 최소한의 목적을 위해 사용되고 있었으며, 도서관목록이 대학생의 학습활동을 위한 포괄적인 탐색도구로 기능하려면 대학생들의 정보행태에 기반한 전반적인 품질개선이 필요함을 강조하였다.

The purpose of this work was to study library website users' actions by tracking their behavior, determining popular content, and identifying browsing patterns and subsequent improvement of access to popular content. The study of behavior models and the use of web analytics has led to the emergence of solutions that improve the usability and functionality of the State Public Scientific-Technological Library of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SPSTL SB RAS) website. These are: identifying user tasks as they are developed, conducting user testing to better understand the event. tracking data and collecting additional data to verify the effectiveness of the changes made. Examining data on the duration of the session and the number of visits will help determine the goals of user visits and develop new recommendations. Usability analysis and testing will make it possible to compare the data obtained using web analytics and the perception of the library site by the users themselves. Recommendations are offered to libraries on the use of data on the real behavior of the target audience of the library website to improve access to library resources and services, increase their relevance and improve information services.

본 연구의 목적은 Ajzen의 확장된 계획행동이론(ETPB)을 바탕으로 시민들의 공공도서관 이용 의도에 영향을 주는 요인을 검토하는 데에 있다. 이를 위해 ETPB의 요인인 태도, 주관적 규범, 지각된 행동통제에 추가하여 도서관 지식, 그리고 개인적 특성과 같은 요인들을 기반으로 설문지를 개발, 설문조사를 실시한 후, 공공도서관 이용 의도에 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 통계적으로 분석하였다. 그 결과, 공공도서관 이용 의도에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 요인은 도서관 지식인 것으로 나타났고 태도도 높은 영향력을 보여주었다. 주관적 규범과 지각된 행동통제 역시 공공도서관 이용 의도에 정의 영향을 주며, 개인적 특성 중 연령대, 최종학력, 가계소득, 공공도서관 이용 경험이 공공도서관 이용 의도에 유의한 차이를 가져오는 변수임을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 공공도서관 이용자의 범위 확대를 위한 고려사항을 검토하였다.

본 연구의 목적은 대학생들의 다양한 생활태도와 특성이 대학도서관에서 학술정보 탐색행동에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 계획된 행동이론을 적용하여 조사하는데 있다. 설문지법을 이용하여 대학생을 대상으로 데이터를 수집하였으며, 데이터 분석을 위해 일원배치분산분석, 요인분석, 회기분석, 군집분석 등의 통계방법을 사용하였다. 연구결과 계획된 행동이론이 학술정보 탐색행동에 적용될 수 있음을 확인하였으며, 전공계열과 도서관 이용 빈도가 탐색행동에 대한 태도, 인지된 행동통제, 탐색행동 의사 변인에 있어서 유의미한 차이를 보여주었다. 학생 유형은 보수형, 독립형, 사교형, 유행형으로 구분되었는데, 이 중 사교형 학생 유형이 탐색행동에 영향을 미치고 있었다. 6개 군집으로 구분한 결과 사교형 및 독립형의 학생 유형과 도서관 이용 빈도가 높은 학생들이 많이 포함된 집단에서 학술정보 탐색행동에 적극적인 의사를 가지고 있었다.

이 연구는 대학생들을 사례로 하여 학습과 관련한 각종 활동의 실체를 파악하고 그러한 활동 과정에서 두드러지는 정보행태적 특징을 밝혀냄으로써 대학도서관 서비스를 '이용자 친화적'으로 혁신하기 위한 기초 자료를 확보하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 이러한 목적을 성취하고자 이 연구에서는, 첫째, 대학생의 학습활동을 분석하여 유형화하고 학습활동의 유형에 따른 정보행태적 특징을 밝혀내었으며, 둘째, 정보행태적 관점을 중시하면서 학습정보원으로서 대학도서관이 갖는 비중과 이용행태를 파악하였고, 마지막으로, 대학도서관이용에 영향을 미치는 인적 변인을 드러내고 그러한 변인에 따른 도서관이용행태의 차이를 밝혀내었다. 연구에 필요한 데이터는 290명의 대학생을 대상으로 한 설문조사를 통해 수집하였으며, 수집한 데이터는 빈도분석과 교차분석을 거쳐 논점의 전개를 위해 활용하였다.

A library catalog is most important finding tool to a library collection. This tool should be so designed as to enable users to handle with ease and convenience. Library catalog use study is necessary in order to identify the demands made on the catalog by its actual users and to measure the adequacy with which the catalog is meeting these demands. Many major catalog use surveys were performed by means of questionnaire and interview, but these methods are so difficult and perverse that the results of catalog use studies might often be far from scientific precision. The aim of this paper is to seek the guidelines with which one might assist the catalogers in providing an effective library catalog for their patrons. In order to get the first-hand information an actual survey was undertaken on searching behavior at the catalog of Jeonbug National University Library from November 30 to December 5, 1981 and from May 17 to May 22, 1982. The results of the survey can be summarized as follows: 1. Most of the students (79.77%) use the library. 2. Most of the library patrons (74.52%) use the public catalog as the searching tool to the library collection. 3. 67.85% of the catalog users are interested in searching materials written in Korean, Japanese, and Chinese. 4. 72.86% of the catalog users are interested in searching known items at catalog. 5. In known item searching, 49.44% of the catalog users choose title entry. 6. 20.17% of the catalog users are interested subject searching at the catalog. 7. Reference card is not utilized in searching. 8. For the translated items users want double entries in both vernacular and Korean. 9. At current catalog description, author, title, call number, translator, publisher and joint author are useful entry. Edition, author's date of birth and death, illustrative, size of book and bibliographical notes are not much utilized. 10. 55.39% of the catalog user need systematic guidance on how to use the library catalog and collection.

오늘날 시각장애인은 정보접근과 도서관 이용에 많은 어려움을 겪고 있다. 이에 공공도서관은 장애인의 기본권(정보접근 이용권)을 보장하여 시각장애인의 지식정보격차를 해소하고 정보해득력을 강화 시켜 삶의 질 향상과 사회참여 통합을 이룰 수 있도록 해야 한다. 본 연구는 시각장애인의 정보요구와 정보이용행태를 분석하고 그들이 도서관을 어떻게 이용하고 있는지를 살펴봄으로써 시각장애인을 위한 공공도서관 서비스의 구체적이고 실질적인 방안을 제시하고자 하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 대구광역시립수성도서관에 정상회원으로 등록된 시각장애인을 대상으로 전화면담기법을 사용하여 그들의 정보요구, 정보원 선택 및 이용행태, 정보입수의 어려움과 격차, 공공도서관 이용행태, 공공도서관 서비스 이용의 만족도를 분석하였다.

Previous studies have found that the use or development of theory in library and information science (LIS) research is comparatively low and may be trending downward. LIS has also been criticized for relying on theories imported from other disciplines rather than applying or developing theories from within. The theory of information worlds, a social information behavior theory originally introduced in 2008, represents a newer LIS theory whose level of adoption is understudied. This study features a systematic literature review of peer-reviewed research articles which cited or used the theory of information worlds from 2008 to early 2022 to identify trends related to levels of theory use, publication venues, author affiliations, countries, and collaborations, as well as research methods, topics, and populations. Findings suggest that both awareness and use of the theory of information worlds are positively trending, though at slower rates for higher levels of theory use, such as full applications of the theory to guide the collection and analysis of empirical data. The theory has also been used by researchers from around the world and across disciplines, most often with mixed and qualitative methods. While the growth of a new LIS theory is promising, the authors echo calls for increased use and development of the theory of information worlds, and other LIS theories more broadly, and as more interdisciplinary collaboration.
