This study investigates the antecedents of the complaining behaviors and complaint responses of the library and information center users based on the theoretical backgrounds and suggests eight propositions and conceptual model for the library and information center. It examines as the antecedents, satisfaction/dissatisfaction, attitude toward complaining, likelihood of success, materials/facilities/service importance, attribution, loyalty, and justices; and as complaint responses. exit, voice(redress seeking), negative word-of-mouth, and third party complaints.

Information technology is affecting most areas of society in information society, schools are facing with the change of learning methods by computer and internet. The purpose of this study is to apply internet technology to school library, for maximizing the function of school library in information age. This study designed and implemented th ISLMC(Internet School Library Media Center) using the WWW, that gathers, processes and stores the useful information resources on the internet and effectively provides these to teachers, students and their parents of the learning activities.

As the varification of public library services has been come true through the increase of multimedia information accompanied with the development of information tachnology and the advent of various electronic materials the repetitive and labo intensive process has been cut down by the development of network system. Recentrly the electronic library using outside networks electronic library facilities at the time of their new contructions. In this study it is aimed that the outline of the library planning is presented with the case analyses of domestic and foreign libraries especially concerning the kinds and features of the required spaces for electronic libraries their scale basic facilities. The conclusions of this study are : First the spaces requred for electronic library are as mentioned below: catalgue are equipped with terminal information service center reference room electronic reading room computer training center and conference room. Second computer room for management and electronic information center has been made recently in the Library of Seoul City. The space for librarians room is to be 5.48$m^2$ per person on average and for electronic information center of library provided with an exclusive use is to be 5.1$m^2$ per person.

The school library plays an important role to improve the student's mental activity and cultivate the formation of character and emotion. Especially in the information society, the students must collect, select and utilize the necessary information themselves. The school library has to collect, put in order and keep the book, audiovisual material and necessary information beyond it about the entire education and to offer the students and teachers them for the general school education. The school library has to be a center of school education and drive forwards the spontaneous and subjective learning activity as well as progress the education process. The school library must be the place to preserve the student's subjective study ability, that is, consolidate the materials as the study center and be composed of proper study materials for the solving-problem and research. Also to be perfect in the role of the information center, the school library has to be consolidated in accordance with development of various information softwares and ways including the newspaper, magazine, video, CD, laser disk and computer. It is required for the information of school library to be corresponded actively to the multi-media society.

It's desirable to implement the network of school libraries based on the department of city or regional education. The digital library supporting center is an integrated information system implemented by the department of city or regional education for supporting school libraries. Busan Metropolitan Department of Education for the first time implemented a digital library supporting center, supported by digital libraries & the digital library supporting center project proceeded by the Department of Education and KERIS. This study at first is to present basic technologies applied in implementing a digital library supporting center and foreign country cases, and then to introduce information system of Busan Metropolitan Department of Education.

This paper starts by exploring the problems of public education under knowledge based society. It then analyzes the questionnaire about the function of school library media center as a culture space. The results show that school library media center should take a role as repertory appreciation center of various arts, recreation center, and interactive community.

This study was a basic study for the establishment of basic policies for the operation of Sejong City Library. It was intended to establish and operate the functions and roles of Sejong City Library by conducting a general survey on the current status, user demand, expert opinion, and librarian opinion survey. As a result, the Sejong City Library is the representative library of Sejong Special Self-Governing City, which oversees all public and small libraries in Sejong Special Self-Governing City and carries out support and cooperation projects, and should improve the development of the local community and the quality of life of local residents by providing more convenient and equal access to provide information services and cultural programs. Second, apart from providing library services to local residents in Sejong Special Self-Governing City, the functions of the Sejong Special Self-Governing City's representative library and hub library, knowledge and information center, lifelong education center, social and cultural center, leisure culture center, leisure and convenience center, and furthermore, it should function as a policy information support center. Finally, in order to enhance the brand value of Sejong City Library, the Sejong City Library as a landmark in Sejong area, the Sejong City Library as an art and cultural hub in Sejong area, the Sejong City Library as a complex cultural space in Sejong area, and the Sejong City Library as a center for Sejong Studies were proposed.

In this study, It designated to grasp and analyse the status and problem regarding whole information service system in the object of specialized information center in scientific and technological fields which is designated and supported by KISTI(Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information). And with this basis, it presented the efficient information service plan which reflected and adopted recent information technology, of specialized information center in scientific and technical fields To acquisite and analyse about the status and problem regarding whole information service system of specialized information center in scientific and technical fields, it executed a preceding research analysis, a questionnaire investigation, conversation which leads a direct visit to corresponding agency, website analysis of home page related corresponding agency, and the brainstorming method which leads the conference of the regular discussion with specialist in related fields in parallel.

From all nations the disabled person experiences many difficulties from the process which obtain informations and use libraries. So the advanced nations is concentrating on establishment of the information gap solution policy for the disabled person. Based on these situations, this research analyzed the national library service policies for the disabled person in the United States and the United Kingdom and Japan, and proposed desirable position and operation plans of the disabled person library support center of the National Library of Korea.
