  • The fusion of a different kind sensor is fusion of the obtained data by the respective independent technology. This is a important technology for the construction of 3D spatial information. particularly, information is variously realized by the fusion of LiDAR and mobile scanning system and digital map, fusion of LiDAR data and high resolution, LiDAR etc. This study is to generate union DEM and digital ortho image by the fusion of LiDAR data and high resolution image and monitor precisely topology, building, trees etc in urban areas using the union DEM and digital ortho image. using only the LiDAR data has some problems because it needs manual linearization and subjective reconstruction.

  • Recently, the studies on the extraction of 3-dimension coordinate and attribute information of objects using LiDAR data are carried out widely. LiDAR data has high locational accuracy, and advantage that can process data more fast because there's not coordinate transform when acquire of Data justly the ground coordinate by Acquiring. The purpose of the paper using only LiDAR data Manufacture road, building, contour That occupy a many parts of Digital Map. Estimated for possibility of Digital mapping using only LiDAR data As that compare accuracy with traditional Digital map.

  • AT(Aerial Triangulation) is the essential procedure for creating orthophoto and transforming coordinates on the photographs into the real world coordinates utilizing GCPs (Ground Control Point) which is obtained by field survey and the external orientation factors from GPS/INS as a reference coordinates. In this procedure, all of the GCPs can be collected from field survey using GPS and Total Station, or obtained from digital maps. Collecting GCPs by field survey is accurate than GCPs from digital maps; however, lots of manpower should be put into the collecting procedure, and time and cost as well. On the other hand, in the case of obtaining GCPs from digital maps, it is very difficult to secure the required accuracy because almost things at each stage in the collecting procedure should rely on the subjective judgement of the performer. In this study, the results from three methods have been compared for the accuracy assessment in order to know if the results of each case is within the allowance error: for the perceivable objects such as road boarder, speed bumps, constructions etc., 1) GCPs selection utilizing the unique LiDAR intensity value reflected from such objects, 2) using LiDAR DSM and 3) GCPs from field survey. And also, AT and error analysis have been carried out w ith GCPs obtained by each case.

  • In this paper, we have constructed high-resolution topographical map of macro-tidal Malipo beach through integration of terrestrial LiDAR measurement and MBES survey data at inter-tidal zone. To acquire the enough information of inter-tidal zone, we have done terrestrial LiDAR measurement mounted on the roof of vehicle with DGPS through go-stop-scan method at the ebb tide and MBES depth surveying with tide gauge and eye staff measurement for tide correction and MSL calculation at the high tide all together. To integrate two kinds of data, we have unified the vertical coordination standard to Incheon MSL. The mean error of overlapped inter-tidal zone is about 2~6 cm. To verify the accuracy of terrestrial LiDAR, RTK-DGPS measurement have done simultaneously and the difference of Z value RMSE is about 4~7 cm. The resolution of Malipo topographical map is 50 cm and it has constructed to DEM (Digital Elevation Model) based on GIS. Now it has used as an input topography information for the storm-surge inundation prediction models. Also it will be possible to use monitoring of beach process through the long-term periodic measurement and GIS-based 3D spatial analysis calculating the erosion and deposition considering with the artificial beach transition and coastal environmental parameters.

  • Road Design is being reached to the working design to produce drawings, calculate construction quantity and cost, through the basic design that contained feasibility study and all impact assessment. In general, to plan the route we use topographic map. The vertical positional accuracy is 30cm and horizontal positional accuracy is 35cm in 1:1,000 scale topographic map. In LiDAR, vertical positional accuracy is 15cm and horizontal positional accuracy is 30cm. So if we use LiDAR on road design, more accurate earth-volumn will be calculated when we plan the route. In this paper we try to find the method to use the LiDAR data on road design by drawing the profile and cross sectional view and comparing the earth-volumn to the road that working design is in process adopting the topographic map and LiDAR data.

  • The world which based on knowledge and information is changing significantly. In the various knowledge and information, the importance of GSIS has increased for efficient application and management of country. The Geomatics has made a change rapidly, observation methods have improved too. The existing acquisition of Geoinformation depend on aerial photogtaphs, but new technology Jike application of high resolution satellite images. SAR and LiDAR, is the fastest. especially, LiDAR surveying is most advanced active observation technology and Geoinfomtation is acquired by reflection of its laser pulse. In this study. the position accuracy of extracted building from LiDAR was evaluated by GPS surveying, then each data was made comparison between LiDAR's and GPS's data. After processing. the result of this study will be suggested basic data about application.

  • LiDAR data often include outliers, the points being signficantly separated from other points and so seeming not to be measured from physical surfaces. Outliers should be removed before processing further the data for applications. Many methods have been developed for other data rather than LiDAR data as a part of data mining processes but their straightforward application to LiDAR data did not provide satisfactory results. In this study, we have thus modified one of such methods by considering the properties of LiDAR data and developed a method based on the relative point density. The proposed method have been applied to simulated and real data. The results confirms its promising performance with respect to the processing time and the detection accuracy

  • The purpose of this paper is forcasting of flooding area using LiDAR surveying data, and flood map for damage prevention is established for this purpose. Teahwa river at Ulsan city was chosen as test area and the flood simulation was produced in this area. For the flood simulation, each DEM using LiDAR data and digital map was established and then HEC model program and MIKE program was used to decide the amount of flood flowing and flood height. To improve the rainfall-overflow simulation confidence using inspection comparison of LiDAR data this paper analyzed and compared the LiDAR DEM accuracy and 1/5000 digital map DEM. The height accuracy is important factor to make flood map, however, LiDAR survey execution of all river area is not economic so, LiDAR survey execution of only important area is possible to be make high accuracy and economic flood map. The expectation effect of flood simulation is flood damage prevention and economic savings of recovery cost by forcasting of rainfall-overflow area and establishment of counter-measure.

  • This study intends to analyze how long the landfill site will be available by estimating maximum volume of landfill. Preestimated volume was calculated using digital maps and scheme drawings. The latest reclamation volume was measured using the state-of-the-art airborne LiDAR technology. Based on these data. landfill volume of now, carries in volume of past a few years and subsidence rate were calculated. As a result of study, the remaining capacity of this landfill site was estimated that it would be available till 2045.
