Purpose: To compare the clinical and radiological results of anterior cruciate ligament(ACL) reconstruction using hamstring autograft and tibialis tendon allograft. Materials and Methods: Twenty four ACL reconstructions using hamstring autograft and 30 using tibialis anterior tendon altograft were followed up at least 1 year. We performed femoral tunnel fixation with Ligament Anchor(LA) screw and tibial tunnel fixation with biodegradable interference screw. Evaluations included Lysholm knee(LK) score, Tegner activity scale, Lachman test, Pivot-Shift test, Quardriceps atrophy, incision site numbness, anterior knee pain and instrumented anterior laxity with $Telos^{(R)}$ device. Results: Preoperativ mean LK score was $60.3(18{\sim}82)$ in autograft group and 61.2(25-80) in allograft group. Mean LK score improved to $91.6(68{\sim}100)\;and\;92.6(77{\sim}100)$ respectively. Activity level, using Tegner activity scale, slightly decreased compared with that of Preinjury state in both groups. Lachman test, pivot-shift test, Quadriceps atrophy, anterior knee pain, incision site numbness, and anterior drawer test using $Telos^{(R)}$ device showed no significant difference between two groups (p>0.05). Conclusion: In performing the ACL reconstruction, there was no statistically significant difference between hamstring autograft group and tibilis anterior allograft group in clinical or in radiological results.

This study's objects are to suggest effective forest community-level management measures by identifying the vulnerable forest vegetation communities types to climate change through a comparative analysis with present forest communities identified and delineated in the Actual Vegetation Map. The methods of this study are to classify the climatic life zones based on the correlative climate-vegetation relationship for each forest vegetation community, the Holdridge Bio-Climate Model was employed. This study confirms relationship between forest vegetation and environmental factors using Pearson's correlation coefficient analysis. Then, the future distribution of forest vegetation are predicted derived factors and present distribution of vegetation by utilizing the multinomial logit model. The vulnerability of forest to climate change was evaluated by identifying the forest community shifts slower than the average velocity of forest moving (VFM) for woody plants, which is assumed to be 0.25 kilometers per year. The major findings in this study are as follows : First, the result of correlative analysis shows that summer precipitation, mean temperature of the coldest month, elevation, soil organic matter contents, and soil acidity (pH) are highly influencing factors to the distribution of forest vegetation. Secondly, the result of the vulnerability assessment employing the assumed velocity of forest moving for woody plants (0.25kmjyear) shows that 54.82% of the forest turned out to be vulnerable to climate change. The sub-alpine vegetations in regions around Mount Jiri and Mount Seorak are predicted to shift the dominance toward Quercus mongolica and Pinus densiflora communities. In the identified vulnerable areas centering the southern and eastern coastal regions, about 8.27% of the Pinus densiflora communities is likely to shift to sub-tropical forest communities, and 3.38% of the Quercus mongolica communities is likely to shift toward Quercus acutissima communities. In the vulnerable areas scattered throughout the country, about 8.84% of the Quercus mongolica communities is likely to shift toward Pinus densiflora communities due to the effects of climate change. The study findings concluded that challenges associated with predicting the future climate using RCM and the assessment of the future vulnerabilities of forest vegetations to climate change are significant.

Continuing shift service of clinical nurses can be not only the cause of occupational dissatisfaction by being connected with the change of circadian rhythm and the burden of duties to be applicable to such changes. But also of inviting the lowering of nursing quality by being affected to the resignation of the nurses as the threat to the health of the nurses. This study has selected 500 nurses at random under non-probability sampling who have been serving by shift in 7 general hospitals which have over 400 sickbeds for the purpose of cross-sectional survey design from Sep. 7 through 20, 1996. Standardized modification of the CMI has been used which was designed for Koreans with Cornell Medical Index developed by Broadman and his fellow workers as the study device. The structure of the device was composed of 35 questions on physical appeal(Chronbach's ${\alpha}=8507$) and 22 questions of mental appeal(Cronbach's ${\alpha}=.8166$ totalling 57 questions. The collected data has been computerrized by using SPSS. General character, present symptom, perceived symptom and others are sought by practical number and percentage, and the health condition comparison followed by general characters was conducted by t-test and ANOVA. The post test was by Duncan's test by the level of p<.05. 1) The items of the answer that they have the physical symptom presently by 50% or over of the nurses were as "Do you often have spells of severe dizziness", "Are your eyes often red or inflamed", "Does press or pain in the head often make like miserable", "Are your ankles often badly swollen", "Do pains in the back make it hard for you to keep up with your work". 2) The items of the answer by over 50% of the nurses as the mental symptom at present were "do you fell bad when criticized?", "Do you get angry when everything is against your will?", "do you get angry when ordered to do this and that?", "do you feel uneasy by such a trifle thing?", "do you tremble or are you freightened by sudden sound?". The mental and physical symptoms which have appeared presently in connection with the shift service have been agreed with each other. But the physical condition has been worse than the mental one. 3) In the physical health conditions followed by demosociological character, there were the significant differences by sex, religion and place of residence(p<.05), and in the mental health conditions, there were the significant differences by age, marital status, residence place and the required time for attending hospital(p<.05). 4) There was significant difference by the degree of satisfaction about the duty in both the physical and mental health conditions. In short, the higher the degree of duty satisfaction, the better the health conditions. 5) There were the significant difference according to the times of night duty and whether they take the drug or not or the kinds of the drugs in the physical health conditions related with the characters of night shift. Mental health conditions in the night shift case showed significant differences according to their taking drug or not or the kinds of the drugs(p<.05). I can confirm that the nurses have been affected continuously by the shift service mentally and physically. The maintenance of the physical and mental health of the nurses and its promotion are very important problem to guarantee the quality nursing in the performance of the nursing service continuously and effectively, so the hospital should make every effort to improve the duty conditions by finding out the causes affecting to their health. In the nursing management viewpoint, I think that elevating the satisfaction degree about the duty would be a great help to the promotion of physical and mental health conditions. But what is most important is that the nurses themselves should take care of themselves in maintaining the good conditions in their service in the hospital.
The purpose of this study is to find out the difference in circadian rhythm and level of fatigue between ER and General Ward Nurse. This study was done through analyzing body temperature, heart rate and major electrolytes such as $Na^+$ and $K^+$ concentration on urinalysis, which are related to factors of circadian rhythm and level of fatigue. The subjects, 17 nurses from Emergency Room and 25 nurses from general ward, were selected from a General Hospital in Taegu City on August 8 to 23, 1998. And the data were analyzed by proportion, t-test, chi-square and Pearson's Correlation, ANCOVA, using SAS program. The results of this study were shown as follows: First, The difference of Maximal and minimal heart rate was significant between ER group and general ward group. However, body temperature difference wasn't notable. Second, Urine $Na^+$ concentration on urinalysis was lower and $K^+$ concentration on urinalysis was higher in ER group than general ward group significantly. Third, Fatigue level was higher in ER group than general ward group significantly. Fourth, through urine concentration, significant relations in circadian rhythm of ER nurse group and general ward group and their fatigue level were found. Urine $Na^+$ concentration on urinalysis of ER nurse was significant related with their fatigue level. In conclusion, the effect of fatigue on circadian rhythm is greater in ER group than general ward group during night shift. This study could be a help in improvement of nurse's health and understanding the effect of fatigue on health.
In this study, 594 questionnaires administered to men and women residing in the capital metropolitan area who work night shifts were analyzed in order to study the effect of health information cognition on healing needs in accordance with the type of food selection criteria of the night worker. The results of confirmatory factor analysis in deriving food selection type identified four categories, a safety seeking type, a food exploratory type, a habitual seeking type, and a rational type, and the cognition types on health information were classified into physical cognition and psychological cognition. The need for healing, which was the investigated factor, was found to have a high correlation between questionnaire items with high reliable consistency. The results of this study were as follows. First, the food selection types of safety seeking type and habitual food seeking type had significant positive effects on the cognitive level of physical health information, and food exploratory type and habitual seeking type had significant positive effects on the cognitive level of psychological health information. In addition, it was shown that food exploratory type and rational type had significant positive effects on healing needs. As a result of this study, it was found that the cognition level of physical and psychological information was different according to food selection type, and the higher the cognitive level, the higher the healing needs. In particular, the result that the level of psychological health information significantly affected healing needs signifies that there is a demand to develop programs and menus that satisfy various needs related to healing and recovery from fatigue. In addition, further interest and study on the health and healing of night workers are required.

This paper proposes a Carrier-Rotation (CR) PWM technique that is a new solution for the voltage unbalancing problem of flying capacitors in the Flying Capacitor Multi-level Inverter (FCMI). The proposed technique equalizes the utilization of phase leg voltage redundancies corresponding to the charging and the discharging state of individual flying capacitors during each switching period of all the switches. Therefore, the charging and the discharging quantity of flying capacitors are equal, which makes the average variation of flying capacitor voltages become zero and keeps their voltage stable during minimum specified period. It also has the reduced harmonic contents of output voltage and the same switch utilization since all the carrier signals are in phase and the switching frequency of each switch is identical. The proposed technique is analyzed precisely in flying capacitor 3-level inverter and then it has expanded to the FCMI (N-level, N>3). Experimental results on the laboratory prototype flying capacitor 3-level inverter confirm the validity of the proposed technique.

Security of chaos communication system that has characteristic of sensitive initial conditions is superior to digital communication systems, but BER(Bit Error Rate) performance is evaluatied badly. So, studies in order to improve the BER performance is important. existing studies, BER performance of proposed chaos transceiver is possible to improve than the CDSK(Correlation Delay Shift Keying) system because it has characteristic that has very few addition elements like noise signal except for the desired signal. Chaos communication system has many symbols because it spreads according to characteristic of chaos map. Therefore, study that can have the good data rate in chaos communication system is required. Information bits of existing chaos modulation system are modulated as -1 and 1 on the basis of BPSK system. However, instead of BPSK system, if chaos communication system is applied high level modulation systems such as QPSK system and 16QAM system, it is possible to have good data rate because more data are transmitted at a time. In the paper, when QPSK system and 16QAM system are applied to proposed chaos transceiver in existing study, we evaluate the SER(Symbol Error Rate) performance and compare the each performance. Also, when QPSK system and 16QAM system are applied to proposed chaos transceiver, we evaluate the anti-jamming performance of proposed system.
As a travel demand management and environmental policy, the government actively promotes alternative work arrangements such as telecommuting. Against this backdrop, several empirical studies, which aim to verify the benefits of telecommuting, have been recently conducted. Little consensus, however, exists with respect to the defining, measuring, and forecasting telecommuting, although these are fundamental basis of policy evaluation and academic research. As a fundamental research for analyzing telecommuting impacts, this paper reviews various definitions regarding telecommuting, examines telecommuting penetration and level of telecommuting through review of available survey data in Korea, and forecasts future penetration. The result suggests that current home-based telecommuting penetration and level of telecommuting is approximately 0.5 to 1.1% and 0.2 to 0.5%, respectively, and is approximately 0.2% and 0.1%, respectively, for the center-based telecommuting. In addition, shift-share analysis shows that home-based telecommuting penetration in the Seoul Metropolitan Area in 2020 will be 1.3%, not much different with the current value. Consequently, current telecommuting penetration is much lower than the value that is fed to us by the media (10~20%), and the future prospect is also much lower than the goal of government (30~45%); thus, we can conclude that government's goal of telecommuting promotion is difficult to meet if active encouragement policy will not be introduced.
The purpose of this study is to devise successful strategies for launching of new brands in franchise companies based on cases of 'Gamarogangjung' of Masedarin Inc. The results of case analysis shaw following successful strategies. First, Masedarin Inc. has used its core competence; Masedarin Inc., which managed chicken franchises for many years, launched the new brand, 'Gamarogangjung' based on its differentiated technologies and infrastructure. Second, the brand, 'Gamarogangjung' has used market oriented strategy actively; the brand has reflected customers' needs to its adminstration immediately by understanding and sharing of customers' needs at the corporate level. Third, Masedarin Inc. has differentiated a business model from other companies; by using 'take out' purchasing system instead of 'delivery to doors' or 'purchasing by visiting', the company has saved huge management cost. Fourth, Masedarin Inc. developed a new kind of business which is differentiated from existing chicken franchise brands or take-out restaurants. Fifth, Masedarin Inc. has appealed its sincerity to franchisees; its business information session, which explains about the business openly without exaggeration, has drawn a high rate of franchise agreement. Sixth, Masedarin Inc. changed its way of thinking about conditions of a location for member stores. The company has selected 'A' level locations for their member stores which enables 'quick sales at small profits' while other take-out stores are usually located at 'B' level location. Lastly, Masedarin Inc. has given thorough instructions to the staff of member stores. And immediately after opening of the stores, franchisees were able to operate the stores comfortably because the company educated the staff repeatedly over a long period to make them master skills before the opening of the store.

This paper presents low-power asynchronous barrel shifters for variable length encoders and decoders useful in portable applications using multimedia standards. Our approach is to create multi-level asynchronous barrel shifters optimized for the skewed shift control statistics often found in these codecs. For common shifts, data passes through one level, whereas for rare shifts, data passes though multiple levels. We compare our optimized designs with the straightforward asynchronous and synchronous designs. Both pre- and Post-layout HSPICE simulation results indicate that, compared to their synchronous counterparts, our designs provide over a 40% savings in average energy consumption for a given average performance.
