For hydrologic applications, lake levels is very important. As a first step in developing a remote-sensing based approach, lake stage estimation using remote sensing was proposed with the SRTM data from February 2000, which was providing a one-time snapshot. After several steps using contouring, masking, and CED, it was found that iterative contour fitting to a lake outline provided the outstanding result with the operator's decision. If the lake size is large enough, a constant meter of the difference removal due to bias found by Bhang et al. (2007) might be useful for more accurate estimations for the methods. A lake-level snapshot using SRTM data could provide estimates within 0.5 m level of accuracy for large lakes (> $10km^2$) with contouring. Also, even if the processing algorithm is complex, the accuracy was reliable. Overall, we confirmed that this study would provide useful information to ameliorate the quality of the SAR-derived DEMs specifically for water areas and if more expanded, SAR images can fruit result in water monitoring.
This paper proposes a more accurate task level energy measurement technique for high speed microprocessors. The technique is based on the relationship of the amount of current consumed by the microprocessor and the pulse width of the power supply controller chip, employed in the synchronous buck DC-DC converter in the microprocessor's power supply. The accuracy of the measurement is accomplished by measuring variation in pulse width in each power supply cycle. The major advantage of this technique is that its accuracy does not depend on the operating frequency of the microprocessor. To prove the proposed technique, we implemented the measurement unit of the microprocessor energy meter using an FPGA chip operating at 50 MHz. Both static and dynamic load measurement are tested in order to obtain some behaviours. Moreover, various commercially available mainboards which employ synchronous buck regulators at 200 KHz switching frequency, were measured. The results agree with previous works with better accuracy at higher operating frequency.

One of the important applications of activity sensing in the home is energy monitoring. Many previous methodologies for detecting and recognizing household appliances have been proposed. This paper presents an approach that uses an energy metering circuit (EMC) to classify and identify the various electrical devices in home based on root-mean-square (RMS) consumed current value. EMC gathers the RMS current values created by appliance state transition (e.g., on to off) and apparatus operating process. In this paper, an identification algorithm is proposed to detect a change in current levels using the standard deviation of current signals and their average values. In addition, characteristic of the appliance is extracted concerning four feature parameters concerning the number of current levels, the minimum level, the maximum level, and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of them. Experiment results validate the reliable performance of the proposed identification method for 11 representative appliances.
New S-shaped aeroelastic mesoflaps are utilized to control normal shock/boundary-layer interactions. New generation of the mesoflaps is designed f3r a better rigidness and a good flow uniformity across the ulteractions. ,Major advantages of the mesoflap system can be a better total pressure recovery downstream of the interactions due to the lambda shock structure over the flap system, and a rehabilitation of the thickened boundary layer due to bleeding through a cavity underneath the flap system. Skin friction has been measured downstream of the interactions, using the laser interferometer skin friction (LISF) meter, which optically detects the rate of thinning of an oil film applied to the test surface. Various flap-thicknesses of the S-shaped mesoflap arrays are tested, and the results are compared to the solid-wall reference case. Overall, not much difference in the level of skin friction is noticed for the S-shaped flap arrays of various thicknesses, and its level is lower than the skin friction downstream of the solid-wall interaction

SMD Equipment convey an electronic parts at high speed, then assemble parts into a circuit board, and it develop a long time-duration dynamic force to be caused by moving mass. Vibration problem to be caused by SMD Equipment have an effect on micro-meter level's precision production process, directly, and dynamic stability of building. In the cause of quantitatively access about its vibration problem, input information(or data) of structure dynamic analysis need accuracy information of dynamic load. Determination of Dynamic load is various kinds of method using experimental and theory. In this paper, we got dynamic load using direct measurement method. We expect that an study on the dynamic load characteristic of SMD can be used to Equipment development of low level vibration and basis information of structure dynamic analysis.
The types of eletric detonators manufactured in korea include instantaneous, decisecond and millisecond delays but number of delay intervals are only limited from No. 1 to No. 20 respectively. It is not sufficient to control accurately millisecond time with these detonators in large surface blasting. But nonelectric system detonators with an unlimited delay time are recently obtained. In this paper the effect of delay time of nonelectric detonator on the level of vibration in surface blasting was studied. A total of 169 data were recorded in the studied area. Blast point-to-measuring point distances ranged from 25 to 100 meter, where charge weight was 1.26 kg per delay.

The noise and vibration diagnostic of the industrial robot reducer is ultimately the purpose. We evaluated a noise and vibration tendency of the industrial robot reducer to be made in the outside (RV reducer) through the experiment. Also, we compared the RV reducer to the industrial robot reducer (RD reducer) in the domestic. We measured the noise level with the sound level meter and analyzed the vibration tendency with the waterfall plot. Through the comparison of RV reducer and RD reducer diagnose the industrial robot reducer. We guessed the improvement direction of RD reducer. (The domestic's industrial robot reducer).

The purpose of this study is to understand the quantitative change of water resources using RMS(Remote Monitoring System) which takes real time data with high reliability. Also, the characteristic of stormwater runoff was understood by the application of the above system for three streams (Jiam, Yulmun, and Gongji stream) in Chuncheon City. The detailed results of these studies are as follows; RMS(Remote Monitoring System) was constructed by the combination of the automatic water-level meter, which measures water-level of streams at all times, and the wireless communication system sending real-time data from the meter. This system is used to evaluate the stormwater runoff in watersheds and the quantitative changes of streams. It is possible to overcome the limit of field investigations needed, which takes a lot of manpower and time, and it is very efficient to provide the reliable flowrate data. Also, it can be applied to the disaster prevention system for flood because the change of flowrate in stream is monitored at real-time. For 3 streams with different watershed characteristics, correlation equations induced from the relation analysis results. In terms of the relation between water-level and flowrate, flowrate was increased rapidly as the water-level rises in case of small watershed and steep slope. The application results of the proposed system for 3 streams (Jiam, Yulmun, Gongji) in Chuncheon city are as follows; The remote monitoring system was very useful for acquisition of the flow rate in stream that are basic data to understand pollutants runoff in watershed. In case of no-rainy day, the runoff ratio for pollutant loading rate was the highest level in Yulmun stream(BOD:2.3%, TN:20.2%, TP:1.2%). So, it shows the management of pollution source is needed such as rehabilitation of sewer line. Runoff ratio of total phosphorus by rainfall in Gongji watershed was increased about 19 times than no-rainy day, which is estimated as the influence of sewer overflow.

When fisherman use the boat seine net to catch anchovy, a large noise (drum can, small drum and small gong) is used to scare the anchovy school along the wing nets, and into the bag net were they are caught. We want to know how much of an effect these s:mnds have on forceing the anchovy school towards the bag net. The underwater sounds of ancho\'y, drum can, small drum and small gong were analyzed in the labroatory. The behavioral responeses to the playback sounds of anchovy feeding and sounds of artificial instruments were also investigated. The feeding and artificial sounds of the samples were recorded by a tape recorder through a hydrophone in an anechoic aquarium. The sound intensity level was measured by means of a sound level meter in an anechoic chamber. The frequency and intensity of various sounds were analyzed with an analyzing system consisting of a ~-octave filter set, a high speed level recorder, an amplifier and an oscilloscope. The most successful recording was edited into a 9 to 10 second sound track and was repeated in a sequence of 9 to 10 second intervals. The sequence was then reproduced into an anechoic aquarium through the underwater speaker. The results of investigation are as follows; 1. The frequency of the feeding sound was 63~80Hz, and the pressure level produced was less than 32db. 2. The frequencies of the artificial sounds were 315~ 1,OOOHz, and the pressure levels were 88~95 db in the air. 3. When a hydrophone was placed 70cm below the surface with artificial sounds (drum can, small drum and small gong) produced 1 meter above the surface, the pressure level decreased about 30db. 4. The feeding sound was ineffective in attracting the anchovy, because of interference from ambient noise. 5. The artificial sounds had such a small effect on the anchovy's that they could not be used in ocean fisheries.
This study aimed at simulating several responses to stresses caused by the ground water level variations around the K-1 oil stockpile. For this simulation, we considered the characteristic hydrogeological condition including the special occurrence of long and thick acidic dyke, which is regarded as the main geological structure dominating the ground water flow system at this study area. We activated twenty-four imaginary wells which are located in northern and southern area around central K-1 site. Each neighboring distance is altogether 300 m and whole distance between K-1 site and remote wells is 1,200 m. Through the modeling, we operated the long-term and continuous pumping tests and finally categorized five zones based on maximum pumping rates for the imaginary wells; zone I within 300 meter distance from K-1 site with a pumping rate of 50 $m^3/day$; zone II between 300 to 600 meter distance from K-1 site with a pumping rate of 75 $m^3/day$; zone III between 600 to 900 meter distance from K-1 site with 150 $m^3/day$; zone IV between 900 to 1,200 meter distance from K-1 site with 300 $m^3/day$; and zone V of acidic dyke area. At zone V, especially because of their possibility of high transmissivity for groundwater flow, it is necessary to control and restrict groundwater discharge.
