  • We studied about conductive pastes of the source-drain contacts for OTFTs(organic thin-film transistors) fabricated by direct printing(screen printing) method. We used Ag and conductive carbon black powder as the conductive fillers of pastes. The conductive pastes were manufactured by various dispersing agents and dispersing conditions and source-drain contacts with $100{\mu}m$ of channel length were fabricated. We could obtain the OTFTs which exhibited different field-effect behaviors over a range of source-dram and gate voltages depending on a kind of conductive fillers used conductive pastes.

  • A new eddy viscosity equation was formulated from assumption of turbulence length scale equation and specific dissipation ratio equation. Then, a set of turbulence model equations for the turbulent kinetic energy ${\kappa}$, the viscosity ${\nu}_t$, and the intermittency factor ${\gamma}$ is proposed by considering the entrainment effect. Closure coefficients are determined by experimental data and resorting to numerical optimization. Present model has been applied to compute four representative cases of free shear flows and successfully compared with experimental data. In particular, the spreading rate, the centreline mean velocity and the profiles of intermittency are calculated with improved accuracy. Also, the proposed ${\nu}_t-{\kappa}-{\gamma}$ model was applied to channel flow by considering the wall effect and the results show good agreements with the Direct Numerical Simulation data.

  • Fabrication of inverted staggered power TFT devices and electrical characteristic were investigated. 16 fingers with drain and source electrode of TFT and 100V output voltage were designed successfully. It is observed that as $V_g$ increased, $I_d$ increase exponentially. Because of localized deep states of a-Si, $I_d$ shows irregular variation at low voltage. Output and transfer characteristic showed the same as typical variation. But electrical characteristic strongly depend on the channel length and thickness of silicon nitride and amorphous silicon.

  • We propose a new encoder/decoders based on an tune able wavelength converter(TWC) and an arrayed waveguide grating(AWG) router for large capacity optical CDMA networks. The proposed encoder/decoder treats codewords of wavelength/time 2-D code simultaneously using the dynamic code allocation property of the TWC and the cyclic property of the AWG router, and multiple subscribers can share the encoder/decoder in networks. Feasibility of the structure of the proposed encoder/decoder for dynamic code allocation is tested through simulations using two wavelength/time 2-D codes, which are the generalized multi-wavelength prime code(GMWPC) and the generalized multi-wavelength Reed-Solomon code(GMWRSC). Test results show that the proposed encoder/decoder can increase the channel efficiency not only by increasing the number of simultaneous users without any multiple-access interference but by using a relatively short length CDMA codes.

  • This paper provides an approach for representing an optimum vector quantizer by a scalar nonlinear gain-plus-additive noise model. The validity and accuracy of this analytic model is confirmed by comparing the calcuated model quantization errors with actual simulation of the optimum Linde-Buzo-Gray(LBG) vector quantizer. Using this model we frm MSE measure of an M-band filter bank codec in terms of the equivalent scalar quantizatin model and find the optimum FIR filter coefficients for each channel in the M-band structure for a given bit rate, given filter length, and given input signal correlation model. Specific design examples are worked out for 4-tap filters in the two-band paraunitary case. These theoretical results are confirmed by extensive Monte Carlo simulation.

  • A two-dimensional backward facing step flow was comptuted using a Detached Eddy simulation(DES) based on the SST turbulence model. The expansion ratio(ER) was 1.125 and the Reynolds number based on the step height and the mean velocity in the upstream channel was 37,500. The flow condition was the same as with the experimental research[1]. The reattachment length, oscillatory characteristics of the flow and the coherent structures of the present simulation were compared to demonstrate the improtance of spanwise grid spacing.

  • Single phase pressure drops in micro tubes were investigated through an experimental measurement and a numerical simulation. Experimental Po was obtained in circular micro tubes with 87 and $118{\mu}m$ diameter with distilled water. Experiments were carried out in laminar flow region with varying the Re 15-450 for the $87{\mu}m$ diameter tubes and 60-1300 for the $118{\mu}m$ diameter tube. No early transition from laminar to turbulent flow was detected for the experimental range. The computational estimation of pressure drop in the $87{\mu}m$ diameter tube was performed with the aid of CFD software. Boundary conditions from experiments were used for the numerical simulation. The results of experimental and numerical studies showed a good agreement with the conventional macro theory.

  • a-Si : H TFTs for image sensor have been fabricated and their operational characteristics have been investigated. Hydrogenated amorphous silicon nitride(a-SiN : H) films were used for the gate insulator and $n^{+}$-a-Si : H films were depostied for the source and drain contact. The thicknesses of a-SiN : H and a-Si : H films were $2000{\AA}$, respectively and the thickness of $n^{+}$-a-Si : H film was $500{\AA}$. Also the channel length and channel width of a-Si : H TFTs were $50{\mu}m$ and $1000{\mu}m$, respectively. The ON/OFF current ratio, threshold voltage, and field effect mobility of fabricated a-Si : H TFTs were $10^{5}$, 6.3 V, and $0.15cm^{2}/V{\cdot}s$, respectively.

  • The basic objective of broadcast scheduling is to get the smallest length TDMA frame, where many nodes are allowed to transmit simultaneously in a single time slot in a conflict-free manner. The secondary objective is to maximize the number of such transmissions for maximum use of the channel. An Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) with ranking strategy is proposed in this paper for the broadcast scheduling problem. Our proposed method is very efficient for generating initial and neighbor feasible solutions. We can get the best number of time slots and transmission utilization comparing to previous researches.
