공공도서관 전자책 서비스의 쟁점과 대응 방안 (E-book Lending Service in Public Libraries: Issues and Possible Countermeasures)

  • 본 연구는 공공도서관에서의 전자책 서비스에 있어 주요 쟁점 사항을 도출하고 이에 대한 대응 방안을 제시함으로써, 향후 도서관의 시각을 반영한 전자책 서비스 운영의 토대를 마련하는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위하여 본 연구는 도서관계와 출판계를 중심으로 공공도서관의 현행 전자책 대출 서비스에 관한 상반된 시각과 주요 문제점을 파악하였다. 또한 공공도서관 전자책 대출에 관해 발표된 5종의 원칙을 내용적으로 범주화하여 도서관계의 공공도서관 전자책 대출의 핵심 원칙 7개를 도출하였다. 이러한 원칙을 대상으로 출판계가 제기하는 주요한 문제점과 국내외의 주요 대응 방식의 사례를 대응시켜 현안별로 대립되고 있는 양상과 그 내용을 분석하였다. 마지막으로 주요 쟁점 사안별로 공공도서관의 공공성 증진이라는 사명의 측면과 도서관 전자책 대출 모델 개발에 관한 측면, 법적 제도 마련의 측면 등에서 향후 도서관계의 대응 방안을 논하였다.

준지도학습 기반의 P2P 대출 부도 위험 예측에 대한 연구 (Semi-Supervised Learning to Predict Default Risk for P2P Lending)

  • 본 연구는 P2P(Peer-to-Peer) 대출의 부도위험 예측을 위하여 준지도학습(SSL) 기반의 모델을 개발하고자 한다. 검증된 성능에도 불구하고 지도학습(SL) 방법은 완전 지불 또는 채무불이행과 같이 레이블이 결정된 다수의 데이터가 필요한데 충분한 수의 레이블 데이터를 수집하려면 많은 자원과 시간이 필요하다. P2P 플랫폼이 급성장하면서 대출 건수도 매해 급증하였고, 레이블이 없는 데이터도 지속적으로 증가하고 있다. 본 연구는 P2P 대출 플랫폼인 LendingClub에서 수집한 데이터를 사용하였다. P2P 대출 중 레이블이 결정된 대출에서 추출한 정보뿐만 아니라 레이블이 결정되지 않은 대출에서 추출한 정보도 사용하여 부도 위험을 예측하는 SSL 모델을 개발하여 연구를 수행한 결과, 적은 수의 레이블이 결정된 데이터를 사용함에도 불구하고 SSL 방법으로 구축된 모델이 많은 수의 레이블이 결정된 데이터를 사용하여 학습시킨 SL 방법으로 구축된 모델보다 부도 위험 예측성과가 향상되었다.

Determinants of Access to Green Finance in Vietnam: An Empirical Research

  • Green finance plays an important role in environmental protection missions and fighting climate change. The Environment Fund in Vietnam is the main channel of preferential capital offered to firms for environmental protection. Unfortunately, it was previously unknown which criteria influenced these companies' ability to obtain green financing. Using a survey method, we collected data through a structured questionnaire of 203 respondents that represent firms that had received concessional loans from 26 Environment Funds. A Multiple Linear Regression model was used to examine the determinants of access to concessional loans for environmental protection. We found relationships between age, size, ownership type, and industry sector, and access to green finance. Third-party guarantees were a significant factor in financing through Environment Funds. Moreover, we found commercial environmental projects face fewer green financing obstacles. Surprisingly, showing audited financial statements does not mitigate the information asymmetry between firms and these financial institutions. These findings suggest that Environment Funds should classify environmental project types to develop appropriate lending policies. In emerging markets, enterprises need to build a trusted relationship with financial institutions so that they can replace asset-based lending techniques, thereby increasing the firms' accessibility to green finance.

Determinants of the Demand for Credit Facilities: Evidence from the Banking Sector in Jordan for the Period 2012-2021

  • The study aimed to study the effect of the inflation rate, the real domestic product, the interbank lending interest rate, and the total deposits on credit facilities in Jordan for 2012-2021 through quarterly data. The study adopted the ARDL model. The study used the time series analysis method, as the study tests the stationarity of the time series. The results showed that the impact of inflation on the total credit facilities was negative. In contrast, the impact of each of the total deposits, real GDP, and the interest rate of interbank loans on the total credit facilities was positive and significant. The study recommended the need for the banking sector in Jordan to develop risk management mechanisms in a way that allows it to adapt to economic cycles and crises by conducting stress tests and developing scenarios that ensure the formation of sufficient provisions to meet emergencies. The study also recommended that the macroeconomic policy should be based on creating a stable macroeconomic environment that allows the efficient employment of resources in all economic sectors in a way that achieves high economic growth rates, which contributes to the promotion of economic recovery and is reflected in income. Hence, individuals have a greater ability to repay loans.

시계열 분석 모형을 이용한 전세시장 변동에 따른 전세보증대출 영향 요인에 관한 연구 (The Effect Factors affecting Lease Guaranteed Loan on Lease Market Fluctuation by Time Series Analysis Model)

  • 본 연구는 최근 급격하게 상승하는 전세가격에 의해 한국시장에 존재하는 독특한 주거형태인 전세의 사용가치와 서민 주거안정에 대한 심각한 사회 문제가 대두됨에 따라 주거부담 완화를 위한 금융 정책 수립의 올바른 방향을 모색하기 위해 전세보증대출에 영향을 미치는 직접적 요인과 시장 변동성에 대해 분석하고자 했다. 이에 전세가격, 매매가격, 대출금리 등과 같은 전세보증대출 수요에 영향을 미치는 직접적인 관련 변수를 정의하고, 분석 데이터들의 동태적인 설명을 위해 시계열 분석 모형인 벡터오차수정모형(Vector Error Correction Model, VECM)을 이용하였다. 2010년 1월부터 2014년 12월까지의 전세가격과 대출에 관한 은행 자료들을 활용하여 분석한 결과, 전세가격의 상승은 대출금리 인하나 주택 매매가격 상승보다 전세보증대출 증가의 직접적인 요인으로 작용하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

Judgment Gap Analysis between Service Provider and Consumer for Service Design

  • Objective: The aim of this paper is to introduce a method that can measure and analyze the judgment gaps between service providers and customers. Background: It is important to understand the good service that service providers and customers are thinking. If there is judgment gap between service providers and customers, it would cause an unsatisfactory service. The judgment gap should be thoroughly investigated for a good service design. Method: Lens model is a human decision making model that was proposed by Brunswick(1952). This study indicates whether the Lens model can be applied to analyze judgment gaps between service providers and customers. As a case study, a library lending service was selected. 5 librarians and 15 customers participated in the experiment that investigates their judgments on a good service. The obtained data were analyzed by a modified lens model. Results: Cue weighting policies of consumers and service providers were similar, except that consumers gave higher weight on tangibility than service providers. Service providers and consumers had a good knowledge on the service quality, but they could not well apply the knowledge to judge it. Conclusion: The lens model may be used to analyze judgment gaps between service providers and consumers in the other service areas. The decision cues that were used in this study can be changed, depending on the characteristics of the target service. Application: The method that is proposed in this study may help to investigate and analyze both consumers' and service providers' judgments on a variety of services.

  • 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 기술이 인터넷 기반의 IT 패러다임을 견인할 차세대 IT 발전의 주요 패러다임으로 자리매김함에 따라 세계 각국에서 유비쿼터스 기술에 대한 연구 개발이 활발히 진행 중이다. 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅의 핵심 기술 중 하나가 RFID이다. 본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 환경에 적합한 u-비즈니스 모델에 대한 수요가 증가하고 있는 이 시점에, RFID를 이용한 새로운 비즈니스 아이템으로 자산관리 시스템을 설계하고 구현한다. 기업이나 학교에는 많은 자산이 존재하고, 많은 사용자들이 자산을 공유해서 사용하고 있다. 그리고 자산의 위치와 사용 현황 등과 같은 자산에 대한 효율적인 관리가 많이 요구되고 있다. 제안하는 시스템은 자산에 해당하는 모든 물품에 RFID 태그를 부착하고 웹 기반의 자산관리 시스템을 통해 자산 사용 경로에 대한 모니터링 기능과 자산 및 사용자에 대한 자동화된 관리 및 대여, 반납 서비스 기능 제공한다.

Bass 확산모형을 활용한 국내 주택연금의 중·장기 수요예측 (Long-Term Projection of Demand for Reverse Mortgage Using the Bass Diffusion Model in Korea)

  • Korea is expected to become a super-aged society by 2050. Given an aging population and the increasing pressure for the early retirement, a sufficient social safety net for elderly population becomes important. The Korean government introduced public reverse mortgage program in 2007, which is a product for aging seniors and the elderly, The number of reverse mortgage subscribers has also steadily grown. The demand continues to grow, but the reverse mortgage over a long period of time is a highly uncertain and risky product in the position of guarantee or lending institution. Thus, suitable demand prediction of the reverse mortgage subscribers is necessary for stable and sustainable operation. This study uses a Bass diffusion model to forecast the long-term demand for reverse mortgage and provides insight into reverse mortgage by forecasting demand for stability and substantiality of the loan product. We represent the projections of new subscribers on the basis of the data obtained from Korea Housing Finance Corporation. Results show that potential market size of Korean reverse mortgage reaches approximately 760,000-1,160,000 households by 2020. We validate the results by comparing the estimate of the cumulative number of subscribers with that found in literature.

부동산 크라우드펀딩의 이용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Factors Affecting the Intention to Use of Real Estate Crowdfunding)

  • This study analyzes the characteristics of lending-based crowdfunding of various crowdfunding models, identifies the factors affecting the use of the general public, and provides suggestions for the policies set by real estate crowdfunding businesses and related authorities. To analyze the service's adoption from a cognitive perspective, this study developed a new model that combined the Value-based Adoption Model (VAM), motivation theory, and a set of variables that take into account the characteristics of the real estate industry. For empirical analysis, survey was conducted from the general investors of real estate and valid 252 data were utilized by R 3.2.2. The results of this study showed that both government regulation and the perceived risk are hindering the perceived values and intention to use crowdfunding for real estate. In contrast, this research found that among the intrinsic motivation, enjoyment had a significant impact on the perceived value. In addition, it turned out that among the extrinsic motivation, market attractiveness, brand credibility, expected return, and safety and protection had significant impacts on the perceived value. Finally, it showed the perceived value of real estate crowdfunding had a positive impact on the intention to use.

The Determinants of Listed Commercial Banks' Profitability in Vietnam

  • The study investigates the factors affecting the profitability of listed commercial banks in Vietnam. Survey data for this research were collected from 10 Vietnamese listed commercial banks for the period from 2008 to 2018. In the study, we have built a model of econometric regression with the dependent variable being listed commercial banks' profitability results measured through ROA. The research methods used include descriptive statistics, IV regression and OLS regression analysis, and the authors carried out the model verification with Stata 14 software. The results showed that operating efficiency, loans size, retail loans ratio, state ownership, inflation rate, and GDP growth are factors that have a positive impact on profitability On the other hand, variables such as capital size, credit risk, liquidity risk, bank size, and revenue diversification are statistically insignificant; hence, these variables are not statistically adequate to indicate the influence of those independent variables to banks' profitability. The findings of this study suggest that the quality of assets should be considered in the context that bad debt risks come from lending heavily to the real estate sector. Meeting Basel II's capital compliance requirements is relatively difficult for small listed commercial banks compared to bigger listed commercial banks in Vietnam.
