  • The classical way to improve the control performance is studied on the aspects of gun/turret deive systens. Two ways are discussed comparadively ; electrical case and electro-hydraulic case. System parameters are analytically studied in terms of resonance frequencies, and damping and gear train ratio effects are checked in relation to resonance frequency increase. Benefit of the feedback is discussed to increase the damping of the natural frequency lending to bandwidth increase.

  • As ubiquitous computing technologies become the important paradigm for replacing internet based IT paradigm and developing the next generation IT, the research and development on the ubiquitous technologies are progressed actively. One of the core technologies for ubiquitous computing is RFID. In this paper, we design and implement the property management system as a new business item using the RFID since the demands for the u-business model that considers the ubiquitous environment are being grown. There are many properties in the organizations such as companies, schools and so on. Many users share these properties. Thus, these fields require efficient management systems for monitoring a variety of information such as the locations and the detailed information of the properties for the monitoring and lending services. We attach RFID tags to every property and monitor their information with our web-based management system. Our management system provides the monitoring service and the lending service for properties and users.

Spatial Distribution Characteristics of Financial Industries and the Relationships with Socio-economic Variables: The case of the Seoul Metropolitan Area (금융산업의 분포특성 및 사회.경제적 변수와의 관계 분석: 수도권 지역을 사례로)

  • This study examines the spatial distribution characteristics of financial industry which has been a necessary service for contemporary urban life. In particular, we analyze the spatial distribution patterns of money lending business which is considered with informal financial services as well as the spatial distribution patterns of banks which are representative of the institutional financial services. For the purpose, their density distribution patterns are explored by Kernel density analysis for both financial services in first. Moran's I coefficients are estimated for these two financial services to clarify the distintion in their geographical concentration patterns. The results of spatial autocorrelation analysis show stark differences between the center city and outskirts of the Seoul metropolitan area. Multivariate regression models are developed to explain the relationships between the spatial distributions of financial services and geographical variables. Finally, we discuss financial exclusion problem in the Metropolitan Seoul based on these spatial distribution characteristics.

  • With the rapid increase in the price of house lease, a unique housing form in Korea, a serious social issue has been raised as to the use value of house lease and residence stability of the ordinary people. This study thus aimed to analyze the direct factors that affect lease guaranteed loan and market volatility in order to explore the right direction of financial policy to reduce housing burdens. To this end, the direct variables affecting house lease guaranteed loan, including lease price, transaction price and lending rate, were defined. Vector Error Correction Model (VECM), a time series analysis, was employed to dynamically explain the data. Based on the house lease prices and bank data on loans between January 2010 and December 2014, it was found that the increase in lease price was the direct result of the increase in lease guaranteed loan, not that of the decrease in lending rate or increase in housing transaction price.

  • This paper aims to examine into the public document management regulations of Gungnaebu(宮內府) at the last period of Daehan(大韓) Empire. Gungnaebu(宮內府), newly established as a political consequence of Gabo(甲午) Reform, had managed the affairs of Royal Court all through several political changes. Many of the main contents of public document management regulations were established after 1907. These regulations and methods have a significant meaning in that they have great affect on the prototype of today's public document management. Moreover, such regulations include the departments in charge of public document management, procedures for official documents handling, provisions on compilation and preservation, the formulation of records compilation classified table and provisions on records list and lending, in detail. They suggest us many points because they are the matrix of the methods of records and archives management which had been applied through Joseon(朝鮮) colonial government, even after the foundation of Republic of Korea.

Significance of Regional Loan-to-Deposit Ratio and Local Bank under Endogenous Monetary Theory (내생화폐론으로 본 지역예대율과 지방은행의 의의)

  • The purpose of this study is to reveal the significance of regional loan-to-deposit ratio and local banks through Post-Keynesian endogenous monetary theory. According to endogenous monetary theory, banks, rather than financial intermediaries, are credit creation agencies that create deposit money through loans. On the other hand, according to the existing view which interprets bank as a financial intermediary, it is seen that the higher the loan-to-deposit ratio of the deposit bank in a region, the more active the lending activity based on the deposit inflow. However, according to the endogenous monetary theory, the loan-to-deposit rate is reinterpreted as an indicator of regional balance. Especially, relatively high lending-to-deposit rate of a region is interpreted as follows: money circulation in the region is shrinking due to the outflow of deposits created through loans in the region. In addition, when considering the local based financial practices of local banks, their ability to create credit, and their impact on the real economy, it is necessary to positively review the local bank restructuring policy from the perspective of balanced regional development.

Research on Sustainable Financial Inclusion and Social Impact : Analyzing Credit Thin Filer Data from U.S. Online Loan Platform (지속가능한 금융포용성과 소셜임팩트 증진 제언 연구: 미국 온라인 대출 플랫폼 내 중저신용자 데이터를 중심으로)

  • This study analyses customer data from a US online lending platform to empirically document the discriminatory treatment that low- and middle-income borrowers face in financial markets. Researchers are using financial data from nearly 2.93 million loans between 2007~2020 of the Lending Club on the open-source Kaggle platform. We find that thin-filers borrowers, especially those with lower credit scores, receive loans at higher interest rates. This discriminatory treatment undermines financial inclusion and has the potential to increase social inequality. The significance of this research is that it sheds substantial light on the problem of inequality in financial markets and, based on the findings, suggests concrete measures to ensure equitable access to finance for all customers and enhance sustainable financial inclusion. In doing so, we propose a shift towards enhancing the social responsibility of institutions.

Chemical Constituents of Plants from the Genus Patrinia

  • The genus Patrinia, belonging to the Valerianaceae family, includes ca. 20 species of herbaceous plants with yellow or white flowers, distributed in Korea, China, Siberia, and Japan. Among them, P. scabiosaefolia (yellow Patrinia), P. saniculaefolia, P. villosa (white Patrinia), and P. rupestris are found in Korea. Several members of this genus have long been used in folk medicine for the treatment of inflammation, wound healing, ascetics, and abdominal pain after childbirth. Thus far, ca. 217 constituents, namely flavonoids, iridoids, triterpenes, saponins, and others have been identified in this genus. Crude extract and isolated compounds have been found to exhibit anticancer, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antifungal, antibacterial, cytotoxic activities, lending support to the rationale behind several of its traditional uses. The present review compiles information concerning the phytochemistry and biological activities of Patrinia, with particular emphasis on P. villosa, as studied by our research group.

  • This system can perform efficient administration in a searching, lending and returning books. And also with this system, many styles of reading education is possible by considering properties of Elementary School. Using the system teachers and students can exchange a information about books or reading together. We organized the system to aid teachers in administration and assistance to students by joining the admittance of use, and to manage a library efficiently in consideration of understanding one another and several conditions in use of library. Besides, students can be appraised their reading process, so with the result that they will be a good reader.

Design of a Continuous-Time Filter Using the Modified Chebyshev Function and DDA (개선된 Chebyshev 함수와 DDA를 이용한 연속시간 필터 설계)

  • In this paper, a modified Chebyshev low-pass filter function is proposed. The modified Chebyshev filter function exhibits ripples diminishing toward .omega. = 0 in the passband. So, the modified filter function is realizable in the passive doubly-terminated ladder network for the order n even or odd, thus lending itself amenable to active RC or switched capacitor filters through the simulation techniques. Besides the passive doubly-terminated ladder realizability, lower pole-Q values of the modified function are accountable for improved phase and delay characteristics, as compared to classical function. We have designed the 6th order passive doubly-terminated network using the modified function. And then a continuous-time DDA(Differential Difference Amplifier) filter, which has no matching requirement, is realized by leap-frog simulation technique for fabrication. In the HSPICE simulation results, we confirmed that the designed continuous-time DDA filter characteristics are agreement with the passive filter.
