Metal-ferroelectric-semiconductor(MFS) capacitors by using rapid thermal annealed $LiNbO_3$/Si structures were successfully fabricated and demonstrated nonvolatile memory operations of the MFS capacitors. The C-V characteristics of MFS capacitors showed a hysteresis loop due to the ferroelectric nature of the $LiNbO_3$thin film. The dielectric constant of the $LiNbO_3$film calculated from the capacitance in the accumulation region in the capacitance-voltage(C-V) curve was about 25. The gate leakage current density of MFS capacitor using a platinum electrode showed the least value of $1{\times}10^{-8}\textrm{A/cm}^2$ order at the electric field of 500 kV/cm. The minimum interface trap density around midgap was estimated to be about $10^{11}/cm^2$.eV. The typical measured remnant polarization(2Pr) value was about 1.2 $\mu\textrm{C/cm}^2$, in an applied electric field of $\pm$ 300 kv/cm. The ferroelectric capacitors showed no polarization degradation up to about $10^{10}$ switching cycles when subjected to symmetric bipolar voltage pulse in the 500 kHz.

The BLT thin-films were one of the promising ferroelectric materials with a good leakage current and degradation behavior on Pt electrode. The BLT target was sintered at $1100^{\circ}C$ for 4 hours at the air ambient. $Bi_{3.25}La_{0.75}Ti_3O_{12}$ (BLT) thin-film deposited on $Pt/Ti/SIO_2/Si$ wafer by rf magnetron sputtering method. At annealed $700^{\circ}C$, (117) and (006) peaks appeared the high intensity. The hysteresis loop of the BLT thin films showed that the remanent polarization ($2Pr=Pr^+-Pr^-$) was $16uC/cm^2$ and leakage current density was $1.8{\times}10^{-9}A/cm^2$ at 50 kV/cm with coersive electric field when BLT thin-films were annealed at $700^{\circ}C$. Also, the thin film showed fatigue property at least up to $10^{10}$ switching bipolar pulse cycles under 7 V. Therefore, we induce access to optimum fabrication condition of memory device application by rf-magnetron sputtering method in this report.

Theophylline and $\beta$-adrenergic agonists are frequently used together in patients with respiratory diseases. However the clinical impact of $\beta_2$-adrenergic agonists on the blood concentration of theophylline is not fully evaluated. Formoterol, a newly available oral ${\beta}_2$-adrenergic agonist is frequently used in pediatric respiratory patients. The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of oral formoterol on theophylline's blood concentration. Randomized prospective study was conducted. Twenty-four children were enrolled on the study. Their age ranged 2 to 73 months (mean 35.8 months). Theophylline group (12 patients) received 10 mg/kg/day of for theophylline orally. Theophylline/formoterol group (12 patients) received 10 mg/kg/day of theophylline and $4\;{\mu}g/kg/day$ of formoterol orally. All medications were administered at least for 5 days starting on admission day. Theophylline's trough concentrations were obtained on days 3 and day 5. Pulse rates were recorded before the study medications were given on admission, and days 3 and day 5. Statistical significance was calculated by two-tailed Student's t-test. Theophylline's levels in children given theophylline and formoterol together were lower an those given theophylline alone ($6.38\pm0.90\;{\mu}g/ml\;vs\;7.43\pm0.77\;{\mu}g/ml$ on day 3(p<0.05), $5.62\pm0.56\;{\mu}g/ml\;vs.\;6.78\pm0.61\;{\mu}g/ml$ on day 5 (p<0.05)). In both groups, theophylline's trough concentration on day 5 were lower than day 3. There was no significant side effects in both groups. In conclusion, the new ${\beta}_2$ selective adrenergic agonist formoterol reduced serum theophylline levels in children with respiratory diseases. Further investigation is needed to clarify the long term effect of this drug interaction.

Automatic grease lubricator is equipment that provides adequate amount of fresh grease constantly to the shaft and the bearings of machines. It minimizes the friction heat and reduces the friction loss of machines to the least. This research is to develop automatic grease lubricator by gear driven mechanism with controlled operation time. The ultimate design of this equipment is to lubricate an adequate amount of grease by a simple switch clicking according to the advanced set cycle. The backlash of the gear was minimized to increase the output power. To increase the power of gear mechanism, the binding frequency and the thickness of the coil were changed. To control the rotating cycles of the main shaft according to its set numbers, different resistance and chips were used to design the circuit to controls electrical signals with pulse. The body of the lubricator was analyzed by stress analysis with different constructed angle. The stress analysis for differing loading pressures applied to the exterior body of grease lubricator due to the setup angle, was found that the maximum stress was distributed over the outlet part where the grease lubricator suddenly narrowed contracts. Digital mock-up was analyzed and the rapid prototyping(RP) trial products were tested with PCB circuit and grease. The evaluation of the outlet capacity for RP trial products was conducted, because the friction caused by the outlet on the wall surface was an important factor in the operation of the equipment. Finally, the finishing process was applied to decrease the roughness of the surface to a comparable level and was able to test the performance examination for the product.
Purpose: The management of metal-induced field inhomogeneities is one of the major concerns of distortion-free magnetic resonance images near metallic implants. The recently proposed method called "Slice Encoding for Metal Artifact Correction (SEMAC)" is an effective spin echo pulse sequence of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) near metallic implants. However, as SEMAC uses the noisy resolved data elements, SEMAC images can have a major problem for improving the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) without compromising the correction of metal artifacts. To address that issue, this paper presents a novel reconstruction technique for providing an improvement of the SNR in SEMAC images without sacrificing the correction of metal artifacts. Materials and Methods: Low-rank approximation in each coil image is first performed to suppress the noise in the slice direction, because the signal is highly correlated between SEMAC-encoded slices. Secondly, SEMAC images are reconstructed by the best linear unbiased estimator (BLUE), also known as Gauss-Markov or weighted least squares. Noise levels and correlation in the receiver channels are considered for the sake of SNR optimization. To this end, since distorted excitation profiles are sparse, $l_1$ minimization performs well in recovering the sparse distorted excitation profiles and the sparse modeling of our approach offers excellent correction of metal-induced distortions. Results: Three images reconstructed using SEMAC, SEMAC with the conventional two-step noise reduction, and the proposed image denoising for metal MRI exploiting sparsity and low rank approximation algorithm were compared. The proposed algorithm outperformed two methods and produced 119% SNR better than SEMAC and 89% SNR better than SEMAC with the conventional two-step noise reduction. Conclusion: We successfully demonstrated that the proposed, novel algorithm for SEMAC, if compared with conventional de-noising methods, substantially improves SNR and reduces artifacts.

The Sinusoidal Transform Coding(STC) is a vocoding scheme based on a sinusoidal model of a speech signal. The low bit-rate speech coding based on sinusoidal model is a method that models and synthesizes speech with fundamental frequency and its harmonic elements, spectral envelope and phase in the frequency region. In this paper, we propose the 2.4kbps low-rate speech coding algorithm using the sinusoidal model of a speech signal. In the proposed coder, the pitch frequency is estimated by choosing the frequency that makes least mean squared error between synthetic speech with all spectrum peaks and speech synthesized with chosen frequency and its harmonics. The spectral envelope is estimated using SEEVOC(Spectral Envelope Estimation VOCoder) algorithm and the discrete all-pole model. The phase information is obtained using the time of pitch pulse occurrence, i.e., the onset time, as well as the phase of the vocal tract system. Experimental results show that the synthetic speech preserves both the formant and phase information of the original speech very well. The performance of the coder has been evaluated in terms of the MOS test based on informal listening tests, and it achieved over the MOS score of 3.1.
Purpose: Most of the patients who underwent surgery feels variable kinds of fear or anxiety; an uncomfortable mood state that happens without specific object affects patient's satisfaction before and after the surgery. As music therapy is rather noninvasive method generally used in reducing patient's anxiety, the authors researched about the extent of anxiety with the change of vital sign before the operation while comparing with the cases of patients who took the music therapy at closed reduction under general anesthesia. Method: We divided the patients in 4 groups; A with the premedication (Midazolam, Dormicum$^{(R)}$) before the operation, B with the premedication and music therapy, C with only music therapy, D with no premedication or therapy. And we measured the vital signs after the arrival at the operation room, after induction and 20 minutes after the operation. Also we observed the changes of anxiety index with the STAI (State Trait Anxiety Inventory)-K (Korea)YZ 1 hour before and 8 hours after the surgery. Result: The group B showed the least changes in blood pressure as the group D showed the highest change. Both group C and A showed increase in blood pressure but the upswing in group A was lower than group C. At the change of pulse rate group B showed the lowest upswing also group D showing the highest. Group B showed quite a few upswing but lower than group D, but, at the same time, group A showed lower upswing when comparing two cases. After analysis of STAI-KYZ score, the anxiety relatively decreased in group B and C in comparison with group D. And the index of anxiety state of group A showed just as much to group D. Conclusion: The music therapy is better healthcare method compared to other therapies in reducing anxiety also with satisfying effect who underwent operation. The authors recommend music therapy assisted with use of premedication for better relief of anxiety.
The International Society for the Study of Vascular Anomalies classifies vascular anomalies into vascular tumors and vascular malformations. Vascular tumors are neoplasms of endothelial cells, among which infantile hemangiomas (IHs) are the most common, occurring in 5%-10% of infants. Glucose transporter-1 protein expression in IHs differs from that of other vascular tumors or vascular malformations. IHs are not present at birth but are usually diagnosed at 1 week to 1 month of age, rapidly proliferate between 1 and 3 months of age, mostly complete proliferation by 5 months of age, and then slowly involute to the adipose or fibrous tissue. Approximately 10% of IH cases require early treatment. The 2019 American Academy of Pediatrics clinical practice guideline for the management of IHs recommends that primary care clinicians frequently monitor infants with IHs, educate the parents about the clinical course, and refer infants with high-risk IH to IH specialists ideally at 1 month of age. High-risk IHs include those with life-threatening complications, functional impairment, ulceration, associated structural anomalies, or disfigurement. In Korea, IHs are usually treated by pediatric hematology-oncologists with the cooperation of pediatric cardiologists, radiologists, dermatologists, and plastic surgeons. Oral propranolol, a nonselective beta-adrenergic antagonist, is the first-line treatment for IHs at a dosage of 2-3 mg/kg/day divided into 2 daily doses maintained for at least 6 months and often continuing until 12 months of age. Topical timolol maleate solution, a topical nonselective beta-blocker, may be used for small superficial type IHs at a dosage of 1-2 drops of 0.5% gel-forming ophthalmic solution applied twice daily. Pulse-dye laser therapy or surgery is useful for the treatment of residual skin changes after IH involution.
A stud has been carried out for figuring out real photon spectrum from an observed gamma-ray spectrum by means of response matrix method, which is known one of the relatively convenient method for the estimation of exposure rate of a complex gamma ray field in comparison with graphical analysis and least square fitting of the measured spectrum. A 3'${\times}$3' cylindrical Nal(T1) scintillation detector in association with multichannel pulse height analyzer and six reference gamma ray sources covering the photon energy range of 0.05 to 2.0 MeV were used. In dividing the energy region for the construction of response matrix, two different approaches were attempted. One is dividing the entire energy region of interest into 20 bins, one of which corresponds to a width of 0.1 MeV to form $20{\times}20$ matrix, and another is dividing the 2 MeV region into 14 bins to form $14{\times}14$ matrix consists of $0.1(MeV)^{1/2}$ intervals assuming the resolution of the detector is dependent on square root of the incident photon energy. Inversion of thus constructed matrices was performed by a computor(P-E8/32) using the program attached to the end of this paper. The resultant exposure rates obtained by this method were in good agreement, within 10% with those calculated by ordinary formula widely used for a gamma-ray field of known energy and flux. It is concluded that the photen flux obtained by the response matrix constructed under the assumption of $E^{1/2}$ dependence is more realistic than that obtained by the matrix consist of identical energy bins in dosimetrical point of view.
We previously found that a potent gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist, buserelin, decreases GnRH promoter activity together with GnRH mRNA level, providing evidence for an autoregulatory mechanism operating at the level of GnRH gene transcription in immortalized GT1-1 neuronal cells. To examine whether agonist-induced decrease in GnRH mRNA level requires the continuous presence of buserelin, we performed a pulse-chase experiment of buserelin treatment. Short-term exposure (15 min) of GT1-1 neuronal cells to buserelin ($10{\mu}M$) was able to decrease GnRH mRNA levels when determined 24 h later. When GT1-1 cells were treated with buserelin ( $10{\mu}M$) for 30 min and then incubated for 1, 3, 6, 12, 24, and 48 h after buserelin removal, a significant decrease in GnRH mRNA levels was observed after the 12 h incubation period. These data indicate that inhibitory signaling upon buserelin treatment may occur rapidly, but requires a long time (at least 12 h) to significantly decrease the GnRH mRNA level. To examine the possible involvement of de novo synthesis and/or mRNA stability in buserelin-induced decrease in GnRH gene expression, actinomycin D ($5{\mu}m/ml$), a potent RNA synthesis blocker, was co-treated with buserelin. Actinomycin D alone failed to alter basal GnRH mRNA Revel, but blocked the buserelin-induced decrease in GnRH mRNA level at 12 h of post-treatment. These data suggest that buserelin may exert its inhibitory action by altering the stability of GnRH mRNA. Moreover, a polvsomal RNA separation by sucrose gradient centrifugation demonstrated that buserelin decreased the translational efficiency of the transcribed GnRH mRNA. Taken together, these results clearly indicate that GnRH agonist buserelin acts as an inhibitory signal at multiple levels such as transcription mRNA stability, and translation.
