Effects of Sensory Stimulation Type on Learning in Elderly People

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of sensory stimulation type on the learning of the elderly. The study implemented elderly verbal learning test by evenly dividing a total of 40 elderly people into auditory stimulation followed by visual stimulation group(AVG), visual stimulation followed by auditory stimulation group(VAG), simultaneous visual and auditory stimulation group(SG), and auditory stimulation group(AG). The result are as follows. SSG showed highest results in most of the test, followed by AVG, VAG, and AG. In particular, SG showed a statistically significant difference in immediate recall total score and short delay free recall score(p<.05). In the post-hoc test results of immediate recall total score, SG showed highest score with a statistical significance. AVG showed the second highest score, followed by VAG and AG and all showed a statistic significance(p<.05).In the post-hoc test results of short delay free recall score, SG and AVG showed a statistically significantly higher score than AG(p<.05). The results suggest that simultaneous stimulation of visual and auditory sense is more effective for improving the learning of the elderly people than visual stimulation followed by auditory stimulation or auditory stimulation followed by visual stimulation.

수용전념치료 기반 집중력프로그램이 고등학생들의 집중력 증가에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of The concentration Program Based on Acceptance-Commitment Therapy with High School Students)

  • 본 연구는 수용전념치료 기반 집중력 프로그램이 고등학생들의 회피융합, 자기조절력, 집중력, 학습태도 개선에 미치는 효과를 검증하고자 하였다. S시 소재 남자 고등학생 478명을 대상으로 회피융합, 자기조절력, 집중력, 학습태도 검사를 실시하였다. 프로그램 참여의사를 밝힌 20명을 대상으로, 10명은 수용전념기반의 집중력 프로그램에, 10명은 통제집단으로 무선 배정하였다. 프로그램은 12회기로 구성되었고, 12주 동안 주 1회로 총 12회가 진행되었다. 사전. 사후. 추적조사로 회피융합, 자기조절력, 집중력, 학습태도 검사가 반복측정 되었다. 실험 결과 집중력 프로그램에 참여한 처치집단은 통제집단보다 회피융합은 감소되었고, 자기조절력, 집중력, 학습태도는 증가하였고 9주후의 추적검사에서도 유지되고 있었다. 이러한 결과는, 수용전념치료 기반 집중력 프로그램이 학생들의 회피성융합을 감소시키는데 효과가 있고, 자기조절력, 집중력, 학습태도를 증가시키는데 효과가 있음을 입증한다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의. 시사점 및 제한점이 논의 되었다.

임상실기의 재인식과 실기모델 제안 (Recognition of Clinical Practice and Suggestion of Practical Framework)

  • Purpose: To Provide 3 main principles that needs to be changed for clinical practice and suggest the frame of clinical practice in accordance with the change of generation. Methods: We reviewed literatures related with Clinical Practice. Results: The purpose of physical therapy is to maintain the client's motor and functional ability and enhance the quality of lifestyle. To carry out the principles of clinical practice effectively all the physical therapist must be able to comprehend as follows. First, physical therapy can be different generation by generation. Second, technical terminology must be used when communicate. Third, There are certain ways of process in physical therapy. Conclusion: Physical therapist that is heath care professional occupation in health related, is in need of constant endeavor. Also physical therapist must train oneself self-directed learning.

음악치료 접근을 통한 특수학교 음악교육 교수·학습 지도안 개발 - 지적장애 중·고등학교 과정을 중심으로 - (Development of Music Teaching-Learning Program for Secondary Students with Intellectual Disabilities based on Music Therapy Approach)

  • 본 연구에서는 지적장애 중 고등학교 학생들의 효과적인 음악 수업을 위하여 교수 학습 지도안을 개발하였다. 지도안 구성 시 특수교육 분야에 관련서비스로써 역할을 해 온 음악치료 영역을 음악 교과 수업 장면에 접목시켰다. 지도안은 2008개정 특수학교 교육과정의 음악과에서 각 영역별로 주제를 재구성하여, 제재를 한 가지씩 선정하였고 교육적, 치료적인 목적에 따라 학생들의 기능 수준별로 나눈 3단계의 학생활동과 교사활동으로 구성하였다. 개발된 교수 학습 지도안은 특수음악교사 3명과 음악치료사 3명의 검증을 거쳐 1차와 2차 피드백을 받아 내용을 수정 보완하는 과정을 거쳤다. 그리고 지각, 표현, 감상 영역에 따른 단계적이고 연속적인 교육활동을 위하여 개발한 교수 학습 지도안을 바탕으로 총 20차시의 지도 계획표와 한 학기 분량의 월별 지도 계획을 제시하였다. 앞으로 본 연구의 결과가 지적장애 학교에서의 효과적인 음악 수업을 위한 자료 개발과 향후 개정 교육과정에 활용할 수 있는 기초 자료가 될 것이다. 더불어 음악치료적 접근을 중심으로 음악 수업환경을 제공하는 새로운 방법론적 아이디어를 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

A Survey of Satisfaction of Physical Therapy Course according to Teaching Ways after COVID-19

  • Purpose: We investigated the satisfaction of physical therapy course according to teaching ways after COVID-19. Methods: 336 students in major of physical therapy were recruited in this study. Based on the classification of subjects in the national examination, the questionnaire was divided into 6 subjects in the basic field of physical therapy, 2 subjects in the field of physical therapy diagnostic evaluation, 8 subjects in the field of physical therapy intervention, and 3 subjects in other fields. The Likert scale was used. Results: In the basic field of physical therapy, all subjects were shown the high score of the satisfactory in face-to-face classes except for the public health and medical law compared to the non-face-to-face classes and mixed classes. Regarding the field of physical therapy diagnostic evaluation, the principle of diagnostic evaluation was shown the high score of the satisfactory in face-to-face classes compared to the non-face-to-face classes and mixed classes. In the field of physical therapy intervention, all subjects were shown the high score of the satisfactory in face-to-face classes compared to the non-face-to-face classes and mixed classes. Conclusion: We found that the face-to-face classes in most of subjects was shown the high score of satisfactory. We believed that our results can be used as basic data for physical therapy major learning methods.

대체요법과 건강증진 가상강좌 개발 및 적용 (Development and Application of an Online Alternative Therapy and Health Promotion Class)

  • Purpose: This study was to develop an online 'alternative therapy and health promotion' class for university students and to evaluate its changes. Method: The online class was developed based on the Instructional Systems Development(ISD) model and model of Web-Based Instruction(WBI) developmental process. This was a quasi-experimental, one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of this study were 130 students in 3 universities, and they were provided the cyber class for 16 weeks. Data was analyzed by descriptive and plural answer statistics, and paired t-test. Results: The cyber class was developed in five steps : analysis, design, data collection and reconstruction, programing and publishing, and evaluation. The results of program evaluation were positive, which included learning 3.47. system 3.57, and learning satisfaction 3.64 on the scale of 5. The posttest scores of cognition and reliability of alternative therapy were higher than pretest scores. The posttest score of health promoting lifestyle(t=-5.051, p=.000) and perceived health status(t=2.979, p=.003) were significantly higher than those of the pretest. Conclusion: These results suggest that the cyber class is a positive method in increasing a cognition, reliability of alternative therapy, and is effective to improve a health promotion lifestyle and perceived health status for the university students.

근전도 바이오피드백을 이용한 훈련이 안면신경마비 환자의 운동학습에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Electromyographic Biofeedback Training on the Muscle Activities of Unilateral Facial Palsy)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine EMG biofeedback training effect on the muscle activities in 3 unilateral facial palsy patients along with multiple baseline design across subjects. The auditory feedback about facial muscles (orbicularis oris, orbicularis oculi, frontalis) was provided with each patient during facial exercise training. Electromyographic (EMG) activity during maximal voluntary contraction and maximal compound muscle action potential (CMAP) amplitude elected by supramaximal electrical stimulation on facial nerve of facial muscles were measured pre- and post- EMG biofeedback training to evaluate motor learning. EMG activity during maximal voluntary contraction was increased after EMG biofeedback training and CMAP amplitude elected by supramaximal electrical stimulation was not changed in all subjects. The results indicate that EMG biofeedback training is useful method to improve motor learning of facial excercise training in unilateral facial palsy patients.

수행에 대한 지식의 상대적 빈도가 편마비 환자의 균형 재훈련에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Relative Frequency of Knowledge of Performance on Balance Retraining in Patients With Hemiplegia)

  • During therapy sessions, feedback is often provided concurrently by the physical therapist as the patient attempts to perform a movement and after the movement attempt. This feedback is provided to enhance the patient's balance abilities. However, recent studies in nondisabled populations have suggested that frequent feedback may be detrimental to retention or learning of motor skills. This study compared the effects of 100% relative frequency of knowledge of performance (KP) with 66% relative frequency of KP for motor learning on balance retraining in patients with hemiplegia. Twenty patients with hemiplegic were randomly assigned to one of two experimental groups. The acquisition phase consisted of 16 blocks of 5 trials for 2 days (80 total practice trials). The retention phase consisted of 2 blocks of a short-term retention test, one day after the end of the acquisition phase and a long-term retention test, one week after the end of the short-term retention test. In the 100% feedback condition, participants received feedback after every practice trial. A faded KP schedule was used in the 66% condition. No significant differences were found between the two groups during all experimental phases (acquisition and retention phases), (p>.05). However, there were significant decreases in balance index for both groups of acquisition phase (p<.05). These results suggest that 66% relative frequency of KP is not more effective than 100% relative frequency of KP with respect to retention over time when hemiparetic patients attempt to learn balance.

보건계열 대학생의 학습전략과 학업 성취도 연구 (A Study on the Learning Strategies and Academic Achievements of the Students in the Department of Health Science)

  • 목적: 학습전략과 학업성취도 사이에 상관이 있는지와, 높은 학업성취 대학생과 낮은 학업성취 대학생의 학습전략에 차이가 있는지를 조사해 보고자 하였다. 연구방법: K대학교 보건계열 1학년 대학생 103명을 대상으로 Multi-dimensional Learning Strategy Test를 활용하여 45분 동안 183문항을 조사하였다. 결과: 성격적 특성 중 효능감과 실천력이 학업성취도와 의미 있는 상관이 있는 것으로 드러났으며, 동기적 특성과의 관계에서는 학업성취도가 학습동기와는 유의한 정적인 상관을 보였으나, 회피동기와는 부적 상관을 보여 주었다. 학업성취도와 행동적 특성과의 관계에서는 8개요인 모두에서 통계적으로 유의한 상관을 보여주었다. 높은 학업 성취군과 낮은 학업성취군 사이의 학습전략 사용에 차이가 있는지에 대한 조사 결과를 보면, 성격적 특성에서는 두 그룹사이에 효능감과 실천력에서 유의한 차이가 있었으며, 정서적 특성에서는 낮은 학업성취군 학생들이 우울을 느끼는 정도가 높은 학업성취군 학생들보다 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 동기적 특성에서는 낮은 학업성취군 학생들은 높은 학업성취군 학생들에 비해 현저히 낮은 학습동기를 가지고 있었으며, 회피 동기에서는 반대로 현저히 높은 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로, 행동적 특성의 사용능력에 있어서는 8개요인 모두에서 낮은 학업성취군 학생들이 높은 학업성취군 학생들에 비해 현저히 뒤떨어지는 것으로 나타났다. 결론: 학업에서 상대적으로 낮은 성취를 보이는 학생들의 주요한 원인 가운데 하나는 이들이 높은 학업 성취를 보이는 학생들에 비해 학습전략의 사용 능력에 있어서 뒤떨어진다는 사실을 확인하였다. 이러한 점은 대학 교육과정에서 교양이나 전공과목의 개설 뿐 아니라 학습전략의 효과적 사용을 위한 특강이나 세미나 등의 프로그램을 설치 운영할 필요가 있음을 시사한다.

Application of Art Therapy with Usage of Distance Education in the Process of Specialists Professional Training

  • Nowadays, the issues of comprehensive formation of a person capable of self-education, self-development and creative self-realization in the conditions of distance education are relevant. There is a need to solve this problem, which is due to social, cultural, and pedagogical factors. This makes it necessary to find effective means of personality formation. In this matter, great importance is attached to the modern method of forming a creative personality - art therapy. Various approaches to the definition of art therapy have been clarified. They consider various forms of art therapy when working with children, adolescents and adults in the context of distance education. The most relevant are the two main forms of work - individual and group art therapy. Art therapy develops the individual's creativity. Therefore, during art therapy, attention is focused on the inner world, experiences, and feelings. Therefore, we believe that in the context of distance education, art therapy has everything for the powerful potential of personality formation. Scientists consider this therapy as therapy by means of art, which is based on experiences, conflicts that can be expressed in the visual arts and music. Art therapy helps to get rid of conflicts and experiences. This happens in the context of distance education through the development of attention to feelings, strengthening one's own personal value and increasing artistic competence. The article describes the signs that characterize art therapy. Art-therapeutic technologies in the context of distance education, which are now actively used by psychologists, teachers and art therapists themselves, are highlighted. The advantages of distance learning are considered. The characteristic features of distance learning and features of the use of art therapy by means of distance education in the process of professional training of specialists are determined.
