벤처기업의 성장과 지식경영: 케이맥(주) 사례를 중심으로 (Growth of Venture Company and Knowledge Management: The Case of K-MAC(Korea Materials & Analysis Corp.))

  • This paper is aimed at investigating the factors to grow the new technology based firm(NTBF), K-MAC. NTBFs need an environment in which novelty is encouraged, employees find work meaningful and controllable, learning is incorporated into work, ideas and process improvements are implemented and a balanced focus of the internal and external to the company is fostered. With collaboration between industry and academia, Lynda Aiman-Smith made an instrument of VIQ(Value Innovation Quotient), which is consist of 9 factors, 33 items. VIQ Results can help the company to develop a better understanding of the organization's culture, and its formal subgroups. That is to identify subcultures in the organization, to diagnose potential problems or inhibitors of innovation, to identify organizational strengths for innovation and set a quantitative baseline. Using the VIQ,K-MAC analysed the subculture of innovation potential capability. K-MAC organized the COP(community of practice) with the young employees' participation and try to solve the real problem in the working place. This paper explained the diverse growing trajectory through the TPM concept and suggest for the future strategy.

학습/적응력을 갖는 퍼지제어시스템들에 관한 고찰 (A Survey on the Fuzzy Control Systems with Learning/Adaptation Capability)

  • 본 논문에서는 학습/적응능력을 갖는 퍼지제어시스템들이 여러가지 관점에서 고찰되었다. 먼저, 기존에 제안된 다양한 학습/적응 퍼지제어시스템들의 기본적인 구성요소들을 바탕으로하여 이러한 시스템들의 일반적인 구조를 제안하였다. 그리고 제안된 구조의 중요한 구성요소들을 중심으로 고찰기준을 설정하였다. 고찰기준으로는 퍼지제어기나 퍼지모델 등에 사용되는 퍼지추론시스템의 구조, 학습/적응에 사용되는 퍼지추론시스템의 조정계수와 제어성능 평가함수, 그리고 학습/적응알고리즘을 설정하였다. 다음으로, 이러한 고찰기준들을 바탕으로하여 학습/적응 퍼지제어시스템들을 분류하고 각각의 특징들을 고찰하였다. 마지막으로, 사용된 퍼지추론시스템들의 범용 함수근사화 성질에 대하여도 알아 보았다.

  • This paper presents an feed-forward neural network design instead PI controller for the speed control of an Induction Motor. The design employs the training strategy with Neural Network Controller(NNC) and Neural Network Emulator(NNE). Emulator identifies the motor by simulating the input and output map. In order to update the weights of the Controller. Emulator supplies the error path to the output stage of the controller using backpropagation algorithm. and then Controller produces an adequate output to the system due to neural networks learning capability. Therefore it becomes adjustable to the system with changing characteristics caused by a load. The speed control based on neural networks for induction motor is implemented by a vector controlled induction motor. The simulation results demonstrate that actual motor speed with neural network system well follows the reference speed minimizing the error and is available to implement on the vector control theory.

  • 다구찌 파라미터 설계는 품질특성의 변동을 최대한 줄이면서 동시에 품질특성의 평균을 목표치 가까이 가져가기 위한 설계인자의 최적조건을 찾는 방법이다. 제품의 설계단계에서 품질특성과 여러 개의 설계인자와의 관계는 복잡한 비선형 형태를 가지는 경우가 대부분이다. 신경망에서 유연한 모형선택과 학습능력은 알 수 없는 복잡한 비선형 형태를 파악하는데 아주 유용한 도구이다. 본 연구는 파라미터 설계에서 설계인자의 최적조건을 찾기 위하여 신경망을 이용한 최적화 방안을 제안하였다.

  • In this paper, we present a novel approach for the structure of Fuzzy Neural Network(FNN) based on wavelet function and apply this network structure to the solution of the tracking problem for mobile robots. Generally, the wavelet fuzzy model(WFM) has the advantage of the wavelet transform by constituting fuzzy basis function(FBF) and the conclusion part to equalize the linear combination of FBF with the linear combination of wavelet functions. However, it is very difficult to identify the fuzzy rules and to tune the membership functions of the fuzzy reasoning mechanism. Neural networks, on the other hand, utilize their learning capability for automatic identification and tuning. Therefore, we design a wavelet based FNN structure(WFNN) that merges these advantages of neural network, fuzzy model and wavelet. To verify the efficiency of our network structure, we evaluate the tracking performance for mobile robot and compare it with those of the FNN and the WFM.

An Architecture for Mobile Instruction: Application to Mathematics Education through the Web

  • The rapid proliferation of wireless networks provides a ubiquitous channel for delivering instructional materials at the convenience of the user. By delivering content through portable devices linked to the Internet, the full spectrum of multimedia capabilities is available for engaging the user's interest. This capability encompasses not only text but images, video, speech generation and voice recognition. Moreover, the incorporation of machine learning capabilities at the source provides the ability to tailor the material to the general level of expertise of the user as well as the immediate needs of the moment: for instance, a request for information regarding a particular city might be covered by a leisurely presentation if solicited from the home, but more tersely if the user happens to be driving a car. This paper presents system architecture to support mobile instruction in conjunction with knowledge-based tutoring capabilities. For concreteress, the general concepts are examined in the context of a system for mathematics education on the Web.

초등학교 저학년 수학교육에서의 역동적 평가 방안 탐색 (The Dynamic Assessment for Lower Grades of Primary School)

  • The Goals of mathematics education for the lower grades of primary school is to shape the basic concepts and the skills of mathematics. To achieve this goal, it is necessary an assessment which is able to help the students' learning activities by precisely diagnosing their basic mathematical capability. It should lend the students an assistance in diagnosing and revising their problems throughout teacher's cognitive participation in the process of mathematical problem solving. I would like to suggest the dynamic assessment as one of these kinds of approaches. In order to prove the utilities of this way, it was examined the necessity of dynamic assessment on the basis of the Vygotsky's theory after looking into the characteristics of the contents and methods of the mathematics education for the lower grades of primary school. Next, I researched the principles of the dynamic assessment and embodied the assessment tool to evaluate the mathematical achievement of the lower grades of the primary school. Lastly, it was provided the examples of the dynamic assessment tool in order to assist the practice of it.

A Review on Path Selection and Navigation Approaches Towards an Assisted Mobility of Visually Impaired People

  • Some things come easily to humans, one of them is the ability to navigate around. This capability of navigation suffers significantly in case of partial or complete blindness, restricting life activity. Advances in the technological landscape have given way to new solutions aiding navigation for the visually impaired. In this paper, we analyze the existing works and identify the challenges of path selection, context awareness, obstacle detection/identification and integration of visual and nonvisual information associated with real-time assisted mobility. In the process, we explore machine learning approaches for robotic path planning, multi constrained optimal path computation and sensor based wearable assistive devices for the visually impaired. It is observed that the solution to problem is complex and computationally intensive and significant effort is required towards the development of richer and comfortable paths for safe and smooth navigation of visually impaired people. We cannot overlook to explore more effective strategies of acquiring surrounding information towards autonomous mobility.

Application of compressive sensing and variance considered machine to condition monitoring

  • A significant data problem is encountered with condition monitoring because the sensors need to measure vibration data at a continuous and sometimes high sampling rate. In this study, compressive sensing approaches for condition monitoring are proposed to demonstrate their efficiency in handling a large amount of data and to improve the damage detection capability of the current condition monitoring process. Compressive sensing is a novel sensing/sampling paradigm that takes much fewer data than traditional data sampling methods. This sensing paradigm is applied to condition monitoring with an improved machine learning algorithm in this study. For the experiments, a built-in rotating system was used, and all data were compressively sampled to obtain compressed data. The optimal signal features were then selected without the signal reconstruction process. For damage classification, we used the Variance Considered Machine, utilizing only the compressed data. The experimental results show that the proposed compressive sensing method could effectively improve the data processing speed and the accuracy of condition monitoring of rotating systems.

영화를 활용한 건축 및 의사소통의 융합 교육 방법 - 다큐멘터리 <말하는 건축가>를 중심으로 - (The Research on Convergence Education Method of Architecture and Communication Using Film - Focused , a Documentary Film -)

  • This paper proposes a convergence education method that combines architecture and communication through a documentary film entitled the Talking Architecture. The purpose of this program is to propose a new teaching and learning method for architecture education and investigates what would be an effective method of communication for architects. As mentioned above, this paper proposes a teaching method and a model applicable to actual classes based on the Talking Architect. It is proved that the method can be used for various types of classes and fields such as architectural expression, architectural planning and designing, housing theory, building structure, building materials, and other subject matters. In addition, this paper explores how architects communicate as described in the film. The findings show the potential of integrity, negotiating capability, and the convergent method of thinking and communication between the humanities and architecture as a positive communication model for architects. This paper opens up the possibilities for convergence education in the field of engineering education through three key words: film, architecture, and communication. And this paper is worth in that it is a useful method for developing convergence courses and team-teaching courses.
