The purpose of this study was to apply the learning clinic program to the maladjusted children to help the cognitive processing style, sense type and learning strategy. The results were as follows. First, the cognitive processing style of low-grade elementary school children is divided into the concept of sequential low-order style, which analyzes information sequentially and consecutively, concrete thinking style that processes real and direct information coming in from outside, and invisible principle or information. The abstract cognitive thinking style improved after the process before the program proceeded. However, There was no meaningful result in the simultaneous processing cognitive style which had excellent intuition and emotion and likes change. Second, the temporal lobe in which the linguistic activity is viewed, heard and spoken in the sensory type, the function of the occipital lobe in which the character or the language is processed is improved, but the function of the parietal lobe in moving and manipulating the body is not significant. Finally, factors that contribute to learning such as sincerity, learning initiative, study method, study habits, and concentration are helpful in learning and school life.
In nursing, a practice discipline, it has been argued whether the mastery of clinical competence depends on types of learning styles, learning experience, and the use of specialized skills. All these problems are not limited to nursing education. Later educators identified the importance of reflective learning which is a vital element in any form of learning and that teachers and students need to consider how they can incorporate some forms of reflection in the courses. The purpose of this study is to review educational articles for understanding better what reflection in learning is, to identify the theme which is of important relevance to professional practice, from the book, Educating the reflective practitioner, and to discuss the theme within nursing education. Reflection in learning was defined by Dewey(1933) as the process which is involved the perception of relationships and connections between the parts of an experience. This experience is passed on when two people becoming involved with each other in a conversation. schon(1987) emphasized that learning conversation, which is a part of the interaction of student and teacher, is an important factor of the process of reflection-om-actopm. In clinical nursing education, good relationships between teacher and student, faculty's role, interpersonal skills are critical in learning conversation. Then Practing nurses who accept the need to choose nursing actionss on the basis of reflection, who accepet the necessity for understanding and being able to communicate the reasons for action are a powerfful force for the development of nursing into an increasingly more effective profession for the benefit of patients.
The subjects of this study were 86 eight- and 76 ten-year-old children(total: 162). Experimental procedures and tools included pre- and post- learning tests and controls for intelligence (Draw-a-Man-Test) and for cognitive styles(Children's Embedded Figures Test). The content of the learning task was the lightning generation process. After various types of seven-minute color animation multimedia presentations about the generation of lightning were screened, post-hoc analysis showed that the rehearsal strategy was effective with field-dependent learners but not with field-independent learners.
An experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of three types of prior knowledge (domain related knowledge, summary-writing strategy knowledge, and neutral unrelated knowledge) and two types (analytic and wholistic) of cognitive styles on the quality of the summary writing of a descriptive text. The results showed that learning domain-related knowledge and summary-writing-strategy knowledge increased the level of understanding of the target text and the quality of the summary; the former operating mainly at the understanding phase, and the latter operating mainly during the summary planning and producing phases. The effect of the types of cognitive style was found somewhat limited but mainly operating In the process of planing the summary. Other features of time course in writing a summary were further discussed.

There are various styles of license plates for different countries and use cases that require style-specific methods. In this paper, we propose and illustrate a multi-style license plate recognition system. The proposed system performs a series of processes for license plate candidates detection, structure classification, character segmentation and character recognition, respectively. Specifically, we introduce a license plate structure classification process to identify its style that precedes character segmentation and recognition processes. We use a K-Nearest Neighbors algorithm with pre-training steps to recognize numbers and characters on multi-style license plates. To show feasibility of our multi-style license plate recognition system, we evaluate our system for multi-style license plates covering single line, double line, different backgrounds and character colors on Korean and the U.S. license plates. For the evaluation of Korean license plate recognition, we used a 50 minutes long input video that contains 138 vehicles of 6 different license plate styles, where each frame of the video is processed through a series of license plate recognition processes. From two experiments results, we show that various LP styles can be recognized under 50 ms processing time and with over 99% accuracy, and can be extended through additional learning and training steps.
International comparative studies of students' performance in mathematics have shown that Korean students possess very negative attitudes toward mathematics, while they are ranked as one of the highest in the cognitive achievement of mathematics. This has prompted mathematics educators to seek for a way to improve the quality of mathematics education. In this context, this research has been conducted to investigate the learning style of Korean middle school students under the assumption that it is of essence to understand the characteristics of our students as mathematics learners. For the purpose, in-depth interview had been conducted and sixteen middle students participated in the interview. The students were chosen to represent the average group of their age-cohorts based on their performance in mathematics and their SES. The interview was designed as a semi-structured clinical interview. In the interview, the students were given mathematical tasks dealing with central themes in the domain of function. Each student was given about 30 to 50 minutes to solve the tasks. After an interviewee finished the tasks, s/he was asked to explained how s/he solved the tasks. The researchers asked additional questions to clarify the students' understanding of the mathematical themes in the tasks and to identify their strategies for learning mathematics. The analysis of the in-depth interview has primarily identified the characteristics of the students' understanding of the main themes in function and then has been extended to investigate their characteristic styles for learning mathematics. The analysis of the interview identified the learning styles of the students as 'inductive learning based on prototypical cases', 'repeated practice of exemplar mathematics problems', 'disengaged learning', and 'double standards in learning mathematics'. Based on the results of the analysis, this research presents the implications for the improvement of mathematics education.
When a designer creates a new web-based learning-teaching system, there are so many considerations to help learners' learning effect through effective interaction. First of all, web-based simulation is recommended to provide learners with effective and attractive learning environments in web. Efficient study design should be considered because well designed simulation-based contents provide continuous interest for learner. Until now many e-Learning systems provide web-based simulation using various technique. However, those contents require to be reorganized considering the level of accomplishment, learning styles. In this paper, I proposed a system that the learners can share simulation objects among other e-Learning systems using XML web service. By experimental result, the proposed system shows that is more efficient than the conventional system in the self-leading study activity and interactivity.

Organizational personnel must have well-developed interpersonal skills to deal with the different stakeholders and departments, to work at different levels in the hierarchy, and to meet varying performance requirements. Many leadership development and mentoring programs are designed to expose students as well as construction professionals to contemporary leadership techniques and skills. Leadership skills generally separate into three decision-making styles with varying degrees: 1) Autocratic, 2) Participate, and 3) Free-rein. This paper describes the study of leadership styles among 174 construction professionals and addresses the most appropriate leadership style for a project executive and a project manager in relation to compare with the characteristic leadership style and job functions. The study supports the growing importance of leadership skills as a component of managerial functions and provides a benchmark to identify a dominant leadership skill for a specific managerial position.

This descriptive study was conducted to determine the influence of stress coping styles of nursing students on problem solving ability. Data were collected from 142 nursing students in the M-area from September 20, 2016, to November 30 and analyzed using SPSS WIN 21.0. The average degree of stress coping styles was $3.36{\pm}.30$ (5 point-scale), problem solving abilities was $3.42{\pm}.38$ (5 point-scale). Among the subdomains of stress coping styles, problem focusing was highest, with a score of $3.60{\pm}.42$. Additionally, among the subdomains of problem solving ability, clarification was highest, with a score of $3.50{\pm}.51$. The problem solving abilities of nursing students showed a positive correlation with stress coping styles (r=0.53, p<.001) and was positively correlated with problem focusing (r=0.66, p<.001), positive point of view (r=0.53, p<.001), and social support navigation (r=0.42, p<.001). In addition, the factor with the greatest effect among subdomains of stress coping styles was problem focusing (${\beta}=0.416$, p<.001) and positive point of view (${\beta}=0.257$, p=.002). These two factors were found to explain 54.3% of the variance in problem solving ability. Therefore, the results of this study indicate that application of teaching-learning methods has the potential to improve students' problem-solving ability through problem-oriented and positive stress coping behavior.
