  • This research aimed at investigating the relation between police officer's organizational learning and organizational effectiveness based on hypothetical model about the influence of police officer's organizational learning on organizational effectiveness. In order to achieve this purpose, the researcher selected 163 police officers as the test group, who are in active service at Gwangju District Police Agency from July 14~August 15, 2013. As the sampling method, the researcher used random sampling method and conducted a survey based on self-administrated method, and the finally analyzed data was analyzed through SPSS for Win Version 17.0 statistical program. The research results are as follows. First, it was comprehended that police officer's higher level of organizational learning influenced organizational commitment more, lower factor of organizational effectiveness, significantly. Second, it was analyzed that police officer's learning ability significantly influenced job satisfaction, lower factor of organizational effectiveness, besides organizational commitment.

  • The purpose of this research was to analyze the effects of smart learning. By using meta analysis method, twenty MA and Ph.D degree papers published from 2006 to 2013 were analyzed and 104 effect sizes were calculated. Followings were the results of the research: (a) Smart learning turned out to be more statistically effective comparing to traditional education. The total mean effect size was .886 and the value of U3 was 66.53%. (b) All effect size of sub dependent variables(ie, academic achievement, learning satisfaction, learning attitude) were also effective by adapting smart learning. (c) The moderated variables likes learner characteristics, learning content, and interaction had high effect sizes. Operation system variable had a low effect size but it was not significant.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the effectiveness of VR-based industrial safety education compared with conventional methods. For the study, three types of safety learning contents(VR-based learning, rule-based learning, and case-based learning) were developed and implemented with three college students groups. The results show that VR-based learning was effective in sustaining learning outcomes compared to other two conventional contents groups. In addition, participants perceived VR-based safety learning is attractive that facilitates their learning motivation and usefulness.

  • The purpose of this study is to review the essentials of teaching-effectiveness affecting the students' achievement. Any discussion of psychological research and theory concerned with the way teachers affect student learning must consider a variety of issues germane to this research. These issues provide a context for interpreting the research presently available and for identifying an appropriate agenda for future research. Finally, research on teacher effects needs to expand its concern for the psychological mechanisms that are responsible for student learning from instruction. Within the context of this study, that concern is probably the major challenge facing educational psychologists interested in the teaching-learning process.

  • Mobile learning is a practical learning method for busy adult learners because the mobility of digital devices can overcome the drawbacks of e-learning. However, research is strongly lacking in the theoretical exploration of mobile learning effects and functions and its empirical research. Moreover, the research of learning characteristics and learners' requirements must be considered before applying and disseminating mobile learning into the educational field. To address this shortcoming, this study conducted an online survey with 1,542 officers of the Ministry of Health and Welfare Affairs (MHWA) regarding learner recognition to mobile learning. The analysis of learners' attitudes toward mobile learning, based on age and position, indicated that subordinate workers appeared to place more value on mobile learning. Many participants preferred mobile learning because of its mobility and the effectiveness of anywhere and anytime. However, some participants continue to misunderstand mobile learning and its necessity. Therefore, consideration of learning effectiveness, the form of the content, and learner-centered learning must be reviewed in advance. This study could lead to practical implications of mobile learning.

  • Flipped learning is necessary for modern education but quite difficult to implement. In pedagogical science, the question remains to what extent the practical work of the teacher in combination with the technologies of flipped learning will improve the quality of higher education. The aim of this article is to study the effectiveness and feasibility of using flipped learning technologies, assessing their perception by students (advantages and problems), identified an algorithm for introducing flipped learning technology in higher education institutions. Research methods. The main method is an experiment. An evaluation of the effectiveness of the study was conducted using a questionnaire and observation method. Statistical methods were used to evaluate the results of the experiment. The research hypothesis is that flipped learning allows the teacher to spend more time on an individual approach, to understand the real needs of students, and provide effective feedback, thereby improving the quality of learning and motivation of students, especially while studying complex material. The results of the study are to prove the effectiveness of the technology of flipped education in the study of complex disciplines, courses, topics. The use of flipped learning strategies improves the self-regulation of the educational process, group work skills, improves students' ability to learn, overcome difficulties. The technology of flipped learning in the presence of modern technical means and constant work on improving the level of digital literacy is an effective means for students to master complex topics and problematic issues that require additional consideration and discussion. The perspective of further research is the consideration of integrated approaches to the application of flipped learning technologies to the principles of STEAM-education, multilingual and multicultural programs, etc. It is also worth continuing to develop a set of methods aimed at enhancing the student's learning activities, the formation of group work skills, direct participation in creating the foundations of higher education.

  • Main objectives of the this study are: to develop a model of "Flipped Leaning" that is designed to enhance self-directed learning, learning motivation and self-control, and to verify its effectiveness-in higher education. The verification process initially concentrated on the feasibility study of the model with a thorough literature review and case analyses; then, its general and practical applicability were tested with a field study. As a result, first, the CHANGE Class Model, specifically designed for effective and efficient "Flipped Learning", was developed. It is thus named for the stages that the learning process takes place in the model-i.e., (1) Check ${\rightarrow}$ (2) Ask ${\rightarrow}$ (3) Notice ${\rightarrow}$ (4) Group presentation ${\rightarrow}$ (5) Evaluation, and it emphasizes the dynamic, questions centered (i.e. back and forth between the students and the instructor as well as between the students) learning process. Second, the Model was instrumental in enhancing self-directed learning, learning motivation and self-control; thus, as a result, it significantly improved the effectiveness, the level of concentration and the attractiveness of the learning process. The value of this study lies in pointing to a clear plan to allow a student in higher learning to set-up a self-directed learning plan, to be able to control it while being continuously motivated to complete it.

  • This study aims to investigate the effects of the implementation of self-directed learning through the homepage between the teacher and the students for English reading classes. The study focuses on the questions of whether the self-directed learning through the homepage, compared to the teacher-centered learning, would enable a significantly positive change in the students' achievements and of what their responses to this new learning method are. 72 students were grouped into an experimental and a control group, and then each group was subdivided into three levels (high, medium, low) of proficiency. Findings demonstrate that the experimental group showed statistically more significant increases in their scores of reading proficiency test than the control group. For the question of students' responses to the learning experience, the three groups within the experimental group responded to a questionnaire survey with regard to the positive attitude of learning, the effectiveness of self-directed learning and its learning materials, and usability of the homepage. In general, the experimental group considered the experience satisfactory, although the degree of positive responses varied according to the proficiency level of the group. This suggests the importance and effectiveness of self-directed learning using the computer and internet as a supplementary learning tool.

  • The purpose of this study is to determine the effects of CMC-based English learning. In this study, CMC components were found to provide circumstances of facilitating interactions between student-student and student-student-teacher, which enabled students to accomplish language learning tasks. Findings of this study are as follows: First, CMC based language learning experience helps students have positive attitudes toward their English language learning. Second, student-student-instructor interaction group outperformed other groups in academic achievement and class activity participation. Third, cooperative learning groups more actively participated in the class activity than the individual learning group resulting in better academic performances. These findings supported the fact that cooperative learning with CMC components are useful in bringing more class participation and positive attitude that were believed to foster language learning than other groups in traditional language learning environments. This study suggests that the instructor needs to use instructional design strategies helpful to facilitate active interactions between instructors and students in order to achieve better effectiveness of English learning in a CMC based learning environment.
