Massive chylous leakage is a rare postoperative complication that can prolong hospital stay and cause secondary morbidities. Conservative management strategies are the treatment of choice; however, radiation therapy (RT) can be used as an alternative for cases that are refractory to conservative treatment. Herein, we report a 69-year-old female patient who suffered from massive chylous leakage after subtotal gastrectomy. Due to persistent massive chylous leakage, she was scheduled to undergo low-dose RT. Radiation was delivered with a daily dose of 1 Gy, using an anterior-posterior and posterior-anterior beam arrangement. The clinical target volume encompassed the entire lymph node area of the D2 dissection. RT was completed at the total dose of 8 Gy because the amount of chylous leakage declined rapidly. Percutaneous drainage tube was removed after 3 days of RT. The patient did not complain of any symptoms related to massive chylous leakage 2 years after the completion of RT.

The purpose of this study is to minimize radiation exposure to the workers and public members during CT examination. The objects are seven of the CT rooms in university hospitals and four of the CT rooms in clinics located in Busan and Gyung-nam area. The places of measurement for radiation leakage are 1) 3 m above the ground of shielding wall in the control room 2) particular space in the control room 3) worker's gate in the control room 4) the patient gate. Its values were calculated maximum leakage radiation per week(MLRW). As a result, the worker's gate of M clinic displayed the highest dose. When it was calculated by MLRW in classic method, it showed 1) $5.97{\pm}0.23$, 2) $0.50{\pm}0.02$, 3) $10.00{\pm}0.11$, 4) $2.37{\pm}0.47$ mR/week. All of them did not exceed limit for maximum permissible dose per week(MPDW). However, When MLRW of M clinic was calculated by empirical method, its value displayed $118.31{\pm}17.72$ mR/week.(MPDW>100 mR/week). Radiation leakage influenced in the control room(p<0.05). Therefore, The way of calculating MLRW must be developed and shielding wall in control room is designed 3 m above the ground for reducing dangerous of leakage radiation.
Background: We investigated the current characteristics of a thin-film Ag electrode on a chemical vapor deposition (CVD) diamond. The CVD diamond is widely recognized as a radiation detection material because of its high tolerance against high radiation, stable response to various dose rates, and good sensitivity. Additionally, thin-film Ag has been widely used as an electrode with high electrical conductivity. Materials and Methods: Considering these properties, the thin-film Ag electrode was deposited onto CVD diamonds with varied deposition thicknesses (${\fallingdotseq}50/98/152/257nm$); subsequently, the surface thickness, surface roughness, leakage current, and photo-current were characterized. Results and Discussion: The leakage current was found to be very low, and the photo-current output signal was observed as stable for a deposited film thickness of 98 nm; at this thickness, a uniform and constant surface roughness of the deposited thin-film Ag electrode were obtained. Conclusion: We found that a CVD diamond radiation detector with a thin-film Ag electrode deposition thickness close to 100 nm exhibited minimal leakage current and yielded a highly stable output signal.

In this paper, leakage current sensing module of SoC(System on Chip)type and real time monitoring system under consideration of electromagnetic interface in power trunk line are developed. The first, leakage current sensing module of SoC type under consideration of electromagnetic interface is developed, and the developed sensing module of SoC type is composed of leakage sensing part, power supply part, interface part, communication part, AD(Alternating current to Direct current)convert part and amplification part. And also the electromagnetic compatibility is evaluated by conduction and radiation of EMI(Electromagnetic Interference) for developed sensing module. The developed system can have confidence, stability and do energy saving under mixed electric circumstance of the low voltage communication device and high voltage equipment. The second, the real time remote monitoring system is developed using designed wire and wireless communication module with leakage current sensing module of SoC type. The developed real time remote monitoring system can monitor sensing state, occurrence state of leakage current and alarm for each step etc.. And the device configuration, PCB layout for leakage current sensing module of system on chip type and the experiment configuration in consideration of EMI are presented. Also the measurement results of conduction and radiation for EMI are presented.
Purpose: To compare the leakage and scattered radiation from hand-held dental X-ray unit with radiation from fixed dental X-ray unit. Materials and Methods: For evaluation we used one hand-held dental X-ray unit and Oramatic 558 (Trophy Radiologie, France), a fixed dental X-ray unit. Doses were measured with Unfors Multi-O-Meter 512L at the right and left hand levels of X-ray tube head part for the scattered and leakage radiation when human skull DXTTR III was exposed to both dental X-ray units. And for the leakage radiation only, doses were measured at the immediately right, left, superior and posterior side of the tube head part when air was exposed. Exposure parameters of handheld dental X-ray unit were 70 kVp, 3 mA, 0.1 second, and of fixed X-ray unit 70 kVp, 8 mA, 0.45 second. Results: The mean dose at the hand level when human skull DXTTR III was exposed with portable X-ray unit $6.39{\mu}Gy$, and the mean dose with fixed X-ray unit $3.03{\mu}Gy$ (p<0.001). The mean dose at the immediate side of the tube head part when air was exposed with portable X-ray unit was $2.97{\mu}Gy$ and with fixed X-ray unit the mean dose was $0.68{\mu}Gy$ (p<0.01). Conclusions: The leakage and scattered radiation from hand-held dental radiography was greater than from fixed dental radiography.
The objective of this study was to conduct a radiation shielding analysis for the facility equipped with radiation generator. The analysis was carried out in two aspects. First, from the aspect of the effect caused by primary and leakage radiation. Second, effect of scattered radiation was evaluated by applying a simple calculation method based on a scattering rate concept since effect of scattered radiation is significantly important at maze entrance of the radiation facility. The calculated results obtained using the simple method were compared to the results calculated using Geant4 code and the measured values. The results calculated by the suggested method indicate that slight error exists in a radiation shielding analysis done at the maze entrance comparing to other two results, while the results evaluated at the outside of the maze entrance door are relatively consistent with other values.
We aim to evaluate safety of radiation by measuring leakage dose and patient(phantom) incident dose of ZEN-PX II dental portable equipment developed by G company. Measurement for leakage dose of equipment is conducted on the top, at the bottom, on the left, on the right and at the back. Dose measurement incident on the subject with the area dosimeter when using the phantom and measurement the leakage dose of equipment when using the phantom are evaluated. Comparing the right with the highest leakage dose as a 0 cm, 25 cm, 50 cm, 75 cm and 100 cm dose measurement at the measurement height of 100 cm, 64.2 uR was reduced to 47.3 uR in the senser mode 0.32sec. Even in film mode it was measured at 414.4 uR and about 27% lower at 162.6 uR. As the result of this study, when the irradiation time is 2 sec the right side dose is 290.5 uR and sensor mode is 0.32 sec the right side dose is 64.2 uR.
Checked out by the moving vehicle health checks for patients, practitioners, and the increase in radiation dose outside the vehicle, but an investigation into the leakage of radiation can still be negligible. In this study, through experimental results were as follows: Dose that occurs most often where the leak in the right door $1.14{\pm}1.75mR/h$, X-ray generator in terms of proximity to the top $0.65{\pm}1.25mR/h$, X-ray generator and away to the bottom in terms $0.91{\pm}1.25mR/h$, the adjacent rear detector in the upper part $96.98{\pm}158.88mR/h$ dose of the leak appeared in various locations. By measuring position from the rear of the adjacent detector $67.48{\pm}97.03mR/h$ dose had the highest leakage into. Generating device for diagnosis of radiation safety regulations regarding the maximum leakage dose per week, but all met back when it is displayed in the leakage dose Hourly rates do not ignore the leakage radiation dose were measured. Therefore, a mobile health screening in a vehicle outside of the leakage radiation dose to the liver and move on we are not interested twelve barrier leakage radiation dose of defense has a chance to re-evaluate the standards required, and move the vehicle health check using the X-ray increases as the dose per hour, depending on the criteria for choosing the appropriate measures that will require effort.
The purposed of this study were measured the radiation exposure of patients and workers by generators, and the protection state for radiation facilities. The subject of the study by X-ray generators in university hospitals of capital area, we measured the maximum irradiation condition of 80 kVp, 200 mA, 0.1 second in the control entrance, control room window, entrance of radiography, adjacent site. The leakage dose per week was which the control entrance was 0.11 mR/week, control room window was 0.15 mR/week, entrance of radiography was 0.12 mR/week and adjacent site was 0.06 mR/week with X-ray unit the mean And the leakage mean dose was 0.11 mR/week. Diagnostic X-ray tubes must ensure that the leakage radiation in the maximum leakage dose in week emitted by the tube outside the useful beam does not exceed certain levels provided by standards.
