판스프링을 사용한 마모실험에서 마찰계수와 마찰온도를 고려한 마모식의 개선 (Development of Wear Equation according to Friction Coefficient and Temperature using a Dual Leaf-Spring in the Sliding Test)

  • The wear behavior as the hardness of the sliding elements on the dry wear has been investigated using a dual leaf-spring. The materials of the specimens are used as ten kinds along their hardness. In this study, both upper and lower specimens have been used the same materials. Using experimental data, we figured the relationship between wear coefficient and friction coefficient, and the relationship between wear coefficient and friction temperature. Also we combined friction temperature and friction coefficient instead of wear coefficient. We substituted this into wear equation of Archard. The result had been derived a newly wear equation in using dual leaf-spring wear system.

  • This paper develops a mite element model of a polygon mirror scanner motor supported by the sintered bearing and flexible supporting structures to analyze the shock response by using the finite element method and the mode superposition method. The validity of the proposed model is verified by comparing the simulated natural frequencies and shock response with the experimental ones. It investigates the displacement and the stress of the most vulnerable component, i.e. a leaf spring due to shock, and it proposes a robust design of leaf spring of a polygon mirror scanner motor against shock.

판스프링을 사용한 건식마모실험에서 재료경도에 따른 마모거동 (Wear Behavior as Hardness Difference of Material in the Dry Sliding Wear Tests of Using Leaf-Spring)

  • It is shown that the rate of wear can be related to 'index of wear intensity' using a leaf-spring in the disc on disk on wear tests. Since both upper and lower specimens have used the same hardness values, equivalent hardness of 'the index of wear intensity' used the mean hardness value of specimens. This index is derived from the external variables of load, sliding speed and the hardness of the sliding pairs. The wear behavior as the hardness of the sliding elements on the dry wear has been investigated using a disc on disc configuration. The materials of the specimens are used as ten kinds along their hardness. Using experimental data, we figured the relationship between wear rate and index of wear intensity. A newly wear equation had been derived the result using a leaf-spring in disc on disc wear system.

대형트럭에서의 판스프링의 구조해석에 관한 융합 연구 (A Convergent Investigation on the Structural Analysis of Leaf Spring at Large Truck)

  • 본 연구에서는 대형트럭의 판스프링의 개수에 대한 구조 해석을 수행하였다. 변형량은 4가지 모델들이 공히 작게 나왔다. Model A의 응력이 가장 큰 것으로 나타났고 Model D의 응력이 가장 작은 것으로 나타났다. Model A의 최대 응력이 Model D에 비하여 약 1.87배로 크게 나왔고 Model B에 비하여 약 1.52배 정도로 크게 나타났다. Model C와 Model D의 최대응력은 적게 나왔다. Model D가 Model C에 비하여 겹판 스프링을 한 개 더 보강한 효과로 보면 그 강도의 향상의 효과는 작게 나타났다. 따라서 겹판 스프링 3개인 Model C가 설계상 효율적이고 강도면에서도 좋다고 사료된다. 본 연구 결과를 대형트럭에서의 판스프링에 적용함으로서 판스프링의 구조 강도를 평가할 수 있고 그리고 그 결과가 대형트럭에서의 내구성이 있는 판스프링의 설계와 미적인 융합이 될 수 있다고 보인다.

상용차량용 판스프링의 이력특성 구현 (Hysteretic Characteristics of Leaf Springs in Commercial Vehicles)

  • Multi-leaf springs are widely used for a major suspension component in many commercial vehicles. The modeling technique of multi-leaf springs is one of the most difficult problems in suspension modeling as the elements have complicated nonlinear characteristics such as a hysteresis behavior due to the friction. In this paper, hysteretic characteristics with the static and dynamic test are modeled and are simulated with three links and joints in MSC.ADAMS. Simulation results showed good agreements with test results. Using this methodology, it is expected that dynamic characteristics of suspension system with multi-leaf spring can be more accurately evaluated in vehicle dynamics.

다목적 소형 승합차 복합재 판 스프링의 적층 최적화 기법 (Optimal Methodology of a Composite Leaf Spring with a Multipurpose Small Commercial Vans)

  • 본 논문에서는 복합재 판 스프링의 설계 최적화를 위해 유전자 알고리즘을 사용한 적층 최적화 과정을 제시하였다. 다목적 소형 승합 자동차 판 스프링을 유한요소모델로 구성하여 초기 설계를 검증한 이후, 유전자 알고리즘을 통해 복합재료의 적층수와 적층각도를 최적화하는 과정을 기술하였다. 최적화 과정을 통해 판 스프링의 하중 감소과정, 반복수에 따라 강 구조의 해석 결과와 비교하였다. 더불어 유전자 알고리즘을 통해 최적화된 적층 시퀀스를 구조에 적용하여 구조의 건전성을 검증하기 위해 유한요소 모델로 구성하여 안전여유를 계산하였다. GA를 적용할 때, 복합재료 판 스프링의 적층 두께와 적층 각을 획득하였으며, 이는 적절한 강도와 강성으로 최소 무게를 달성하는데 기여한다. 동일한 설계 매개 변수 및 최적화 조건에서 강철된 판 스프링을 복합재 판 스프링으로 교체하면 65.6%의 중량이 감소한다.

  • Leaf springs are widely used as a major suspension component in many commercial vehicles, such as buses, trucks, etc. They have a complex dynamic behavior due to the geometric nonlinear and the contact mechanism between the leaves. The interface conditions between the leaves play a significant role in the global behavior of the comfort and ride of the vehicle system. The paper concentrates on modeling leaf springs and contact frictions between the leaves using a nonlinear finite element approach. A nonlinear load-displacement hysteresis curve for the leaf spring is simulated and its results are compared with test results.

  • The present paper is concerned with the optimal deslgn that the static spring rate of the fiber-reinforcement composite spring is fitted to that of the steel leaf spring. The thickness and w~dth of springs were selected as deslgn variables. And object functions of the regression model were obtained through the analysis with a common analytic program. After regression coefficients were calculated to get functions of the regression model, optimal solutions were calculated with DOT. E-GlassIEpoxy and CarbonIEpoxy were used as fiber reinforcement materials in the design, which were compared and analyzed with the steel leaf spring. It was found that the static spring rate of the optimal model was almost similar to that of the existing spring.

상용차량의 비선형 Hotchkiss 스프링 모델링 (Modeling of Non-linear Leaf Spring for Commercial Vehicle)

  • A Hotchkiss spring has been widely utilized for commercial vehicle. Usually, the Hotchkiss spring has non-linear characteristics, i.e. it has a piecewise spring stiffness as well as hysterisis phenomenon. Therefore, the modeling of the Hotchkiss spring requires many considerations to fulfill satisfactory vehicle kinematic and dynamic relationships. Also, the spring has difficulties in modeling for presenting contact mechanism. In this paper, the modeling technique for the Hotchkiss spring has been descried. The modeling covers non-linear characteristics as well as contact problems for multi-body dynamic simulation. The force-displacement results are compared with experimental and FEM ones. Also, the comparison between three link type leaf spring model and proposed one has been considered in this paper.

Seasonal Variation in Contents of Sugars in Different Parts of Broccoli

  • Seasonal variation in the contents of sugars (fructose, glucose, and sucrose) in the floret, leaf, and stem of broccoli were studied in ten commercial broccoli cultivars. Plants were grown in the spring and fall seasons in 2011. In both seasons, glucose was the major constituent, comprising about 50% of the total sugar content in the floret and leaf tissue of most cultivars, whereas the broccoli stem showed an unusual pattern of accumulation. Sucrose exhibited greater cultivar dependency as well as seasonal variation compared to fructose and glucose in floret and leaf tissues. The floret tissue had a higher total content of sugar in the spring compared to the fall due to an increase in glucose and fructose. However, most of the leaf and stem tissues of broccoli had a higher total sugar content in the fall compared to the spring. Furthermore, stem and leaf tissues possessed a relatively higher total sugar content compared to floret tissue in both seasons. 'Grandeur' broccoli contained a significantly greater amount of total sugar in both floret and leaf tissues in both seasons, whereas 'YuDoRi No.1' broccoli exhibited the highest total content of sugar in stem tissue. At overall, the results showed significant influences of genotype, plant part and growing season on sugar content in broccoli.
