고전압 시스템을 위한 초고용량 축전지 모듈 특성 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Supercapacitpr Module for High Voltage System)

  • Supercapacitors as novel energy storage devices between conventional capacitors and batteries, with more specific capacitance and energy densities than conventional capacitors and more power densities than batteries are to be used in many fields. Supercapacitor is regarded as one of good alternatives for meeting the requirement of market with excellent power performance and high cyclability. This paper deals with the characteristics of charge and discharge behavior of supercapacitor module for developing 42V hybrid energy storage system with lead acid battery and supercapacitor in order to adopt to 42V power net for vehicle. An analysis performed in this paper indicates that supercapacitor storage system may be cost effective for high cycle applications.

흡연과 음주가 연취급 근로자들의 건강수준에 미치는 영향 (The effect of smoking and drinking habit on the health status of lead workers)

  • To investigate the effect of smoking and drinking habit on the health status in lead using industries, 2,785 male workers in lead using industries (7 storage battery industries, 7 secondary smelting and related industries, and 4 primary metal and other manufacturing industries) were selected for this study. This study was carried out as a part of periodic health examination. Selected study variables were zinc protoporphyrin in whole blood (ZPP), SGOT and SGPT for laboratory test. Questionnaire for lead related symptoms and smoking and drinking habit was provided to all the workers and filled up by themselves and reconfirmed by physician. The results obtained were as follows; 1. The overall smoking and drinking rate of study population were 69.8% and 73.6%, respectively. While the smoking and drinking rate of storage battery workers were 68.8% and 72.3%, those of secondary smelting industries and other industries were 66.0% & 66.4% and 74.6 & 80.3% respectively. 2. While the mean values of blood ZPP of lead exposed workers were significantly higher than other group, those of SGOT of storage battery workers were significant higher than other worker. But there were no differences of mean values of other variables. 3. Smoking habit did not affect on the mean value of blood ZPP of workers in special health examination group, but there were significant differences of blood ZPP and SGOT between drinker and non-drinker. 4. Symptom prevalence of lead exposure were higher in drinking and smoking group than non-drinking and non-smoking group. 5. In multiple regression analysis of the total lead related symptoms, blood ZPP, SGOT, and SGPT as dependent variable, respectively, and age, work duration, blood ZPP, pack year and amount of alcohol drinking as independent variables, work duration, pack year, amount of alcohol drinking, age contributed to total symptoms; and age, work duration, pack year contributed to blood ZPP; and age, amount of alcohol drinking, work duration contributed to SGOT; and pack year contributed to SGPT.

풍력발전의 전력저장을 위한 충전회로 (A Charging Circuit for the Power Stotage of Wind Power Generation)

  • Many generating units can be in parallel connection to one battery and inverter. However, one of the biggest problems we encountered is that wind speed is fluctuated sharply in accordance with the unstable weather conditions. To solve this problem, we need energy storage equipment such as storage lead-acid battery. We design a system and analyze its modeling so that it supplies a stable power to the load through DC-AC inverter part. In this paper, we applied dual step-up/down buck-boost converter and dual high-frequency half-bridge converter to the proposed system. These converters are used to store energy in the battery regardless of the change of the wind speed. The operation process of two proposed types of converters for high-power battery charging is discussed along with simulation and experimental result. We design a charging circuit which is applicable in the actual wind power generation system for 30kw and confirm the circuit's validity.

  • This paper relates to a study on the economic of electrical storage device for supplying power in sunless days, in the stand alone PV/Wind hybrid system, which it is applied to separate houses. In a photovoltaic/wind hybrid power system used in a separate house, when only the battery is used in sunless days, the capacity of the battery is become larger. For example, as in recent days, if cloudy days are frequent due to anomaly climate, it is difficult to supply power stably by only the battery based upon pre-estimated sunless days. Accordingly, in order to supply stably power of new renewable energy such as solar to any separate houses, it is preferable to reduce the capacity of battery by decreasing the number of sunless days when estimating the capacity of battery and to drive the small generator for compensation of the power shortage.

에너지 저장장치를 이용한 마이크로그리드의 구현 (Implementation of Microgrid using Energy Storage System)

  • This paper deals with implementation of the laboratory-scale microgrid using energy storage system. Also, this paper develops a simulation model of the microgrid with same parameters on the laboratory-scale microgrid using PSCAD/EMTDC. The experimental results show good agreement with the simulation results. This shows the validity of the simulation model. A valve regulated lead acid (VRLA) battery is used to store energy. Energy storage system with fast response is able to maintain power quality of sensitive load within the microgrid.

  • 기존의 중앙집중식 발전의 탈피와 에너지 전환 및 환경문제 인식에 의해 신재생에너지 기반의 분산발전시스템에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 에너지저장장치로 납축전지를 사용하는 PV 및 WT 기반의 분산발전시스템을 모사하여 최적용량을 선정하였다. 기존 발전원으로 CHP를 채택하였으며 시스템의 최적용량은 기존발전원의 운전상황(전부하/부분부하)에 따라 MOGA를 통해 도출하였다. 또한 동일한 배터리 용량에서 배터리 충전방식이 달라지면 배터리의 수명이 달라지는 것을 확인하였다. 따라서 경제적이고 안정적인 전력수급을 위해서는 배터리 충전방식을 고려한 분산발전시스템의 용량선정이 수행되어야 한다.

액화 공기 에너지 저장 기술(LAES)의 경제성 분석 (Economic Evaluation of Liquid Air Energy Storage (LAES) System)

  • Liquid air energy storage (LAES) using gas liquefaction has attracted considerable attention because of its mature technology, high energy density, few geographical constraints, and long life span. On the other hand, LAES has not yet been commercialized and is being developed recently. Therefore, few studies have performed an economic analysis of LAES. In this study, the levelized cost of electricity was calculated and compared with that of other energy storage systems. As a result, the levelized cost of electricity of LAES was $371/MWh. This is approximately $292/MWh, $159/MWh, $118/MWh, and $3/MWh less than that of the LiCd battery, VRFB battery, Lead-acid battery, and NaS battery. In addition, the cost was approximately $62/MWh and $195/MWh more than that of Fe-Cr flow battery and PHS. Sensitivity analysis of the levelized cost of electricity according to the main economic factors was performed, and economic uncertainty analysis was performed through a Monte-Carlo simulation. The cumulative probability curve showed the levelized cost of electricity of LAES, reflecting price fluctuations in the air compressor cost, electricity cost, and standing reserve hourly fee.

  • 나트륨 유황전지(NAS)는 대용량 에너지 저장시스템(energy storage system, ESS) 중 하나로서, 최근 풍력에너지, 태양에너지, 해양에너지 등 그린재생에너지의 사용증가로 ESS에 대한 수요가 급증함에 따라 NAS 전지에 대한 관심이 고조되고 있다. NAS 전지는 에너지 밀도가 높고(납 축전지밀도의 3배), 사이클 수명이 길고, 자가방전이 없어 대용량 전력저장 시스템에 적합하다. NAS 전지는 양극으로 황(Sulfur), 음극으로 나트륨(Na), 고체전해질 및 분리막으로 ${\beta}$"-알루미나($Al_2O_3$)로 구성되어 있고, 양극 활물질인 황은 부도체이기 때문에 도전재인 탄소섬유(carbon felt)에 함침시켜 양극으로 사용해야 함으로, 양극재 구성 및 특성은 전지성능에 상당한 영향을 미치게 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 NAS 전지의 구성, 다황화나트륨($Na_2S_x$, 방전생성물) 및 양극재의 특성, 전지 성능에 미치는 영향인자들에 대해서 알아보고자 한다.

  • The object of this paper is to optimize the battery system for supplying stably power in separate house in which a PV-wind hybrid power generation system is applied. In a power system to be used in a stand alone, it is very important to build optimize the electrical storage system and to utilize it for supplying stably output voltage when there is a shortage of the power generation capacity or there is no sunshine, or when power is to be supplied with a load. This paper provides an optimized method to evaluate capacity of battery by analyzing advantages and disadvantages of the existing battery evaluating method being used in each company for supplying stably power in separate house utilizing the new renewable energy such as a light of the sun.
