레이저 스캐닝 및 정상파를 이용한 평판 구조물의 손상탐지 (Damage Detection on Thin-walled Structures Utilizing Laser Scanning and Standing Waves)

  • 본 연구에서는 레이저 스캐닝 및 단일 주파수 정상파 가진과 파수 분석을 통해 구조물의 손상을 탐지하는 기법을 개발하였다. 구조물에 부착된 압전소자를 통해 단일 주파수로 가진하고, 이때 발생한 구조물의 정상상태 응답을 레이저 도플러 속도계와 거울 방향조절 장치를 통해 측정하였다. 구조물의 결함을 탐지하기 위해 정상상태 응답에서 파수 필터링을 이용한 손상 탐지 기법을 개발 및 적용하였다. 부식결함이 발생한 알루미늄 평판과 층간 분리가 발생한 복합재료 구조물에 대한 손상 탐지를 수행하여 손상의 위치와 크기를 정확히 파악할 수 있었다.

시간평균 ESPI를 이용한 디스크 브레이크의 진동 모드 측정에 관한 연구 (A Study on Vibration mode Shape Measurement of Disk brake by Using Time-Averaged ESPI)

  • Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry(ESPI) is a powerful tool to measure the vibration mode shape and resonance frequency for modal analysis. As for ESPI this method is very suited for full-field measurement of objects in industrial areas because the interferograms are recorded with a video camera and evaluated in real-time with a computer. In this study We performed experiments at the same constraint conditions as disk brake of the practical vehicle as far as possible and obtained the resonance frequencies and vibration mode shapes by using time-averaged ESPI at once. Finally to assure the expetimental results by time-averaged ESPI we also compare those with results obtained by Laser Doppler Vibrometer and obtained good agreement.

솔레노이드 코일을 이용한 전자 마이크로 펌프의 제작 및 시험 (Fabrication and Test of an Electromagnetic Micropump using Solenoid Coil)

  • This paper presents the fabrication and test of a micropump with an electromagnetic actuator and a pair of aluminum flap valves. The actuator consists of a solenoid coil, a permanent magnet and an actuator diaphragm. The actuator diaphragm is fabricated by the spin coating of silicone rubber. The valve are passive ones and are fabricated by micromachining. The deflection of the fabricated actuator diaphragm is measured with a laser vibrometer. The deflection of the actuator diaphragm is proportional to the input current. The measured deflection of the fabricated diaphragm is $400 \mum$,/TEX> when the input is 118 mApp, and the cut-off frequency is 50 Hz. The maximum flow rate of the fabricated micropump with the electromagnetic actuator is about 5$0 \muell/min$ at 5 Hz when the input current and the duty ratio of the square was are 118 mApp and 50%, respectively.

PC의 진동/소음 저감을 위한 쿨링팬의 동흡진장치 및 절연장치의 개발 (A Development of the Vibration Absorber and Damper for Vibration and Noise Reduction of the Computer)

  • The purpose of this study is to reduce the vibration of the computer by developing the vibration absorber and damper. The eccentricity of the cooling fan causes the vibration of the computer. We designed the material properties of the vibration absorber by FEM model within operation frequencies of the cooling fan. We experiment the overall analysis and system analysis. The vibration of cooling fan is measured by using a laser vibrometer. The result shows that the proposed vibration absorber and damper reduce the vibration of the computer.

초음파 접합용 바혼의 설계 (Design of Bar Horn for Ultrasonic Bonding)

  • The bar horn is designed to increase uniformity of the displacement on the output face through simulation and experiments. Three-dimensional modal analysis is conducted using the finite element method to calculate the vibration mode and displacement on the output face, and the design of experiment (DOE) technique is employed to determine the optimum dimensions of the groove and slot so that the high amplitude uniformity of the bar horn is produced. Displacement of the bar horn was measured using the Laser Doppler Vibrometer (LDV), and the experimental results show good agreements with the predicted results. High uniformity of the bar horn is achieved with the dimensions of the groove and slot determined using the design equations.

  • This paper describes the characteristics of polycrystalline 3C-SiC doubly clamped beam micro resonators. The polycrystalline 3C-SiC doubly clamped beam resonators with 60 ~ 100 ${\mu}m$ lengths, $10\;{\mu}m$ width, and $0.4\;{\mu}m$ thickness were fabricated using a surface micromachining technique. Polycrystalline 3C-SiC micro resonators were actuated by piezoelectric element and their fundamental resonant frequency was measured by a laser vibrometer in vacuum at room temperature. For the 60 ~ 100 ${\mu}m$ long cantilevers, the fundamental frequency appeared at 373.4 ~ 908.1 kHz. The resonant frequencies of doubly clamped beam with lengths were higher than simulated results because of tensile stress. Therefore, polycrystalline 3C-SiC doubly clamped beam micro resonators are suitable for RF MEMS devices and bio/chemical sensor applications.

  • Nonlinear vibration characteristics of a piezoelectric-type micro actuator used for hard disk drives are experimentally studied. The nonlinear characterisitics include hysteresis, superharmonic resonance, jump phenomenon, and shifting of natural frequencies. The vibration modes and frequencies of the commercial actuator of the Hutchinson's Magnum series are measured using a laser vibrometer. From harmonic excitation to the PZT acturator, we observe interesting hysteresis patterns with 3 times input frequency. It is shown that the micro actuator has the typical 3 times superhamonic resonances coupled to the first torsional and sway modes of the suspension.

회의실 유리창 진동음의 명료도 분석 (Speech Intelligibility Analysis on the Vibration Sound of the Window Glass of a Conference Room)

  • Speech intelligibility is investigated on a conference room-window glass coupled system. Using MLS(Maximum Length Sequency) signal as a sound source, acceleration and velocity responses of the window glass are measured by accelerometer and laser doppler vibrometer. MTF(Modulation Transfer Function) is used to identify the speech transmission characteristics of the room and window system. STI(Speech Transmission Index) is calculated by using MTF and speech intelligibility of the room and the window glass is estimated. Speech intelligibilities by the acceleration signal and the velocity signal are compared and the possibility of the wiretapping is investigated. Finally, intelligibility of the conversation sound is examined by the subjective test.

구조 인텐서티 법을 이용한 에어컨 실외기의 제진재 적용 (Damping patch placement on outdoor unit of air-conditioner by using structural intensity technique)

  • 에어컨 실외기의 구조 방사 소음을 줄이기 위해 제진재를 적용함에 있어 구조 인텐서티(structural intensity)법을 사용할 수 있다. 에어컨 실외기 각 패널의 법선 방향의 속도는 레이져 스케닝 바이브로미터(laser scanning vibrometer)에 의해 측정되며, 측정된 데이터는 공간 주파수 영역(k-domain)으로 변환하여 구조 인텐서티 계산에 필요한 공간 미분값이 구해진다. 이러한 과정을 통하여 계산된 구조 인텐서티 중 반동 전단 구조인텐서티(reactive shearing structural intensity)값이 가장 높은 부분에 사각형 형상의 제진재를 적용한다. 본 논문은 패널에 비해 그 크기가 작은 제진재의 적용으로 에어컨 실외기의 구조 방사 소음을 줄일 수 있음을 보여준다.

잉크젯 작동 상태 진단 및 모니터링 (Diagnosis and monitoring of inkjet operating conditions)

  • A self-sensing circuit for piezo inkjet has been designed in order to monitor the operating condition during printing. In order to verify the circuit, both ink droplet images from strobe LED and vibration signals from the laser vibrometer were measured and compared with self-sensing signal. Experimental results show that self-sensing signal was effective in detecting the pressure wave change due to the bubble trapped in inkjet printhead.
