The urban ecosystem, unlike the natural ecosystem, has been affected by the urban environment, so the existences of normal creatures have been threatened and eventually the stability has declined to consist of those that have adapted to such. Therefore, by creating a list of such organisms, their number of variety can be found out and their ecological distinction can be understood. Because flora is known to be an ecological index reflecting region's effects of human and societal environments, weather, and climates, it is a useful method of finding out the ecological position and distinctiveness of that region. The study site is part of watershed at Yangjae Stream, Kahngnam-ku, Seoul. In this study, the difference of flora in each land use type are investigated by plant identification. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the city's plant surviving environment, and eventually to contribute to the restoration of urban green spaces by finding out the plants which are appropriate for the corresponding environment. After doing the study, it was found that the urban forest is the most stable urban ecosystem while the urban park is seriously disturbed, and ecologically unstable. The urban stream is also disturbed continuously.

The purpose of this study is to develop riverbed techniques to activating ecological function of hyporheic zone. Hyporheic zone maybe simply defined as an active eco-tone between surface water and groundwater, which facilitates to exchange water, nutrients and aquatic habitat occur in response to variation in discharge and bed geomorphology. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of an applied riverbed technique for two years since its installation in the hyporheic zone. The experimental riverbed technique has been implemented on Anyang stream penetrating Anyang city in Gyunggi province. The dimension of the installed structure is 5.0 m in width, 46 m in length. Bottom layer is filled with rip-rap covered with gabion. After the implementation of the technique, the study conducts follow-up monitoring in two years of between 2011 and 2012. The results of follow-up monitoring for two years are as follows:1) In Hydro geomorphic process, the riverbed technique maintains hydraulic stability despite of several flood events in 2011, 2012. 2) After transformation to form pool-and-riffle habitat, for aquatic community composed of freshwater fish, macro invertebrate, and attached algae, the species diversity and population gradually increased. 3) The riverbed technique achieved desired effect on enhancement of ecological function in hyporheic zone.

The purpose of this study is to examine the ecologically suitable restoration characteristics in riparian slopes constructed by continuous fiber soil reinforced system (Geofiber system) which does not contain the concrete materials. The findings are as follows : (1) as the tested soil was not washed away by rainfalls and floods, Geofiber could replace the concrete wall and gravity stone net bag technique from the civil engineering structural point of view; (2) after one year of the construction, it was monitored that land cover ratio was 80-90%, which indirectly shows that vegetation is safely maintained; and (3) at the same time, 5-8 flora species were found in each test grid and more importantly dominant species have been moved from alien species to native herbaceous plants. From the above findings, Geofiber system is recommendable to restore the riparian slopes in terms of stability and natural landscape points. However, a long term monitering is needed considering flora succession process in a given environment as well as suitability tests should be carried out through the comparative investigations in other environments.

This study measured the shearing resistance of the roots of the Sasamorpha purpurascens, Miscanthus sinensis, Lespedeza cyrtobotrya by the tensile strength gained through their individual tensile test for the Root Reinforcement Model. The results to have measured this stress by experiment are as follows. 1) The mean root diameter of the Lespedeza cyrtobotrya used for this experiment was 2.19mm and the mean tensile stress was calculated as $929.489kgf/cm^2$. As for the Sasamorpha purpurascens, its mean root diameter was 1.727mm, and the mean tensile stress was $292.069kgf/cm^2$. And as for the Miscanthus sinensis, its mean root diameter was 0.814mm, and the mean tensile stress was $696.947kgf/cm^2$. And so, it was grasped that Lespedeza cyrtobotrya was highest in tensile stress. 2) ${\Delta}Cr(kg/cm^2)$ of the shearing resistance calculated by estimating the areal ratio of roots at $10^{-3}$ is $1.069kg/cm^2$ in Lespedeza cyrtobotrya, $0.336kg/cm^2$ in Sasamorpha purpurascens, and $0.801kg/cm^2$ in Miscanthus sinensis. That is, Lespedeza cyrtobotrya has the highest shearing resistance. However, since a precise analysis of the controlled factors of the slope analyses are demanded for more accurate dynamic analyses, the future demands a study on this.
Children's home accidents are less common than in the past. However, safety accidents continue to occur due to carelessness of the parents. To solve the problem, there are fall prevention screens that can withstand the weight of children, and safety railings that can be adjusted directly to solve the problem. However, these have disadvantages such as stability, convenience, and damage to the landscape. In this paper, we developed an automatic safety accident prevention fence system that can be installed on a window using Arduino, eliminating the disadvantages of previous safety accident prevention products. This system measures the height of a person standing in front of the fence and the distance between the person and the fence with two infrared sensors and moves automatically using a motor. In addition, in accordance with the U-Healthcare society, users can check the temperature, humidity, and fine dust concentration of the external environment through mobile. Each information can be obtained through DHT 11 sensor, fine dust concentration sensor, and Bluetooth connected toArduino. These can help the user's health care.
The atmospheric turbulence characteristics measured at a meteorological station in northwest part of the Czech Republic are presented for selected time periods in the year 2017. The terrain of this region is influenced by surface coal mining and the related industry. The datasets used in this study were measured using four ultrasonic anemometers installed on an 80 m high meteorological mast at heights of 20, 40, 60 and 80 m, respective. From the primary high-frequency datasets, time intervals in order of hours were selected and integral turbulence characteristics (ITCs), turbulence intensities and turbulence spectra were analyzed. The time intervals were selected with respect to atmospheric stability parameter, known as Obukhov number. We concentrated on the days with higher wind velocity and neutral atmospheric stratification. The wind characteristics investigated in this study include the wind speed, wind direction and its histograms, turbulence intensity, friction velocity and wind power spectra. The ITCs and spectral characteristics were compared with the theoretical models and values from the literature. The resulting ITCs showed the values for urban locations similar to those found in other studies and can be used in practical design. The computed turbulence spectra followed the shape of theoretical spectra of turbulence for both horizontal and vertical velocity components. The computed integral length scales have shown to be unsuitable for further use due to their highly scattered values.

This study was conducted to improve the stability of cut slopes of forest roads in granitic weathered soil areas. The study area is a national forest road (road length 28.48 km) in Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do. After data collection, a statistical analysis was performed using IBM SPSS (Ver. 26.0). First, the correlation analysis showed that structure, slope position, soil erosion, slope, and aspect (N, S) were correlated with vegetation coverage (p < 0.05). Elapsed years, slope distance, and aspect (E, W) were found to have no correlation with vegetation coverage. (p > 0.05) Second, one-way ANOVA and Kruskal-Wallis test results showed that vegetation coverage was worse when the slope was located at the top or the middle of the slope than at the bottom of the slope. In addition, the site with sheathing and gabions showed good vegetation coverage when compared with the site without structures. In the case of soil erosion, areas with severe damage and moderate damage showed worse vegetation coverage. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the slope angle of the cut soil of the granitic weathered soil area from 1 : 0.5 - 1.2 to 1 : 0.8 - 1.5. In addition, structures such as sheathing and gabions should be installed on granitic weathered land.
Climatic change of the late-Quaternary period has been record-ed in the loess deposits of the central Great plains and the record of such change is extractable using a number of approaches and parameters. The stratigraphy of loess deposits which have been investigated on Fort Riley exhibits the same sequence of loess units and intercalated buried soils as is found elsewhere in the re-gion but adds detail unique to the reservation Upland late-Qua-ternary composite stratigraphy preserved on the reservation con-sists of the basal Sangamon soil of the Last interglacial(c. 120-110ka), Gilman Canyon Formation(c. >40 -20ka), Peoria loess(c. 20 -10ka) Brady soil(c. 11 -10ka) Bignell loess(c. 9-\ulcornerka). and mod-ern surface soil. Application of magnetic analyses has provided proxy data sets that represent a time series of climatically regulated pedogenesis/weathering and botanical composition. magetic data have yielded an impression of the variation in climate from Sangamon time to the late Holocene through a reconstruction of the history of pedogenesis/weathering. Sangamon soil formation dominated the reservation durin the Last interglacial as indicated by magnetic parameters. During Gil-man Canyon time loess influx was usually sufficiently slow as to permit pedogenesis which appears to have been at a maximum twice during that time. Warm season grasses were important dur-ing soil formation but diminished in importance during the peri-ods of more rapid loess fall which were cooler and perhaps wet-ter. Peoria loess fall a function of the deterioration of climate during the last Glacial Maximum thinly blanketed the reservation with thickest accumulations occurring to the north-west(Bala Cemetery site)proximal to the source region. Long-term surface stability did not apparently occur within Peoria time but short-term stability may be indicaed by the presence of thin weathering zones(incipient soils) in the Peoria loess. Re-gional landscape stability prevailed during the environmental shift at the Pleistocene/Holocene transition resulting in forma-tion of the well expressed Brady soil. One or more weak soils developed in the Bignell loess as it ac-cumulated. A notable feature of the Bignell loess is the appear-ance of the Altithermal dry period: the loess experienced little weathering and was dominated by warm season grasses until the latter of the Holocene.
This study aims to present reference data necessary for developing evaluation indicators to analyze the actual resilience of purchased land by investigating the factors that affect the restoration of the purchased land in the riparian zone and quantitatively calculating its importance. The main results are as follows. Firstly, this study identified 34 potential resilience factors through a literature review encompassing domestic and overseas studies and derived seven ecological responsiveness factors, six physical responsiveness factors, and four managerial responsiveness factors through the Delphi survey. Secondly, reliability analysis and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) analysis derived the following important factors: structural stability of the vegetation restored in the purchased land, species diversity of wildlife, structural stability of wildlife, the size of restored wetland after purchase, number of plant species, and the land cover status adjacent to the purchased land. The study results are expected to be helpful information for ecological restoration and management plans reflecting reinforcing factors for resilience at each stage of land purchase, restoration, and management.

In Korea, there has been no revegetation applicable standard for slopes formed by road construction work up to now, so revegetation work has been done using mostly foreign varieties in the manner of early revegetation. However, foreign varieties have some shortcomings; for example, they tend to be dried to death after construction work. Besides, due to the rift in the supporting soil, these revegetated varieties are often displaced from the slopes. Thus, the Ministry of Construction & Transportation on July, 2005 established revegetation standard on the slopes suited for the natural eco-system of Korea and organized positively recommending directions for using self-sewn plants growing near the slopes in overall consideration of soil, weather, regional conditions. The locations specified in this direction are the slopes at the road construction jobsite like the expressway, highways, and local roads. In addition, the Ministry's standard and directions stipulated that damaged slopes's natural environment and eco-system due to various road construction work should be restored, and thus a feeling of stability and pleasantness should be provided to road users as well. Also, the Ministry tried to select seed plants and revegetation measures suited for surrounding environment to put the environment-friendly slope revegetation measures into practice through the test revegetation work in order to prevent illegal construction practices and to improve the quality of revegetation. According to the direction, revegetation districts aimed at the slopes are divided into three ones in consideration of weather environment, regional environment, and forest environment as follows : national territory's core ecological green-land based district centering on the Taebaek Mountains; coastal ecosystem district including islands off the coast; inland eco-system district. The combination of revegetation plants according to environment revegetation districts, should be executed by dividing into herb-oriented type, woody plant colony type, and bio-species versatility restoration type, and the selection of seeding plants should be done in the presence of a supervisor and through test construction results and technology counseling from a specialist in natural eco-system restoration and revegetation measure seed combination standard according to environment revegetation districts. This direction will be executed in the manner of monitoring until the yea 2008 and 2009 it will be finalized and enforced on December, 2009.
