통합 뉴스룸 도입 이후 뉴스생산 노동과정의 변화: CBS 통합뉴스룸 사례연구 (Changes in News-Production Labor Process Since The Introduction of Convergent Newsroom : A Case Study on The CBS Convergent Newsroom)

  • 디지털 컨버전스의 기술 혁신은 언론 부문에서 핵심적인 노동이라고 할 수 있는 기자노동에도 막대한 영향을 주고 있다. 노동과정론에 따르면, 자본주의적 생산양식에서 기술혁신으로 인해 노동자들은 노동에 대한 통제력을 상실해가면서 탈숙련화의 과정을 겪어 왔고, 경영진들은 억압적인 노동조건을 은폐하고 노동자들을 더욱 효율적으로 통제하기 위해 이데올로기적, 정치적 장치들을 도입해 왔다. 이러한 문제의식 위에서 본 연구는 뉴스룸 통합의 기술혁신이 기자노동의 숙련도에 어떠한 영향을 주는지, 또 경영진들이 기자들을 통제하기 위해 사용하는 전략이 무엇인지를 CBS 통합뉴스룸의 사례를 통해 실증적으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 통합뉴스룸 도입으로 인해 기자들은 숙련노동에 대한 통제력을 상실해가면서 탈숙련화되고 있었다. 또한, 경영진들은 새로운 뉴스생산관행, 가족주의 노사문화에 대한 노동자들의 동의를 획득해 나갔으며, 내부노동시장 분절화를 통해 기업권력의 강화와 노동사회의 고립화 전략을 취하고 있었다.

임산(臨産) 의론(醫論)과 의방(醫方)에 대한 문헌고찰(文獻考察) - 불수산(佛手散)을 중심으로 - (A Literature Review about Labor theory and practice - Focused on Bulsusan(佛手散) -)

  • Object : From the ancient times, the importance of childbirth has been well recognized by Korean Traditional Medicine. Numeral methods have been developed to ease the labor process and keep the mother and child healthy from conception to labor. Bulsusan(佛手散) is one of the main remedies to healthy labor in KTM, both widely known and applied as well. Method : This paper examines the labor theory and practice of KTM focused on Bulsusan which is composed of Angelica gigas Nakai(當歸) and Cnidium officinale MAKINO(川芎). Result : 1. From the ancient times until the Q$\bar{i}$ng period, much attention was placed to the handling of the placenta, as it was conceived as bearing much relation to the health of the mother and her fate, and thus included in the labor process. 2. There was a recognition of the 'birth pulse[離經脈]', an intense change in the pulse that presents itself prior to somatic signs of labor. 3. There were numerous prescriptions that were administered beforehand to ease the process. They are mostly constituted with medicinals that nurture Gi(氣) and stimulate its flow, which in turn makes the fetus firm and reduces the volume, easing the labor process. 4. The medical practice of labor-induction was called 'Choesaeng(催生)'. The prescriptions which functioned as such were mostly constituted with blood medicinals such as Angelica gigas Nakai and Cnidium officinale MAKINO, those which nurture both Gi(氣) and blood, and medicinals that physically lubricate the labor pathway such as honey, oil and Talcum(滑石). Conclusion : Bulsusan can be used in most problems concerning pregnancy and labor, and cases of emergency blood loss due to injury. The term 'bulsu(佛手)' infers to the medical ability of the great doctor who takes care of major blood-loss situations resulting from discharge of dead fetus, cesarean delivery, etc. The prescription name takes after this meaning, as it deals with similar conditions in its effect.

  • The purpose of this study was to conduct the review of female labor suply, and thus, to provide useful theoretical and empirical frameworks for future studies related to female labor supply. Based on the theory of the allocation of time, the process of individual labor supply was systematically reviewed. Participation Probit/Logit, Tobit, and Selection B;ias Corrected Regression were considered in estimating the function of female labor supply which modifies the selection bias. Based on the previous empirical results, wage rate, asset income, husband's income, the level of eduction, and child-related variables such as the presence of child and the number of children might be considered for the empirical specification of female labor supply.

Linking Personality, Emotional Labor and Employee Well-being: The Role of Job Autonomy

  • This study aimed to examine the cause and consequence of emotional labor strategies based on the emotional labor framework. To investigate the boundary condition of the current research model, the study proposed that job autonomy would moderate the effects of emotional labor on employees' well-being. To achieve the purpose of the study, it was first tested whether neuroticism and extroversion of employees predicted the focal outcomes (i.e., burnout and work engagement) via distinct emotional labor strategies. Second, the moderation effects of job autonomy were tested for each emotional labor strategy in predicting the focal outcomes. Third, the conditional indirect effects of job autonomy on the mediation process were examined. The results revealed that surface acting partially mediated the relationship between neuroticism and burnout, whereas deep acting fully mediated the relationship between extraversion and work engagement. Regarding the moderating effects of job autonomy, it significantly moderated the relationship between surface acting and burnout and between deep acting and work engagement. In addition, from the moderated mediation effects, the conditional indirect effects of job autonomy were significant. Finally, theoretical and practical implications are discussed and limitations and future research directions were suggested.

신국제노동분업의 재평가 (The New International Division of Labor:Re-evaluation)

  • As an exit to solve the economic depression of the development countries in the early twentieth century, the 'old international division of labor' developed. The economic crisis(i.e., under-consumption crisis) was due to the absence of the mode of regulation compatible with the extensive regime of accumulation(i.e., "Fordist" regime). The crisis was solved by the state intervention through the creation on institutions in order to increase the level of consumption. Until the late 1960s when "high Fordism" reached(i.e., a harmonious relation between the monopoly mode of regulation and the intensive accumulation of capital), the developed core countries enjoyed a remarkable economic growth. The external market was not a necessity for the economic growth because there were increases in labor productivity and proportional increases in real wages and thus increases in consumption level. In the 1970s, however, the core faced with economic crisis again. Due to the breakdown of the postwar "Fordist" regime of capital accumulation and the post 1973 world depression, the core needed the Third World as a solution for their internal and international economic crisis. Thus the 'new international division of labor'(NIDL) arose. The "Fordist" method of production(i.e., the divisions of production process) led to the territorial division of labor and to the detailed division of labor. The aim of the NIDL is to exploit reserve armies of labor on a world scale and thus to reduce production costs. According to the NIDL model, the Third World countries have been developing by the core countries' investment on mainly labor-intensive industries and thus have been playing an important role in the global economy. And the NIDL theorists argue that multinational corporations have increasingly invested in the Third World nations and contributed to the economic growth in those regions. Tables presented in the paper show that the global trend since the 1970s does not follow the argument exactly as the NIDL theorists predicted. On the contrary, the core countries focus on developing technology, adopting the automation of production process, and trading within the core countries rather than on investing in the periopheral countries. The continuing investment of multinational corporations into the periphery is not because of cheap labor force but because of the market potentials in the regions. Majority of corporations of the core tries to reduce production costs by investing in technological development more intensively and also by changing regional strategies (i.E., investment from metropolitan areas to medium - or small - size cities, focusing on agglomeration economy, boosting regional diversification, etc.) within their own countries. 구조조정기 노사분쟁의 사례비교연구: 현대자동차와 발전회사의 분규를 중심으로 (Comparative Study of Labor Disputes in the Period of Restructuring: the Cases of Hyundai Motor and Power Generation Companies)

  • 이 논문에서는 구조조정을 둘러싼 두 개 기업(현대자동차와 발전회사)의 노사분규 사례를 중심으로 교섭행위론의 관점에서 그 발생 배경, 노사 쟁점과 교섭 과정, 그리고 분규양태 및 수습 결과에 대해 분석하고 있다. 현대자동차와 발전회사의 노사분규에서는 정부 및 정치권의 개입을 통한 타율적인 분규사태 수습, 노사 상호간의 높은 불신과 배제적 교섭태도, 합의도출이 불가능한 노사의 교섭요구안, 그리고 노사분규의 사후적인 학습효과 결여 등과 같은 특징적 공통점이 발견되고 있다. 이 사례비교 연구를 통해 국내 기업 차원의 노사관계가 노사불신 $\rightarrow$ 교섭요구의 이해상충 $\rightarrow$ 배제적인 교섭태도 $\rightarrow$ 적대적 분쟁 경험으로 이어지는 퇴행적인 순환 과정을 통해 노사갈등 구도를 확대 고착화하고 있는 것을 확인하게 된다. 결론적으로, 노사관계 혁신의 단초를 마련하기 위해 노사갈등이 확대재생산되는 악순환을 노사협력의 선순환으로 대체하려는 정책적 노력이 노 사 정, 그리고 언론에 의해 기울여져야 한다는 점을 제언하고 있다.

한국 산업화의 이중구조 (A Dualistic Development in Korean Industrialization)

  • 신고전주의 학자들은 한국의 산업화 과정이 '노동잉여' 모델에 따르고 있다고 주장해 왔다. 이 모델은 개발도상국들의 경제발전은 무한한 값 싼 노동력이 제조업 부문으로 이전되면서 진행되고, 따라서 산업화의 성공을 위해서는 노동집약적 기술이 사용되어야 한다는 점을 강조하고 있다. Fei와 Ranis는 일본의 초기 산업화 단계(1887-1915)에서 일본이 노동집약적 기술을 사용하였고 이는 일본의 경제발전을 이끌었다고 주장한다. 이에 본 논문은 한국 산업화 과정이 과연 이 모델에 기인하고 있는 지를 밝히고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 이의 검증을 위하여 Kelly와 Williamson이 고안한 신고전주의 이중모델의 기본 틀이 사용되었다. 이 모델 하에서 연산일반균형 (CGE) 방식을 통해 한국 산업화 기간 중 (1965-1992) 추정된 주요 경제변수와 실제 역사적 수치를 비교해 보았다. 검증 결과 두 수치 간에 큰 차이가 나타남을 확인하였는바 따라서 한국의 산업화 과정은 시장의 힘에 기초한 비교우위 생성의 결과라는 신고전주의 가설이 적용되지 않는다는 결론에 이르게 되었다.

한의학 출산생리(出産生理)의 기경팔맥론(奇經八脈論) 적용에 대한 고찰 (A Study on the Application of Eight Extra Meridians Theory to Birth Physiology of Korean Medicine)

  • Subject : The application of eight extra Meridians theory to birth physiology of Korean Medicine. Objective : This study suggests physiological theories in child birth in Korean Medicine. Method : First, the application of eight extra Meridians and extraordinary organs theories to physiology, pathology, pregnancy, postnatal period of women were examined based on major publications and theories of some historical characters. This work provided clues for application of eight extra Meridians theory to birth physiology. Second, the progressing birth physiology of modern medicine based on the importance of the brain function was examined, with which the application of eight extra Meridians and extraordinary organs theories to the birth process showed close relationship. Conclusion : The following conclusions could be drawn. In traditional publications of Korean Medicine, the contents explaining birth physiology with eight extra Meridians theory were scarce, mainly due to the doctor's perception of birth as part of the natural female physiology along with menstruation and pregnancy. However, the contents explaining menstruation, pregnancy, postnatal physiology and pathology through eight extra Meridians theory could be found in classical texts such as Neijing, Jebyeong-wonhuron, Imjeunginameuian. Therefore, it is reasonable to apply the eight extra Meridians theory to the birth process as well. Modern medicine's understanding that pituitary and hypothalamus hormones are in play on womb in the birth process, such as Oxytocin, is in continuous progress. Moreover, the environmental condition that has been traditionally known ideal to the birth process in both the East and West-dark, warm, quiet and secluded-is being confirmed in modern research. The application of eight extra Meridians theory to birth physiology can help to explain these modern information, and thus make them more acceptable.

직무요구- 자원 이론에서의 감정노동전략의 역할 (The Role of Emotional Labor Strategies Based on Job Demand- resource Theory)

  • 본 연구는 Schaufeli & Bakker(2004)의 직무요구-자원 이론을 적용하여 병원이라는 특수한 조직 환경안에서 나타나는 직무요구-자원 변수들이 직무소진과 직무열의에 있어 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴보고 그 과정에서 감정노동전략의 차별적 매개역할을 검증하였다. 연구결과를 살펴보면 직무요구-자원은 직무소진과 직무열의에 있어서 정적인 관계를 나타냈고 직무요구는 표면행동을, 직무자원은 내면행동을 유발하였다. 그러나 내면행동은 직무열의에 정적인 관계를 보였고 표면행동은 기존의 연구결과와 달리 직무소진과 부적인 관계를 나타냈으나 유의하지 않았다. Boostrap을 통해 매개모형을 검증한 결과 두 간접효과가 유의하지 않아 직무요구-자원수준이 직무태도인 직무소진과 직무열의에 미치는 영향에 있어서 감정노동 전략수행의 매개역할은 검증되지 않았다.

  • This study attempted to introduce Fei-Ranis's agricultural development theory and discuss its problem for the rural development of less developed world. Fei-Ranis systematized the development process of Western European economy on the ground of dualism. They divided the process into 4 stages by the concept of 'mode of operation'. Paticularly, they consider agrarian mercantilism as take-off stage and its development were achieved by the increase of trade margin and labor productivity. Especially, they thought that only agricultural revolution through the diffusion of internal exchange economy and construction of tree-star system can accomplish favorable transition to industrial capitalism. In order to promote this agricultural development, less developed world must abolish short-run agricultural policy and propel 'learning by the contact' strategy through 'tree-star system' and 'parellel development.' In reality, it was problematic that the contemporary less developed world is trying, in the course of a few decades, to imitate Western European experience with development over the last four centuries. But Fei-Ranis ignored qualitative aspects of agricultural development by tree-star system and also it is criticized that they considered agricultural development process of less developed world follows only that of Western European classical process.
