Study of Consumer's Interest in Garment Label (Garment Label과 소비자관심에 관한 연구)

  • This study was designed to find out consumer's interest in garments label and to help home economists make interest for the further study in relation between producers and consumers as gap bridger. The questionnair method was used to obtained the data which was made by a result of self-administered questionnair. A size of random sample for this research was 364 subjects. The study found the following: (1) Most of consumers are relatively interested in garments label. The most concious age level was woman of fourty. (2) The most interest factor was label of size, price, fiber contents. brand name, directions and precautions on proper use and care. (3) The order of complaining item after washing was change of size, and color, seam pucker. deformation of collar. and button. (4) Most of consumers do not follow the direction when they clean their garments. (5) The respondents seem to be not understand the garment's informative label.

Multi-Label Classification Approach to Location Prediction

  • In this paper, we propose a multi-label classification method in which multi-label classification estimation techniques are applied to resolving location prediction problem. Most of previous studies related to location prediction have focused on the use of single-label classification by using contextual information such as user's movement paths, demographic information, etc. However, in this paper, we focused on the case where users are free to visit multiple locations, forcing decision-makers to use multi-labeled dataset. By using 2373 contextual dataset which was compiled from college students, we have obtained the best results with classifiers such as bagging, random subspace, and decision tree with the multi-label classification estimation methods like binary relevance(BR), binary pairwise classification (PW).

  • This paper presents the development of a disposable label-free biosensor for bio molecular interaction analysis. Label-free biosensors have advantages of high performance in sensitivity and short detection time. Among various label-free systems, we introduced biosensor with nano grating structures based on white light source and spectrometer. And to develop high efficiency label-free biosensor, we suggest replicating processes satisfying required specification. We also report a system set-up to evaluate the characteristics of phenomenon shown in this biosensor system.

Cluster Label-based ZigBee Mesh Routing Protocol (클러스터 라벨 기반의 지그비 메쉬 라우팅 프로토콜)

  • To solve scalability problem in the ZigBee Network, this paper presents a new mesh routing protocol for ZigBee, called ZigBee Cluster Label (ZiCL). ZiCL divides the ZigBee network into one or more logical clusters and then assigns a unique Cluster Label to each cluster so that it discovers a route of a destination node based on Cluster Label. When a node collects new Cluster Label information of a destination node according to discovery based on Cluster Label, ZiCL encourages nodes with the same Cluster Label to share the information. Consequen tly, it contributes on reducing numerical potential route discoveries and improving network performances such as routing overhead, end-to-end delay, and packet delivery ratio. Simulation results using NS-2 show ZiCL performs well.

A Study on the Consumer Recognithion on the food label of Food label of Food Package in Taegu area (식품포장제의 식품쇼시사항에 대한 소바지로 인식에 관한 연구 -대구지역을 줌심으 로-)

  • This study was to investigate consumer recognition on food label of food package. The results of this study were as follows: 1. when shopping for food, the items considered the most were taste of family, food safety, nutrition and price, respectively. 2. 95.5% of respondents confirmed of the food label of food package when shopping for food. The items confirmed the most on food label were expiration date, manufacture date, manufacturer, food additives and nutrition, respectively. 3. 85.3% of respondents did not satisfy on the food label of food label of food package. 43.6% of respondents demanded food additives more detailed. 28.2% of respondents demanded nutrition information more detailed. 28.2% of respondents demanded food function more detailed. 4. The food which respondents satisfied on food label most were snack '||'&'||' cookies, nuddle, spices, can '||'&'||' bottled food, instant food, processed meat foo, frozen food and imported food, respectively. 5. The group with the most hphrases falling in the top rank was nutrition/calories. The phrases in the nutrition/calories group scored in the top rank were 3 "positive" nutritional characteristics(addition of vitamins, addition of DHA, high dietary fiber) and 5 "nagative" nutritional characteristics(no sugar, low sugar, low calories, low salt and low cholesterol). The group with the most phrases falling in the third rank was ingredient. The phrases in the ingredient scored in the third rank were add of food additives. 6. 55.5% of respondents did not know Recommended Daily Allowance(RDA) information and 61.9% of respondents did not understand the nutrition declaration(content) of food package but 65.7% of resspondents understood the nutrition claim of food package. From these result, respondents were more affected by nutrition claim than by nutrition declaration on food package when shopping for food.ood.

Survey Analysis of Familiarity and Willingness of the Use of Auxiliary Label in Community Pharmacists (근린약국약사를 대상으로 실시한 보조라벨의 이해도 및 사용의지에 관한 조사)

  • Patient counseling is emerging as one of the most important roles of community pharmacists because the information on the standard labeling for the prescription drug is not sufficient to ensure the correct use of the drug. However, excessive workload of the community pharmacists in Korea discourages the provision of the effective patient counseling. The use of auxiliary label may be an efficient tool to help patients correctly use the prescription drug in this situation. As a preliminary study to encourage the use of auxiliary label, we have performed a survey analysis of familiarity and willingness of community pharmacists to use the auxiliary label. About three quarters of the participating community pharmacists have heard of the auxiliary label, however, there was not a single pharmacist who uses the label. Furthermore, only one fifth of the participating pharmacists were willing to use the label if they have to purchase. Therefore, it is recommended that governmental and non-profit organizations such as Korean Pharmaceutical Association educate community pharmacists regarding usefulness of the auxiliary label with focus on enhancing patient compliance and constrainment of healthcare expense.

Performance Evaluation for One-to-One Shortest Path Algorithms (One-to-One 최단경로 알고리즘의 성능 평가)

  • A Shortest Path Algorithm is the method to find the most efficient route among many routes from a start node to an end node. It is based on Labeling methods. In Labeling methods, there are Label-Setting method and Label-Correcting method. Label-Setting method is known as the fastest one among One-to-One shortest path algorithms. But Benjamin[1,2] shows Label-Correcting method is faster than Label-Setting method by the experiments using large road data. Since Graph Growth algorithm which is based on Label-Correcting method is made to find One-to-All shortest path, it is not suitable to find One-to-One shortest path. In this paper, we propose a new One-to-One shortest path algorithm. We show that our algorithm is faster than Graph Growth algorithm by extensive experiments.

Consumer Perspectives on the Informed Consent of Off-label Drug Use in South Korea (의약품의 허가외사용 정보제공과 동의에 대한 일반인 인식)

  • Objective: This study aims to explore the perception of off-label use of medications and the provision of informed consents from the general public's perspective. Methods: The study subjects (n=291) were recruited from 7 cities in Korea through a convenience sampling method. The self-administered questionnaire with 13 items was issued and collected. The study subjects who have had a pharmaceutical job were excluded. Results: The total of 231 respondents was included. Only 23% of respondents were familiar with the concept of off-label use of medications. Eighty five percent of respondents (n=196) stated that the prescribers should explain the off-label use of a medication to their patients. The preferred method for delivering the message was the oral explanation (n=122, 53%), followed by oral explanation plus a pamphlet (n=94, 41%). The safety issue is the most concerned aspect regarding the off-label drug use, also effectiveness and insurance coverage. The majority of respondents (n=217, 94%) agreed that the prescriber should get a consent from patients before prescribing medications for off-label use. They preferred written consent to oral consent (140 vs. 77). Conclusion: This study demonstrated general publics are infrequently aware of off-label use of medications. It is important to raise public awareness of the off-label use of medications and to openly discuss its pros and cons for safe and effective drug therapy.

Implementation of the Label Distribution Protocol for the Multiprotocol Label Switching (Multiprotocol Label Switching System을 위한 Label Distribution Protocol 구현)

  • In this paper, we describe the design and implementation of the Label Distribution Protocol (LDP) for Multiprotocol Label Switching System. We review the implementation issues of LDP that is required to make a gigabit switched router, and propose a detail design of it. We present the data structures and procedures for the LDP as a result, which are based on IETF standard. We present design issues for applying this to carrier class products. The implemented protocol could afford 40,000 entries of the IP routing table that is required for deploying this system to commercialized data network. Furthermore this system implemented using the standard API of Unix, as a result, it has portability. By implementing LDP based on the international standard and these implementation issues, we expect that the implemented LDP will be interoperable with other commercialized products. We prove the validity of the design of the LDP through prototyping, and also verify the prototype with the specification using the process algebra and the performance analysis.

Intake of Processed Foods and the Effects of Nutrition Label Education in 5th Grade Children (초등학교 5학년 아동의 가공식품 섭취와 영양표시 교육의 효과)

  • The effects of nutrition label education on the perception, nutrition knowledge, understanding and applicability of labeling for 81 5$^{th}$ grade students was assessed. Prior to the education, the students' purchasing behavior of processed food was assessed by self-administered questionnaires. The evaluation of subjects' perception and understanding on nutrition label was completed prior to and following four education sessions utilizing materials developed by Korea Food and Drug Administration and Korea Health Industry Development Institute. More than 90% and 15% of subjects purchased processed food weekly and daily, respectively. Considering the nutrition label became an important factor in food purchases following the education sessions. Perception of the value of nutrition label improved from 2.93 to 3.32, although the belief that nutrition labels contributed to the maintenance of good food intake was not significantly increased. The total nutrition knowledge score increased from 5.47 to 7.14 and understanding nutrients composition table was significantly improved (3.17 to 4.80). The results indicate that a school-based nutrition label education program might be an effective aid for adoption of healthier food choices by children.
