  • Currently A demand of high precision workpiece is increasing in industry. At present, roundness measuring machine using Air bearing, coordinate measuring machine that are used from measurement station. but these machines will not be able to apply to In-line process. because of like these machine's price are very expensive and measurement time is long. also, the complexity of conventional roundness measurement method based on fourier transform, it makes difficult to development analysis program. This work present new architecture of a Out-diameter measuring system fur analysis of roundness of product. In this system, the influence of table motion errors is minimize by using two LVDT sensor and knife edge contact tip. We are produce a test machine and make an experimenter on Out-diameter of test bearing. The measurement result compared with roundness measuring machine.

  • The driving torque acting on a rotatable disk of watthour meter is proportional to the effective power. The aim of this paper is to show how the driving torque on a disk can be measured by a LVDT transducer. This driving torque is obtained by the theoretical computation. To verify the computated result, the LVDT as torque transducer, was used. A comparison is made between computed and measured torques.

보조기층재료의 MR 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the MR Characteristics of Subbase Materials)

  • 본 연구에서는 국내에서 사용되고 있는 보조기층재료에 대해 변형측정정치의 위치 및 포화도에 따른 $M_R$값의 변화양상을 파악하고, 시료내의 입자크기(particle size)에 따른 치수효과(size effect)를 파악하여 적절한 $M_R$ 관계식을 제시하였다. 외부변형측정장치를 사용한 경우의 $M_R$값은 회복변형율을 과대평가 하기 때문에 내부변형측정장치를 사용한 경우보다 작았고, 포화도에 따른 $M_R$값은 wet 상태($S_r$=70%)가 damp 상태 ($S_r$=40%)보다 10% 정도 작게 나타났으며 시편을 구성하는 입자의 치수효과는 과대 입자(oversize particle)를 제거함에 따른 간극비의 변화와 직접적인 관계가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이와같은 결과를 종합하여 보조기층의 $M_R$ 관계식은 damp 상태의 포화도에서, $M_R=3960{\cdot}{\theta}^{0.60}$ psi.로 제안할 수 있다.

  • 집중호우는 사면의 붕괴와 사회 기반시설물의 파괴 등을 포함하는 다수의 재해를 유발한다. 이러한 관점에서 강우재현 원심모형실험은 지반구조물의 안정성을 평가하기 위한 합리적인 수단이 될 수 있다. 원심모형실험에서 모형의 변위를 취득하기 위하여 일반적으로 LVDT 또는 레이저 변위계가 사용된다. 그러나 강우모사 시 LVDT는 모형지반으로의 과다 침윤의 문제가 있으며, 레이저 변위계는 레이저의 산란에 의해 계측치의 정확성이 저하된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 강우재현 원심모형실험에 적용하기 위한 수평변위 계측장치를 개발하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 탄성의 박철판과 스트레인 게이지를 이용하여 제작된 본 장치는 관입을 위한 말단부를 고정시켜 수행한 검정 결과로부터 정확한 변위-변형률 관계를 나타냄을 확인하였다.

자동차 허브 내.외경 측정 시스템 개발 (Development of a system for measuring inside & outside diameters of automobile hub)

  • An automobile hub is composed of a hollow cylindrical part with inner and outer diameters. These hub diameters must be precise, as any irregularities in them (diameters) can influence/degrade the motion of an automobile with this problem. Highly accurate and reliable hub inner and outer diameters measurement systems are therefore required for inspection of the diameters. In this research, an automobile hub inner and outer diameters measurement system has been developed and tested. The system consists of measuring heads with LVDT sensors, and associated software for automatic measurement and calibration of the diameters and the sensors respectively. The system has been evaluated in comparison with an existing measurement system, and the following outcomes have been achieved; .Improved and guaranteed quality and reliability .Increased productivity and cost reduction. These results prove the system developed in this research to be suitable for automobile hub inspection.

  • Calibration and gauge factor readjustment process made for the health monitoring system installed in the railway bridges is reviewed and some findings are explained in this study: specifically, the calibrators made for this purpose are illustrated and the regression processes of the calibration on long-term displacement using water level sensor, longitudinal displacement using LVDT sensor, instantaneous displacement using LVDT sensors and accelerometer are described in details. Based on the regression results, new gauge factors are obtained from regression equation and another verification is made by performing another calibration again with new factors. From the second calibration, it was found that the suggested regression curves and their factors are appropriate and much better results are expected. Future work will be concentrated on the long-term analysis of the measurement data and on the database structures so that the assessment of the structure such as damage detection and remaining life estimation is possible.

  • Vehicle clutch measurement for disc cushion variation was developed for the production of high quality Dual clutch transmissions. The developed device is composed of load cells for load measurement and LVDT for measuring the distance variation measurement in cushion variation. The servo motor-driven electric press for flexible loads that was developed was controlled by a PC-based HMI system, LabVIEW, and the device was able to continuously record real time measurement data with the accuracies of ${\pm}0.1\;kgf$ load and ${\pm}5{\mu}m$ cushion amount, which is far above the requirements of commercial vehicle standards.

  • The sensor and measuring instrument that are used for the infrastructure is discussed the reliability problem from the various environment factors. In the domestic infrastructure, the low reliability products are produced, because of lack of the pertinent test methods and equipments. To improve the practical use and accuracy of the sensor, it raises the measurement reliability about the sensor and measurement instrument. In this study, the variance of the displacement value according to temperature was investigated using the LVDT for the infrastructure. The experimental results showed that a sensor is affected by environment factor such as temperature.

  • An extensometer system to measure strain and displacement of cylindrical fatigue specimen in a autoclave of high temperature and high pressure environment has been developed by KEPRI. The extensometer reads the displacement caused by fatigue loads at the target length of the specimen installed inside the autoclave. The performance of the extensometer were tested at 15MPa, $315^{\circ}C$ of a operating pressurized water reactor. Two LVDT's of magnet type were connected to the extensometer and used for converting the fatigue displacement to electronic signal. The device is being used for developing environmental fatigue curve of CF8M cast austenitic stainless steel (CASS) in the test condition of low cycle and low strain. This paper introduces the background and results of the development.
