탁수가 어류군집에 미치는 영향: 대기천 및 봉산천의 사례연구 (Effects of Turbid Water on Fish Community: Case Studies of the Daegi Stream and the Bong-san Stream)

  • 동일 수계에 위치하며 하천의 규모가 비슷하지만 유역의 특성에 따라 강우시 탁수의 영향을 크게 받는 탁수하천과 대조하천을 대상으로 어류서식지 및 군집구조의 특성을 비교하였다. 탁수하천인 대기천의 하천바닥은 주로 모래로 구성되었으며, 대조하천인 봉산천과 계방천은 큰 돌과 작은 돌이 우점하였다. 강우시 탁수하천에서 강우량에 따른 단위면적당 SS 유출은 대조하천에 비해 $4{\sim}200$배정도 높았으며, 이에 따른 서식지의 스트레스 지수는 탁수하천이 약 84배정도 더 크게 받는 것으로 나타났다. 탁수하천과 대조 하천간에 출현종수는 큰 차이를 보이지 않았지만 우점종은 서로 다르게 나타났다. 맑은 하천인 봉산천에서는 하천의 최상류어종인 금강모치, 열목어, 둑중개 등이 우점하였으나, 탁수하천인 대기천에서는 금강모치와 참갈겨니, 종개 등 하천의 중 상류성 어류들이 우점하는 것으로 나타났다. 단위면적당 어류밀도를 비교해본 결과, 탁수하천인 대기천은 대조하천인 봉산천에 비해 1/4로 낮게 나타났다. 집괴분석결과 대기천의 어류군집은 다른 하천의 어류군집과 전혀 다르게 나타났으며, 봉산천은 최상류의 어류군집을 유지하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로, 탁수는 어류의 개체나 개체군을 사멸시킬 확률이 높지 않으나, 강한 스트레스 아래에서 어류군집은 충분히 변화할 수 있다. 같은 수계에서 우점종의 차이가 나타난 것은 탁수가 군집수준에서 만성생태 독성으로 작용하였음을 보여주는 결과이다.

임베디드 시스템을 위한 터치스크린 패널의 터치 영역 인식 기법의 성능 비교 (Performance Comparison of the Recognition Methods of a Touched Area on a Touch-Screen Panel for Embedded Systems)

  • 터치스크린 기능이 있는 LCD 패널이 부착된 임베디드 시스템의 경우, 사용자 입력 명령의 전달을 위해 사각형, 오각형, 원, 화살표 같은 다양한 도형들이 자주 사용된다. 이 경우, 특정 명령 입력 여부의 판단을 위해 터치된 지점이 그 명령을 의미하는 도형 내에 있는지의 여부를 판단하는 알고리즘이 필요하다. 그러나 이런 알고리즘들은 제한된 컴퓨팅 자원을 갖는 임베디드 시스템의 경우 상당한 오버헤드를 유발 할 수 있다. 본 논문의 목적은 현재 널리 쓰이고 있는 터치 영역 인식 알고리즘들을 구현하고, 그 성능을 평가하여 가장 효율적인 인식 방법을 제시하는데 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 우선 터치스크린 LCD 모듈이 부착된 LN2440SBC 임베디드 보드를 위한 터치스크린의 초기화 및 구동 방법과 터치스크린의 좌표를 LCD 패널의 좌표에 맞춰 조절하는 좌표보정 방법을 설명하고, 다음에 도형 영역의 터치 여부의 판단을 위해 사용 되고 있는 사각형의 범위 검사법, 오각형과 같은 다각형의 교차 수(crossing number) 검사법, 원의 거리 측정법, 그리고 모든 도형들에 적용 가능한 색상 비교법을 구현한다. 이 방법들의 성능평가를 위해, 사각형, 오각형, 원, 그림 등을 그리기 위한 이차원 그래픽스 함수들을 구현하고 도형을 생성한 후, 각 방법에 따라 해당 도형들의 영역 터치 여부를 판단하는데 걸리는 시간을 측정한다. 이 측정 결과, 사각형은 범위 검사법이, 원은 거리 측정법이, 다각형 및 그림을 이용한 도형일 경우에는 색상 비교법이 가장 적합한 것으로 나타났다.

  • 정상 성인 남녀 36명(남:여=23:13)을 대상으로 LFCN의 SSEP검사를 시행한 결과로서 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 1. MP의 진단에 있어서는 $P_0$, $N_1$의 절대잠복기 뿐만 아니라 좌 우측 잠복기의 차이값($DP_0$, $DN_1$을 비교하여 보는 것이 더욱 중요하며 그 차이는 모두 2 msec 이하였다. 2. $P_0N_1$의 진폭만으로 비정상과 정상의 기준을 정할 수는 없으나 좌 우측 평균 진폭의 차이는 1.6배 이하였다. 3. $P_0(N_1)$, $DP_0(DN_1)$, 그리고 A(DA)에 있어 남녀군 간의 차이는 없었다.

Molecular Theory of Plastic Deformation (Ⅲ)$^*$

  • (1) The flow data of f (stress) and ${\dot{s}$ (strain rate) for Fe and Ti alloys were plotted in the form of f vs. -ln ${\dot{s}$ by using the literature values. (2) The plot showed two distinct patterns A and B; Pattern A is a straight line with a negative slope, and Pattern B is a curve of concave upward. (3) According to Kim and Ree's generalized theory of plastic deformation, pattern A & B belong to Case 1 and 2, respectively; in Case 1, only one kind of flow units acts in the deformation, and in Case 2, two kinds flow units act, and stress is expressed by $f={X_1f_1}+{X_2f_2}$where $f_1\;and\;f_2$ are the stresses acting on the flow units of kind 1 and 2, respectively, and $X_1,\;X_2$ are the fractions of the surface area occupied by the two kinds of flow units; $f_j=(1/{\alpha}_j) sinh^{-1}\;{\beta}_j{{\dot{s}}\;(j=1\;or\;2)$, where $1/{\alpha}_j\;and\;{\beta}_j$ are proportional to the shear modulus and relaxation time, respectively. (4) We found that grain-boundary flow units only act in the deformation of Fe and Ti alloys whereas dislocation flow units do not show any appreciable contribution. (5) The deformations of Fe and Ti alloys belong generally to pattern A (Case 1) and B (Case 2), respectively. (6) By applying the equations, f=$(1/{\alpha}_{g1}) sinh^-1({\beta}_{g1}{\dot{s}}$) and $f=(X_{g1}/{\alpha}_{g1})sinh^{-1}({\beta}_{g1}{\dot{s}})+ (X_{g2}/{\alpha}_{g2})\;shih^{-1}({\beta}_{g2}{\dot{s}})$ to the flow data of Fe and Ti alloys, the parametric values of $x_{gj}/{\alpha}_{gj}\;and\;{\beta}_{gs}(j=1\;or\;2)$ were determined, here the subscript g signifies a grain-boundary flow unit. (7) From the values of ($({\beta}_gj)^{-1}$) at different temperatures, the activation enthalpy ${\Delta}H_{gj}^{\neq}$ of deformation due to flow unit gj was determined, ($({\beta}_gj)^{-1}$) being proportional to , the jumping frequency (the rate constant) of flow unit gj. The ${\Delta}H_{gj}\;^{\neq}$ agreed very well with ${\Delta}H_{gj}\;^{\neq}$ (self-diff) of the element j whose diffusion in the sample is a critical step for the deformation as proposed by Kim-Ree's theory (Refer to Tables 3 and 4). (8) The fact, ${\Delta}H_{gj}\;^{\neq}={\Delta}H_{j}\;^{\neq}$ (self-diff), justifies the Kim-Ree theory and their method for determining activation enthalpies for deformation. (9) A linear relation between ${\beta}^{-1}$ and carbon content [C] in hot-rolled steel was observed, i.e., In ${\beta}^{-1}$ = -50.2 [C] - 40.3. This equation explains very well the experimental facts observed with regard to the deformation of hot-rolled steel..

수간곡선식 개발과 국가탄소배출계수를 이용한 졸참나무의 탄소저장량 추정 (Estimation of Carbon Stock by Development of Stem Taper Equation and Carbon Emission Factors for Quercus serrata)

  • This study was conducted to estimate carbon stocks of Quercus serrata with drawing volume of trees in each tree height and DBH applying the suitable stem taper equation and tree specific carbon emission factors, using collected growth data from all over the country. Information on distribution area, tree number per hectare, tree volume and volume stocks were obtained from the $5^{th}$ National Forest Inventory (2006~2010), and method provided in IPCC GPG was applied to estimate carbon storage and removals. Performance in predicting stem diameter at a specific point along a stem in Quercus serrata by applying Kozak's model,$d=a_1DBH^{a_2}a_3^{DBH}X^{b_1Z^2+b_2ln(Z+0.001)+b_3{\sqrt{Z}}+b_4e^Z+b_5({\frac{DBH}{H}})}$, which is well known equation in stem taper estimation, was evaluated with validations statistics, Fitness Index, Bias and Standard Error of Bias. Consequently, Kozak's model turned out to be suitable in all validations statistics. Stem volume tables of Quercus serrata were derived by applying Kozak's model and carbon stock tables in each tree height and DBH were developed with country-specific carbon emission factors ($WD=0.65t/m^3$, BEF=1.55, R=0.43) of Quercus serrata. As a result of carbon stock analysis by age class in Quercus serrata, carbon stocks of IV age class (11,358 ha, 36.5%) and V age class (10,432; 33.5%) which take up the largest area in distribution of age class were 957,000 tC and 1,312,000 tC. Total carbon stocks of Quercus serrata were 3,191,000 tC which is 3% compared with total percentage of broad-leaved forest and carbon sequestration per hectare(ha) was 3.8 tC/ha/yr, $13.9tCO_2/ha/yr$, respectively.

Pilot scale 유중건조 장비를 이용한 커피찌꺼기의 고형연료화 연구 (A Study on the RDF Manufacturing of Coffee grounds by using Pilot scale Oil-drying Equipment)

  • 본 연구에서는 유중건조 공정으로 커피찌꺼기 고형연료를 제조하기 위한 최적 조건을 선정하는 연구를 수행하였다. 유중건조 장비를 실험실 규모에서 파일럿 규모로 확장하여 효율을 비교 분석하였으며, 최적 조건을 선정하기 위하여 커피찌꺼기와 기름의 비율 선정, 세팅 온도, 비율별 시간에 따른 온도변화 및 함수율을 측정하였다. 또한 연구결과물(커피찌꺼기 유중건조물)의 특성분석을 위하여 칼로리미터와 TGA, 연소 장비, 연소 가스 측정기를 이용하여 생산한 고형연료의 특성분석을 하였다. 그 결과 기름과 커피찌꺼기의 비율은 4:1이었고 세팅 온도 $300^{\circ}C$로 설정 시 20분 이내에 함수율 10wt.% 이하에 도달하였다. 또한 6,273kcal/kg의 높은 발열량을 보였으나 커피찌꺼기의 경우 목재와 비슷한 성분을 지니고 있어 높은 휘도를 보이며 연소 가스에서 많은 CO를 생성하였다. 이로 인하여 화력발전소, 캠핑용 연료로는 부적합하다고 판단되나 초기 착화속도가 빠르며 발열량이 높아 현재 사용 중인 불쏘시개용 연료를 대체할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

우리나라 소나무의 수간곡선식 추정에 의한 탄소저장량 및 흡수량 산정 (Assessment of Carbon Stock and Uptake by Estimation of Stem Taper Equation for Pinus densiflora in Korea)

Performance in predicting stem diameter at a specific point along a stem in Pinus densiflora by applying Kozak's model, $d=a_{1}DBH^{a_2}a_3^{DBH}X^{b_{1}Z^2+b_2ln(Z+0.001)+b_3\sqrt{Z}+b_4e^z+b_5(\frac{DBH}{H})}$, which is well known equation in stem taper estimation, was evaluated with validations statistics, Fitness Index, Bias and Standard Error of Bias. Consequently, Kozak's model turned out to be suitable in all validations statistics. Stem volume table of P. densiflora was derived by applying Kozak's model and carbon stock tables in each tree height and DBH were developed with country-specific carbon emission factors ($WD=0.445t/m^3$, BEF = 1.445, R = 0.255) of P. densiflora. As the results of analysis in carbon uptake for each province, the values were high with Gangwon-do $9.4tCO_2/ha/yr$, Gyeongsandnam-do and Gyeonggi-do $8.7tCO_2/ha/yr$, Chungcheongnam-do $7.9tCO_2/ha/yr$ and Gyeongsangbuk-do $7.8tCO_2/ha/yr$ in order, and Jeju-do was the lowest with $6.8tC/ha/yr$. Total carbon stocks of P. densiflora were 127,677 thousands tC which is 25.5% compared with total percentage of forest and carbon stock per hectare (ha) was $84.5tC/ha/yr$ and $7.8tCO_2/ha/yr$, respectively.

Regional Lymph Node Dissection as an Additional Treatment Option to Endoscopic Resection for Expanded Indications in Gastric Cancer: a Prospective Cohort Study

  • Purpose: Expanded indications for endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) in early gastric cancer (EGC) remain controversial due to the potential risk of undertreatment after adequate lymph node dissection (LND). Regional LND (RLND) is a novel technique used for limited lymphadenectomy to avoid gastrectomy. This study established the safety and effectiveness of RNLD as an additional treatment option after ESD for expanded indications. Materials and Methods: A total of 69 patients who met the expanded indications for ESD were prospectively enrolled from 2014 to 2017. The tumors were localized using intraoperative esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) before RLND. All patients underwent RLND first, followed by conventional radical gastrectomy with LND. The locations of the preoperative and intraoperative EGD were compared. Pathologic findings of the primary lesion and the RLND status were analyzed. Results: The concordance rates of tumor location between the preoperative and intraoperative EGD were 79.7%, 76.8%, and 63.8% according to the longitudinal, circumferential, and regional locations, respectively. Of the 4 patients (5.7%) with metastatic LNs, 3 were pathologically classified as beyond the expanded indication for ESD and 1 had a single LN metastasis in the regional lymph node. Conclusions: RLND is a safe additional option for the treatment of EGC in patients meeting expanded indications after ESD.

Improvement of Reproductive Efficiency of Artificial Insemination Following Estrus Induction in Dog II. Semen Freezing and Artificial Insemination in Dog

  • Considerable attention has been focused on the cryopreservation of semen and estrus induction in dog, as consequence of poor productivity caused by long anestrus period, in order to enhance the productivity of youngs and to preserve the breeds. The objectives of this study were to evaluate semen quality after cryopreservation and to evaluate the Pregnancy rate after insemination (AI). Fifty infertilie dogs (age 2∼3 years) were selected for the study and divided into three different estrus induction treatment groups. Group 1: dogs (n=15) were given clomifene (0.1 mg/kg) orally for five days at 12 hr intervals. Group 2: dogs (n=15) were given bromocriptine (50 $\mu\textrm{g}$/kg) orally for five days at 12 hr intervals, followed by single injection intravenously of 500 IU GnRH (Group 3, n=20) when pro-estrus occurred. The rates of pregnancy in estrus inducted dogs mated naturally compared to those inseminated artificially with ejaculated fresh semen and frozen-thawed semen. Estrus detection was performed using the method of vaginal smear and confirmed by the plasma progesterone assay. The ejaculated semen to freeze was exposed to a mixture of Tris extender with cryoprotectant (Trisma, 81 mM: TES, 209 mM: citric acid, 6 mM; glucose, 5 mM; glycerol, 8%) and cryopreserved gradually by slow-cooling at 17 cm above the surface of liquid nitrogen (LN$_2$) for 23 min. The motility of frozen-thawed spermatozoa was assessed by phase-contrast microscopy. To assess their viability and acrosome content, spermatozoa were stained with a vital stain and Fluorescence conjugated lectin Pisum Savitum Agglutinin (FITC/PAS), respectively. Pregnancy was confirmed by ultrasonograpy on day 25, 35 and 55 post insemination. The use of fresh semen, the pregnancy rates were observed 66.6, 66.6, 75.0 and 83.3% in natural estrus, clomifene induced, bromocriptine induced and a combination of GnRH and bromocriptine, respectively. The use of frozen-thawed semen, the pregnancy rates were observed 66.6, 33.3, 50.0 and 60.0% in natural estrus, clomifene induced, bromocriptine induced and a combination of GnRH and bromocriptine, respectively. No difference was observed in the number of offspring produced among natural estrus and treated groups inseminated with fresh or frozen-thawed semen. In conclusion, the pregnancy rate of dogs treated with a combination of GnRH and bromocriptine was more effective than use of clomifene or bromocriptine only. In addition, frozen-thawed semen can be used successfully far artificial insemination in dog.

중풍 환자의 심박변이도 특성에 대한 임상적 연구 (Clinical Study for Characteristics of Heart Rate Variability in Stroke Patients)

  • Objectives : We designed this study to investigate difference of heart rate variability(HRV) according to sex, age, acute or chronic phase, category of stroke, national institute of health stroke scale(NIHSS), lesion of stroke. Methods : 64 subjects were recruited from the patients admitted to the department of oriental medicine at East-West Neo Medical Center, Kyung Hee University from 1 September 2009 to 31 August 2010. We compared heart rate(HR), standard deviation of all normal P-P intervals(SDNN), low frequency(LF), high frequency(HF), LF/HF ratio. Results and Conclusions : 1. LF/HF ratio is significantly different between over-70 and below-70 of age. 2. SDNN is significantly different between acute and chronic stroke patients. 3. In sex, category of stroke, national institute of health stroke scale(NIHSS), lesion of stroke, there are no significantly different among the any values of heart rate variability(HRV).
