This study deals with a Logistics Information System(LIS) in recording industry. Many companies developed a LIS to minimize logistics cost and improve customer services. However, due to the diversity of distribution structure and the complexity of logistics process, developing an LIS in recording industry is complicated. This paper analyses the current situation in domestic recording industry and presents a framework of LIS. This system is composed of the front office related to the logistics processes and the back office related to the rest of the processes. This system can be used to develop an LIS in logistics industry. Some examples are given and discussed to validate the proposed LIS.

The information technology(IT) development of telecommunication, along with the information analyzation over the world, enables the firms to process their inner and outer operations through Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) system. And the concept of logistics has become more important to the enterprises in strategic sense because it had aggrandized itself to more comprehensive and integrative concept. Also the world shipping market is more competitive than any other market. In these environment, to maintain competitive power, shipping firms process operations by Logistics Information system(LIS), And then, reduce the working processes, working time and its costs. So the LIS has become more important in developing our national logistics system and industry. Therefore, this study purposes on empirically analyzing the activation factors of shipping LIS and the relationship these, factors with logistic performances in the shipping industry. Considering environments of Shipping logistics information system, this study sets up the research model and hypothesis to examine the activation factors of shipping LIS and the relationship these factors with logistic performances. We used the field data on the 163 numbers of firms(29 overseas shipping companies and 133 forwarding Agency) to get the empirical evidence. According to the study results, The shipping LIS activation factors which the sample firms recognized as important: were top managers support, well structured communication channel, strategic plans connection and inner information analyzation level. And IS organization & human resources, IS discipline & training, software development, IS organizational alignment, database management system, information standardization, competitive advantage, financial support and government support represent partially significant. Also, the current shipping LISs main problems are expensive system cost, standardization of working processs, institutions imperfection and systems interaction defect. So these problems must be improved to activate shipping LIS.

The purpose of the present study is to empirically and theoretically assess the logistics information systems (LIS) success in a quasi-voluntary IS use context. It is important to understand what factors impact the successful use of LIS. The research model is basically based on the framework of IS success proposed by DeLone & McLean(1992) and Seddon(1997). Structural modeling techniques were applied to data collected by questionnaire from 203 LIS users. The results show that user satisfaction play a significant role in influencing the system dependency. The results also revealed that user characteristics is directly affected by perceived usefulness, system quality and information quality, and indirectly influenced by user characteristics.

Logistics has become a key element in a shipping firm's overall strategy, now that the concept of logistics has expanded into one that is more comprehensive and integrated. furthermore, the global shipping market is the most competitive market in the world. In this environment, shipping firms are using Logistics Information Systems (LIS), which help them to save time and reduce costs. As such, LIS has become a critical part of Korea's attempts to develop Its national logistics system and industry. In this light, this study attempted to empirically determine the critical elements necessary for effective shipping LIS implementation and to then analyze how these elements are related to actual logistics performance within the shipping industry. The research results show that the sample firms considered the following factors to be most Important to an effective LIS: the support of top management; an efficient and well-structured communication channel; a solid strategic implementation plan; and a high level of information analysis internally. Other factors mentioned as being somewhat significant included MIS organization and human resources, MIS discipline and training, software development capabilities, MIS organizational alignment, database management systems information standardization, competitive advantage, financial support and government support The main problems with current shipping LIS include the expensive cost of systems, lack of standardized working processes, and weak organizational structures.

The biggest exchange of international environment of shipping logistics in 21 century should appear ultra-mega container ships on the shipping market. The competitive trend of large size container ship was based on economics of scale among the international shipping business. In the environment, shipping firms consider the integration of freight forwarder and shipper in the international logistics process. The aims of this research analyse a relation between the environment uncertainty and logistics information system(LIS) and the integration and resolve the integration and its impact on logistics performance. The research methodology of this research analyse structural equation modeling on the relation of variables. The results of research are as follows. First, Environmental uncertainty significantly influences the internal integration and the external integration. Second, LIS has an influence on the logistics integration by providing the foundation for LIS utilization in international logistics process. Third, the internal integration significantly influences a logistics performance, which implies that firms should promote interaction and collaboration through internal process integration to achieve logistics performance as the logistical cost and service. But the external integration is not significantly a logistics performance.

본 논문은 물류 정보시스템과 관련된 자동입출고 시스템의 실행 및 최적화에 관한 것이다. 논문은 우선 문헌연구와 이에 따른 사례연구를 제시하고 있다. 사례연구에서는 기업의 프로세스를 분석한 다음 자동입출고 시스템의 실행 및 활용에 대해 조사하였다. 물류정보시스템은 글로벌 환경에서 경쟁력을 유지하기 위해 주요한 구성요소이며 사례연구에서의 기업은 효율적인 물리적 배분관리에 적용하였다. 자동입출고시스템은 저장공간을 극대화하고 생산성 증가, 정확성을 증가시키는 것으로 판명되고 특히 비좁은 통로와 높은 저장선반의 경우 효과적임을 보여주었다.

본 논문에서는 효율적인물류관리를위하여물류프로세스와현장 업무환경을 고려한 모바일물류정보시스템을 구현한다. 모바일 물류정보시스템은 물류센터의 전체 업무 프로세스를 실시간으로 수행할 수 있으며, ERP 및 POS 시스템과의 연계로 업무의 효율성을 강화시키는 시스템이다. 또한 서비스와 전체 공급망의 관리 수준을 향상시키는 시스템이다. 기존의물류 관련 업무는 전산화 및 자동화가 되지 않아작업자 경험과 관례에 의존하여 작업을 진행하기 때문에 비효율적인 관리가 이루어지고 있으며 물류 현황 통제력 약화로 물류의 품질이 저하되는 문제점이 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 본 논문에서는 모바일 물류정보시스템을 구축하여 실물 현장 중심의 실시간 운영 모니터링 환경을 제공하고, 현장업무 효율성 충족 및 최적화 된 시스템 기능을 제공하고자 한다. 또한 신규 물류 시스템으로 안정적 물류 정보지원과 새로운 ERP 및 관련 시스템과의 견고한 인터페이스로 시장 확대와 성장에 따른 물동량 증가에 적절하게 대응할 수 있도록 한다.

The advancement of information technology provides a wide range of options for the corporate to cope with new business environments. As with most other businesses, the utilization of the logistics information technology can be an instrument to enhance the competitiveness of the company. Therefore it is essential to analyze how companies utilize and verify the relationship between company business performance and the level of information technology utilization, which is the objective of this paper. The questionnaire was sent to 300 companies listed on the stock market at random The author received 176 responses of which 142 were complete and valid. According to the analysis of questionnaires, the adoption level of information technologies was dependent on the perception of top managers on the importance of information technology in business competitiveness. Furthermore the level of relation between the information technology adoption and business performance was significant. Therefore businesses need to increase the utilization of information technologies, such as establishment of logistics information system, network with other business partners in order to business logistics performance.

본 연구는 통합물류정보시스템(물류정보시스템의 기능별 활용 수준, 물류활동 연계, 물류조직구조, 물류전략 유형)이 물류성과에 미치는 영향 요인에 대해 실증적으로 조사하였다. 이를 위하여 조사한 결과 다음과 같은 시사점을 얻을 수 있었다. 기업적인 측면에서 물류정보시스템을 운영은 하고있으나 기능별 활용 수준이 낮고 각 시스템을 독립적으로 운영하고 있으며, 사내와 고객 그리고 공급자 연계가 잘 이루어지지 못 하고 있는 실정이다. 그리고 대부분의 기업들은 시스템 기기들이 도입 초기 단계 또는 기능별 정착 단계에 있다. 장기적인 관점에서 물류합리화를 위해 기업경쟁력을 강화시키기 위해서는 물류 각 기능별로 독립적으로 구축된 시스템보다는 전사적인 차원에서 기능간 연계가 이루어지는 통합적인 물류정보시스템이 구축되어야 하고 이러한 통합적 관점에서 또한 공급 사슬관리가 이루어져야 한다. 이를 통하여 물류운영의 효과성과 효율성을 크게 개선할 수 있고 구매비용, 수송비용, 재고 및 창고 관리 비용간의 상층관계를 원활하게 해결할 수 있다. 그리고 공급사슬 네트워크상의 파트너들과의 긴밀한 상호협조를 통하여 최종 고객에게 제공하는 서비스를 제고시킬 수 있으며 공급사슬상의 물류비용을 절감시킬 수 있다.
