  • The introduction of the BIM into the architectural service industry is currently not being conducted smoothly. The purpose of this research is to, considering the current state of the market, establish long-term strategies that will enable the BIM to successfully settle. The survey has been conducted in target of architects in order to understand pending issues. Additionally, the articles regarding BIM have been researched for the purpose of better understanding the current societal demands. Indicated by survey results, the architects agree to a certain extent upon the need of BIM for architectural designs, yet also express concerns that the BIM introduction does not guarantee betterment in efficiency. The problematic aspects of BIM introduction that have already been discussed in some policy-related studies include a multitude of complicated issues that are unable to be resolved within a short period of time: underdeveloped BIM infra, the limit of BIM software itself, political issues regarding licensing and lack of social awareness. Based on the issues mentioned above, three main areas of focus along with their respective practical strategies and tasks have been designated. Finally, this research has analyzed the current situation and its issues along with the political solutions of 12 projects, amongst which include the standard for plan drawings, licensing system improvement, cost standard and BIM introduction support. Finally this research has analyzed the current situations and its' issues along with the political solutions of 12 projects, amongst them are the standard for plan drawings, licensing system improvement, cost standard and BIM introduction support.

The purpose of this study is to identify the necessity of comprehensive character records management system and requirements for records producers and users, and suggest a construction plan for archives that reflects this idea. Related cases in domestic and overseas were identified and analyzed, survey was conducted of character designers and users participating in the '2017 Character Licensing Fair' in order to understand their needs on character archives, and it was followed by interviews of two character designers. From the implications of the related cases and the analysis results of the questionnaire survey and the interviews, plans for records collection, management, and services were suggested for constructing character archives. Specifically, preparation of collection policy, insertion of watermark to prevent pirating, online sales of characters, and one-stop service that can provide licensing for copyright protection and record utilization were suggested.

  • This study examines the preliminary license and approval facilitation standards for improvements in quality for childcare centers focusing on the number of children, building space standards, facilities and equipment, and childcare program. Data from 48 caese was collected from childcare centers nationwide in Korea through a questionnaire and building plan. The first step for starting care licensing is to work out the ages and numbers of children within four or five age ranges. The second step is to work out the number of children as small, medium, or large considering staff to child ratios and building size. The Nnext step is to make a choice about childcare service quality classification as minimum, fair, or good, considering space requirements per child for the building, the classroom and the outdoor playground. The next step is to make a choice of space organization relating to service programs, considering the sleeping and eating area, indoor play area, toilet & washing facilities, classroom layouts such as cluster type, double zone type, single zone type, and others. Also, each room and entrance, office, kitchen, storage, laundry, teacher's area, and chilldren's area, need to be checked for space requirements and performances. The last step is to arrange the childcare program with the building and site plan. In conclusion childcare service quality will get better by upgrading of license regulation especially in minimum space requirements per child, corresponding with an increase in GNP and housing area per person. This is needed for childcare licensing in order to determine the quality level of childcare service.

  • This research investigates the determinant factors of technology licensing contracts and the relative importance of each factor. To accomplish this objective we classify various factors affecting technology licenses into two categories, technology and environment, and conduct an Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) with a Korean expert survey. From the AHP results, we find that the possibility of commercial success, as well as the scope and levels of exclusive rights which are transferred together with technology to the licensee, are very important among technological factors in technology transfer. Moreover, we conclude that the technology utilization capacity and the learning capabilities of the licensee are also important environmental factors. Finally, we conclude that the factors which the licensor and licensee consider in technology transfer are different from each other. Based on this result, we discuss implications with regard to reducing this factor gap between the licensor and licensee as a means of promoting and improving technology transfer in the Republic of Korea.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the home-health-care workers licensing education course in Seoul, Korea. Based on the previous research, a conceptual model was suggested explaining the dynamics of perceived educational service quality (SERVQUAL), educational satisfaction and the occupational readiness. The data set for this study drawn from the 297 self-administered surveys were analyzed with the suggested conceptual model by utilizing AMOS program. The measurement models and conceptual model fit well with the collected data set. As results of this study, 5 domains of SERVQUAL were produced including accountability, trustiness, responsiveness, sympathy, and assurance. The results of structural modeling with latent variables confirmed that SERVQUAL were influenced perceived educational satisfaction as well as occupational readiness. Among the SERVQUAL domains, accountability, trustiness, responsiveness, and assurance had significant impacts on the educational satisfaction while accountability, trustiness and responsiveness had significant direct effects on the occupational readiness. The trustiness had significant indirect effects on the occupational readiness via the educational satisfaction. Hence, the educational satisfaction had the significant impacts on the occupational readiness. Based on the findings of this study, we suggest to intense the educational program or curricular focusing on the SERVQUAL elements. Those changes will enhance self-confidence among the prospective home-health-care workers as well as public trustiness on the national long-term care program.
