Compact Finite Volume Method를 이용한 수심적분형 흐름 및 이송-확산 모형 개발 (Development of 2D Depth-Integrated Hydrodynamic and Transport Model Using a Compact Finite Volume Method)

  • 고정확도를 보장할 수 있는 Compact Finite Volume Method를 이용하여 수심적분형 흐름 모형과 수심평균된 이송확산 방정식을 해석하는 수치모형 개발과정을 기술하였다. 이차원의 흐름과 파랑의 상호작용에 대한 실험결과와 제시된 수치모형을 이용한 계산결과는 양호하게 일치하였다. 일차원과 이차원공간에서의 흐름에 의한 스칼라의 이송에 관한 수치모의에서도 수차확산이 거의 발견되지 않았고, 매우 정확히 일치하였다. 개수로에서의 난류혼합에 관한 수치모의 결과에서도 합리적인 스칼라의 혼합양상이 관찰되었다.

철도터널 화재 유동에 사용되는 FDS code의 적용성 분석 (The Applicability Analysis of FDS code for Fire-Driven Flow Simulation in Railway Tunnel)

  • The performance and applicability of FDS code is analyzed for flow simulation in railway tunnel. FDS has been built in NIST(USA) for simulation of fire-driven flow. RANS and DNS's results are compared with FDS's. AJL non-linear ${\kappa}-{\epsilon}$[7,8] model is employed to calculate the turbulent flow for RANS. DNS data by Moser et al.[9] are used to prove the FDS's applicability in the near wall region. Parallel plate is used for simplified model of railway tunnel. Geometrical variables are non-dimensionalized by the height (H) of parallel plate. The length of streamwise direction is 50H and the length of spanwise direction is 5H. Selected Re numbers are 10,667 for turbulent flow and 133 for laminar low. The characteristics of turbulent boundary layer are introduced. AJL model's predictions of turbulent boundary layer are well agreed with DNS data. However, the near wall turbulent boundary layer is not well resolved by FDS code. Slip conditions are imposed on the wall but wall functions based on log-law are not employed by FDS. The heavily dense grid distribution in the near wall region is necessary to get correct flow behavior in this region for FDS.

자연 배기 터널에서의 연기 거동에 관한 연구 (A Study of Smoke Movement in Tunnel Fire with Natural Ventilation)

  • In this study, smoke movement in tunnel fire with natural ventilation shaft has been investigated with various size of fire source. Gasoline pool fire with different size of diameter - 73mm, 100mm, 125mm and 154mm - was used to describe fire source. Experimental data is obtained with 1/20 model tunnel test and its results are compared with numerical results. The computation were carried out using FDS 1.0 which is a field model of fire-driven now. Temperature profiles between measured and predicted data are compared along ceiling and near the ventilation shaft. Both results are in good agreement with each other. In order to evaluating a safe egress time in tunnel fire, horizontal smoke front velocity was measured in model tunnel fire tests and those are compared with numerical results. According to the presence or absence of natural ventilation shaft, ventilation effect are estimated quantitatively. Finally, this paper shows that computational fluid dynamics(CFD) is applicable to predict fire-induced flow in tunnel.

통계적난류합성모델을 이용한 원심홴 내부 광대역 소음 예측 (Prediction of internal broadband noise of a centrifugal fan using stochastic turbulent synthetic model)

  • The internal broadband noise of a centrifugal fan in a household refrigerator is predicted by using hybrid CAA technique based on stochastic turbulent synthetic model. First, the unsteady flow field around the centrifugal fan is predicted using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) method. Then, the turbulent flow field is synthesized by applying the stochastic turbulent synthetic technique to the predicted flow field. The aerodynamic noise sources of the centrifugal fan are modeled on a basis of the synthesized turbulent field. Finally, the broadband noise of the centrifugal fan is predicted using Boundary Element Method (BEM) and the modeled sources. The predicted result is compared with the experimental data. It is found that the predicted result closely follows the experimental data. The proposed method can be used as an effective tool for designing low-noise fans without expensive computational cost required generally for the LES and DNS simulations to resolve the turbulence flow field responsible for the broadband noise.

터널 화재시 종횡비에 따른 연기 거동에 관한 수치해석적 연구 (A Numerical Study of an Effect of the Aspect Ratio on Smoke Movement in funnel Fires)

  • 본 연구에서는 터널 화재 시 종횡비에 따른 연기의 거동 특성을 파악하기 위하여 화재 전용 해석 코드인 FDS 3.0을 이용하여 수치해석 하였다. 수치해석 결과를 실험 결과와 비교하여 FDS의 터널 화재 적용 가능성을 검증하였으며, 실험 값과 비교한 결과 1$0^{\circ}C$이내의 범위에서 비교적 잘 일치하였다. 속도 분포를 이용한 연층의 경계높이의 예측 값이 실험과 약 3%의 오차를 보였으며 온도장과 속도장의 해석을 통해 터널내 연기의 거동을 확인하였다. 종횡비의 변화에 따른 결과도 잘 일치하였으며, 종횡비가 증가할수록 화원 부근에서는 온도가 낮지만 연기가 퍼져나가면서 폭방향으로의 열손실 감소로 인해 온도 감소율은 줄어들었다.

유통 상장기업들의 자본조달 특징에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Financing Decision of Retail Firms Listed on Korean Stock Markets)

  • Purpose - This article aims to examine whether the stock issuance of firms in the retail industry follows Myers' (1984) pecking order theory, which is based on information asymmetry. According to the pecking order model, firms have a sequence of financing decisions, of which the first choice is to use retained earnings, the second one is to get into safe debt, the next involves risky debt, and the last involves finance with outside equity. Since the 2000s, the polarization of the LEs (Large enterprises) and SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) arose in the retail industry. The LEs exhibited an improvement in growth and profitability, whereas SMEs had a tendency to degenerate. This study contributes to corroborating the features of financing decisions in the retail industry distinguished from the other industries. Research design, data, and methodology - This study considers the stocks listed on the KOSPI and KOSDAQ markets from 1991 to 2013, and is more concentrated on the stocks in the retail industry. The data were collected from the financial information company, WISEfn. The empirical analysis is conducted by employing two measures of net equity issues (and), which were introduced in Fama and French (2005), and can be calculated from firms' accounting information. All variables are generated as the aggregate value of the numerator divided by aggregate assets, which, in effect, treats the entire sample as a single firm. Substantially, the financing decisions of the firms were analyzed by examining how often and under what circumstances firms issue and repurchase equity. Then, this study compares the features of the retail industry with those of the other industries. Results - The proportion of sample firms that show annual net stock issues reaching the level of the year's average was 54.33% for the 1990s, and fell to 39.93% per year for the 2000s. In detail, the fraction of the small firms actually increases from 45.08% to 51.04%, whereas that of large firms shows a dramatic decline from 58.94% to 24.76%. Considering the fact that the large firms' rapid increase in growth after the 2000s may lead to an increase in equity issues, this result is rather surprising. Meanwhile, net stock repurchases of assets are considerably disproportionate between the large (-50.11%) and the small firms (-15.66%) for the 2000s. Conclusions - Stock issuance of retail firms is not in line with the traditional seasoned equity offering based on information asymmetry. The net stock issuance of the small firms in the retail industry can be interpreted as part of an effort to reorganize business and solicit new investment to resolve degenerating business performance. For large firms, on the other hand, the net repurchase can be regarded as part of an effort to rearrange business for efficiency and amplifying synergy across business sections through spin-off. These results can help the government establish a support policy on retail industry according to size.

DNS 자료를 이용한 복단면 개수로에서 쌍와(雙渦)에 관한 연구 (Investigation of Twin Vortices in Turbulent Compound Open-Channel Flows using DNS Data)

  • 본 연구에서는 복단면 개수로 난류흐름에 대한 직접수치모의(DNS)를 수행하였다. DNS 자료를 이용하여 평균흐름 및 난류 구조를 제시하며, 기존의 실험자료 및 수치해석결과와 비교된다. 주수로와 홍수터의 접합부 부근에서 쌍와(雙渦)가 생성되는데, 그 최대크기는 체적평균된 주흐름방향 유속의 약 5%로 나타났다. 쌍와(雙渦)의 영향에 의해 접합부에서 벽전단응력이 최대값을 보였는데, 이는 기존 LES 자료와는 일치하지만 기존 실험연구결과와는 다른 것으로 그 원인에 대해 상세히 논의되었다. 사분면 해석을 통해 접합부 부근에서 레이놀즈 전단응력은 주로 쓸기현상 및 분출현상에 의해 생성되는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 조건부사분면 해석을 통해 지배적인 고유구조의 방향성이 레이놀즈 전단응력 및 쌍와(雙渦)의 생성을 결정한다는 것을 확인하였다.

전산해석을 통한 고속철도 더블암 팬터그래프의 부재별 공력소음특성 연구 (THE AERO-ACOUSTIC ANALYSIS FOR EACH PART OF DOUBLE ARM PANTOGRAPH OF HIGH SPEED TRAIN)

  • In this study, an aero-acoustic analysis around pantograph of a high speed train is performed. Computational technique and grid system is validated with wind tunnel test result and unsteady acoustic pressure data are used for analyzing noise level of each part of pantograph. FLUENT is used for flow analysis and LES(Large Eddy Simulation) is applied for analyzing turbulent flow. For acoustic analysis, Ffowcs Williams-Hawkings(FW-H) acoustics model is used and it bring the aero-acoustic characteristic of pantograph. As the result, contact strip, knee, substructure of pantograph is confirmed as a main source of aero-acoustic noise and it is dealt in various frequencies. The result is expected to help building improved grid system.

  • A GA(Genetic Algorithm) based 3D-PTV technique has been developed. The measurement system consists of three CCD cameras, Ar-ion laser, an image grabber and a host computer. The fundamental of the developed technique was based on that one-to-one correspondence is found between two tracer particles selected at two different image frames taking advantage of combinatorial optimization of the genetic algorithm. The fitness function controlling reproductive success in the genetic algorithm was expressed by a kind of continuum theory on the sparsely distributed particles in space. In order to verify the capability of the constructed measurement system, a performance test was made using the LES data set of an impinging jet. The developed 3D-PTV system was applied to the measurement of flow characteristics of the wake of a circular cylinder.

  • This paper presents a new two-terminal numerical algorithm for fault location estimation and for faults recognition using the synchronized phasor in time-domain. The proposed algorithm is also based on the synchronized voltage and current phasor measured from the PMUs(Phasor Measurement Units) installed at both ends of the transmission lines. Also the arc voltage wave shape is modeled numerically on the basis of a great number of arc voltage records obtained by transient recorder. From the calculated arc voltage amplitude it can make a decision whether the fault is permanent or transient. In this paper the algorithm is given and estimated using DFT(Discrete Fourier Transform) and the LES(Least Error Squares Method). The algorithm uses a very short data window and enables fast fault detection and classification for real-time transmission line protection. To test the validity of the proposed algorithm, the Electro-Magnetic Transient Program(EMTP/ATP) and MATLAB is used.
