  • 최근 LED 기술의 발달로 LED의 이용범위가 점차 넓어지고 있다. 이러한 LED를 구동하기 위한 시스템의 저비용 고효율을 위해서는 입력전압에 대한 출력전압의 승강압이 중요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 승강압이 가능한 DC-DC 컨버터인 Buck-Boost, ZETA, SEPIC 토폴로지를 적용하여 LED Lamp 구동 시스템을 구성해 본다. 위 세 가지의 컨버터는 입력전압에 대하여 출력전압의 승강압이 가능하고 입출력 전압특성이 동일하다. 그러므로 각각의 컨버터들을 이용하여 LED driving 회로를 구성하고, Pspice 시뮬레이션을 통해 나타나는 입출력 효율을 측정하여 승강압용 DC-DC 컨버터의 특성을 비교한다.

  • In line with the rapid economic growth of many countries, fossil fuel energy sources are also rapidly depleting. Therefore, the price is also rising rapidly, so it is necessary to develop new and renewable energy sources such as hydropower, geothermal power, nuclear power, wind power and solar energy to replace fossil fuel energy in the future. In this study, development of rotating concentrator module system, development of rotating module control control system, development of lamp and charge control controller, configuration and prototype production of rotating concentrating solar LED street light system, efficiency of rotating concentrating solar LED street light, and power production. The research was conducted in the order of evaluation of comprehensive performance tests such as consumption and consumption. As a result, the developed high-efficiency rotation-concentrating hybrid solar LED street light module system has a 50% higher light-gathering efficiency than existing products by tracing sunlight by self-developing a rotation-collecting module on existing solar LED street lamps according to the characteristics of Korea's topography. and the power generation was improved by more than 40%.

The effect of artificial lights on the growth and quality of hydroponic cultivated barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) sprouts (인공조명이 수경재배 새싹보리(Hordeum vulgare L.)의 생장과 품질에 미치는 영향)

  • We analyzed the growth and quality characteristics of barley sprouts grown under artificial light sources consisting of a fluorescent lamp or light-emitting diode (LED) in an aquaculture system (grown with water only, without nutrients). At the end of the observation period, the shoots grown under the fluorescent lamp treatment were the longest, followed by the LED treatment and natural light-treatment. It was also observed that growth was faster for sprouts subjected to a non-sterilizing treatment than those subjected to a 70% ethanol treatment. As the seed sowing rate for planting trays increased, the yield of harvested barley sprouts increased; among light treatments, the natural light treatment resulted in the lowest yield, while the fluorescent light treatment resulted in the highest. The total phenol and total flavonoid contents of extracts of the barley sprouts were highest for the natural light treatment, but TEAC and FRAP were both highest for the fluorescent lamp treatment. The essential amino acid content ranged from 41.64 to 45.93 mg/g and was relatively higher for the natural light treatment than the other two treatments, while the content of non-essential amino acids was highest for the LED treatment. The total amino acid content was highest for the LED treatment at 97.47 ± 6.30 mg/g, for which the content of non-essential amino acids (53.17%) was higher than that of essential amino acids (46.83%).

A Study on Growth of the Green Leaf Lettuce Depends on PPFD and Light Quality of LED Lighting Source for Growing Plant (식물재배용 LED 광원의 광질과 PPFD에 따른 청치마상추의 성장에 관한 연구)

  • The artificial light sources for growth of plant are usually high-pressure sodium lamp, metal haloids lamp, and fluorescent light; however, these light sources have relatively weaker Red and Blue lights that are necessary for growth of plants. Especially the effect of Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density (PPFD) is pointed out as the weakness. Meanwhile, LED light source can be selected by specific wavelength to greatly improve the effect of PPFD. In this regard, this paper aims to investigate the promotion of plant growth by measuring photosynthetic photon flux density (hereafter referred to as PPFD) according to changes in light quality of the LED light sources. Towards this end, LED light sources for plant growth were produced with 4 kinds of mono-chromatic lights and 6 kinds of combined lights by mixing red, blue, green and white lights. A comparative analysis was conducted to investigate the effects of optical properties and PPFD on plants (green leaf lettuce) using the produced light sources. The results monochromatic light has fastest growth rate, but plant growth conditions have poor. This being so, mixed light is suitable for the green leaf lettuce.

Effects of Security Lighting Lamps on Discomfort Glare to Indoor Occupants

  • Purpose: Although security lights are used to secure pedestrian visibility and safety at nighttime, they can generate light trespass in the neighboring residential space. To prevent this, standards for acceptance limits on vertical illuminance and light pollution by the windows of residential buildings are presented. Method: This study thus representatively selected three types of lamps and, through an evaluation and analysis of the physical and subjective discomfort glare per lamp, proposed a discomfort glare index for each lamp. The evaluation and analysis according to the lamps were conducted through experiments. The variables were the security lights' lamps (NH 100W, MH 70W, LED 50W), installation angles ($0^{\circ}$, $20^{\circ}$), and installation distances (3m, 5m, 7m, 9m). Result: According to the results of the discomfort glare evaluation depending on the angles and distances of the security lights, the following minimum standards are proposed: for NH 100W, a discomfort glare index of 30 and an installation distance of 4m; for MH 70W, a discomfort glare index of 32 and an installation distance of 4m; and, for LED 50W, a discomfort glare index of 31 and an installation distance of 6m, respectively. In addition, this paper recommends the use of MH 70W, when the road width is 4m-6m, and LED 50W, when the road width is over 6m, respectively.

Selection of Supplemental Light Source for Greenhouse Cultivation of Pepper during Low Radiation Period through Growth and Economic Analysis (생육 및 경제성 분석을 통한 약광기 고추의 온실재배를 위한 적정 보광 광원 선정)

  • To produce a high quality crop, light is an essential environmental factor in greenhouse cultivation. In the winter season, solar radiation is weak than other season. Therefore, using supplemental light during a low radiation period can increase the crop growth and yield. This study was conducted to select the economical supplemental light source for greenhouse cultivation in pepper during the low radiation period. The green pepper (Capsicum annuum 'Super Cheongyang') was transplanted on 5 September 2019. Supplemental lighting treatment was conducted from 1 January 2020 to 31 March 2020. RB LED (red and blue LED, red:blue = 7:3), W LED (white LED, R:G:B = 5:3:2), and HPS (high-pressure sodium lamp) were used as the supplemental light source. Non-treatment was used as the control. The plant height, SPAD, and number of nodes of pepper plants have no significant differences by supplemental light sources. However, the number of ramifications plants was the greatest in RB LED light source. Moreover, supplemental lighting increased photosynthesis of the pepper plant, and especially, the RB LED had the highest photosynthesis rate during supplemental lighting period. Also, the yield of pepper increased in the supplemental lighting treatment than in the control, and the RB LED had the greatest yield than other light sources. The electricity consumption was the highest in W LED and the lowest in HPS light. Through the economic analysis, the RB LED had high economic efficiency. In conclusion, these results suggest that using RB LED for supplemental light source during low radiation in pepper greenhouse increase the yield and economic feasibility.

A study on the small Flash Lamp Design using LED (휴대폰용 소형 Flash에 적합한 LED 램프 설계 연구)

  • LED is expected as an environmentally friendly light source with its good reliability and long lifetime. A few ten mW white LED can substitute for the indicator light source, and it is required to study several watt multi-chip semiconductor light sources in order to replace the light sources for general illumination such as incandescent lights and fluorescent lamps. Since the optical technology used for several mW white LED light source uses only 30% to 50% of the light, it is required to develop the design technology of optical system and lens to improve the efficiency more than 80% for insuring the high power of white LED. In this paper, we designed and fabricated new structure reflector to increase the efficiency.

  • LED에 대한 관심과 개발이 지속되고 있는 현재 그 활용이 LCD 패널, 실내 외 조명등 실생활에 많이 이용되고 있다. 특히 실내 조명에서는 적용이 용이 하기 때문에 백열등과 형광등의 대체로 LED를 사용한다. 본 논문에서는 실내 조명 에너지 절감을 위하여 백열등 대체용 Triac 조도 제어 POWER LED 구동회로를 소개한다. Triac 위상 제어 회로는 백열등 전용으로 만들어 진 것이 대 다수이고 실내 조도 제어를 위해 많이 설치 되어 있다. Triac 위상 제어를 위한 POWER LED 구동 회로는 에너지 절감은 물론 백열등 대체 시 Triac 위상 제어 회로를 그대로 사용 할 수 있기 때문에 사회 전반에 걸쳐 사용 될 것으로 사료된다.

  • 수은이 함유된 방전등과 같은 조명기구의 사용이 제한되는 특수구역의 산업용 조명설비로 200 W 이상의 높은 소비전력의 백열등기구들이 사용되고 있다. 인공광원으로 백열전구는 매우 낮은 발광효율로 전력소모가 많고, 높은 방사열로 인해 화재의 염려가 있어 램프보호유리구를 장착하므로 낮은 조명률로 광 손실이 높게 발생한다. 또한 산업지역 내에서는 일반적으로 각종 전동기 및 공기조화 설비의 가동으로 진동이 심하며 여기에 백열전구 사용 시 당초 예상되는 수명보다 더욱 단축되고 있다. 이러한 지역에 설치된 백열등을 조명등기구 효율(Luminaire Efficacy)이 높은 친환경 에너지 절감형 차세대 광원인 LED조명등으로 대체하여 산업설비 지역 내 공급되는 조명용 소비전력을 크게 줄여 에너지 절약효과를 높임과 동시에 양호한 조명율의 LED광원을 사용함으로써 조명환경 개선에 따른 작업능률을 높이기 위해 특수지역의 산업용 LED조명등을 개발하였다.

  • As energy conservation and environmental issues are emerging as a hot topic around the world, consumers are demanding high-efficiency, eco-friendly products. In this study, the author proposed 120W LED lighting system that replace metal halide lamp (MHL) which is currently used in the industry. Furthermore, it would be possible to provide a perfect opportunity for Korea to rise as a global leader in the LED lighting industry through soundness evaluation of the LED lighting system that is applied.
