LED 조명에 대한 청색광 위험 평가 (Evaluation of Blue Light Hazards in LED Lightings)

  • 목적: 청색광 위험도의 정량적 지표인 청색광 복사휘도를 이용하여 안경원 내 LED 조명에 대한 청색광 위험도를 평가하였다. 방법: LED 조명의 분광복사휘도를 측정하고 청색광 복사휘도와 최대노출시간을 산출한 후, IEC 62471 분류기준에 따라 위험군을 분류하였다. 결과: 진열장에 사용된 황색 LED 조명, 천장에 사용된 백색 및 황색 LED 조명, 그리고 로고에 사용된 백색 LED 조명은 위험제외군 RG0로 분류되었지만, 진열장에 사용된 백색 LED 조명은 위험군 RG1으로 분류되었다. 진열장에 사용된 백색 LED 조명의 청색광 복사휘도는 형광등에 비하여 수십 배나 높은 것으로 나타났다. 결론: 청색광 복사휘도의 값을 이용하여 여러 가지 조명에 대한 청색광 위험을 정량적으로 표현할 수 있었다. 진열장용 백색 LED 조명은 높은 휘도와 색온도로 청색광 위험이 높음을 확인할 수 있었으며, 안경원 내의 조명 교체 시 장기적이 측면에서 시건강을 위해 적절한 밝기와 색온도의 조명을 선택하는 것이 필요하겠다.

Retrieval of oceanic primary production using support vector machines

  • One of the most important tasks of ocean color observations is to determine the distribution of phytoplankton primary production. A variety of bio-optical algorithms have been developed estimate primary production from these parameters. In this communication, we investigated the possibility of using a novel universal approximator-support vector machines (SVMs)-as the nonlinear transfer function between oceanic primary production and the information that can be directly retrieved from satellite data. The VGPM (Vertically Generalized Production Model) dataset was used to evaluate the proposed approach. The PPARR2 (Primary Production Algorithm Round Robin 2) dataset was used to further compare the precision between the VGPM model and the SVM model. Using this SVM model to calculate the global ocean primary production, the result is 45.5 PgC $yr^{-1}$, which is a little higher than the VGPM result.

The Impact of Total Radiation Flux on Organic Materials under LED Lighting

  • In this study, an accelerated aging experiment for fabric and paper was conducted using two light emitting diode(LED) sources with different wavelength characteristics, and the discoloration under each lighting type was examined. Hanji(Korean traditional paper) and related textiles showed more discoloration under blue LEDs, while the blue wool standard showed more discoloration under white LEDs. This, indicated that the deterioration varied depending on the sample color. The the effect of the light source on artifact deterioration was primarily related to the total radiation flux(expressed in mill watts), rather than the total luminous flux(expressed in lumens). In addition, the discoloration of the investigated artifacts was dependent on the color rendering of the lighting.

  • Design and manufacturing process of a full color LED microdislay fabricated by standard CMOS technology and containing an array of aluminum / nanostructured porous silicon reverse biased light emitting Schottky diodes will be discussed. Being of a solid state construction, this microdisplays are cost-effective, thin and light in weight due to very simple device architecture. Its benefits include also super high resolution, wide viewing angles, fast response time and wide operating temperature range. The advantages of full integration of an LED-array and driving circuitry onto a Si-chip will be also discussed.

  • This study constructs various scenarios required for landscape lighting; furthermore, a large-capacity general-purpose multifunctional controller is designed and implemented to validate the operation of the various scenarios. The multi-functional controller is a large-capacity general-purpose controller composed of a drive and control unit that controls the scenarios and colors of LED modules and an LED display unit. In addition, we conduct a computer simulation by designing a control system to represent the most appropriate color according to the input values of the temperature, illuminance, and humidity, using the neuro-control system. Consequently, when examining the result and output color according to neuro-control, unlike existing crisp logic, neuro-control does not require the storage of many data inputs because of the characteristics of artificial intelligence; the desired value can be controlled by learning with learning data.

  • Recently medical facilities that can help to heal the interpretation have evolved as a healing space. Accordingly, the patient's emotional, psychological and social ward plan to meet the needs of the patient to recover is important. The medical team is also related to the nature of human life, so they are experiencing high stress levels compared to other professionals. However, most places don't consider the user's psychological behavior. The purpose of this study is to build user-friendly lighting environment using LED lighting. LED lighting is easy to adjust illuminance and color temperature, and it is can be implemented in the medical area.

  • 본 논문에서는 파랑, 녹색, 호박색 빨강색, 백색 등 고휘도 5mm LED(light emitting diode)의 기본적인 분광분포(SED: spectral energy distribution) 특성을 분석하였으며, LED램프의 중요한 광학 특성인 광속, 효율 피크 파장$({\lambda}p)$, 가중치 평균 파장, 반치폭(FWHM, $\Delta\lambda$), 색도좌표, 주 파장, 자극순도(Pe)와 휘도순도(Pc) 등을 측정 및 실험하였다. 제시된 LED램프의 특성 데이터는 앞으로 LED램프를 사용한 새로운 조명등기구를 개발하는데 많은 도움을 줄 것이며, 이러한 측정 데이터들은 조명용 광원으로서 LED램프의 사용 대체 가능성을 나타낸다.

  • This study examined the P Church in the Large chapel and S Church in the midium chapel were Analyzed to the installed stage broadcast lighting system. As a result of the installation of lighting equipment of LED class in P Church in the Large chapel, it provided clearer image and did not have shadow. While tungsten halogen illumination was very hot and heated to be preaching, LED was not heated so the pastor was very comfortable for preaching. S Church in the Midium chapel due to low ceiling height using LED lighting musical, theater and possibly were directed. If a similar structure of Dae-Hak Street theater to replace the existing fixtures by LED lighting, rendering effective and energy saving effect is thought to have much effect.

  • 4차 산업혁명이 대두되고 있어 IoT사물인터넷이 각광받고 있다. Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy를 사용하여 LED조명이 기존의 단순한 조명역할에서 벗어나 IoT(Internet of Things)기술을 결합시켜 사용자가 손쉽게 환경변화에 의한 LED On/Off, Color Control, 밝기 조절을 통해 높은 부가가치를 실현하여 사람의 생활의 가치를 높이도록 한다. 또한, LED소자는 반영구적인 것에 비해 실제 상용화 된 LED등을 사용할 시 드라이버 회로의 문제로 인해 1년 정도의 수명을 가진다. 이러한 드라이버 회로의 문제를 개선하여 LED소자의 반영구적인 특성을 최대한 활용하여 LED조명의 수명을 높이고자 한다.

  • Recently several LCD TV makers including Samsung, LG and Sony actively have released LED LCD TV models on market. LED LCD TV is just which applied LED BLUs so that its color contrast ratio fairly enhance up to 1 million:1 and its thickness minimize to a few mm. Even this aspect seems somewhat to be each panel maker's strategies for prior market occupations on whole TV market. Without regard to the reasons, we do obviously meet a new era of technically advanced LCD TV. However we have still lots of problems or issues which we must overcome technically including LED chip/packaging process, secondary optics treatment, heat managements and cost reduction issues. Here I would like to forecast market volume and trend of LED LCD TV first and then discuss above almost of technical issues and suggest their possible solutions. Even these solutions looks better technologies and if they may increase production cost significantly, we will not prefer to choice that technology since lower cost policy can open the market. Finally I'm trying to suggest how well LED, as future light source, can apply to future LCD TV technologies.
