Improve the Efficiency of Hybrid Solar LED Street Lamp Controller (하이브리드 태양광 LED 가로등 컨트롤러의 효율 개선)

  • We develop the 60 W class hybrid solar LED street lamp controller. The controller is providing power via an inverter in the day with the least solar cell and battery and charging the battery for the ESS, acts as a power failure, the built-in battery. Rated output of the fabricated LED street lamp is 300 W or greater battery capacity 300 Wh, discharge time 10 hr, LED street lamp efficiency showed a very high level of light efficiency by about 127 lm/W. In addition, as a result of light distribution pattern according to the distance and the light intensity measurement will be able to ensure a very high quality, show the constant brightness in the distance from the road lights 6 m is about 35~40 lux in uniformity ratio. The proposed hybrid solar LED street lamp system showed a high energy capacity of approximately 1.5 to 152.7% power generation efficiency than typical conventional solar street lamp.

  • The number of cyclists is on the steady growing for leisure, sports and transportation with the increasing interest in health and environment. However, the number of cycling accidents is also increasing steadily due to the lack of safety awareness and regulations. Focusing on these issues, we propose and develop the smart LED cycling helmet in order to reduce a risk of cycling accident. To provide the motion information of the bicycle for others, we attach the LEDs on the helmet and control the LED lights using Arduino. The motion information is displayed on the LED helmet by using sensors of the smartphone. Communication between Arduino and the smartphone is performed through Bluetooth.

  • Recently, techniques for detecting the movement of the object of energy saving, impact prevention, such as automatic door opening and closing has been applied to various fields. Doppler sensor does not receive a large impact on the environment, such as conventional infrared ray sensor, a problem with an ultrasonic sensor as a sensor which can compensate the temperature, noise, dust and so on. In this paper, when the object to be detected, the LED lamp is turned on 24 hours a Doppler sensor ON, if not switch to the OFF state, the illumination of the LED lamp has been developed for controlling the two-stage converter. Doppler sensor developed by applying the converter module and the power-saving control section leader and demonstrated the power savings.

A Study on Optical Seemless of Discrete LED panels with Focusing Effect of prism Structure (프리즘 구조의 집광효과를 이용한 이산형 LED 패널의 광학적 연속성 구현에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we introduce a method of light focusing effect using prism structure to solve optical discontinuity of conventional external signage LED panels. The prims structures were patterned on a transparent polycarbonate substrate with MEMS and femto-second laser process. We have confirmed that the patterned prism structures on the substrate made artificial LED lights on empty space between the panels by light guide effect of the structure. The artificial light's lateral positions were controlled by thickness of polycarbonate substrate. This cost effective prim patterned transparent film can be utilized on digital signage LED panels to achieve good optical communication.

  • Since brightness is proportional to the operating current, a method of connecting several LEDs in series and driving with a constant current source is widely used for driving circuits of LED lights. Because several LEDs are connected in series, if some LEDs open due to a fault, the current path is broken and all other LEDs connected in series are turned off. In this paper, we designed a circuit to solve this problem by connecting a Zener diode having a breakdown voltage of about 0.4V higher than the LED operating voltage in parallel with each LED to create a current bypass in case of LED failure. Through simulations and experiments, it was confirmed that the current of the Zener diode hardly flows when the LED is operating normally, and that the Zener diode stably operates as a current bypass when the LED fails.

  • In this paper, we constructed using a Cortex M3 microcontroller developed by ARM Inc. as a way to control the LED light more efficiently. And Using the short-range wireless communication by the Bluetooth communication method applied to control the LED light was configured to wirelessly control the wireless circuits. In this paper, users can easily download and easy to wirelessly control the LED lighting control circuit to design an Android application from Android-based smartphone so that you can control with your smartphone to have anyone to control the LED lighting control circuit wirelessly. If the LED lights radio control circuit is configured with the Cortex M3 in this paper is applicable to both indoor and outdoor and eco-friendly technology, is using LED driver to enhance the efficiency of the LED becomes stable voltage supply is made, the brightness of LED lighting control.

  • Recently, autonomous vehicles have been studied actively. There are various technologies such as ITS, Connected Car, V2X and ADAS in order to realize such autonomous driving. Among these technologies, it is particularly important to recognize where the vehicle is on the road in order to change the lane and drive to the destination. Generally, it is done through GPS and camera image processing. However, there are limitations on the reliability of the positioning due to shaded areas such as tunnels in the case of GPS, and there are limitations in recognition and positioning according to the state of the road lane and the surrounding environment when performing the camera image processing. In this paper, we propose that LED lights should be installed for autonomous vehicles in tunnels which are shaded area of the GPS. In this paper, we show that it is possible to measure the position of the current lane of the autonomous vehicle by analyzing the color temperature after constructing the tunnel LED lighting simulation environment which illuminates light of different color temperature by lane. Based on the above, this paper proposes a lane positioning technique using tunnel LED lights.

  • This paper dealt with the LED optical illumination system design for the Masthead navigation light to replace halogen lamps. We made Fresnel lens satisfy luminous intensity distribution of "Convention on the International Regulation for Preventing Collisions at Sea(COLREG)". The optical system is designed by classifying three parts: light source, lens, and cut off plate. The source of light has been made to have the uniform horizontal and vertical light distribution by placing 6 LEDs at intervals of $54^{\circ}$, and as the cylindrical Fresnel lens, the lens has been designed to achieve the uniform horizontal and vertical light distribution in the range of plain light. Finally, the cover has been designed to block the light from the outside of plain light and ultimately met the standards for light distribution of navigation lights. In addition, the validity of design has been verified with manufacturing a trial product.

In this paper, Propose an Emotional-lighting control algorithm using bio-signals. LED lighting for Emotion light is environmentally friendly and has a high efficiency and long life. In particular, LED lights are different colors represent the possible single light sphere advantages. And, Human sensitivity for determining a more accurate biological signals using EEG was collected using EEG equipment sensitivity was determined to analyze the EEG.

Attract effect of mushroom flies with different wavelength of light emitting diode(LED) (파장별 LED 광이 버섯파리의 유인에 미치는 영향)

  • The attractions of Lycoriella ingenua to different LED light sources were investigated in the mushroom cultivations which were located in Yongin of Gyeonggi-do province and Buyeo of Chungcheongnam-do Province. The LED light sources which were used in the investigations were white, green, red, blue and orange. Numbers of Lycoriella ingenua to LED lights in Yongin and Buyeo were 132.9 and 3,272.5 to white LED source, 120.3 and 3,109.5 to green LED source, 105.5 and 1,910.1 to red LED source, 88.3 and 2,708.3 to blue LED source and 46.7 and 2,465.5 to orange LED source, respectively. The numbers of Lycoriella ingenua to LED light sources were 2.7~3.5 times higher than the ones of untreated.
