The effect of different colored light emitting diode illumination on egg laying performance, egg qualities, blood hormone levels and behavior patterns in Brown Tsaiya duck

  • Objective: The objective of this experiment was to investigate the effects of different colors produced by light emitting diode (LED) on Brown Tsaiya ducks. Methods: A total of 144 female Brown Tsaiya ducks were randomly allocated into three individual cage rearing chambers with different LED illumination colors as treatments. Three different treatments were: i) white color, ii) blue color, and iii) red color. The experiment periods were from ducks 21 to 49 weeks of age, determined traits included i) egg laying performance, ii) feed intake, iii) egg shell breaking strength, iv) egg shell thickness, v) egg Haugh unit, vi) egg weight, vii) serum Estradiol and Progesterone concentration, and viii) behavior pattern. Results: The results indicated that when compared with white and blue color, red color could stimulate ducks sexual maturation and raised the egg laying performance. The red light group was also observed to have the highest feed intake among three treatments. The blue treatment had the lowest egg shell breaking strength and the highest egg weight among three treatments, nevertheless, no significant difference was observed among three treatments on egg shell thickness and egg Haugh unit. The red light group had higher serum estradiol concentration than the white and blue groups, but no significant difference among treatments on the serum Progesterone concentration was found. The results of behavior pattern indicated that red light group showed more feeding and less resting behavior compared to the blue light group. Conclusion: We found a potential of applying red light illumination in the indoor laying duck raising system with positive results on egg laying performance and acceptable egg weight, equivalent egg qualities compared to white and blue light.

편백나무로 제작된 힐링 침대에서의 색체 자극이 스트레스 완화에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Stress Reduction on Color Stimulus Using Healing Bed in Cypress Tree)

  • 본 연구에서는 삼림욕을 즐기는 것과 같은 편안한 상태의 휴식을 유도하기 위하여 편백나무를 이용하여 힐링 침대 시스템과 색체자극을 위한 LED 감성 모듈을 개발하였고, 8가지 조명과 3가지 색온도의 색체 자극에 따른 휴식이 스트레스 완화에 미치는 효과를 비교 분석하였다. 피험자는 건강한 20대 성인 남여 7명(age $23.3{\pm}0.7yr$; height $165{\pm};10cm$ body mass $59{\pm}10kg$)을 대상으로 하였으며, 8가지 색상(red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, white)과 3가지 색온도(3,000K, 5,000K, 8,000K)에 따른 휴식 시 심박변이도, 피험자의 주관적 인지평가를 진행하였다. 그 결과, 심박변이도의 경우 한색계열인 green, blue, indigo의 조명과 3000K의 낮은 온도 조명이 부교감신경을 활성화시켜 심리적으로 안정되는 결과를 얻었으며, 피험자가 주관적으로 느끼는 인지시간의 결과 동일 시간을 자극받았을 지라도 green 색상과 3,000K 온도 자극 시 인지 시간이 가장 느렸으며, 감성어휘 평가에서는 orange 색상과 3,000K온도에서 가장 높은 점수를 얻었다. 따라서, 본 연구 결과 3,000K의 낮은 온도자극과 green 색상 자극 시 심리정 안정이 가장 높은 결과를 얻었으며, 추후 연구에서는 작업 환경에 따른 조명 자극 시 피로도 회복과 뇌파 변화를 비교 분석 할 것이다.

The Detection Distance of Colored Target using Various Automotive Headlamps

  • As headlamp technology advances, newly developed various headlamps were introduced in the market. The objective of this study is to quantitatively analyze the detection distance of the recently developed LED headlamps and existing headlamps, complying with specific technical standard. Background: The detection distance of headlamps is very important to prevent automobile accident at night time. The studies of detection distance of LED, Halogen and HID headlamp have been conducted, but no study has shown the detection distance of pedestrian target with various colors (Black, White, Blue). Method: The experiment of detection distance was conducted with 30 people, which divide into 2 groups as 15 men and 15 women. Automatic transferable target on the rail was manufactured in order to reduce the error of study's result, and ANOVA also conducted to analyze the main effect with sign color, sex and headlamp classified by detection distance. In addition, the luminance by average detection distance was measured as well. Results: The detection distance of headlamps was HID > LED > Halogen. The luminance measure of LED headlamp was lower than HID and Halogen headlamps. Conclusion: The headlamp performs a very significant role for safety at night time but it needs to be improved through assessment of visual characteristics. Also, it needs to be suggested the need of test method for dynamic detection distance concerning technical development is suggested.

LED 통신 기반 멀티 홉 오디오 데이터 전송네트워크시스템 (LED Communication based Multi-hop Audio Data Transmission Network System)

  • 본 논문에서는 LED 통신 기반 멀티 홉 오디오 데이터 전송네트워크 시스템을 제안개발 한다. 제안된 시스템의 주요한 기여도 및 특징은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 본 연구의 기여도는 LED 통신 기반으로 멀티 홉을 경유하여 오디오 데이터를 장거리 전송이 가능한 전송네트워크시스템을 개발하는 것이다. 둘째, 개발된 시스템의 특징은 전송부에서 오디오 데이터는 S/PDIF 포맷으로 인코딩 되어 보통의 LED로 통해 전송된다. 릴레이에서는 디지털 오디오 신호를 포토다이오드로 데이터를 수신 받아 에러체크 및 증폭을 하여 수신부로 전송한다. 수신부에서는 포토다이오드로부터 받은 인코딩된 오디오 데이터를 디코딩 및 증폭을 하여 아날로그 오디오 신호로 컨버팅을 한다. 제안된 시스템의 성능평가는 형광등이 켜져 있는 실험실에서 진행되었다. 성능평가 결과 제안된 시스템이 홉 간 거리가 긴 멀티 홉 네트워크 환경에서 고음질의 오디오 신호를 효과적으로 전송할 수 있었다. 반면에 사용된 다양한 LED들의 색깔에 따라서 오디오 데이터의 전송 음질에 차이가 있음을 확인 하였다.

LED감성조명 장치 개발을 통한 뇌파분석 (LED Sensitive Light System Development by Brain-wave)

  • 본 논문은 LED감성조명장치를 개발하여 뇌파 파장과 조명의 색온도 변화에 따른 상관관계를 뇌파실험을 통해 측정하였다. 이를 위해 장치개발을 통한 열 해석과 뇌파실험의 두 부분으로 실험을 하였다. LED감성조명장치의 모듈은 메탈 PCB에 Chip LED를 배치하여 COMSOL Multiphysics로 열 해석 결과 LED와 PCB의 경계면 온도는 약 $80^{\circ}C$이며, PCB의 바닥면까지는 약 $50^{\circ}C$까지 변화함을 검증 하였으며, 결과적으로 실 제작의 근사치에 가까운 방열설계가 가능함이 확인 및 적합한 조명기구로 판정되었으며, 뇌파측정을 위해 색온도를 $2,300^{\circ}K$, $4,000^{\circ}K$, $6,000^{\circ}K$ 세가지 조건으로 피 실험자의 기본상태(휴식, 주의력, 집중력)를 측정 하였으며 그 결과 색온도가 낮을수록 편안함과 안락함을 느낀다는 것을 검증 할 수 있었다. $4,000^{\circ}K$의 조건으로 실험을 했을 때 주의력의 지수가 약간 높아짐을 볼 수 있는데 이는 $4,000^{\circ}K$가 우뇌의 기능을 활성화 시킬 수 있는 추론이 가능하며 $6,000^{\circ}K$이상에서는 일반 형광등 아래의 색온도와 유사함으로 상태가 변화되지 않았음을 알 수 있었다.

  • Internet shopping has transformed our daily lives as well as the pattern of consumption. In the word, the development and the growth of online shopping site have led to new pattern of consumption. This applies in particular to clothing, among the product on sale, on the internet. The purpose of this research is to analyze the characteristic of colors and images on internet fashion soho mall web site, and to provide efficient color information which is usefull in color planning and suitable for brand image on fashion web site. 147 color sample used by 40 fashion soho mall web site were collected and analyzed. The results of this study are as follows. First, dominant color on fashion web site is static color as black and it's ratio is 33$\%$. Second, G color is not used. Third, Hue and tone mainly used It tone of P color except V tone. And the color image on internet fashion soho mall web site are modern, chic, dandy, formal. Results from analyzing the fashion soho mall Web site. it is important to unity the company's image but its more important to make a color plan considering the sites feature and the customers's sensitivity.

구스타브 클림트[Gustav Klimt]의 개혁의상에 관한 연구 (The Study on the Reformative Costume of Gustav Klimt)

  • This paper is a perspectiveon the reformative costume expressed by Gustav Klimt who led the Secession Movement as a great master in Vienna. Klimt actively expressed a new costume style in his paintings, which influenced heavily on the modern costume design. This paper may contribute to reestablish the constructive direction for the 21st century fashion design based on Klimt's pursuing holistic art concept. The reformative costume in Klimt's paintings has two characteristics; ornamentism, eroticism, and reformativeness. Ornamentism is expressed with fantastic colors, various motives, exotic features, simple style clothes, and so on. Klimt used independent ornaments to express carnal desires metaphorically, which set ornaments free to lead spectators to the dreamy or elusive state and even have spectators indulged in ecstasy. As the Secession Movement focused on reforming all areas of life artistically, the costumes of Klimt's paintings symbolically express the reformativeness; he portrayed the woman in the early 20th century and sought to reform its contemporary value as a visual sensuality. Klimt tried to disrupt from the former era by over-emphasizing eroticism. The erotic expression with the colors and the style of ornaments substitute naturally for suggestive eroticism of the feminine body. With has creativity, Klimt has spectators extract the various senses from the female image in his paintings. Klimt's creative spirit on the holistic art concept could be helpful to develop a unique design as a catalyst foreseeing over the present.

Bio-functionalized Gold Nanoparticles for Surface-Plasmon- Absorption-Based Protein Detection

  • Bio-functionalized gold nanoparticles (AuNPs), which bio-specifically interact with biotin-(strept)avidin, were investigated in this study. AuNPs were functionalized with a synthetically-provided biotin-linked thiol (BLT), which was synthesized by amidation of the active ester of biotin with 2-mercaptoethylamine. The BLT-attached AuNP was bio-specific for streptavidin, making it potentially useful for biosensor applications. To test the bio-specific interactions, the colors, absorption spectra and TEM images were investigated for proteins such as streptavidin, cytochrome C, myoglobin and hemoglobin. The colors and absorption spectra changed when streptavidin was added to the BLT-attached AuNP solution. However, the color and spectra did not change when the other proteins were added to the same solution. These results show that the AuNPs provided a colloidal solution with excellent stability and highly selective absorption characteristics for streptavidin as a target molecule. Proteins were also screened in order to identify a general strategy for the use of optical biosensing proteins based on AuNPs. In addition, TEM images confirmed that streptavidin led the BLT-attached AuNPs to aggregate or precipitate.

미래주의 예술 의상 투타의 조형성 연구 (A Study on the Formativeness of Tuta, an Artistic Clothing Influenced by Futurism)

  • Futurists put forward creative fashion by combining art and functionality. This led to a new aesthetic approach in how we view modernized industrial cities. Ernesto Thayaht, a futurist, introduced the "Tuta", which was simple and practical clothes. Tuta expressed the imagination and aesthetic values of Futurism. The characteristics of the Tuta were categorized into the following: Form, Colors, Materials, and Details. The results of examining its characteristics as follows: Tuta had a linear and simple planar pattern, which could be made with one cloth. The same modernized urban colors were used for the top and the bottom. Practical Materials, such as cotton and linen were used because they were easy to wash. Tuta excluded unnecessary ornaments, and only included functional details that would allow for comfortable movement. These design characteristics of Tuta revealed functionality, popularity, modernity, and innovativeness of formativeness. Tuta presented a new model of fashion in the early 20th century and completed the modernization of clothes. Tuta reflected the democratic and equal spirit of the era by innovating and overcoming the structure and form of conventional clothing.

국내 특급호텔 웨딩공간의 인테리어 코디네이션 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Interior Coordination of Wedding Spacesin First Grade Hotels in Korea)

  • The main consumers of wedding market are young people. They prefer differentiated and unique wedding and with the deregulation of using five-star hotels as wedding spaces in 1999, the wedding market has entered into an era of new competition. Under the background like above, this study tries to provide the basis for the effective and systematic interior coordination of wedding spaces. For this study, large banquet halls at 16 five-star hotels in Seoul were selected. Theoretical and field examinations, and interviews were conducted. The elements of wedding space include the architectural elements of floor, walls, and ceiling and lighting, color, fabric, table setting, and flower coordination. This study found that uniformity or repetition is used for the walls while modules are used for the ceiling. Unlike the past, LED is used for lighting to create diverse colors and the range of colors used has been broadened. In addition, fabric, table setting, and flowers are used actively to create overall atmosphere of the space. When these elements are aggregated and analyzed by hotel for interior design style, Hotels H and S have modern style, Hotels L and P have elegant style and Hotel IP have classical style.
