  • 최근 에너지 저장장치의 사용과 신재생에너지를 이용한 분산발전의 규모가 점차 확대됨에 따라 계통에 원활한 전류주입과 주입 전류의 스위칭 고조파 리플성분 저감을 위해 LCL 필터를 이용한 계통연계형 인버터가 널리 사용되고 있다. 이러한 계통연계형 인버터의 주입전류 특성은 LCL 필터에 종속적이기 때문에 정밀한 주입전류제어를 위해 LCL 필터의 정확한 해석이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 명확한 LCL 필터 해석을 위해 LCL 필터의 인덕터 직렬 내부저항을 고려한 LCL 필터 특성을 해석하였으며, 이러한 해석을 기반으로 LCL필터 공진현상에 따른 주입전류의 THD를 저감하기 위한 인덕터 가상 직렬저항 능동댐핑 기법을 제안하고 HILS 실험을 통해 제안하는 능동댐핑 기법의 성능을 검증하였다.

  • Recently, the use of LLCL filters for grid inverters has been suggested to give better harmonic attenuation than the commonly used L and LCL filters, particularly around the switching frequency. Nevertheless, this filter is mainly designed for constant switching frequency pulse width modulation (CSF PWM) methods. In variable switching frequency PWM (VSF PWM), the harmonic components are distributed across a wide frequency band which complicates the use of a high order filter, including LCL and LLCL filters. Recently, a confined band variable switching frequency (CB-VSF) PWM method has been proposed and demonstrated to be superior to the conventional constant switching frequency (CSF) PWM in terms of switching losses. However, the applicability of LLCL filters for this type of CB-VSF PWM has not been discussed. In this paper, the authors study the suitability of an LLCL filter for CB-VSF PWM and propose design guidelines for the filter parameters. Using simulation and experimental results, it is demonstrated that the effectiveness of an LLCL filter with CB-VSF PWM depends on the parameters of the filters as well as the designed variable frequency band of the PWM. Simulation results confirm the performance of the suggested LLCL design, which is further validated using a lab scale prototype.

  • Previous publications regarding the design and specifications of input filters for STATCOMs usually deal with the input filter only, and seldom pay any attention to the influence of the input filters on the performance of the STATCOM systems. A detailed analysis of the influences of input filters on the stability of STATCOM systems and the corresponding design considerations are presented in this paper. Three types of input filters, L filters, LC filters, and LCL filters, are examined separately. The influences of the parameters of input filters on system stability are investigated through frequency domain methods. With direct current control taken as the major control strategy for the STATCOMs, the different situations when adopting different current detection points are covered in this analysis. A comparison between LC filters and LCL filters is also presented with optimized filter parameters. Based on the analysis, the phase margin, as one of the design considerations for the different types of input filters under different current detection schemes, is discussed. This leads to filter parameters that are different than those of the traditional design. Hardware experimental results verify the validity of the above analysis and design.

  • A new design method for the LCL filters of three-phase voltage source PWM rectifiers is presented in this paper. Based on the single-phase harmonic equivalent model, the harmonic voltage of the rectifier side is calculated to design the LCL filter parameters by an iterative algorithm, in which the resonance frequency $f_{res}$ and the ratio r between the grid-side inductance and the rectifier-side inductance are selected as known constants. The design criteria and process are introduced and the influence on the design result by the value of the resonance frequency $f_{res}$, ratio r is analyzed. Finally an example (600V, 500kW) is tested by simulation and experiment to verify the validity of the new design method.

  • 본 논문에서는 필터 임피던스와 공진주파수를 고려한 계통연계형 인버터의 LCL 필터 설계기법을 제안한다. 일반적으로 계통연계 인버터는 고속 스위칭으로 인한 고조파 전류가 출력단에 포함된다. 이러한 고조파를 감소시키기고 출력을 정현파로 만들기 위해 출력단에 수동필터가 사용된다. 제안하는 필터 설계 기법은 필터 인덕턴스를 최소화 할 수 있다. 따라서 수동필터의 부피를 감소시키고 DC링크 전압 이용률 손실을 최소로 할 수 있다. 제안하는 방법으로 LCL 필터를 설계하고 실험을 통해 설계 방법의 타당성을 검증하였다.

  • 계통 연계형 발전시스템은 스위칭 주파수를 기본으로 하는 배수 고조파들이 발생한다. 이 때 인버터의 출력 전류 고조파는 계통의 전력품질에 영향을 주므로 저역통과 필터를 이용하여 제거해 주어야 한다. 일반적으로 사용하는 L, LC필터는 구성이 간단하고 제어가 용이한 장점이 있지만 동적특성이 좋지 않고 필터의 성능향상을 위해서는 인덕턴스를 증가시켜야 하기 때문에 필터의 부피가 커지는 단점을 가지고 있다. 이에 반해 LCL필터는 LC필터에 비해 더 낮은 용량으로 높은 고조파 감쇄 효과를 구현 할 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 그리고 2레벨 인버터에 비해 3레벨 인버터는 높은 효율과 낮은 THD발생으로 계통 연계 시스템에 많이 적용되고 있다. 본 눈문에서는 계통연계형 3레벨 인버터의 LCL필터 설계를 하여 이를 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통하여 타당성을 검증한다.

  • 본 논문에서는, PWM 컨버터의 교류 전원 인터페이스를 위한 LCL 필터 설계에 대해 기술한다. 새로운 형태의 LCL 필터 전류 제어기를 소개하고 기존의 전류 제어 방식을 통한 필터 설계 값에 제안된 제어 기법을 적용 시켜 전류 제어 결과를 분석한 후, 제안된 제어기를 통한 필터 설계 측면에서의 유연성 및 용이함에 대해 언급한다. 분석의 타당성을 입증하기 위해 모의 실험 결과를 첨부하였다.

Fast-Transient Repetitive Control Strategy for a Three-phase LCL Filter-based Shunt Active Power Filter

  • A fast-transient repetitive control strategy for a three-phase shunt active power filter is presented in this study to improve dynamic performance without sacrificing steady-state accuracy. The proposed approach requires one-sixth of the fundamental period required by conventional repetitive control methods as the repetitive control time delay in the synchronous reference frames. Therefore, the proposed method allows the system to achieve a fast dynamic response, and the program occupies minimal storage space. A proportional-integral regulator is also added to the current control loop to eliminate arbitrary-order harmonics and ensure system stability under severe harmonic distortion conditions. The design process of the corrector in the fast-transient repetitive controller is also presented in detail. The LCL filter resonance problem is avoided by the appropriately designed corrector, which increases the margin of system stability and maintains the original compensation current tracking accuracy. Finally, experimental results are presented to verify the feasibility of the proposed strategy.

  • A novel active damping strategy for the LCL filter resonance is proposed using the grid current and the capacitor voltage. The proposed technique is deduced in the continuous time domain and a discussion for its discrete implementation is presented. According to the proposed technique, instability of the open loop system, which results in non-minimum phase behavior, can be avoided over wide range of resonant frequencies. Moreover, straightforward co-design steps for both the fundamental current regulator and the active damping loops can be used. A numerical example along with experimental results are introduced to validate the proposed strategy performance over wide range of resonant frequencies.

  • Recently, the real time simulator to develop the inverter drive board and motor control algorithm for high power induction motor and PM synchronous motor is required. In this paper, the real time simulator based on the voltage control for a PM synchronous motor is proposed. The resistor, inductor, and the induced voltage for the modeling of a PM synchronous motor is implemented by the power converter including the LCL filter and the PWM rectifier. The induced voltage of a PM synchronous motor is simulated by the capacitor voltage of the LCL filter, which is controlled by PI voltage controller and the deadbeat current controller. The operation and the simulated characteristics of the proposed real time simulator for a PM synchronous motor is verified by the simulation.
