듣기 전략 사용 선호도가 TOEIC 듣기 성취도에 미치는 영향과 매개 변인과의 관계 (The effects of using listening comprehension strategies on TOEIC listening comprehension and moderator model)

  • This study attempts to provide a comprehensive framework for listening strategy use among university students in Korea in relation to TOEIC listening scores. In particular, this study tests whether motivation, based on the self-determination theory, mediates listening strategy use on listening comprehension (LC) process and whether reading comprehension ability moderates the use of listening strategy in LC achievement. One hundred seventy six freshmen students participated in the study during their first semester required English course. Self-report questionnaires were used to assess students' motivation and LC strategy use. The responses were statistically analyzed via the moderator and mediator model. The results indicate that internalized motivation mediates the use of listening strategy in LC achievement; however, reading comprehension skill doesn't affect students' use of listening strategies in relation to listening skill achievement. In other words, students who have internalized motivation were able to utilize listening strategies effectively in terms of achievement of the TOEIC listening skills. The findings of the current study offer in-depth understanding of the relationship among use of LC strategies, intrinsic motivation, and listening skill achievement shared by the mediator and moderator models.

청진 훈련 모형용 청음판 검출 알고리즘 개발 (The Development of Chestpiece Detecting Techniques for Physical Assessment Trainer)

  • The control system of human torso model and driving system of stethoscope for physical assessment trainer are developed. The detecting characteristics of circular pickup coil which is driven by square wave voltage signal with resonance frequency of LC circuits are investigated and it is confirmed that the pickup coil can detect the existence of chestpiece near the coil region. The control system of human torso model is composed of 8 channel pickup coils, Mp3 and Bluetooth module. The driving system of stethoscope is composed of chestpiece with contact switch and Bluetooth headset. The chestpiece detecting algorithm check the contact of chestpiece with human body model first and excite the pickup coil sequentially to find the location. The proposed system can be applied the physical assessment trainer.

지면경계조건이 UM을 이용한 동아시아 여름철 단기예보에 미치는 영향 (Impacts of Land Surface Boundary Conditions on the Short-range weather Forecast of UM During Summer Season Over East-Asia)

  • In this study, the impacts of land surface conditions, land cover (LC) map and leaf area index (LAI), on the short-range weather forecast over the East-Asian region were examined using Unified Model (UM) coupled with the MOSES 2.2 (Met-Office Surface Exchange Scheme). Four types of experiments were performed at 12-km horizontal resolution with 38 vertical layers for two months, July and August 2009 through consecutive reruns of 72-hour every 12 hours, 00 and 12 UTC. The control experiment (CTRL) uses the original IGBP (International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme) LC map and old MODIS (MODerate resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer) LAI, the new LAI experiment (NLAI) uses improved monthly MODIS LAI. The new LC experiment (NLCE) uses KLC_v2 (Kongju National Univ. land cover), and the new land surface experiment (NLSE) uses KLC_v2 and new LAI. The reduced albedo and increased roughness length over southern part of China caused by the increased broadleaf fraction resulted in increase of land surface temperature (LST), air temperature, and sensible heat flux (SHF). Whereas, the LST and SHF over south-eastern part of Russia is decreased by the decreased needleleaf fraction and increased albedo. The changed wind speed induced by the LC and LAI changes also contribute the LST distribution through the change of vertical mixing and advection. The improvement of LC and LAI data clearly reduced the systematic underestimation of air temperature over South Korea. Whereas, the impacts of LC and LAI conditions on the simulation skills of precipitation are not systematic. In general, the impacts of LC changes on the short range forecast are more significant than that of LAI changes.

프록시 모바일 IPv6 네트워크에서 저비용의 글로벌 이동성관리 기법 (LC-GM2: Low-Cost Global Mobility Management Scheme in Proxy Mobile IPv6 Networks)

  • 본 논문에서는 PMIPv6를 기반으로 하는 LC-$GM^2$라는 저비용의 글로벌 이동성관리 아키텍처와 프로토콜 절차를 제안한다. LC-$GM^2$의 구성은 여러PMIPv6 의 로컬 도메인과 계층적 구조로 코어 네트워크로 연결되어 있다. LC-$GM^2$에서 이동성 관리는 도메인 내에서의 모바일 노드(MN)의 이동은 PMIPv6의 이동성관리 방법으로 수행되며 도메인간으로 이동할 때는 홈 네트워크 모바일 액세스 게이트웨이(MAG)가 이동 네트워크의 지역 모바일 앵커(LMA)에 직접 프록시 바인딩 업데이트(PBU)를 수행하여 코어 네트워크(CN)의 게이트웨이를 통한 패킷 전송을 수행하는 네트워크 엔티티 관점으로 수행된다. 분석 모델로 유체 흐름 이동성 모델을 기반으로 위치 업데이트 비용, 패킷 전달 및 총 비용 함수의 다양한 시스템 매개변수의 영향 이용하여 계층적 모바일 IPv6(HMIPv6) 이동성관리 프로토콜과 GPMIP 아키텍처와 비교 분석한다. 수학적 분석의 결과는 다른 글로벌 이동성관리 기법들 간의 비용 분석의 결과를 통하여 제안된 글로벌 이동성관리 기법(LC-$GM^2$)이 전체적인 비용측면에서 상당히 우수하다는 것을 보여준다.

6-Parametric factor model with long short-term memory

  • As life expectancies increase continuously over the world, the accuracy of forecasting mortality is more and more important to maintain social systems in the aging era. Currently, the most popular model used is the Lee-Carter model but various studies have been conducted to improve this model with one of them being 6-parametric factor model (6-PFM) which is introduced in this paper. To this new model, long short-term memory (LSTM) and regularized LSTM are applied in addition to vector autoregression (VAR), which is a traditional time-series method. Forecasting accuracies of several models, including the LC model, 4-PFM, 5-PFM, and 3 6-PFM's, are compared by using the U.S. and Korea life-tables. The results show that 6-PFM forecasts better than the other models (LC model, 4-PFM, and 5-PFM). Among the three 6-PFMs studied, regularized LSTM performs better than the other two methods for most of the tests.

KORMARC에서의 개체 간 관계 기술 방안 연구 (A Study on the Method for Recording Relationships with Related Entities in KORMARC Format)

  • IFLA의 FRBR 모형이 발표된 후 개체관계 중심의 데이터 구조로의 전환이 본격화되고 있다. 국내에서도 이러한 국제적인 동향을 반영하여 2024년 5월에 한국목록규칙(KCR) 제5판 초안을 발표하였다. 이 연구는 관련 있는 개체를 서로 연결함으로써 이용자들이 개체 간 관계를 이해하고 탐색을 확장해 나가는데 사용되는 '관계'에 주목하였다. 이를 위해, (1) 개념모형과 RDA 목록규칙에 정의된 개체 간 관계의 유형을 살펴보고, (2) RDA에 근거하여 MARC21에 관계를 표현한 실제 사례를 LC와 PCC를 중심으로 분석한 후 (3) 이에 근거하여 KORMARC에 적용하기 위한 실무적 방안과 과제에 대해 논의하였다. 연구에 필요한 데이터는 RDA 교육자료와 LC와 PCC의 입력지침 등을 활용하되, LC와 PCC 참여도서관의 서지레코드와 전거레코드를 사례로 참고하였다. 이 연구는 새로운 서지구조에 대한 이해의 폭을 넓히고, 특히 국내에서는 거의 논의되어 있지 않았던 개체 간 관계를 KORMARC에 수용하기 위한 방안을 제안함으로써 향후 BIBFRAME과 같은 차세대 서지구조로의 전환에 대비하고자 하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

Modeling of the defect on the slit in Patterned Vertical Aligned (PVA) LC Cell using the fast Q-tensor method

  • In this paper we model the liquid crystal director field in the Patterned Vertical Alignment (PVA) LC using the fast Q-tensor method, which can model multidimensional director configurations with defects in the liquid crystal director field. We observed the dynamic behaviors of the defect experimentally by applying the voltage and modeled the LC director field with defect in the active area of the PVA cell. As a result, we could also calculate the optical transmittance.

Diffraction Analysis of LC Gratings based on Linearly Graded Phase Model for Surface Anchoring Energies

  • We reported the diffraction analysis of the liquid crystal (LC) binary gratings and the surface anchoring energies for planar and homeotropic alignments. The planar and homeotropic anchoring energies were directly derived based on the linearly distorted director distribution near domain boundaries, in which the distorted lengths correspond to the extrapolation lengths into both planar and homeotropic regions. From the diffraction analysis for the LC binary gratings with various grating periods based on the linearly graded phase model, both distorted lengths into planar and homeotropic regions were simultaneously obtained. In this work, the planar and homeotropic anchoring energies were found to be about $1.4\;{\times}\;10^{-4}\;J/m^2$ and $0.9\;{\times}\;10^{-5}\;J/m^2$, respectively.

  • The response time characteristic of low voltage liquid crystals (LCs) is investigated and a new simulator for low voltage LCs is proposed. In order to enable low voltage operation, it is important to minimize Vth of LCs and variation of pixel voltage caused by dynamic capacitance operation of LC Display. Because dynamic capacitance variation is much larger for low voltage LC operation compared to that of conventional LC material, it is necessary to make a better model for dynamic capacitance operation. A proposed minimizing Vth of LCs and variation of pixel voltage study results through a new constant charge model improve response characteristics for low voltage LCs operation.

시계열 이용기간에 따른 사망률 예측 비교 (A comparison of mortality projection by different time period in time series)

  • 우리나라의 경우 선진국에 비해 짧은 기간 동안 사망률 개선이 급속히 이루어짐에 따라 사망률 예측에 있어 모형의 선택뿐만 아니라 시계열 이용기간의 선정 또한 중요한 고려사항이 될 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 시계열 이용기간의 선택 관점에서 회귀모형을 이용하는 방법을 제안하였다. 또한 Lee-Carter (LC) 모형, LC류 (Lee-Miller (LM), Booth-Maindonald-Smith (BMS)) 그리고 비모수 모형(functional data model (FDM), Coherent FDM)을 토대로 시계열 이용기간을 다르게 적용할 경우 어떠한 문제가 발생되며, 연령별 사망률과 기대수명 예측력에 어떠한 차이를 보이는지 살펴보았다. 분석결과를 바탕으로 5개의 모형별 2030년까지 남녀의 연령별 사망률과 예측기대수명을 작성하고 통계청(Korean Statistical Information Service; KOSIS)에서 제공하는 장래 연령별 사망률과 기대수명과 비교하였다.
