This paper is the study on the Medium Designator in Non-book materials. Main contents of this study were as follows; 1. The medium designator serves to indicate the class of material to which an item belongs. This is used to give an 'early warning' ;to the catalogue user. 2. This medium designator may be further divided into two elements ; a general material designation (GMD), for example video-recording, and a specific material designation (SMD), for example, videodisc. 3. GMD: In cataloging, a term indicating the broad class of material to which a bibliographic item belongs, such as 'motion picture', and SMD : In descriptive cataloging, a term indicating the special class of material (usually the class of physical object) to which a biblographic item belongs, such as videocassette. 4. Locating the medium designator after the title proper was not prescribed until ISBD(G) and AACR2. In pre-ISBD(G) codes, the ,early, warning type of medium designator was placed after all title information. But in AACR2, the medium designator is placed after the title proper, but before parellel title and other title information. 5. In Terminology, Two separate lists of designations are given in AACR2, l.1C1, one for British and one for North American use. The British list contains fewer terms, and uses generic categories to group together some of the North American list. 6. The problem of where to place the medium designator might be circumvented by using some kind of early alerting device other than a formal element of biblliographic description. Various alternatives have been suggested. A more popular device is the provision of symbols or 'media code' which are part of the call number and indicate the porticular medium type. 'Colour-coding' the use of used by some libraries but is now longly discouraged. 7. According to Frost. The medium designatorhas been generally reeognized as serving three functions; 1) as a statement of the nature or basic format of the item cataloged and thus as a meant of informing the user as to the type of material at hand; 2) as a description of the physical charaetistics of medium and as a means of alerting the user to equipment needed to make use of the item. 3) as a device to distinguish different physical formats which share the same title. 8. AACR2 raises some problems which decision makers have neet had to face preriously It provides a GMD for every item in the collection including books and it makes the application of any or all GMD's optional.

The Internet of Things refers to a space-of-things connection network configured to allow things with built-in sensors and communication functions to interact with people and other things, regardless of the restriction of place or time.IoT is a network developed for the purpose of services for human convenience, but the scope of its use is expanding across industries such as power transmission, energy management, and factory automation. However, the communication protocol of IoT, MQTT, is a lightweight message transmission protocol based on the push technology and has a security vulnerability, and this suggests that there are risks such as personal information infringement or industrial information leakage. To solve this problem, we designed a synchronous MQTT security channel that creates a secure channel by using the characteristic that different chaotic dynamical systems are synchronized with arbitrary values in the lightweight message transmission MQTT protocol. The communication channel we designed is a method of transmitting information to the noise channel by using characteristics such as random number similarity of chaotic signals, sensitivity to initial value, and reproducibility of signals. The encryption method synchronized with the proposed key value is a method optimized for the lightweight message transmission protocol, and if applied to the MQTT of IoT, it is believed to be effective in creating a secure channel.

Purpose: Although chronic and recurrent rhinosinusitis is prevalent in children, little is known about its causes. Here, we investigated the humoral immunity in children with chronic or recurrent rhinosinusitis. Methods: We examined 16 children attending the outpatient clinic at the CHA Bundang Medical Center including 11 boys and 5 girls, aged 3-11 years (mean age, 5.6 years), who had rhinosinusitis for >3 months or >3 times per year. The complete blood count with differential and total serum concentrations of Immunoglobulin (Ig) E, IgA, IgD, IgM, IgG, and IgG subclasses ($IgG_1$, $IgG_2$, $IgG_3$, and $IgG_4$) of all children were measured. All subjects received 23-polysaccharide pneumococcal vaccination (PPV), and the levels of antibodies to 5 serologic types (4, 6B, 14, 18C, and 23F) of pneumococcal capsular polysaccharide antigens were measured before and after vaccination. Post-PPV antibody titers ${\geq}0.35{\mu}g/mL$ or with a ${\geq}4$-fold increase were considered as positive responses. Results: The titers of IgG, IgA, IgD, and IgM were within normal range in all 16 children, whereas the total IgE concentration was higher than normal in 2 children. $IgG_1$ deficiency was observed in 1 patient and $IgG_3$ deficiency in 3. After PPV, 1 patient failed to respond to all 5 serologic types, 2 failed to respond to 4 serologic types, and 2 failed to respond to 3 serologic types. Conclusion: Clinicians should consider the evaluation of humoral immune functions in children with chronic or recurrent rhinosinusitis who do not respond to prolonged antibiotic treatment.
Tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4), an essential cofactor for nitric oxide synthase (NOS) activity, is known to play important roles in modulating both NO and superoxide production during vascular diseases such as atherosclerosis. However, the role of BH4 in functions of vascular smooth muscle cells is not fully known. In this study, we tested the effects of BH4 and dihydrobiopterin (BH2), a BH4 precursor, on migration and proliferation in response to platelet-derived growth factor-BB (PDGF-BB) in rat aortic smooth muscle cells (RASMCs). Cell migration and proliferation were measured using a Boyden chamber and a 5-bromo-2'-deoxyuridine incorporation assay, respectively, and these results were confirmed with an ex vivo aortic sprout assay. Cell viability was examined by 2,3-bis [2-methoxy-4-nitro-5-sulfophenyl]-2H-tetrazolium-5-carboxanilide assays. BH4 and BH2 decreased PDGF-BBinduced cell migration and proliferation in a dose-dependent manner. The inhibition of cell migration and proliferation by BH4 and BH2 was not affected by pretreatment with $N^G$-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester, a NOS inhibitor. Moreover, the sprout outgrowth formation of aortic rings induced by PDGF-BB was inhibited by BH4 and BH2. Cell viability was not inhibited by BH4 and BH2 treatment. The present results suggest that BH4 and BH2 may inhibit PDGF-stimulated RASMC migration and proliferation via the NOS-independent pathway. Therefore, BH4 and its derivative could be useful for the development of a candidate molecule with an NO-independent anti-atherosclerotic function.

In this paper, the effect of alkaline oxides on the humidity sensitivity of $V_2O_{5}$(2mol%)-doped $TiO_2$(98mol%) was investigated as functions of $Li_{2}Co_{3}$, $Na_{2}Co_{3}$. III-1. Measurement of Density. When the mole% of $Li_2$O is varied 0,1,2,5mol%, the more the mole% of additives is increased, the more difference of bulk and apparent density is largely narrowed. The difference of two densities of sample containing 2mol% $Na_2O$ was large all the moat. The sample containing 1mol% $Na_2O$ was small most. III-2. Observation of porosity. The porosity and total intrusion volume according to various amounts of $Li_2O$ was reduced and those of sample containing 2mol% $Na_2O$ as 31.13%, 0.1155mL/g was the highest and 1mol% $Na_2O$ was lowed most and 5, 10mol% $Na_2O$ was more high compare with sample without alkaline oxides. III-3. Characteristic of humidity sensitivity. 1. Impedance of samples containing $Li_2O$ was high compare with sample without alkaline oxides, so we thought it showed Poor sensitivity because it have no impedance changing rapidly as function of relative humidity. 2. When the humidity was increasing from 30RH% to 90RH%, the impedance of sample containing 2mol% $Na_2O$ at 120HZ changed exponential rapidly from 6${\times}$$10^{7}$$\Omega$) to 1.25${\times}$$10^4$$\Omega$. At under 50RH% and over 50RH%, the humidity sensitivity of samples containing 2mol% $Na_2O$ was best especially in the range of the low humidity. III-4. Characteristic of TG curves. When algal me oxide $M_{2}CO_{3}$(M=Li, Na) were added into $V_{2}O_{5}$-doped $TiO_2$, the stability of humidity sensitivity of samples containing amounts of $Li_2O$ was unstable. The samples containing 1mol% $Na_2O$ was unstable.
In modern society, awareness of diabetes is growing with an increase in the elderly population and an increase in the incidence of diabetes. In particular, diabetic patients can suddenly develop hypoglycemic shock; therefore, it is important to measure blood glucose periodically. However, self-monitoring blood glucose meters are difficult to carry and it is difficult to manage the value. To solve these problems, the blood glucose measurement system has been developed as a sensor attached to the body or as one of the functions of smart devices, but it has not been commercialized. In this paper, we propose a smart band with a blood glucose measurement function. If a user enters a schedule to measure blood glucose level, such as before/after meals, in the app, he/she can receive a measurement alarm from the band. The user can measure the blood glucose level at any time using the band, and the measured value is transmitted and managed by the app including behavior history such as before/after meals and the time. This will help the user to manage, diagnose and prevent health problems. The system has been tested using two medical device-certified products, and each blood glucose measurement value has been confirmed to be more accurate.
Total body perfusion using Rygg-Kyvsgaard Heart-Lung-Machine, Mark IV, Polystan was attempted in the dogs by the hemodilution method with total prime of buffered Hartman's solution and under hypothermia. The first of all, the functions of Rygg--Kyvsgaard Heart-Lung-Machine and the effects of the hemodilution perfusion by buffered Hartman's solution was studied. At the same time the changes of blood pressure, oxygen consumption, and influence on the blood pictures were observed before, during, and in 1-3 days after perfusion. Hemodilution rates were the average 74. 22cc/Kg(the ranges of 67 to 81 cc/Kg) and perfusion flow rates were maintained in the mean 62. 6cc/Kg/min., Although it was possible to check up to 87 cc/ Kg/min. The total body perfusion continued for 60-80 minutes. Hypothermia was employed between $36^{\circ}C$ and $32^{\circ}C$ of the rectal temperature. Arterial pressure was ranged approximately between 68mmHg and 149mmHg, but generally, it was maintained over 80mmHg. Venous pressure was measured between 6.5cm $H_2O$and 11.5cm $H_2O$. Optimum oxygenation can be expected when oxygen flow into the disposable bubble oxygenator was maintained approximately at 3.5 L/min .. Inthis way, the oxygen contents were measured in the mean value of 13.11${\pm}$O.56 vol. % of arterial blood and 8.67+1.08 vol.% of venous blood(P${\pm}$0.86 vol.% in arteriovenous oxygen difference and 2. 97${\pm}$0.62cc/Kg in oxygen consumption were calculated. According to these dates, it is as plain as pikestaff that excellent oxygenation and good tissue perfusion was accomplished. Erythrocyte, hemoglobin and hematocrit were decreased about 38% during extracorporeal circulation and these were not recovered until 1-3 days after perfusion. These decrease was resulted from relatively high degree of hemodilution rate and no blood transfusion to compensate during these experimental studies. The platelets were also decreased about 76% during perfusion, but on the contrary, it was increased progressively after perfusion and in 1-3 days after perfusion was returned to the control level. Leucocyte were also decreased during perfusion, but it was increased progessively after perfusion and in 1-3 days after perfusion exceed the control level. This increase was resulted from postoperative infection of the wound, but its analysis were not changed significantly.
Recent studies indicate that green tea may have anticancer, antioxidant, and antihypertensive effects, and aids body weight control and the promotion of various desirable physiological functions. However, few studies have investigated the antimicrobial effects of green tea. We sought to determine the antimicrobial activity of green tea extract against food spoilage microorganisms. The extract showed remarkable antimicrobial effects against a wide spectrum of putrefactive and food spoilage microorganisms when used at concentrations greater than $500{\mu}g/ml$. The extract showed thermal and pH stability in the range of $40{\sim}150^{\circ}C$ and pH 3.11, respectively. Green tea extract seems to be an ideal natural antimicrobial, considering both efficacy and thermal and pH stabilities. Antimicrobial substances in green tea extract were investigated using electron microscopy and a $\beta$-galactosidase assay. The data showed that the extract contains several efficacious materials, and that their activities are not synergistic but are instead independent. Our data indicate that hydrophilic antimicrobial substances in green tea extract might control food spoilage microorganisms owing to perturbation of the microbial cell membrane.
Expressed sequence tag (EST) analysis was conducted using a complementary DNA (cDNA) library made from the kidney mRNA of olive flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus). In the survey of 390 ESTs chosen from the kidney cDNA library, 250 ESTs showed significant homology to previously described genes while 140 ESTs were unidentified or novel. Comparative analysis of the 250 identified ESTs showed that 14 (5.6%) clones were representing 11 unique genes identified as homologous to the previously reported olive flounder ESTs, 198 (79.2%) clones representing 160 unique genes were identified as orthologs of known genes from other organisms, and orthologs were established for 38 (15.2%) clones representing 37 genes of known sequences with unknown functions. We also identified several kinds of immune associated proteins, indicating EST as a powerful method for identifying immunerelated genes of fish as well as identifying novel genes. Further studies using cDNA microarrays are needed to identify the differentially expressed transcripts after disease infection.
This study was performed to search a physical method having high yield and quality and minimum environmental pollution for extraction of pectin from apple pomace. Based on the physical solubilization of plant cell wall under the condition of high temperature, pressure and shearing stress, apple pomace was treated by a corotating intermeshing type twin-screw extruder with the diameter-to-length ratio of 1/20. The specific mechanical energy of extruder was introduced as system parameter for extrusion process modeling and the shaft speed, feed rate and moisture content as process variables. The yield, average molecular weight and galacturonic acid content of water-soluble polysaccharides obtained by extrusion were, respectively, modeled with the linear functions of the system parameter which was of the form as a linear function of process variables. The specific mechanical energy increased with increase of shaft speed and with decrease of feed rate and moisture content. Out of process variables, moisture content had the greatest effect on specific mechanical energy. The yield increased with increase of specific mechanical energy while the average molecular weight and galacturonic acid content increased with its decrease. In aspects of yield and quality of pectin, the results from this study showed the possibility to replace a traditional acidic method with the extrusion treatment of this study.
