Studies on Development of Bread Mixed with Wheat Flour and Aallium fistulosum L Flour (밀가루에 대파가루 혼합 빵 개발에 관한 연구)

  • To increase the utilization of the Allium fistulosum L., the main crop of Jindo-kun, Jennam, Korea, the study about the way of process utilization is carried. The condition of swelling volume of mixing wheat flour and Allium fistulosum L flour is similar to 7.5% of the drying Allium fistulosum L. flour, and 25% of the raw Allium fistulosum L flour is similar to the bread made with just wheat flour. In the texture of mixing wheat flour and Allium fistulosum L., the hardness, adhesion, gumminess and tough chewiness is higher, as the rate of mixing drying Allium fistulosum L. is higher. There is no wide difference in 7.5% to 25% but it is higher in more than 20%. The color of bread mixed with Allium fistulosum L. is green-yellow. The more the mixing quantity is, the darker as we con see. The taste of bread mixed with Allium fistulosum L. is evaluated to 7.5% better than normal one in color, taste and smell and that of the bread mixed with raw Allium fistulosum L. is to 25% betterthan normal one in color, taste and smell. Mixed wheat flour and dryed Allium fistulosum L. flour is 5%, and raw Allium fistulosum L. is 15%. As a result, the bread mixed with Allium fistulosum L. is evaluated as the best.

Effects of the Sintering Variable on Impact Energy in MA 316L ODS and Wet 316L ODS Stainless Steels (MA 316L ODS 및 Wet 316L ODS 스테인리스강에서 충격에너지에 미치는 소결 공정의 영향)

  • Two kinds of oxide-dispersion-strengthened (ODS) 316L stainless steel were manufactured using a wet mixing process(wet) and a mechanical alloying method (MA). An MA 316L ODS was prepared by a mixing of metal powder and a mechanical alloying process. A wet 316L ODS was manufactured by a wet mixing with 316L stainless steel powder. A solution of yttrium nitrate was dried after being in the wet 316L ODS alloy. The results showed that carbon and oxygen were effectively reduced during the degassing process before the hydroisostatic process (HIP) in both alloys. It appeared that the effect of HIP treatment on increase in impact energy was pronounced in the MA 316L ODS alloy. The MA 316L ODS alloy showed a higher yield strength and a smaller elongation, when compared to the wet 316L ODS alloy. This seemed to be attributed to the enhancement of bonding between oxide and matrix particles from HIP and to the presence of a finer oxide of about 20 nm from the MA process in the MA 316L ODS alloy.

Effect of Simulated Acid Solution on Acid Buffering Capacity, Chlorophyll Content and Nutrient Leaching in the Leaves fo 4 Herb Species (4종 촤화류에 대한 pH 수준별 처리가 잎의 완충능력, chlorophyll 함량 및 무기성분 용출에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effect of simulated acid solution(SAS) on acid buffering capacity, chlorophyll content and butrient leacking in 4 herb species(Petunia hybrida Vilm, Gomphrena globosa L. Celosia cristat L. Salvia officinallis L) . The acid buffering capacity in the leves was increased in the treatment of pH 3.0 in Celosia L., whereas it was increased at pH 4.0 in Petunia Petunia hybrida Vilm. and Gomprean globosa L.. But, the acid buffering capacity of the leaves did not work at ph 2.0 treatment in 4 herb species. With decreasing pH level, the chlorophyll content of Petunia hybrida Vilm. and Gomphrena globosa L. Was markedly decreased than that of Gelosia cristata L. and Savia officinalis L. As the pH levels decreased from 5.6 to 2.0 the nutrient leaching from leaves was significantly increased in 4 herb species. In pH 4.0 and 5.6, the concentrations of nutrient leaching from leaves were higher in Perunia hybrida Vilm. and Gomphrean globosa L. than Gelosia cristata L. and Salvia officinalis L., Based on the results, there was a great differences in response to SAS among the 4 herb species. Im general, Gelosia cristata L. and Salvia officinalis L. represented a higher tolerance to SAS Petunia hybrida Vilm, and Gomphrena globosa L..

  • Cobalt(III) complexes of N,N'-dimethylethylenediamine-N,N'-di-${\alpha}$-butyric acid(dmedba) and trifunctional aminoacids, [Co(dmedba)(L-aa)] (L-aa = S-methyl-L-cysteine, L-methionine, L-glutamic acid, L-aspartic acid) have been prepared from the reaction between the $ s-cis-[Co(dmedba)Cl_2]-^$ complex and the amino acid. The amino acids have been found to coordinate through the amine and carboxylate groups just like [Co(dmedda)(L-aa)]. The complexes obtained in this work were characterized by their proton magnetic resonance, infrared and visible absorption spectral data along with the elemental analyses.

  • During the enzymatic production of L-phenylalanine exploiting L-phenylalanine ammonia lyase(E.C 4.3.1.5) and trans-cinnamic acid, the conversion yield of L-phenylalanine and the stability of L-phenylalanine ammonia-lyase per so or induced Rhodotorula glutinis IFO 0559 were investigated. And the glycerol added to the conversion reaction as stabilizer had effect only on L-phenylalanine and made it possible to obtain the 80% conversion yield from trans-cinnamic acid. In addition, the more rapid and reliable method than the thin layer chromatography for determining the conversion yield will be disscused.

  • Leaf and stem explants of Sedum erythrostichum Miq. were cultured on MS medium supplemented with various combinations of growth regulators. After two weeks of culture, 100% of the leaf explants formed calli on medium containing 2.0 mg/L 2, 4-D and 1.0 mg/L BA. Callus proliferated when subcultured on medium containing 2.0 mg/L 2, 4-D and 1.0 mg/L BA. Numerous adventitious buds were regenerated from callus cultured on the medium containing 2.0 mg/L NAA and 1.0 mg/L BA. Root formation from shoot was occurred on the MS basal medium containing 1.0 mg/L IAA.

  • Cotyledonary petioles of Brassica napus cocultivated with Agrobacterium vectors for 72 h were transferred to MS medium with 0.5 mg/L NAA, 2.0 mg/L BA, 30 mg/L kanamycin, 100 mg/L cefotaxime, 30 g/L sucrose, 3 mg/L $\textrm{AgNO}_{3}$ and 2 g/L Gelrite. The cotyledonary petioles with green shoots were selected at a frequency of 17.5% in a selection medium and then rooted. Southern blot analysis confirmed the rolC and NPT IIgenes were incorporated into the regenerated plants. The stable inheritance of rolC gene was confirmed in progeny test of transgenic plants.

  • The plate under shear loading umformly distributed on the end portions of its side boundary was considered. Infinite hyperbolic serieses and Fourier serieses were combined as a stress function and from which exact solutions for the 15 cases for the parameters of b/L=0.25, 0.5, 1.0 and l/L=0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0 are obtained. In each cases the first 5 terms of the infinite series at the 36 points as shown in Fig. 3. The results are presented in Fig. 4-1, 4-2, and 4-3. The conclusions are as follows: 1) The stresses ${\sigma}_x$ increase very slightly as $\chi$ increases in the range of 0<x<L-l 2) When the parameters satisfy the conditions b/L<0.25 and l/L<0.2, the stresses in the region of 0<x<L-l can be obtained by replacing the uniform shear loading by the equivalent uniform shear loading by the equivalent uniform tensile force and pure bending moment at x=l. 3) The stress ${\sigma}_y$ is negligible throughout the region. 4) When the parameter b/L varies, the stresses ${\sigma}_x$ and u vary as L/b, while strain $\upsilon$ varies as $(L/b)^2$.

A Dynamic Delaunay Triangulation in the L(L1) Metric (L(L1) 동적 디루니 삼각분할 방법)

  • We introduce a new method for constructing a dynamic Delaunay triangulation for a set S of n sites in the plane under the $L_{\infty}(L_1)$ metric. We find that the quadrant neighbor graph is contained in the Delaunay triangluation and that at least one edge of each triangle in the Delaunay triangulation is contained in the quadrant neighbor graph. By using these observations and employing a range tree scheme, we present a method that dynamically maintains the $L_{\infty}(L_1)$ Delaunay triangulation under insertions and deletions in $O(log^2n)$ amortized time and O(log n) expected time.

Recombinant Human L-ferritin from Saccharomyces cerevisiae: Molecular Characterization and Synthesis of Iron Oxide Nanoparticles (효모에서 생산한 재조합 human L-ferritin의 생화학적 특성 및 나노입자의 철산화물 합성)

  • In the synthesis of nanoparticles, much attention has been paid to regulating the particle size. There has been a possible evident that using the central cavity (core) of the protein ferritin has a greatly significant influence on it because the core can generate the nanometer-sized mineral particles of variable metal ions. In this report, recombinant human L-ferritins produced from Saccharomyces cerevisiae were purified and their molecular properties were characterized. The cDNA for human ferritin L chain was also expressed in another host such as Escherichia coli, and the properties of recombinant L-ferritins were compared. From isoelectric focusing experiment, the L-ferritin from the recombinant yeast showed no indication of N-glycosylation. Some post-translational modifications other than N-glycosylation were speculated in the L-ferritins from yeast. A difference was made in the L-ferritins in their iron uptake rates and the initial rate of the L-ferritin from yeast was slightly increased. The reconstitution yield and size distribution of the core minerals were analyzed in the L-ferritins by transmission electron microscopy. The L-ferritin from yeast with higher reconstitution yield (54.5%) showed slightly larger sizes (mean 6.92 nm) with narrower size distribution than the L-ferritin from E. coli. It is, in conclusion, speculated that L-ferritin from yeast is relatively superior to the other, in view of the size of nanoparticle and its relative homogeneity.
