MMT based V3C data packetizing method (MMT 기반 V3C 데이터 패킷화 방안)

  • 3D Point Cloud는 3D 콘텐츠를 더욱 실감 나게 표현하기 위한 데이터 포맷이다. Point Cloud 데이터는 3차원 공간상에 존재하는 데이터로 기존의 2D 영상에 비해 거대한 용량을 가지고 있다. 최근 대용량 Point Cloud의 3D 데이터를 압축하기 위해 V-PCC(Video-based Point Cloud Compression)와 같은 다양한 방법이 제시되고 있다. 따라서 Point Cloud 데이터의 원활한 전송 및 저장을 위해서는 V-PCC와 같은 압축 기술이 요구된다. V-PCC는 Point Cloud의 데이터들을 Patch로써 뜯어내고 2D에 Projection 시켜 3D의 영상을 2D 형식으로 변환하고 2D로 변환된 Point Cloud 영상을 기존의 2D 압축 코덱을 활용하여 압축하는 기술이다. 이 V-PCC로 변환된 2D 영상은 기존 2D 영상을 전송하는 방식을 활용하여 네트워크 기반 전송이 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 V-PCC 방식으로 압축한 V3C 데이터를 방송망으로 전송 및 소비하기 위해 MPEG Media Transport(MMT) Packet을 만드는 패킷화 방안을 제안한다. 또한 Server와 Client에서 주고받은 V3C(Visual Volumetric Video Coding) 데이터의 비트스트림을 비교하여 검증한다.

The actual condition of oral health education in children education institute teacher (유아교육기관 교사들의 구강보건교육 실태에 관한 연구)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to improve the oral health knowledge in children education institute teacher. Methods : Data were selected by convenience sampling method. A self-administered questionnaire was filled out by the children education institute teachers. Frequency analysis and $x^2$ test were used to analyze the actual condition of oral health education and utilizing media contents. Pearson's Results : 1. The teachers received the oral health education (94.3%) twice to five times. 2. There was a difference between position and career of teacher in implementing oral health education. 3. Most of the oral health education were done by the dentists. Tooth brushing method was the most common education contents. Skill demonstration was the most common teaching method. 4. There was a positive correlation between experience and implementation of oral health education. 5. Use of education media accounted for 74.1% in oral health education. The number of media was more than two to five. 6. Self-devised media contents were the most commonly used in oral health education. Visual materials, dentiform and tooth brush were the most common contents in oral health education. Conclusions : It is necessary to develop the systematic and repetitive oral health education curriculum for the children education institute teachers. The dissemination of media for oral care is needed for oral health care knowledge acquisition.

The Effect of Neck and Shoulder Self-Stretching Exercise Using Audiovisual Media on Neck Pain, Postural Alignment, and Joint Position Error in Women with Chronic Neck Pain (시청각 매체를 활용한 목, 어깨 자가신장운동이 만성 목통증 여성의 통증, 자세정렬과 관절위치감각에 미치는 영향)

  • Background: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of neck and shoulder self-stretching exercise using audiovisual media on neck pain, postural alignment, and joint position error in women with chronic neck pain. Methods: The subjects included 20 women that gave consent to participate in the study voluntarily. They performed the self-stretching exercises using audiovisual media was carried out 20 minutes 5 times a week during 3 weeks. Neck disability index (NDI) and visual analogue scale (VAS) were used to measure the functional disability and pain, A pressure pain threshold was measured using an algometer, and a cervical range of motion (CROM) measurement tool was used to measure the range of motion and error of proprioceptive position sense of the cervical spine. To assess posture alignment, forward head angle (FHA), forward shoulder angle (FSA) were measured using image J software. Results: The neck pain intensity was statistically significantly within group (p<.05). Neck and shoulder functional disability were a statistically significant difference within group (p<.05). Splenius capitis and upper trapezius pressure pain threshold were statistically significant difference in within group (p<.05). The postural alignment was statistically significantly within group (p<.05). The cervical range of motion in neck extension, right and left lateral flexion were statistically significantly within group (p<.05). The joint position error in neck flexion, extension, right and left lateral flexion decreased statistically significantly within group (p<.05). Conclusion: Self-stretching exercise using audiovisual media increased the mobility of the neck, decreased neck pain and joint position error, and improved posture alignment. As a result, there was a positive effect by applying the self-stretching exercise using audiovisual media to people with neck pain. Based on this, it is thought that it can be used as the basis for research related to home training programs for healthy self-management.

  • A new method of blocking effects reduction is proposed in this paper for use in low bitrate image coding. We use 28 DCT kernel functions of which boundary values are linearly independent, and Gram-Schmidt process is applied to the boundary values in order to obtain 28 boundary-orthonormal basis images. Then we use these basis images to obtain the correction terms for blocking artifacts reduction. A threshold of block discontinuity is introduced for improvement of visual quality by reducing image blurring. We also investigate the number of basis images needed for efficient blocking artifacts reduction when the compression ratio changes.

  • We have developed an MPEG2 realtime codec system and ATM interface, and evaluated the performance and characteristics of the audio-visual communication in terms of Interoperability specification of The ATM Forum, ITU-T H.310 draft recommendation [1] and the reference points of DAVIC specification through the experiments using the experimental public ATM network.

  • 본 논문에서는 다수 객체 모델을 통해 잘못된 객체 모델 갱신의 영향을 줄이고 객체 추적의 정확도를 향상시키기 위한 방법을 제안한다. 객체 모델 집합은 다수의 객체 모델과 대응하는 가중치들로 정의된다. 각 델과의 유사도 가중 합을 고려 하여 객체 위치를 추정하고, 각 모델의 추정 신뢰도를 계산하여 가중치를 갱신한다. 실험 결과를 통해 제안하는 기법이 오클루젼, 밝기 변화로 인하여 객체 외형이 왜곡되었을 때 추적 성능을 크게 개선함을 보이고 기존 기법들보다 더 정확한 추적 결과를 제공함을 확인한다.

  • 대부분의 Ontology를 이용한 이미지 검색 시스템들은 중앙 집중적(Centralization)으로 구성되어 있어, 단일, 소수의 이미지 제공자의 특화된 Semantic기반의 이미지 검색을 제공한다. 이에 반해 간단한 구조물 가진 메타데이터 기반의 분산 이미지 검색 시스템들은 이미지 제공자들의 자율성을 보장하기 용의 하지만, Semantic 기반의 이미지 검색을 제공하지 못한다. 본 논문은 위 시스템들의 단점들을 극복하기 위해 다양한 이미지 제공자들의 자율성을 보장하면서, Semantic 기반의 이미지 검색을 지원하는 프레임워크의 아키텍쳐를 제안한다.

A PSNR Estimation Method Exploiting the Visual Rhythm for Reconstructed Video Frames at IPTV Set-top Box (비쥬얼리듬을 이용한 IPTV Set-top Box 재생영상에 대한 PSNR 추정 기법)

  • In this paper, we propose a PSNR(peak-to-peak signal to noise ratio) estimation method exploiting visual rhythm information for the reconstructed video frames at the customer's STB(Set-top Box). Key idea is that we can estimate the PSNR by using VR(visual rhythm) information even though a VR consists of the pixels in a vertical direction of a 2D(2-dimensional) video frame, because VR is the 1D projected version of a 2D video frame approximately. Simulation results show that the estimated PSNR from VR information is closely related to the PSNR from 2D video frames. The advantages of the proposed scheme includes that it can monitor the video quality efficiently while minimizing the computation load of STB, and show the location, duration and occurrence count of severe picture degradation.

  • We develop the signal processing method for adaptive implementing direction of signal and the frequency sensitivity of human visual system(HVS). Existing multiband energy scaling method makes ringing artifact because it does not consider signal direction. To solve this problem, we use block gradient for signal direction in addition to existing method. And we use the fact that frequency component of signal is more sensitive than value of signal over human eyes. we enhance the signal according to contrast sensitivity function(CSF) which is the model of frequency sensitivity of human eye. Compared that the existing analysis models only improve the efficiencies in the existing systems, the developed method can process the image signals to be more desirable and suitable to HVS.
