This research sought to survey oriental medicine diagnosis methods currently practiced, analyze their advantages and disadvantages, and work out clinical establish direction for oriental medicine diagnosis methods. Oriental medicine diagnosis methods currently practiced in the related circles are categorized into traditional Korean diagnosis methods and holistic auxiliary diagnosis methods. The traditional Korean diagnosis method focuses on treating diseases of traditional Korean health management methods which are based on the bodily self-viability capabilities according to the Orient's viewpoint of health. Under the diagnosis method, based on the cognition of maximizing the state of the bodily self-viability capabilities together with the characteristics of diseases, symptoms, pulse, first face-to-face patient observation, physical constitution, and life principle are managed according to form, color, pulse and symptom which divide the bodily viability capacities into inherent and acquired elements amid both elements interacting.

본 연구에서는 한국 전통음악의 음악적 요소들이 각각 어떠한 정서를 유발하는가를 기분반응검사를 통하여 조사하였다. 조사 결과, 장단조선법, 템포, 음색, 수직텍스쳐의 두께와 수평텍스쳐의 밀도는 특정한 정서를 유발하는 효과가 있는 반면, 평조와 계면조로 구분되는 전통 선법은 정서반응에 미치는 영향이 거의 없는 것으로 드러났다. 또한 전통적인 국악보다는 현대에 창작된 국악이 일정한 정서반응을 이끌어 내는데 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 서양음악과 마찬가지로 한국 전통음악 역시 음악적 요소에 따라 감성 반응을 유발해내며 이러한 특성은 배경음악, 광고음악, 음악치료 등 다양한 분야에 응용될 수 있을 것이다.

The purpose of this research was to investigate the image dimension depending on the coloration of the Korean jacket of cromatic colors and the Korean skirt of acromatic color and to elucidate the image difference depending on the tone variation of the Korean jacket and the Korean skirt. The experimental materials used for this study were sets of stimulus and response scales(7 point semantic). The stimuli manipulated by computer simulation were 48 color pictures with various combinations of colors of jackets and skirts. The subjects were 576 female undergraduates living in Jinju city. This experiment was based on the $3{\times}4{\times}4$ factorial designs: jacket color(red, yellow and green), jacket tone(vivid, light, dull and dark), and skirt tone(N9, N7, N4 and N2). Image factor of the stimuli consisted of 4 different dimensions(youthfulness and activity, gracefulness, visibility and tenderness). Among them, the youthfulness and activity, and the gracefulness were important. According to the tone variation of Korean jacket of cromatic colors and Korean skirt of acromatic color, the images for a wearer were expressed diversely and showed the difference in image dimensions.

I observed the meaning and the symbolic charaeters about the color and style of clothes appearing at "GER GA JAP BOK GO" written by Kyu Soo Park. The black color of Hyun Eui as a ceremonial dress of man symbolizes Heaven and Virtue. The yellow color of Whang Sang as a ceremonial dress of man symbolizes the Earth and the Impartiality. The blue or black decoration line over white ground of Sim Eui as ordinary dress of man symbolizes also Filial Piety. In woman ordinary upper garment, So Eui, black texture edging with blue line implies the mutual symmetricity with her husband's. Besides, white color texture lining So Eui symbolical to a Devine Nature and Homage implies also the deep concealment of feminine body. The black ground color of child dress "Chi Po Eui" symbolizes Naivety, and the red silk color of it's decoration line, belt and tress ornaments implies the praise of the Virtue & Learning and also "Expel the Evil" of our traditional national characteristics. As described above the meaning and symbolic characters about the color and style of clothes appearing at "GER GA JAP BOK GO" has a very Chinese disposition, but it's author Kyu Soo Park modified somewhat to be in harmony with the real social situation of our Country during that latest stage of Yi Dynasty, because he was one of the prominent pragmatist at that time.

Paperweave wallcoveing is necessary to develop new designs based on the analysis of global trend and reflection of Korean traditional image to improve commercial value in the worldwide market. The purpose of this study was to understand design trend and share valuable data by product analyzing of major paperweave wallcovering brands - Yeomyung (Korea), Phillip Jeffries (USA) and Omexco (Belgium). In the dominant color, the largest proportion is YR. Analysis of each brand color, Omexco is using the widest range of colors, the colors of each brand uses an exclusive of its own brand compared to other brands are Green (Yeomyung), Blue (Phillip Jeffries), Red (Omexco). The number of colors, Yeomyung and Philip Jeffries have a high ratio of bi-color, Omexco is revealing various color expression methods such as 55% solid color, two or three multi-color are each half of the balance. Analysis of weaving, Yeomyung has a high ratio of balanced plain, at number of mixture, Yeomyung and Phillip Jeffries are using mostly paper-yarn but Omexco is using multi-mixture materials in some part of theirs. Regarding analysis of finishing, all three brands are mostly selling unfinished paperweave wallcovering but some solid coated are appearing at Yeomyung and Omexco. Yeomyung has more foil transfer compared with the other brands, Phillip Jeffries has some digital printed products.

Gene expression analysis can be performed by one-color (intensity-based) or two-color (ratio-based) microarray platforms depending on the specific applications and needs of the researcher. The traditional two-color approach is well founded from a historical and scientific standpoint, and the one-color approach, when paired with high quality microarrays and a robust workflow, offers additional flexibility in experimental design. Two of the major requirements of any microarray platform are system reproducibility, which provides the means for high confidence experiments and accurate comparison across multiple samples; and high sensitivity, for the detection of significant gene expression changes, including small fold changes across multiple gene sets. Each of these requirements is fulfilled by the Agilent One-color Gene Expression Platform as illustrated by the data included in this study. As a result, researchers have the ability to take advantage of the enhanced performance and sensitivity of Agilent's 60-mer oligonucleotide microarrays, and experience the first commercial microarray platform compatible with both one- and two-color detection.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of tone-on-tone coloration on the visual images of traditional Korean dress. The materials in the experiment developed for this study were made up of various stimuli and the response scales for each stimulus. The stimuli were 48 color pictures with various combination of colors, in which the tones of jackets and skirts were manipulated by computer drawing. 24 bi-polar adjectives, each of which was graded into seven in its degree, were used to evaluate each image. The subjects were 576 female students in Jinju City. This experiment was based on the $3{\times}4{\times}4$ factorial designs: color (red, yellow and green), jacket tone (vivid, light, dull and dark) and skirt tone (vivid, light, dull and dark). The results of the study can be summarized as follows; Impression factor of the stimuli consisted of the 5 different dimensions - youthfullness and activity, attractiveness, gracefullness, visibility, and tenderness. The colors and the tone of jackets and skirts used in this experiment influenced 5 impression dimension by interaction of two valuables or working independently. Yellow and green with vivid or light tone had an effect on the formation of youth and activity image, and dark-light combination had an effect on the formation of attractiveness image. In case of green color, light tone of a jacket and vivid or dull tone of a skirt affected gracefulness, while yellow has no impact on visibility image regardless of skirt tone. Red and yellow with vivid or light tone were a factor to decide tenderness.

The purpose of this study is to grasp the element and method of traditional expression appeared in hotel lobby spaces, and present the direction of traditional expression applicable to the domestic hotel lobby space. Therefore, this study analyzed traditional expression according to its element and method taken out from the prior researches related to it. Specifically, the element of traditional expressions divided into the element of space organization, the element of structure (bottom, wall, ceiling, window, door and pillar), and the element of decorative design(furniture, illumination, artistic ornament, color, and material). The method of traditional expressions divided into the method of prototype reappearance, prototype transformation, reinterpretation, and abstract. The target of analysis has been 27 hotels designed since 1970s. and described as expressed traditionality in architecture-technical journals and books in the inside and outside of the country. considering these results, it seems that the traditional expressions using more various elements and more various element and methods have to used in domestic hotels. Specifically, when expressing traditionality in the lobby space of domestic hotel, it is important to decided the method expressing traditionality at first, and the traditional expressions using the element of space organization, structure, decorative design, and so based on the method expression traditionality was fulfilled with coordination.

Rubia cordifolia L (Indian madder) contains red color purpurin (65-67%) and yellow color munjistin (10-12%) as well as nordamncanthal (9-10%). Purpurin is a traditional red dye. The purpose of this research is to increase the dyeability of silk and light fastness of dyed silk fabric. We dyed silk fabrics after pretreatment to remove the yellow component of madder using various solvents such as ethyl acetate, ethanol, methanol, chloroform, and acetone. The total K/S value was the highest in the case of chloroform and reflectance was the lowest at the red color region from 470nm to 530nm. Chloroform dissolved the yellow color of Rubia cordifolia; in addition, we found that the total K/S value increased and the ${\Delta}E$ value decreased by chloroform pretreatment for silk dyeing.

The costume of Islam cultural area has been affected by the strict social structure, formed by religion, and traditional costume of Islam has been maintained up to these days under the influence of religion. Islam Traditional Costume, which is the succession of the traditional costume of southwest Asia region, became armed with the form of closed costume due to the chastity and oppression. There are figurative features of Islam Folk Costume; first, the dimensional form due to the ampleness, covering the body, second, the reinforcement of closed form such as chador and burqa, third, the symbolism such as the adornment or incantational ornament, which has been inherited from the former times of Islam era, fourth, the color, simplified with black and white. The aesthetic values of Islam folk costume are represented with 'The beauty of abstinency', suppressing the ornamentation and color, caused by the strict social atmosphere under the influence of the form of traditional costume and religion, 'The beauty of concealment' due to the closeness, with affluent costume forms, covering the body and even concealing the face, and 'The beauty of symbol' which is demonstrated with incantational ornamentation of face and interior decoration. In some nations amongst Islam nations, the wearing of hijab is strictly regulated but black chador and burqa are regarded as negative symbols, representing the closeness and oppression of Islam. It is the product of Orientalism from the western perspective. The Islam Hijab culture is the symbol of oppression towards women, but, on the other hand, it is the device to protect women and the traditional culture, symbolizing the identity.
