In the 1990's several economically important marine fisheries collapsed or showed signs of extreme hardship owing to overcapitalization and excessive fishing pressure on the resources. Public concern was raised and demands voiced for more prudent fishery management practices. The United Nations responded and developed international guidelines, such as the FAO Code of Conduct for Responsible Fishing and the UN Straddling Fish Socks and Highly Migratory Fish Stocks Agreement These guidelines task fishery managers to take prudent steps to ensure the long-term viability of fisheries and fishery resources. Included in the guidelines are two particular demands that will challenge stock assessment scientists in the new millennium. They are application of the precautionary approach and the inclusion of ecological considerations in assessments and management advice. High-lighted in the presentation are examples from the central-western Pacifi skipjack tuna fishery and the eastern Pacific thresher shark fishery where insufficien information is affecting stock assessments. The shortcomings are further linked t the new challenges of applying the precautionary approach, such as reference points, and ecological considerations, such as predator-prey and oceanographic-regime shift.(omitted)

This study aims to propose the considerations for developing the guidelines for recording a preferred title in musical works by analyzing the RDA rules and guidelines of several national libraries. First, RDA rules were analyzed, and the primary rules for consideration were examined by reviewing RDA application guidelines from eight national libraries that have developed their own guidelines for alternatives and options of RDA rules. Then, by analyzing the contents of each guideline, including MLA, LC-PCC, and DACH, practical considerations was to provide. First, the original language title should be adopted in the selection of preferred title, but if the title in the original language is not suitable for domestic users, the title in other languages should be used. Second, the preferred title was examined in aspects of works with one part, works with more than one part, the complete works of one author, the compilation of a specific type of composition, the incomplete compilation, and the compilation of several composers. Third, medium of performance, numeric numbers, key, and other identifying characteristics were presented as additional factors for consideration in the recording. Fourth, it is necessary to designate or present a control vocabularies for the types of compositions and the medium of performance. This study suggests considerations in developing guidelines for recording the preferred title for RDA musical works, and it will be possible to contribute to the development of rules related to preferred titles for musical works and guidelines for recording the preferred title for musical works in libraries.

The objective of this study was to investigate the pollution assessment of organic matters, nutrients, and metals in sediment in major lakes (5 lakes and 17 sites) of Buk-han river using various sediment pollution assessment guidelines and indices. The concentrations of organic matters and nutrients were lower than class IV (Sediment pollution assessment guidelines of Korea) and Severe Effect Level (SEL, Sediment pollution assessment guidelines of Ontario). This results indicated that the lakes sediments were unpolluted and tolerable level for sediment dwelling organisms by organic matters and nutrients. However, several sites of Chuncheon and Soyang lakes were evaluated "heavily polluted" level by organic index (Org-index). The order of lakes by metals concentrations from the one with the highest concentration was Hwacheon, Chuncheon, Cheongpyeong, Uiam, Soyang. All lakes except Hwacheon were assessed unpolluted to marginally and tolerable level for sediment dwelling organisms by metals based on sediment pollution assessment guidelines (Korean and Ontario), indices of geoaccumulation ($I_{geo}$), pollution loading (PLI) and ecological risk (RI). In Lake Hwacheon, every investigated sites were polluted with metals, especially Hg, based on sediment pollution assessment guideline of Korea and indices ($I_{geo}$, PLI and RI). The dwelling organisms in sediment of Hwacheon Lake were likely to be severed by metals.

Purpose: This study examines the levels of adherence to quarantine guidelines, mental health, and instrumental activities of daily living among elderly individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic, and to identify correlations among these variables. Methods: A survey was conducted from February 28, 2023, to May 19, 2023, among 210 elderly individuals aged 65 and above residing in rural areas. The relationships among adherence to quarantine guidelines, mental health, and instrumental activities of daily living were tested using Pearson's correlation coefficients. Results: Loneliness was positively correlated with subdomains, including familial loneliness, social loneliness, and a sense of belonging, whereas depression was significantly negatively correlated with adherence to quarantine guidelines(cough etiquette, ventilation, mask wearing, and environmental disinfection) and rules of social distancing. Conclusion: Analyzing the various factors influencing adherence to quarantine guidelines among the elderly and developing and implementing intervention programs are essential for future research.

Purpose: This study was aimed to modify and adapt the previously developed, high-quality enteral tube feeding guidelines for the usage in clinical settings in Korea. Methods: Guideline adaptation process was undertaken according to the guideline adaptation manual version 2.0 developed by NECA (Kim, et al., 2011) and the standardized methodology for nursing practice guideline adaptation (Gu, et al. 2012). Results: The modified and adapted enteral tube feeding guidelines were consisted of 11 domains and 95 recommendations. The domains and numbers of recommendations in each domain were: 4 on general issues, 2 on enteral nutrition indication and discontinue, 6 on enteral nutrition device selection, 12 on enteral tube feeding device insertions, 3 on enteral nutrition formular and choices, 16 on enteral tube feeding start and progress, 20 on enteral tube feeding maintenance and management, 15 on monitoring enteral tube feeding administration, 10 on prevention of error, 5 on medication administration, and 2 on documentation and report. There were 16.1% of the recommendations marked as A grade, 17.8% of B grade, and 66.1% of C grade. Conclusion: The adapted enteral tube feeding nursing practice guideline is to be added to the evidence-based practice guidelines for fundamentals of nursing practice. The guideline is hoped to be disseminated to nurses nationwide in order to improve the efficiency of enteral tube feeding practice.

This study developed key elements of dental service guidelines for the disabled patients. In order to provide consumer-oriented service guidelines for the dental patients with disability, service design method was applied. Using service design method guided by the double diamond design process, this study implemented consumer survey, observation, and contextual interviews for consumers' needs assessment. And customer journey map, mind maps, and blueprints were utilized to visualize consumer needs and guidelines for dental care services for the disabled. According to the study, disabled consumers have needs for expertise of the medical staff, dental care institutions specialized on the disabled, financial support, establishment of the facilities for the disabled, comfortable atmosphere in the institutions, and communication with medical staffs. Based on the needs of the disabled, 5 key elements of the dental care services were developed: convenience, expertise, empathy, financial support, and education and management. And service design guidelines were proposed to implement key elements of dental care services for the patients with disability. This study is significant in that it is the first attempt to apply the service design technique from the consumer perspectives in the field of dental care for the disabled. Furthermore the process of this study has become a reference that can be utilized and applied to other medical institution.

Cook's distance(Cook, 1997) is one of the most widely used influence measures to assess the influence of single observations or sets of observations in the linear regression model. After computing Cook(1977) suggested guidelines based on a confidence ellipsoid for the regression parameter ${\beta}$. In this paper, we suggest cutoff values for Cook's distance cia Monte Carlo simulation, and compare them with Cook's guidelines. An example based on a real data set is given.
