  • 인간의 얼굴 검출은 비디오 감시, 휴먼 컴퓨터 인터페이스, 얼굴 인식, 그리고 얼굴 이미지 데이터 베이스 관리와 같은 분야에 중요한 역할을 한다. 본 논문에서는 복잡한 배경뿐만 아니라 다양한 조명 조건에서 색 이미지 변화들의 폭넓은 변화를 처리할 수 있도록 새로운 조명 보정 기술과 이웃 화소들을 조합한 간단하고 빠른 얼굴 검출 방법을 제안한다. 색상 유사도를 기반으로 각 그룹을 추출하여 후보 얼굴 영역을 생성한다. 각각의 얼굴 후보 영역을 증명하기 위하여 눈, 입의 경계맵을 구성한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 방법이 단순하고 매우 빠른 수행능력을 보여주었으며, 89%의 얼굴 검출 수행능력을 나타내었다.

한국여성의 얼굴이미지 유형별 형성요소와 메이크업 디자인의 효과 (Formative Elements of the Facial Image of Korean Women and the Effects of Makeup Design)

  • The purpose of this study is to suppose makeup design based on formative elements of facial image according to the facial image type of Korean women in their 20s. For this study, literature review were performed. Surveys were conducted twice for empirical research. The survey targeted 220 university students in their 20s. SPSS 12.0 statistics program was used to analyze the results, and T-test, ANOVA, Scheff$\acute{e}$ test. The results of the study are as follows. First, it was concluded that the effective structural formative elements are different according to the types of facial image. Second, by analyzing the differences in perceiving naked facial image and modified face shape image, modified skin color image, modified makeup color image of all types of facial image, it was found that the formative elements are different according to facial images, and that there are differences in the effectiveness of each factors.

반복적 오차 보정을 이용한 얼굴 영상에서 의 안경 제거 (Glasses Removal from Facial Image using Recursive Error Compensation)

  • In this paper, we propose a new method of removing glasses from human frontal facial images. We first detect the regions occluded by the glasses, and generate a natural looking facial image without glasses by recursive error compensation using PCA reconstruction. The resulting image has no trace of the glasses frame, nor of the reflection and shade caused by the glasses. The experimental results show that the proposed method provides an effective solution to the problem of glasses occlusion, and we believe that this method can also be used to enhance the performance of face recognition systems.

선박의 안전운항을 위한 깊이정보 기반의 졸음 감지 시스템 (A Detection System of Drowsy Driving based on Depth Information for Ship Safety Navigation)

  • 본 논문에서는 컬러정보와 깊이정보를 사용하여 얼굴을 검출하고 추적한 후 항해사의 졸음을 탐지하는 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법은 얼굴검출 과정과 얼굴추적 과정으로 구성된다. 얼굴검출 과정에서는 기존의 방법 중 가장 좋은 성능을 보이는 Adaboost 알고리즘을 사용하며, Adaboost로 입력되는 영상의 영역을 사람이 존재하는 영역으로만 제한하여 얼굴을 검출한다. 얼굴검출 과정에서 얼굴이 검출되면 그것을 템플릿으로 하여 얼굴추적 과정이 수행된다. 제안한 방법의 성능을 평가하기 위하여 실험영상을 이용하여 실험을 수행하였다. 실험결과 제안한 졸음탐지 방법은 기존의 방법에 비해 약 23 %의 수행시간을 보였으며, 또한 졸음탐지 방법은 추적 시간과 추적 정확도에 있어서 상보적인 관계를 가지며, 특별한 경우를 제외한 모든 경우에서 약 1 %의 낮은 추적오차율을 보였다.

전경픽셀 히스토그램 분석 기반의 머리영역 검출 기법 (Head Detection based on Foreground Pixel Histogram Analysis)

  • 본 논문은 기존의 Haar 유사 특징 기반 얼굴검출 기법의 한계를 보완하는 수평 및 수직방향픽셀 히스토그램 분석 기반의 머리영역 검출 방법을 제안한다. 제안 기법은 배경차감 영상에서 수평과 수직 방향으로 전경 픽셀의 수를 표시하는 픽셀 히스토그램 영상을 생성한 후, 해리스 코너 검출기법을 이용하여 머리 영역을 특징짓는 특징점을 검출한다. 제안한 방법은 기존의 얼굴 특성 기반 검출에 비해 머리를 포함한 몸체의 수직과 수평 픽셀 히스토그램을 이용함으로써 정면 영상뿐만 아니라 측면 및 후면 영상이나 이마가 가려진 입력 영상의 경우에도 머리 영역을 안정적으로 검출하는 결과를 보여주었다.

A New Eye Tracking Method as a Smartphone Interface

  • To effectively use these functions many kinds of human-phone interface are used such as touch, voice, and gesture. However, the most important touch interface cannot be used in case of hand disabled person or busy both hands. Although eye tracking is a superb human-computer interface method, it has not been applied to smartphones because of the small screen size, the frequently changing geometric position between the user's face and phone screen, and the low resolution of the frontal cameras. In this paper, a new eye tracking method is proposed to act as a smartphone user interface. To maximize eye image resolution, a zoom lens and three infrared LEDs are adopted. Our proposed method has following novelties. Firstly, appropriate camera specification and image resolution are analyzed in order to smartphone based gaze tracking method. Secondly, facial movement is allowable in case of one eye region is included in image. Thirdly, the proposed method can be operated in case of both landscape and portrait screen modes. Fourthly, only two LED reflective positions are used in order to calculate gaze position on the basis of 2D geometric relation between reflective rectangle and screen. Fifthly, a prototype mock-up design module is made in order to confirm feasibility for applying to actual smart-phone. Experimental results showed that the gaze estimation error was about 31 pixels at a screen resolution of $480{\times}800$ and the average hit ratio of a $5{\times}4$ icon grid was 94.6%.

신경회로망 기반 감성 인식 비젼 시스템 (Vision System for NN-based Emotion Recognition)

  • In this paper, we propose the neural network based emotion recognition method for intelligently recognizing the human's emotion using vision system. In the proposed method, human's emotion is divided into four emotion (surprise, anger, happiness, sadness). Also, we use R,G,B(red, green, blue) color image data and the gray image data to get the highly trust rate of feature point extraction. For this, we propose an algorithm to extract four feature points (eyebrow, eye, nose, mouth) from the face image acquired by the color CCD camera and find some feature vectors from those. And then we apply back-prapagation algorithm to the secondary feature vector(position and distance among the feature points). Finally, we show the practical application possibility of the proposed method.

진피-지방 이식술을 이용한 하안면부 비대칭의 교정 (Correction of Lower Face Asymmetry using Dermofat Graft)

  • Purpose: To correct the facial asymmetry and to achieve symmetry and balance, not only the soft tissue restoration of deficits but also creation and facial contour line such as mandible border and angle is important. Micro fat graft has limitation such as high resorption rate and somewhat limited ability to emphasize the rigid bony characteristics of the mandible angle due to its innate soft consistency. We have investigated the advantages of dermal fat graft over micro fat graft to correct asymmetry of the lower face in patients who had undergone mandibular reconstruction or distraction, using comparative analysis. Methods: Total of 12 patients were enrolled in our study: 6 micro fat graft and 6 dermal fat graft. Postoperative results were compared and analyzed at immediate postoperative period and more than 1 year later in each group with photographs, and analysised with image J program. Result: No complications were noted both in the micro fat type and the dermal fat type of procedures such as fat necrosis or micro calcifications. All of the patients who received micro fat graft, however had considerable amount of fat resorption after the procedure which led to two additional fat graft procedures. Although minor contour obliteration due to contracture was seen in patients who had undergone dermal fat graft procedure, no definite resorption was found even after more than one year follow-up. Results of dermal fat graft patients were satisfactory in terms of mandible angle symmetry. Secondary revision was necessary in one case due to overcorrection using dermal fat graft. Conclusion: The dermal fat graft has many advantages over the conventionally more popular micro fat graft to correct asymmetry of the lower face following mandible reconstruction owing to its lower resoption rate, more effective in emphasizing the natural curvilinear anatomical contours of the mandible angle and body and lower complication rates such as fat necrosis or micro calcifications.

PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION AND THE APPLICABILITY OF THE IMPRESSION TRANSFER VECTOR METHOD FOR SYNTHESIZING HIGHER-ORDER FACIAL IMPRESSIONS

  • We developed a facial image generating technique that can manipulate facial impressions. The present study applied this impression transferring method to higher-order impressions such as "elegance" or "attractiveness" and confirmed the psychological validity of this method using the semantic differential method. Subsequently, we applied this method to two types of cognitive experiments. First, we examined the contributions of texture and shape on the facial impressions by using those face images for which the impressions have already been quantitatively manipulated based on this method. Second, we used such stimuli to examine the effect of facial impressions and attractiveness on the "mere exposure effect." Thus, we concluded that the impression transfer vector method is an effective tool to quantitatively manipulate the facial impressions in various cognitive studies.

  • With the basis of objective truth by the subjective sensibility and the Rock art's history and the molding the Rock arts image motive, the conclusion like this; The first, Rock art express the imagination variety as symbols of abundance, fecundity, stable lift's present mourning and absolute respect and the spirit. The second, the new motives are developed by making formative images with deeply understanding essential side in the Rock arts. With this, the pattern is repeated with making motive's repeat units and the new pattern is developed by 45-angle iteration. These cultural products were used to produce necktie, scarf, and clothing making commonly efficient use in actual life- with 3D simulation. Through developing Rock art pattern, it is great the possibility of development for expressing Korea images with making an excavation. A competitive design as to the international period can be developed with applying to the variety department-cultural products development.
