  • Nowadays Corporate social responsibility (CSR) has become a critical factor influencing customers' buying intention. The study conducted aims to explore the relationship between customers' perception towards CSR and their repurchase intention. The data was collected by using survey questionnaires from 320 individual customers living in Ho Chi Minh City and processed in SPSS software. The research results showed that among CSR components, economic and charitable responsibilities have a positive impact on Vietnamese customers' repurchase intention at the significance level of 1% and the two other factors at 10%. The findings assume that CSR components have become factors explaining customers' repurchase intention, especially for consumer goods, and firms should enforce their corporate social responsibility to capture customers' repurchase intention and in turn increase their customers' loyalty.

  • Firms employing hierarchical loyalty programs (HLPs) periodically demote customers from higher to lower status level to divest from unprofitable customers and boost profitability. However, existing literature lacks objective evidence on how customer demotion affects demoted customers' future purchase behaviors and ultimately profitability for the firm. Moreover, customers in the HLP's higher position may respond to customer demotion differently from those in the HLP's lower position. Drawing upon emotions and equity theories, this study quantifies how the profits that customers contribute to the firm change after customer demotion, and compares demoted customers' behavioral reactions from top-tier with those from bottom-tier based on customers' actual behavior data from a major retail bank in South Korea. The findings show that withdrawing customer status actually deteriorates customer profitability, and customers with top-tier status decrease their profitability more dramatically than those with bottom-tier status after demotion. The results contribute to previous literature on customer demotion and relationship marketing, and provide specific guidelines into how firms should design and implement customer demotion in HLPs.

  • Purchasing should be considered as an exciting entertainment by itself in these days. Customers can be satisfied with making their own choices and dreaming of their better lives through the action of buying,. However the customers are not rushing into stores without any special reason except when the store has something attracts them. Generally speaking the customers will willingly spend their time and effort in shopping only when they are attracted by well-displyed goods and reasonably planned layout. Based upon these concepts interior design as a creative marketing tool plays a great role in enhancing customer's circulation and the productivity of a store. This study is to propose the layouts which are increasing the customer's circulation by contacting the customers with commodities as many as possible. This study is primarily revolved around the parts affecting customer's circulation among the factors of store's layouts. This study was consist of theoretical consideration about the store's layouts on the foundation of conference and existing works and several proposals. The results of this research are as below: 1) The entrance and exit of a retail store should be apart from each other to increase customers' circulation. It is regarded as ideal to locate the entrance on the right side of front to control moving line of customers. 2) A shop should be surrounded with the main aisles which is straightened inward from the main entrance. 3) Placing magnets which can be anything that attracts customers' attention at the corner of store can lead customers inward and increase customers' circulation.

  • Purpose: The old axion to put the customers first (e.g., customers are king, customers are always right) has been taken for granted in the service sector. In addition, many companies in South Korea are providing customer-first education for employees at their contact points to strengthen their competitiveness. However, excessive increase in the psychological power of the customer can lead to a problem of abuse of power, called 'Gap-jil.' Despite these concerns, most companies hardly discard policies to give high priority to customers because of the assumption that it enhances customer satisfaction leading to organizational performance. However, in recent years, some franchise catering companies have posted warnings about the abuse of power by customers, and a movement to pursue a power-balancing between service providers and their customers is spreading. Research design, data, and methodology: This research is conducted to reconsider the principle of the customer-first perspective and to create a basis for arguments that can solve the problem of abuse of power, which is recognized as a serious social problem. In this research, we test and analyze the effect of customers' psychological power in the context of a restaurant on expectation for service and response to service failure. Result: The result of an experimental study shows that the effect of psychological power on customer satisfaction can be somewhat negative. Also, customers with high psychological power are more likely to have high service expectations. Especially high psychological power of customers causes a difference in the expectation level of human factors such as employee attitude, while the difference in expectations of non-human factors such as restaurant atmosphere was not statistically significant. In addition, when customers with high psychological power encounter service failure situation, they are more likely to feel disappointment and regret with a service provider. Meanwhile, the effect of psychological power on complaining behaviors are not significant. Conclusions: The findings of this research provide meaningful implications that the service providers should reconsider their existing corporate culture and management policies that put customers first. In addition, the result of this research is provided meaningful opportunities to review the management philosophy for the company's customers and the education philosophy for the employee education.

A survey of 235 customers was conducted regarding customer satisfaction levels and factors of food and services. Customers' perceived level of attributes were identified into eight underlying dimensions by factor analysis as follows: factor 1 was "cleanliness": factor 2 "service quality": factor 3 "accuracy": factor 4 "atomosphere": factor 5 "food quality": factor 6 "menu information": factor 7 "price" and the eighth factor was "food result". Regression analysis indicated that "cleanliness" was found to be the most important factor contributing to customers' overall satisfaction. There were significant differences in customers' perceived satisfaction level of "food quality"(p<0.01), "accuracy", and "price" factors(p<0.05) between department stores and discount store. The customers' perceived satisfaction levels of "accuracy", "food quality" and "price" factor at a large store food court are higher than those of department store food court. Comparing location of food court, there were significant differences in customers' perceived satisfaction level of "accuracy" and "price" factors between in Seoul and Cheonan(p<0.001). The customers' perceived satisfaction levels of "accuracy" and "price" at the discount store in Seoul are lower than those of food court at Cheonan. • The purpose of this study was to examine the structural relationship between customers' perception of authenticity, justice, customer commitment, and customer behavior in franchise coffee shops. To test the hypotheses of the study, a total of 428 customers in Korea were considered in an empirical analysis using a two-step structural equation model (SEM) approach. In particular, employees' authenticity had relatively great influence on customers' continuous and affective commitment and their justice had greater influence on customers' normative commitment. Also, customers' continuous commitment, normative commitment, and affective commitment significantly influence customer participation behavior, while normative commitment and affective commitment have a significant effect customer citizenship behavior. Research thus far divided justice and authenticity into separate concepts and examined relation with customer commitment or behaviors but the present study put cognitive process of justice and emotional process of authenticity on the same line and evaluated their different influence on customer commitment and behaviors, thereby verifying that not justice perceived by customers induced desirable customer behaviors but authenticity they felt with their heart played a more superior role in customer commitment or behaviors. This means that authentic services rather than justice induce customers' positive behaviors.
