In other words, the ugliness had been selected and erected as the opposite meaning of beauty to head toward ultimate beauty, and clarify that ultimate beauty is achieved through the combination of beauty is achieved through the combination of beauty and ugliness. First, the ugliness and Rosencrantz\ulcorners theory of the Aesthetics of Ugliness had been examined theoretically in the aspect of the subjectivism of aesthetic value for dress and aesthetic category. • Slow fashion can be viewed as an activism that provides an alternative solution to the problematic issues of fast fashion in a practical sense; however, (from a theoretical point of view) it is a fashion phenomenon arising from the criticism of an accelerating society. Slowness emphasizes the virtues of moderation. Slowness refers to the recovery of human ethics that have been neglected due to the goal-oriented nature of an accelerating society. Slowness can solve the problem of conformity and discrimination in society through pluralism and respect for local indigenousness. The characteristics of slow fashion can be defined by the aesthetic values of circularity, sustainability, moderation, expressivity and convergence. This includes the beauty of circularity (which views the relationships of all processes as organic), the beauty of sustainability (which ensures the maintenance of continuous emotions and the durability of products that can be promoted through slow processes), the beauty of moderation (which places importance on spiritual values and the moderate use of materials), and the beauty of expressivity (which plays the role of a social messenger that facilitates social assertion). These combined values present the beauty of convergence such as the harmony of local communities and the world in a blend of the old and the new with an exchange between producers and consumers.

  • This paper proposes on the Hanguel character CAI system using image processing. For this, firstly, the characters written by elementary school students or foreigners arc captured by CCD camera. Secondly, Recognition is accomplished by pre-processing, thinning and recognition processes. Thirdly, strokes are separated and beauty evaluation is done by matching feature value of the input image from the similarity measure function. In particular, this paper describe to define the similarity measuring function using extracted factor values after getting the beauty evaluation factor values of the consonant in the entire CAI system. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed system is demonstrated by experiments.

  • The inhibitors of prostaglandin $E_2\;(PGE_2)$ production and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) activity have been considered as potential anti-inflammatory agents. In this study, we evaluated 9 compounds isolated from 5 Korean phytomedicinal plants (Spirea prunifolia, Paeonia suffruticosa, Salvia miltiorrhiza, Scutellaria baicalensis, and Artemisia capillaris) for the inhibition of $PGE_2$production and COX-2 expession in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated human macrophages U937 cells. As a result, several compound such as prunioside A, penta-O-galloyl-beta-D-glucose, tanshinone IIA, baicalin, baicalein, wogonin, scopolatin, scoparone and decursinol showed potent inhibition of $PGE_2$production (50-70% inhibition at the test concentration of $10\;{\mu}M$). In addition, these compounds were also considered as potential inhibitors of COX-2 activity (45-73% inhibition at the test concentration of $10\;{\mu}M$). These active compound mediating COX-2 inhibitory activities are warranted for further elucidation of active principles for development of anti-inflammatory agents and these properties may contribute to the anti-atopic dermatitis activity.
