Zirconium carbide was prepared from the mixture of metal zirconium and carbon powders in argon atmosphere by Self-propagating High-temperature Synthesis (SHS) in order to obtain the best carbon source and dilution contents. The most exellent result was obtained in the case that active carbon was added as a starting material, 20~30 wt% dilution content. From thermal profile analysis an apparent activation energy of 118 KJ/mol was calculated. The maximum heating rate achieved during 15 wt% ZrC reaction by product dilution method was approximately 1.54$\times$105 K/s. Coupling this value with the measured wave velocity of 1.026cm/s yielded a maximum thermal gradient fo $1.5\times$105 K/cm. Using the definition of t* and the measured wave velocity, the effective thermal diffusivity, $\alpha$, was calculated to be 0.62$\times$102 $\textrm{cm}^2$/s.

The ultrasonic non-destructive method was used for wood decay test. The temperature change and moisture contents of wood were estimated how the ultrasonic wave velocity changes. The relationship between weight loss of wood decayed by T. palustris and ultrasonic wave velocity was investigated. The non-destructive methods of different condition of logwood were estimated. Decay map of old wood was made by non destructive methods. Through these tests, we can accumulate the data to judge the degree of wood decay. The decay map of wood could be used for the analysis of old wood.

Currently, Webtoon Industry is promising as high potential market from it's high growth trend. The best advantage webtoon propose is that webtoon can provide appropriate service to customers with various needs. For this feature, webtoon industry is expanding throughout the world. This situation may give a great chance for authors and webtoon service corporation to export webtoon contents. Also, this situation could be an opportunity for webtoon to become a new "Korean Wave" contents. For successful advance to market, a close analysis for customers of exporting countries. In this research, we collected the data from Naver Webtoon and analyzed the features of webtoons and webtoon subscribers according to countries. With this research, it would be possible to find out specific methods and variables which affect the preference of webtoon subscribers.

Physiological changes in hibernating animals (Manchurian Chipmunk and Hamster) were studied during various phases of the hibernation. The results obtained are summarized as follows. 1. Rectal temperature was declined markedly during hibernation, whereas it remained constant even in exposure of the animals to 0 C environment if the animals were not prepared for hibernation. As body temperature was lowered, heart rate was also markedly reduced as well as respiration and blood pressure. 2. The electrical activity recorded from cortical structure was characterized by replacement of fast wave activity by slow wave activity as body temperature was lowered and became flat at body temperature below 20C. 3. Blood glucose level showed no clear seasonal variations. However, the glycogen contents of the liver were markedly greater during the cold seasons than during the warm seasons. 4. Blood levels of insulin showed no clear seasonal variations.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relations and differences in Korean national image, Korean wave (Hanryu) interest, and Korean beauty service satisfaction of Korean, Chinese, and Vietnamese living in Korea and to lay the foundations for the export of various contents, especially beauty services, through the enhancement of Korea's national image. The present study was conducted from $10^{th}$ June to $10^{th}$ August 2017, by presenting 523 questionnaires to Koreans living in Seoul and another metropolitan area, and to Chinese and Vietnamese students studying in different Korean language Institutes in Seoul and other areas' universities. The basic questionnaire items were analyzed based on frequency analysis. The data on the national image, Korean wave interest, and Korean beauty service satisfaction were reduced by the factor analysis. The effects of each items were analyzed by regression. The differences in three factors were analyzed by ANOVA, and the differences were calculated by mean values. Consequently, it was observed that three factors are mutually affected each other. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a synergetic relationship between the individual factors. In addition, the individual items exhibited higher mean value in Vietnam, China, and Korea in a descending order. This indicates that Koreans are more likely to de-evaluate their cultures than others. Therefore, Koreans should be aware of the excellence of their culture and try to spread Korean culture and technology to the rest of the world with pride.

The purpose of this study was to develop an accurate frequency-dependent type apex locator. To compensate the impedence differences of different canal contents, voltage differences were pre-measured and stored for saline, HOsb1/$2O_2$ and NaOCl. The circuit was adjusted to recognize the different voltages of each solution, thereby the machine could automatically compensate the voltage differences. In the process of this study, the following informations were observed. 1. Most stable apical reading was obtained at 500Hz and 10kHz. 2. There were no differences in accuracy among three different frequency types, sign wave, triangular wave and rectangular wave(p>0.05). 3. Before the compensation of voltage differences, saline, H2O2 and NaOCl showed different readings at the apex even with the frequency-type (p<0.05). 4. After compensating the voltage difference, the accuracy was enhanced from + 0.42 to +0.32 in H2O2(p<0.05), from -0.34 to -0.12 in NaOCl(p<0.05).

With shifting the paradigm to digital economy, the digital industry becomes one of the national strategic industries. The digital industry has not only significant effects on forward and backward related industries but is also creating its own value. Furthermore, the effects of conversion with diverse products also play an important role in adding value. Since the early 2000s, Korea's culture so called 'Hallyu' (Korean wave) has been spreading to neighboring Asian countries such as China, Japan, Hong Kong, Therefore we have a good opportunity to increase our competitiveness with the development of the digital content industry using various base resources in conjunction with the spread of Hallyu culture in the Southeast Asian region. In this paper we attempt to suggest several schemes to promote our exports of digital contents while analyzing the current status of the Korean digital industry and addressing some problems and barriers to the export of the digital content industry. There are several schemes to be proposed in order to promote Korean exports of digital contents, as follows: 1) to foster global digital contents, 2) to establish a supporting system, 3) to build a marketing and R&D center, 4) to operate a test-bed of digital contents and 5) to fund expenses such as marketing.

This study was conducted to develop a grain moisture meter using microwave free space transmission technique at X-band frequency. The 10.5GHz microwave oscillator using a dielectric resonator was designed and fabricated to transmit electromagnetic wave through standard horn antenna to a sample holder with the wetted Hwasung and Chuchung rough rice(12.00∼26.25%). To detect the output voltage of transmitted wave from receiving horn antenna, the detector was composed of shottkey diode and RF impedance matching circuit. The regression model for measurement of grain moisture content was developed. Its correlation coefficient and standard error of prediction (SEP) were found to be 0.9882 and 0.657 respectively between measure and predicted moisture contents.

In the paper, we propose a design method and process of a hybrid V2X communication module that combines WAVE communication, LTE-V2X communication, and legacy LTE communication in evaluating vehicle V2X electromagnetic compatibility. C-ITS is suitable for safety service applications due to its low latency, and legacy LTE is suitable for applications such as traffic information and infotainment due to its high latency and high capacity. In order to evaluate the V2X communication system, the evaluation equipment must have communication performance of the same level or higher. The main design contents presented in this paper will be applied to the implementation of a hybrid V2X communication module for electromagnetic compatibility evaluation.

This paper aims to investigate the cultural conflicts and characteristics of anti-Korean Wave discourse taken placed among Southeast Asian countries. To do this, it takes Vietnam and Indonesia as the study cases, which have been showing a trend of anti-Korean Wave discourse as well as high popularity of Hallyu. As research methods, the paper analyzes both on-line discourses of anti-Korean Wave and the email audience interviews from both countries. The results show some significant differences between the two countries as well as the similarity that Anti-Korean Wave discourses have been actively produced and disseminated through on-line media. As for Indonesia, the Anti-Korean Wave discourse pivots on the elements clashing between Indonesia's religion and cultural values and Korean consuming culture. According to the Anti-Korean Wave discourse, K-pop contents and entertainers are criticized for damaging the society's morals and cultural identities based on Islamic rules and values. Thus, the sentiment of the Anti-Korean Wave is likely to lead to the cultural nationalism for the sake of their cultural identity. As for Vietnam, anti-Korean Wave discourse mainly consists of issues on enthusiastic K-pop fans' anti-social behaviors and generational conflicts which are presumed attributed as the chief factor of the Anti-Korean Wave. In the Vietnamese discourse, social elites and adults treat the enthusiastic K-pop fans as those who are in need of educational care or psychological therapy. Unlike the Indonesian case, anti-Korean Wave discourse in Vietnam criticized the K-pop and the performer's competence for being cheap sexy and incompetence. They also denounce Korean dramas for their trite, typical story lines, use of excessive emotion, and unrealistic nature. However, the two country's interview participants have in common both acknowledged that rather than considering the Anti-Korean Wave as an issue that needs to be resolved it should be embraced as a natural cultural phenomenon.
