A Study on the Method of Creating Realistic Content in Audience-participating Performances using Artificial Intelligence Sentiment Analysis Technology (인공지능 감정분석 기술을 이용한 관객 참여형 공연에서의 실감형 콘텐츠 생성 방식에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, a process of re-creating Jindo Buk Chum, one of the traditional Korean arts, into digital art using various artificial intelligence technologies was proposed. The audience's emotional data, quantified through artificial intelligence language analysis technology, intervenes in various object forms in the projection mapping performance and affects the big story without changing it. If most interactive arts express communication between the performer and the video, this performance becomes a new type of responsive performance that allows the audience to directly communicate with the work, centering on artificial intelligence emotion analysis technology. This starts with 'Chuimsae', a performance that is common only in Korean traditional art, where the audience directly or indirectly intervenes and influences the performance. Based on the emotional information contained in the performer's 'prologue', it is combined with the audience's emotional information and converted into the form of images and particles used in the performance to indirectly participate and change the performance.

Characteristics and Changes of Epistemic Thinking in Middle School Students on Class-Argument Activities in an Argument-Based Inquiry(ABI) Science Class (논의기반 탐구 과학수업의 학급 논의 활동에서 나타나는 중학생들의 인식론적 사고의 특징 및 변화)

  • The purpose of this study was to analysis characteristics and changes of epistemic thinking in middle school students on class-argument activities in an argument-based inquiry(ABI) science class. Data was collected from class recording video and activity worksheets of five subjects argument-based inquiry. Results of the analysis of student epistemic cognition characteristics show that experimental data was presented the most as evidence, and depending on the ABI activity, personal experience-based evidence and evidence based on scientific principles were used. As a result of analyzing the changes between claims made before and after class argumentations on five ABI activities in an argument-based inquiry science class, student claim modifications could be classified, according to reasons for the modification, into three types: correcting incorrect claims, clarifying unclear content, and expanding the concept.

HoloMarking: Digital Watermarking Method using Fresnel Hologram (홀로마킹: Fresnel 홀로그램을 이용한 디지털 워터마킹 기법)

  • This paper propose a digital watermarking method for digital contents which satisfies both the invisibility and the robustness to attacks to prohibit counterfeiting, modification, illegal usage and illegal re-production of video contents. This watermarking algorithm insert a watermark(digital hologram) by generated using Fresnel transform which improve the robustness. The inserting positions of the watermark choose by considering the frequency property of an image and a watermark. Also the amount of watermarking for watermark bit decide by considering the level of 2DDWT. This algorithm was implemented by C++ and experimented for invisibility and robustness with optical system. The experiment results showed that the method satisfied enough the invisibility of the inserted watermark and robustness against attacks. For the general attacks, the error rate of the extracted watermark was less than 15%, which is enough in robustness against the attacks.

The Effects of Dramatherapy Program on Sociality of Isolated Children (연극치료 프로그램이 고립아동의 사회성에 미치는 효과)

  • This study is to know the effect of drama therapy on the sociality of isolated children. To achieve this goal, the following hypothesis was built. Hypothesis I. Dramatherapy program will improve the sociality of isolated children. I -1. Dramatherapy program will improve in cooperation. I -2. Dramatherapy program will improve in independency. I -3. Dramatherapy program will improve in sociability. I -4. Dramatherapy program will improve in law-abiding. To test this hypothesis, the social and emotional isolation test was conducted in 190 children consisting of fifth-grader from N elementary school located in Busan to select 28 children whose founded to be isolated; among these children, eight who wanted to participate in the program were positioned at the experimental group and other eight who didn't want to do and who demonstrated the range of marks similar to the experimental group were positioned at the control group. The dramatherapy program was based on the theory by Robert Landy (2002), Jennings (2003) and Phil Jones (2005) to improve the sociality of isolated children and was implemented in a total of 15 sessions, two sessions a week after school. To test the effect of the program, A modified test paper by Suh, Poongyeon (1991) with the content of testing sociality into a test paper of human nature for elementary school students to be made by Jeong, Bummo (1971) was used which consists of four sub-factors: cooperation, independency, sociability, law-abiding. As a quantitative analysis, Mann-Whitney Test were analyzed for experimental and control groups. As a qualitative analysis, the interaction patterns among student were analyzed on he basis of video tapes. The tool of observe the interaction patterns among student was Interaction Process Analysis System which was made by Bales (1970). This study obtained the following result First, the drama therapy had meaningful effect on the sociality of the sociality of isolated children. But the quantitative change of the sociality test conclusion was showed meaningfully and positive social behavior was increased in periodical process analysis. Second, in the Interaction Process Analysis(IPA) affirmative interactions increased and negative interactions decreased.

The Changes in Gender-Egalitarianism after Sexuality Education in Middle School Students (성교육에 따른 중학생의 남녀평등의식 변화)

  • Purpose: In an attempt to measure the changes in gender-egalitarianism after sexuality education based on the gender-egalitarianism in middle school students, this study was carried out. Methods: The subjects were 137 students (67 boys and 70 girls) in 4 classes that were randomized from among 8 classes of first graders in a coeducational middle school, in Seoul. By the school nurse with the assistance of an advisory committee on sex education by the MOE, sexuality education was implemented based on gender-egalitarianism. The content was presented over 18 hours during 16 weeks, from September, 2001 to December, 2001. For the pre and post check on gender-egalitarianism, a Gender Egalitarianism Scale modified by the researcher was used. Results: After the sexuality education based on the gender-egalitarianism, there was a significant elevation in gender-egalitarianism(t=4.378, p=0.000). There were no significant differences in the mean changes in gender-egalitarianism according to religion, economy level, educational level of parents, and openness of parents. And little experiences in adult video, no experience in masturbation, and being without the opposite sex were related to significant elevations in gender-egalitarianism. The case of the having the positive sexual attitudes showed a significant elevation in gender-egalitarianism as compared with the case of having negative sexual attitudes. Conclusions: Based on these results, sexuality education based on gender-egalitarianism for youth was effective in elevating gender-egalitarianism scores. Because the case of the wide experiences with sexual behaviors showed a tendency to make low gender-egalitarianism, the education program would be effective to implement early in the school as childhood is a period in which children have a non-established sex-role.

The effect of media modality and the valence of risk messages on affective risk perception and behavioral intention (미디어 형식과 위험 메시지 구성이 감정적 위험인식과 행위의도에 미치는 영향)

  • The current study explores how media modality and message frame interact to form individuals' affective risk perception and behavioral intention. Specifically, participants were exposed to positive and negative messages on irradiated foods in text, audio, and audio/video formats and their affective risk perception and purchase intention were measured. Results indicate that individuals' affective risk perception and purchase intention were influenced by media modality and message frame. The significant interaction effects between the two variables were also observed. The results indicate that the appropriate media modality should be carefully selected based on the message content for effective risk communication.

A Comparison of Preschoolers' Peer Interaction Type and Level : According to Partner's Age (동일연령쌍과 혼합연령쌍 유아의 또래 상호작용 유형 및 수준 비교)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate whether preschoolers' peer interaction type and level differ depending on pair compositon and task type. Preschoolers' peer interaction type and level were compared among three kinds of pair compositions(with a Younger peer, with a same-age peer, and with an older peer) as well as between two types of tasks(tasks involving real objects, and tasks involving pictures). Subjects were seventy-eight four-year-old children recruited from six child-care centers in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. The preschoolers were randomly assigned to one of the three kinds of pair compositions. Interaction processes of the pairs were recorded by a video camera, and the scenes were transcribed for content analyses. The traniscribed peer interactions were coded according to the categories that the researcher had generated. Statistical methods used for the data analysis were frequencies, percentiles, means, standard deviations, repeated measures ANOVA, paired t-tests, one-way ANOVA. Major findings of this study were as follows: There were significant differences preschoolers' in interaction type depending on the pair compositions and the types of tasks. The preschoolers paired with the older peer used abstract collaborative explanations more frequently than in two other types of pair composition. The preschoolers paired with the younger peer used explanations without collaboration and parallel behaviors more frequently than in two other types of pair composition.

Research on Effects of Three Different Designs and Implementations on Cyber Education (정보활용기술 발전에 따른 효과적 사이버 교육을 위한 설계 및 구현의 차이에 대한 연구)

  • This study is aimed to develop and evaluate different approaches for cyber education. The project involved the development of sample cyber education programs using different design approaches, with built-in evaluation mechanisms. The different design approaches depend on what delivery technologies are involved. In the First Generation, the delivery technologies use text, flash and animation, whereas the synchronized content to video and audio are used in the Second and the Third Generations but the difference is the delivery method used by the videoclip. Tests were carried out through self-assessment to measure and analyze the efficient teaching. The results show that the Third generation technologies were the most effective method for cyber education. However, since the Third generation program is developed in multimedia, it tends 10 require higher development costs, and more advanced hardware and software as well as a higher bandwidth for network. Therefore, the research indicates that the development of technical supports, like loading speed, has to be solved simultaneously with the development of multimedia products for effective cyber education.

  • In modern society, creation and distribution of multimedia contents is being actively conducted. These multimedia information have come out the enormous amount daily, the amount of data is also large enough it can't be compared with past text information. Since it has been increased for a need of the method to efficiently store multimedia information and to easily search the information, various methods associated therewith have been actively studied. In particular, image search methods for finding what you want from the video database or multiple sequential images, have attracted attention as a new field of image processing. Image retrieval method to be implemented in this paper, utilizes the attribute of corner patches based on the corner points of the object, for providing a new method of efficient and robust image search. After detecting the edge of the object within the image, the straight lines using a Hough transformation is extracted. A corner patches is formed by defining the extracted intersection of the straight line as a corner point. After configuring the feature vectors with patches rearranged, the similarity between images in the database is measured. Finally, for an accurate comparison between the proposed algorithm and existing algorithms, the recall precision rate, which has been widely used in content-based image retrieval was used to measure the performance evaluation. For the image used in the experiment, it was confirmed that the image is detected more accurately in the proposed method than the conventional image retrieval methods.

Shot Change Detection Using Multiple Features and Binary Decision Tree (다수의 특징과 이진 분류 트리를 이용한 장면 전환 검출)

  • Contrary to the previous methods, in this paper, we propose an enhanced shot change detection method using multiple features and binary decision tree. The previous methods usually used single feature and fixed threshold between consecutive frames. However, contents such as color, shape, background, and texture change simultaneously at shot change points in a video sequence. Therefore, in this paper, we detect the shot changes effectively using multiple features, which are supplementary each other, rather than using single feature. In order to classify the shot changes, we use binary classification tree. According to this classification result, we extract important features among the multiple features and obtain threshold value for each feature. We also perform the cross-validation and droop-case to verify the performance of our method. From an experimental result, it was revealed that the EI of our method performed average of 2% better than that of the conventional shot change detection methods.
