R&D 생산성 제고를 위한 인력관리방안 (R&D Personnel Management for Higher Productivity)

  • This paper aims to find out the R&D personnel management strategies which enhance the productivity of researchers. The R&D personnel management practices are examined focusing on career development and compensation scheme. As proxies for higher motivation and/or productivity, job satisfaction and propensity to leave of researchers are analyzed to evaluate the management practices. Using the survey data from researchers in the Korean automobile industry. this paper suggests the management strategies to raise job satisfaction and thus lower propensity to leave of R&D personnel.

대학병원 간호사들의 조직문화 유형 인식 및 조직만족이 혁신행동에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Organizational Culture Type and Job Satisfaction on Nurses' Innovation Behavior in a University Hospital)

  • The purposes of this study were to describe the effects of perception of organizational culture type and job satisfaction on university hospital nurses' innovation behavior. A survey was conducted with 418 respondents working in a university hospital in Cheonan City. Organizational culture types (developmental, group, rational, hierarchical), job satisfaction and individual characteristics were surveyed. The relationships between each variable and the innovation behavior were analyzed by univariate analysis and the independent effects of these variables were examined with multiple regression. The mean score of general employees innovation behavior was 3.33 (p=.58) and that of managers was 3.53(p=.64). For general employees, there were statistically significant differences in innovation behavior according to education level. For managers, there were statistically significant differences in innovation behavior for education level, marital status and duration of work. On multiple regression analysis, the factors affecting innovation behavior of general employees were developmental culture( =.297, ${\beta}$ p<.01), group culture (${\beta}$=.184, p<.01) and job satisfaction(${\beta}$=.148, p<.05). And the factors affecting innovation behavior of managers were developmental culture(${\beta}$=.181, p<.01), rational culture(${\beta}$=.171, p<.01) and group culture(${\beta}$=.408, p<.01), In conclusion, the results of this study show that organizational culture and job satisfaction influence hospital nurses'innovation behavior.

부품소재 중핵기업의 기술혁신 결정요인 분석 -기업규모와 시장구조를 중심으로- (An Analysis on the Determinants of Innovation -Medium Core Firms in Material and Component Industry-)

  • 본 연구는 부품소재 중핵기업의 기술혁신 결정요인을 분석하기 위해 기업규모, 시장집중도 그리고 기업의 특성을 나타내는 일반변수들과 혁신유무의 관계를 측정하였다. 본 연구는 이를 위하여 과학기술정책연구원이 조사한 '기술혁신조사' (KIS2005)의 원자료와 Probit 모형을 활용하였다. 실증분석 결과에 의하면 기업규모는 혁신의 유무와 정(+)의 관계에 있으나 시장집중도는 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 기업특성을 나타내는 일반변수 중에는 순이익과 연구개발비가 혁신유무와 정(+)의 관계를 갖는 반면, 수출액과 자기자본비율은 부(-)의 관계에 있는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로, 부품소재 중핵기업의 기술혁신 활동을 촉진하기 위해서는 기업규모의 증대와 경쟁적인 시장구조의 조성이 이루어져야 할 것이며 또한 연구개발 활동에 대한 재정적 지원과 함께 자본 및 금융시장에서의 원활한 자본조달이 뒷받침되어야 할 것이다. 다만, 본 연구의 실증분석에서 나타난 수출액과 혁신유무의 관계에 대해서는 추가적인 연구가 필요할 것이다.

서비스 유형별 혁신활동의 특성 연구 (The Characteristics of Innovation Activities in the Service Sector)

  • 지난 수년간 서비스 산업은 빠르게 성장해 왔으며, 현재도 그 성장가능성이 매우 높다. 때문에 서비스 산업의 생산성 및 혁신활동이 국가경제발전의 중요한 요소로 관심을 받기 시작하였다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 제조분야에서의 혁신과 관련된 연구들은 활발히 이루어진 것과 달리, 서비스 산업에서의 혁신 활동의 특성에 대한 연구는 상대적으로 부족하였다. 특히, 서비스 혁신은 서비스에 따라 상이하게 나타날 수 있기 때문에 이에 대한 연구가 반드시 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구는 서비스 유형별 혁신활동의 특성을 비교 및 분석하는 것을 그 목적으로 하고자 한다. 이를 위해, 첫째, 과학기술정책연구원(STEPI)의 기술혁신조사(KIS) 서비스업 분야 데이터를 활용한다. 둘째, 서비스의 고객화 정도와 설비의 중요도를 기준으로 서비스의 유형화를 수행한다. 셋째, 각 서비스 유형별 혁신활동의 특성을 혁신활동의 투입, 프로세스, 산출의 관점에서 분석한다. 연구 결과, 각 서비스 유형은 고유의 혁신활동 패턴을 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 이는 서비스 유형의 특성에 대한 가치 있는 정보를 제공함으로써 서비스 분야에서의 혁신활동에 대한 추후 연구를 위한 기초적인 자료를 제공해 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

새로운 측정 모델을 이용한 과학기술 국민이해 조사연구 - 문제 및 이슈와 연관짓기를 중심으로

  • The purpose of this study is to conceptualize PUST (Public understanding or science and technology) with a new theoretical perspective and to measure the Korean PUST through a national survey. Then, it suggests policy implications of improving the Korean public understanding of science and technology. Our new theoretical perspective is focused on an information receiver's one rather than an information provider's one. Thus, we concepualized PUST as a process of engagement: how a citizen becomes to be engaged to science or technology. It does not stress how hard s/he is pushed to learn science or technology. A national survey was done by a face-to-face interview method. About 1,200 adults were sampled from 18 or more years old population by a stratified area sampling method which had been used as a common and reliable one in South Korea. Each half of the total sample were for science or technology. The survey was conducted in September, 2001. We found that many Korean adults had positive but disproportionate impressions of science or technology that were related mostly to utilities for life such as computer, internet, car, refrigerator, television, etc. Most of them failed to continue to be engaged to sciences and technologies after first exposure to them through compulsory education. They were not able to relate sciences or technologies to solving individual or social salient problems. This study shows that PUST would be improved by our engagement to sciences or technologies through their relationship with social problems or issues.

패션상품으로서의 모바일폰: 의상과 모바일폰에서의 패션행동 비교 연구 (Mobile phone as a fashion product: Comparing fashion behaviors in clothing and mobile phone)

  • As mobile phone has acquired a status of a fashion item expressing one's character, it is necessary to understand the fashion needs for this new fashion product. The purpose of this study was to apply the fashion orientation construct developed in the clothing research field to mobile phone and explore its validity. The multi-dimensional construct of fashion orientation which most widely represented the fashion aspects was examined for the two product categories of clothing and mobile phone. Data were collected from an online questionnaire survey, and a total of 1,136 responses were analyzed. The construct structure of fashion orientation of mobile phone resulted in individuality, innovation, and fashion was different from that of clothing extracted to interest/importance, fashion/innovation, and individuality. Fashion sensitivity and an early adoption of a new product were two different dimensions in mobile phone while not separable in clothing. Despite a higher predictability of the fashion/innovation orientation of clothing on fashion orientation rather than on innovation orientation of mobile phone, innovation orientation was more important to purchase behaviors of mobile phone. The study still implies that it is valid to use clothing fashion innovative consumers for mobile phone marketing.

어플라이언스 시스템의 혁신특성과 품질이 채택의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of Innovation Characteristics and Quality of Appliance Systems on Intention to Adopt)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to grasp the level of effects innovative features and quality of the appliance system on organizational performance and ultimately analyze the willingness of the IT staff to adopt an appliance system. Methods: The survey was conducted on 350 vendors' clients and partners who currently use an appliance system from March to May 2014. A total of 331 effective questionnaires were collected and analyzed using PASW18 and SmartPLS. Results: The results show that relative advantage, facilitating condition and trialability and quality factors all had an effect on organizational performance expectations. Further, when an appliance system is adopted, it was shown that cost and reliability emphasized by a vendor did not produce any significant effects on organizational performance expectations. Conclusion: This study is significant as it is the first to combine such models as Innovation Diffusion Theory, Information Systems Success Model, and Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology with a new external variable. In addition, it illustrated how variables affect the adoption of an appliance system such as a new innovation system.

소비자 특성에 따른 챗봇의 인지된 혁신속성과 혁신수용 (Perceived Innovation Attributes and Acceptance of Chatbots as Determined by Consumer Characteristics)

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study was to explore the impact of chatbots' innovation attributes on the innovation acceptance for consumers who have used chatbots to purchase fashion products that account for a large share of transactions in mobile shopping. Research design, data, and methodology - Data were collected from Korean consumers aged 20 to 49 who had experience using chatbots when purchasing fashion-related products via mobile circumstances. After a pilot survey of 31 customers, pre-questionnaire was revised for the final test, and the final questionnaire was distributed to 1,500 subjects. Out of these, 244 were retrieved. After excluding 48 inappropriate responses, 196 were used for statistical analysis. Frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, one-way ANOVA, regression analysis and independent t-test using SPSS 23.0 were employed for data analyses. Results - First, four factors of chatbots' attributes were extracted: relative advantages and compatibility, complexity, sensibility, and diversity. Second, two factors were extracted for fashion leadership: fashion opinion leadership and fashion innovativeness. Two groups based on the fashion leadership were identified: active innovation adopters and passive innovation adopters. Third, relative advantages and compatibility, diversity, sensibility of innovation attributes were found to have effects on the innovation acceptance in order. Fourth, significant differences were found in sensibility of innovation attributes and innovation acceptance in groups by marital status and age. The married in their 30s and 40s perceived sensibility as a more important attribute of chatbots than the unmarried in their twenties. Among the groups of different income levels, meaningful differences were found in diversity of innovation attributes and innovation acceptance. Fifth, there were significant differences found in relative advantages and compatibility, sensibility of innovation attributes, and acceptance of Innovation among the groups by fashion leadership. Active innovation adopters were found to be more aware of the importance of relative advantages and compatibility, and sensibility of innovation attributes, and innovation acceptance. Conclusions - The present study provides chatbots' marketing strategies for fashion items need to be modified by demographic characteristics and fashion leadership. Particularly, fashion leadership was found to be an important factor in determining the perception of innovation attribute as well as innovation acceptance.

빅데이터 분석방법을 활용한 제조업 혁신성과예측 방법에 대한 연구 : 딥 러닝 알고리즘을 중심으로 (Forecasting Innovation Performance via Deep Learning Algorithm : A Case of Korean Manufacturing Industry)

  • 기술혁신에는 본질적인 어려움이 따르는데, 이는 상당부분 기술이 지닌 불확실성에 기인한다. 따라서 혁신과정에서 불확실성에 따른 위험을 감소시키기 위한 예측 방법론은 정량적 분야와 정성적 분야 모두에서 제시되어 왔다. 한편 최근 빅 데이터와 인공지능에 큰 관심이 이어지며 특히 알파고의 알고리즘 중 하나인 딥 러닝이 뛰어난 성능을 보이고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 혁신성과 예측에 있어 딥 러닝을 이용한 방법론을 접목하여 연구를 진행하였다. 모델 구축 및 학습에 있어 KIS 2016 데이터를 이용하였으며, 투입 요인으로는 정보 원천의 사용도와 혁신 목적을 사용하였고 산출 요인으로는 혁신 성과 지표를 구성하여 사용하였다. 분석 결과 선행 연구들에 비해 예측의 정확도가 향상되었음을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 학습이 진행됨에 따라 예측의 자유도 역시 향상됨을 확인하였다.

커피프랜차이즈 최고경영자의 리더십이 혁신성과에 미치는 영향: 조직신뢰의 매개효과 (The Impact of Coffee Shop Franchise CEO Leadership on Innovation Performance: Mediating Role of Organizational Trust)

  • Purpose - This study aims to examine the impact of leadership on organizational trust and innovation performance, and to identify whether organizational trust plays a mediating role in the relationship between leadership and innovation performance. Also, this study attempts to find out how to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness based on leadership-based or trust-based strategies. And, this research proposed that organizational trust plays a core mediating role in the relationship between transactional and transformational leadership and innovation performance. Research design, data, and methodology - In order to test the hypotheses of this study, the survey was conducted towards franchise coffee shop employees between November 7 and 18, 2016. We contacted top executives of coffee shop franchise headquarters and explained the purpose of this study. Among 150 questionnaires distributed, 123 were collected. Of these collected questionnaires, 102 questionnaires were coded and analyzed for further analysis. In order to test the unidimensionality and reliability of the factors, factor analysis and reliability test were performed using SPSS/PC+ 22.0. And, the hypotheses were tested using hierarchical mediated regression analysis. Result - The results are as follows. First, transactional leadership, and intellectual stimulation, motivation of transformational leadership had significant impacts on organizational trust. Second, organizational trust, transactional leadership, and influence of transformational leadership had significant impacts on innovation performance. Third, the mediating test of organizational trust showed that transactional leadership plays a partial mediator, and intellectual of transformational leadership plays a full mediator in the relationship between leadership and innovation performance. Conclusions - The implications of this study are as follows. First, the top management should provide their organizational members incentives or rewards based on their performance. Second, top management should identify and express a clear vision and desirable organizational goals for the future, present an idealized vision, and communicate to organizational members that the vision is achievable, also have organizational members to think creatively and find optimal solutions to difficult problems. In sum, this study revealed the important role of leadership in embedding organizational trust in and improving innovation performance of coffee shop employees and the mediating role of organizational trust in the influence of leadership on innovation performance.
