한국의 영상산업은 주로 서울과 수도권에 편중되어 있다. 최근 지방자치단체들이 영상산업에 관심을 기울이면서 지역별로 영상 클러스터 구축 사업을 본격적으로 전개하고 있다. 특히 노무현 정부에서 시행된 지역 분권형 구조는 현 정부의 중앙 집중형 개발과는 차이를 가진다. 최근 일부에서는 한국의 영상 클러스터 구축이 서울을 중심으로 전개되어야 한다는 주장이 제기되고 있다. 특히 부산 이전이 확정된 영상관련 공공기관 이전 역시 백지화하여야 한다는 주장이 제기되었다. 그러나 한국영상산업의 발전을 위해서는 영상 클러스터 구축사업에 있어 부산을 집중 육성하고 공공기관 이전도 예정대로 진행되어야 한다는 것이다.

한국 영화산업에서 '다양성 영화'는 '저예산영화', '독립·예술영화' 등과 혼용되어 사용됐다. 영화의 개념이 온오프라인의 멀티플랫폼 시대로 전환되며 영화산업에서도 미디어 다양성에 대한 논의가 중요해졌다. 이와 함께 영화산업에서 소수자에 대한 포용성과 다양성을 확대하려는 움직임 역시 뚜렷하다. 최근 세계 영화산업은 활발해진 여성서사와 여성 핵심창작인력에 대한 성인지 관점의 연구와 정책을 기반으로 포용성 영화정책을 수용하며 발전해 가는 중이다. 본 연구는 영화산업을 둘러싼 여러 가지 차원의 다양성에 대한 선행연구와 논의를 바탕으로 한국 영화산업에서 다양성 개념을 재정립하고 소수자에 대한 포용성과 다양성을 확대하기 위한 정책방향을 제언한다.

The purpose of this study is for affirmation about fashion and film industry has very important relationship through the image of film fashion in 1990. To this processing , films in 1990 were analyzed by the back ground, time place, persons's status are expressed in period movie but the person's characters, development of story mood in contemporary movies. The contents of this study are as follows : First, film fashion which was related mass fashion design and concept development and fashion designers as constume services were considered. Second, the change of star image through the 20th century. The roles and new image of film fashion in period movies and contemporary movies in 1990 were searched. Third, proposal and results were confirmed for expansion of fashion industry and film industry together. Finally, from the latter of 20th century, a lot of fashion designers have participated in film works than before, So the images of films were sued and reflected as new mass trend . Especially retro-romantic mood was expressed in fashion trend due to period movie fashion. Also minimal city look and elegance glamourous look are represented cause of contemporary movie fashion. Therefore, the cooperation between film productions and fashion professionals is very important for promotion of Korean culture development in 21st century, 'the century of image'.

영화진흥위원회는 영화에 관하여 문화체육관광부의 역할을 위임받아 수행하는 기관이다. 공기관 지방이전 계획에 따라서 2013년 부산이전을 앞두고 있다. 부산 국제 영화제로 유명한 부산시는 단순히 영화제를 개최하는 페스티발 도시이기를 거부하고, 영화산업을 적극 육성하고자 그동안 많은 투자를 하여 왔다. 영진위의 부산 이전을 계기로, 한국영화정책에서 부산을 한국영화산업을 이끄는 또 하나의 축으로 설정하여, 한국영화의 미래를 위한 투자를 촉진하여야 할 것이다. 서울, 경기 지역과 부산지역을 한국영화의 두 개의 port로 삼고, 종합촬영소 건설, 영화제작 펀드 조성, 다양성 영화를 통한 영화 인재 육성, ASEAN 국가들과의 국제교류 강화를 통한 한국영화의 국제화 등이 앞으로의 과제이다.

This research empirically examined the determinants of competitive advantages and performance of Korean film industry from 1996 to 2003 over a sample of 396 movies. Especially, the effects of knowledge-based resources, social capital, product differentiation strategy, and market entry strategy on a film performance were hypothesized and empirically tested. Findings of this study are as follows; First, confirming the importance of knowledge-based resources in film industry, both the superior business track records of producers and the superior artistic track records of directors and actors had positive effects on film performance. Second, supporting social capital hypotheses, while the strong ties between directors and producers had positive effects, the strong ties between directors and actors had negative effects on film performance. Third, confirming the importance of product differentiation strategy, genre differentiation against competing films had positive effects on film performance. Finally, confirming the importance of market entry timing, the number of competing films released following a film opening within a week had negative effects on film performance. The findings of this research suggest that producers, directors, and actors are not only the critical knowledge-based resources to create competitive advantages indeed, but the pattern of relationships among them also systematically influences the film performance. Moreover, it is suggested that film performance may be improved by the proper genre differentiation and opening day selection.

근래 사드 미사일 배치 문제로 한중관계가 급격히 냉각되면서, 많은 한중합작영화와 엔터테인먼트 사업들의 기획과 제작이 무산되었다. 설상가상으로 중국내에서는 그간 합작영화의 결과를 통한 '한중합작 무용론' 까지 제기되고 있다. 필자는 그간의 한중합작영화들의 많은 실패 원인이 중국영화계에 대한 한국영화인들의 이해와 경험의 부족이라고 판단하였다. 이에, 필자는 본 지면을 통해 중국영화사를 개괄하여 현재 중국영화계의 특성이 형성된 원인을 밝히고, 여타의 장르보다 더욱 까다로운 검열을 거쳐야하는 범죄스릴러 장르인, 한국영화 <블라인드>를 라메이크한 <나는 증인이다>의 경우를 통해 중국영화계의 검열방식과 실제 적용된 사례를 소개하여, 중국영화계의 현주소를 파악하는데 도움이 되고자 한다. 또한 앞으로의 한중합작영화를 준비하고자하는 한국영화인들에게 드리는 제언과 함께, 한중합작 영화산업의 발전을 위한 필자의 의견을 간략하게 피력하고자 한다.

The Korean film industry has grown fast since the 2000s in terms of entering the 50% market share level, the emergence of 10million box-office movies and export performance improvement; however, the earning rate of production and investment part has decreased and recorded a minus value since 2005. This article aims to find key the determinants for the success of Korean movies from 2001~2006, a period of high growth and success of the Korean film industry through a multiple regression analysis. This paper introduces new determinants such as the interaction effect of the director and lead actor as well as mass culture codes. Finally, the authors suggest some proposals to make the Korean Film Industry more profitable.

이 연구는 국내 영화 온라인 부가시장의 활성화에 있어 장애 요인으로 작용하고 있는 유통구조의 문제점을 살펴보고 이에 대응하는 입법 및 정책 현황을 분석해봄으로써 부가시장을 정상화시키기 위한 대안을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 정보통신기술의 발달로 영화의 유통 창구가 다양화되면서 영화 수익의 극대화와 다양성영화의 유통 기회 확보 등 영화시장이 전체적으로 확대될 수 있는 기회를 맞았음에도 불구하고, 국내 영화산업의 구조는 전적으로 극장 매출에 의존하는 기형적인 형태를 띠고 있다. 전문가 자문회의 및 심층면접 결과, 이는 디지털 영화 콘텐츠사업자들 간의 수익구조의 불투명성으로 영화 부가 판권시장이 제대로 형성되지 못하는 데 기인한 것으로 보인다. 본 연구는 국내 영화산업의 지속가능한 발전을 위하여 온라인 상영관 통합전산망의 구축과 사업자의 가입을 법제화하고, 사업자 간 분쟁조정 시스템의 정비를 통하여 불공정 거래행위를 방지하는 데 정책적 관여가 필요하다는 점을 결론으로 제시한다.

프랑스는 공공 자금의 비중이 큰 독특한 영화제작 방식을 가지고 있다. 그 배경에는 가장 완벽하다고 인정받는 영화지원제도가 자리하고 있다. 다른 어떤 나라보다 영화산업의 질서가 형성되어 있다. 본고는 기획부터 영화 상영까지 프랑스영화 제작단계를 따라간다. 프랑스영화의 제작 규모, 제작 승인에서 캐스팅, 예산의 결정과 주요 투자 주제, 영화 스태프의 임금과 이를 규정하는 단체협약, 개봉, 해외 판매 그리고 수익 배분을 살펴본다. 본 연구는 프랑스영화산업, 특히 제작 분야에 대한 전반적인 이해를 도모한다. 이를 위해 바네사 파라디와 로망 뒤리스가 주연한 로맨틱 코미디, <하트브레이커(L'Arnacœur)>(2010)를 사례 연구로 삼았다. 본 연구는 프랑스영화산업 시스템의 구동 구조를 들여다본다. 이는 한국영화산업 앞에 놓여 있는 여러 문제점들, 스크린 독과점, 대기업 수직계열화, 부실한 2차 시장, 낮은 수익률에 대한 해법을 찾는데 도움이 될 것이다.

본 연구는 정부의 금융지원 정책인 영상전문투자조합이 한국영화 제작자본 조달에 기여한 정도를 평가하였다. 영상전문투자조합 정책은 1999년 중소기업청과 2000년 영화진흥위원회의 출자로 시작되었고, 이후 한국영화 제작비뿐만 아니라 문화산업 분야의 창업 초기기업과 프로젝트의 중요한 자본조달 구조로 발전하였다. 하지만 한국 영화산업의 관점에서 영상전문투자조합의 정책성과를 평가할 수 있는 기초자료가 기관별, 시기별로 산개해 있어서 일관적인 지표를 산출하기 어려웠다. 이에 본 연구는 해당 기관들의 자료를 재구성하여 1999~2017년까지 공적 출자를 통해 결성된 영상전문투자조합의 신규 결성규모, 공공 출자비율, 한국영화 투자편수 및 투자금액, 공공 출자금 및 결성액 대비 투자승수, 청산조합 수익률 등의 지표를 산출하였다. 이를 통해 영상전문투자조합 정책이 한국 영화산업의 성장에 기여한 성과를 평가할 수 있는 기초적인 토대를 제공하고자 한다.
