High $T_c$, Superconductors for Applications

  • High T$_{c}$ superconducting lines will be applied as key materials in the areas of power transmission line; magnetic levitation of vehicle; magnetic separation; magnetic energy storage and marine propulsion. A combination method of electrophoresis deposition and zone-melting for preparation of YBaCuO tape is proposed. The submicron particle powder of YBaCuO made by sol-gel method is used in the electrophoresis process. A 40~50${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ thickness of YBaCuO film on Ag plate could be deposited in about three minutes. After deposition the film is rolled and heat treated in order to increase the density and the adhesion of the film to the Ag plate. Silver(Ag) and lead oxide(PbO) were added in the YBaCuO powder in order to reduce its melting point. The YBaCuO coating with controlled Ag and PbO contents was preliminarily zone-melted at about 945$^{\circ}C$.>.

Characterization of Silicon Nitride Coating Films (Si-N 코팅막의 기계적 물성 및 구조 분석)

  • Silicon nitride coating films with various ratios of nitrogen to silicon contents were prepared and characterized. The film was coated on silicon substrate by sputtering method with changing nitrogen gas flow rate in a chamber. The nitrogen to silicon ratio was found to have values in a range from 0 to 1.4. Coated film was characterized with scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, electron probe microanalysis, nanoindentation scanning probe microscopy, x-ray photon spectrometry, and Raman spectrometry. Silicon nitride phase in all samples showed amorphous nature regardless of N/Si ratio. When N/Si ratio was 1.25, hardness and elastic modulus of silicon nitride film showed maximum with 22 GPa and 210 GPa, respectively. Those values decreased, when N/Si ratio was higher than 1.25. Raman spectrum showed that no silicon phase exist in the film. XPS result showed that the silicon-nitrogen bond was dominant way for atomic bonding in the film. The structure and property was explained with Random Bonding Model(RBM) which was consistent with the microstructure and chemistry analysis for the coating films.

Electrical Characteristics by Binder Contents in the $TiO_2$ for Dye-sensitized Solar Cells (염료감응형 태양전지의 $TiO_2$ 박막제조지 바인더에 따른 전기적 특성)

  • In this paper, we examined an effect by the binder in titanium dioxide film for dye sensitized solar cell. Binder(PEG and PEO) was added the quantity of 10- 40wt% to commercial $TiO_2$ (P25), Respectively. All of $TiO_2$ film was showed porous structure. but difference of film's porosity could not be confirm. Transmittances of $TiO_2$ film was decreased with the increase of binder's quantity, generally. In case of 20wt%, however, Transmittances of $TiO_2$ film was recoded the highest value. and it measured 1.77 of energy-conversion efficiency.

The Study on the Attenuation of X-ray and Imaging Quality by Contents in Stomach (위장내 음식물에 따른 방사선 감약 및 화질에 관한 연구)

  • This study examined the change in the attenuation of X-rays with the ROI (Region of Interest) in DR (Digital Radiography) according to the stomach contents by manufacturing a tissue equivalent material phantom to simulate real stomach tissue based on the assumption that there is some attenuation of X-rays and a difference in imaging quality according to the stomach contents. The transit dosage by the attenuation of X-rays decreased with increasing protein thickness, which altered the average ROI values in the film and DR images. A comparison of the change in average ROI values of the film and DR image showed that the image in film caused larger density changes with varying thickness of protein than the image by DR. The results indicate that NPO (nothing by mouth) is more important in film system than in DR system.

Effect of Number of Film Layers and Storage Duration and on the Fermentation Quality of Whole Crop Oat Silage (귀리 사일리지의 비닐겹수 및 저장기간에 따른 발효품질)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the feed value and silage quality according to storage period and film layers in whole crop oat silage. The crude protein content was increased in all silage during the storage periods compared to those before silage, under prolonged storage period slightly and the number of film layers of silage, six layer were higher than four layers, but no significant. NDF and ADF contents were also increased in all silage of storage duration compared to those before silage, but they was similar level between storage duration and number of film layers. TDN content was decreased of the storage duration. However, it was similar under the storage duration and the number of film layers. The pH value was decreased during prolonged storage period and six layers was lower than four layers depending on the film layers. In the organic acid contents, lactic acid and acetic acid were increased under the prolonged storage duration, and butyric acid was higher significantly(p<0.05), six layers of the film were showed higher lactic acid and lower butyric acid(p<0.05). Therefore, oat silage should be used within 6 months it was when treated with 4 layers, if considering the long-term storage, it is desirable to treat it with 6 layers or more.

  • Train to Busan(2016) and Seoul Station(2016) contain trans-media properties in terms of the expansion of 'possible worlds' from the original story, and show the cultural and economic potential of the domestic trans-media contents with industrial systems added to the artist's competence of Dir. Yeon Shang-ho, an animator and film director. But they also have limits of the lack of continuity in time and characters between each media, various derived contents and suitable marketing strategy. For the development of Korean trans-media contents, it is necessary to extend the range of contents, find changes in production time and style, and improve the distribution environment to encourage a user to integrate contents from each platforms.

Transmissivity Characteristics by Binder Contents in the $TiO_2$ for Dye-sensitized Solar Cells (염료감응형 태양전지의 $TiO_2$ 박막에 바인더에 의한 투과율 특성)

  • In this paper, we have studied the optical properties of $TiO_2$ thin film by adding the additives of PEG, PEO and both of them. As a variable amount of additives was added into $TiO_2$, the transmittance of $TiO_2$ thin film was decreased. When the 20 wt% of additives mixed with PEG and PEO was added into $TiO_2$, the transmittance of $TiO_2$ thin film showed higher than that of 10 wt% of additives mixed with PEG and PEO. As a results, we could conclude that the additives makes pore in $TiO_2$ thin film and it improves the transmittance of $TiO_2$ thin film.

Preparation of UV-curable Ozone Resistance Coating Solutions using Fluoromonomer (불소 단량체를 이용한 자외선 경화형 내 오존성 코팅 막 제조)

  • The effect of synthesis conditions such as various organic material and composition of organic-inorganic material in ozone resistance and surface characteristic of ultraviolet cured organic-inorganic hybrid coating film has been investigated. Organic-inorganic hybrid coating solution was prepared using tetraethoxysilane (TEOS), silane coupling agent methacryloyloxypropyltrimethoxysilane (MPTMS), 2,2,2-trifluoroethylmethacrylate, and various organic materials with acrylate group, bar-coated on substrates using applicator and densified by UV-curing. It was found that ozone resistance and surface hardness of the coating film was increased with contents of TEOS. It was also found that ozone resistance of coating film was increased with contents of 2,2,2-trifluoroethylmethacrylate. On the other hand, surface hardness was decreased with increase of 2,2,2-trifluoroethylmethacrylate. In addition, Surface hardness of coating film was increased with the addition of aliphatic urethane acrylate. It was also found that the transmittance of coating films was not influenced by content of TEOS and 2,2,2-trifluoroethylmethacrylate. In addition, the coating film exhibited high transmittance of above 90%.

Studies on the Analysis of DOA in PVC Wrap Film and its Migration into Foodstuffs (염화비닐 랩 필름의 DOA 분석 및 식품에의 이행에 관한 연구)

  • Extraction and analysis conditions of di-(2-ethylhexyl) adipate (DOA) and its migration contents into foods wrapped with plasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC) film during storage and cooking with microwave were examined using gas chromatography. Experiments on the extraction solvent and method showed that the method of reflux using carbon tetrachloride for longer than one hour allowed the highest extraction of DOA. Analysis of four PVC wrap films from different factories in domestic market showed the DOA contents of 18.9% for home-use and 24.6% for retail-use on the average. The highest migration during storage was observed in pork belly, which were 21% and 26% after one and three days respectively. During microwave cooking; smaller than 5.5% of DOA were migrated into foods when the film was not contacted with foods, whereas about 49% migration was observed in pork belly contacted with film directly.

Effect of Cultivation Using Plastic-Film House on Yield and Quality of Ginseng in Paddy Field (논토양에서 비닐하우스를 이용한 재배방법이 인삼의 수량 및 품질에 미치는 영향)

  • The average and maximum temperature were $29.5^{\circ}C$ and $33.2^{\circ}C$ at 2:00 p.m. respectively, in the plastic-film house covered with shade net, and both of temperature were lower $0.6^{\circ}C$ and $1.3^{\circ}C$ than those of conventional shade. Light transmittance was 14% in the plastic-film house, while 9.9% in conventional shade during growing season from May to October. Withering time of aboveground part was on October 3rd in conventional shade with 60% of withering leaf, while it was on November 10th with 3.7% of withering leaf in the plastic-film house, about 40 days longer survival. The main disease incidence were 15% of anthracnose, 17% of leaf spot, 5% of phytophthora blight and 3% of gray mold in the conventional shade, while 0 ~ 0.1% disease incidence and 95% of emergence rate in the plastic-film house. The growth in the aboveground and underground part of ginseng was totally better, particularly characteristics affecting yield such as root length, main root length and diameter in the plastic-film house. The fresh weight was increased by 128% compared to the conventional shade and harvested roots per $3.3m^2$ were 36 roots in the conventional shade and 58 roots in the plastic-film house and futhermore yield per $3.3m^2$ was increased by 216% compared to the conventional shade. As covering materials, the rice straw in the plastic-film house was excellent. The ginsenoside contents affecting the quality of ginseng were higher in the plastic-film house indicating 0.333% of Rg1, 0.672% of Rb1, 0.730% of Rc and rate of red rusty root was less than 4.0 ~ 6.1%. Above the results, the quality of ginseng grown in the plastic-film house covered with shade net was improved than that of the conventional shade.
