This study was conducted to find out the influence of cultivation season for fresh parsley in modified atmosphere storage. As the qualities of fresh parsley grown in different seasons; autumn, winter, summer were compared, the chlorophyll and vitamin C showed the highest content in autumn and winter cultivation, respectively, but the firmness was the highest in summer cultivation treatment. These fresh parsleys grown in different seasons packaged with 0.04mm ceramic film and stored at $0^{\circ}C$. The shelf life of these parsleys were 84 days in winter cultivation treatment, while parsleys cultivated in autumn and summer were able to be stored for 77 days and 56 days, respectively. The fresh weight loss of parsley was much more higher in summer than in both autumn and winter cultivation treatments. The carbon dioxide and ethylene contents in packages in summer were more than twice as high in autumn and winter cultivation treatment. There were not different between autumn and winter cultivation treatment in the two kinds of gas contents. This result should be caused by higher field heat that increased a respiration remarkably during the early storage. The highest field heat produced by summer cultivation resulted in remarkable decreases of firmness, chlorophyll and vitamin C during MA storage. As the results, the fresh parsley showed highest storability in winter cultivation treatment. The field heat of fresh parsley should be eliminated just after harvest for a long term storage.

Porous carbon electrode for electrosorption was prepared by a wet phase inversion method. Carbon slurry that was a mixture of activated carbon powder(ACP) and PVdF solution was cast directly upon a graphite sheet by means of a casting knife. Porous carbon electrodes were fabricated by immersing the cast film in pure water as a non solvent. Physical and electrochemical properties of carbon electrodes prepared with various ACP contents(50.0, 75.0, 83.3, 87.5, 90.0 wt %). From the SEM images we can verify that the electrode was porous. The average pore sizes determined for the electrodes fabricated with various ACP contents ranged from 72.7 to 86.4 nm and the size decreased as the ACP content increased. The electrochemical properties were characterized by cyclic voltammetry(CV) method. All of the voltammograms showed typical behavior of an electric double layer charging/discharging on the carbon surface. The capacitance increased with the ACP content and the values ranged from 2.18 F/cm$^2$ for 50 wt% ACP to 4.77 F/cm$^2$ for 90 wt% ACP.
This study was attemtped to improve the conventional processing method and to establish the basic data for evaluating the product suitabilities of dried loach. The semidressed raw material were salted in 15% NaCl solution for 15 minutes and dried to contain about 44% of water, and then heated about 10 minutes at $80^{\circ}C$ controlled by microwave (2,450 MHz). The moisture content of monolayer value for the product showed 5.34% and its water activity was 0.28. The optimum relative humidity for the storage was recognized to be from 32% to 44%. The average shelf life around the year of the Nylon-PVC-PE $(40\;{\mu})$ packed product in domestic circulation market was estimated as 207.4 days. In comparison with raw material, the contents of the major amino acids, glutamic acid, alanine and valine in the product were shown to be slightly increased, while the level of lysine, aspartic acid and methionine were slightly decreased. The contents of saturated fatty acids and oleic acid were shown to be slightly increased, while the other fatty acids tended to be slightly decreased.
The objective of this study was to evaluate the safety of biodegradable mulching films in soybean (Glycine max) cultivation by measuring their effects on crop growth and yield, film decomposition and soil chemical and physical properties. In 2022 and 2023, plant height, branch number, chlorophyll contents, yield components, and yield of soybean did not vary significantly in areas using PE films and biodegradable mulching films. The light transmission rate of the biodegradable mulching films ranged from 6.4 to 15.8% when measured 112 days after soybean transplanting, and was higher, on average, in 2023 than in 2022. In both years, degradation of the biodegradable mulching films began 20 days after soybean transplantation and increased over time. In addition, remains of biodegradable mulching films were present in fields at soybean harvest and remained until 50 days after harvest. Decomposition rates of the biodegradable mulching films at 112 days after soybean transplanting ranged from 9.8 to 26.7% in 2022 and 13 to 36% in 2023. Although soil pH and EC varied based on the year and timing of measurements, there was no significant difference between areas that used biodegradable mulching films and PE films. Soil organic matter, nitrate and exchangeable cation contents such as Ca, Mg, and K were not significantly different in areas that used both PE films and biodegradable films. However, significantly higher levels of available phosphoric acid content were measured in areas that used biodegradable mulch films E, S, and T. Regardless of which films were used, there were no significant differences in the soil's physical properties. In 2022 and 2023, there was no difference between areas that used biodegradable mulch films and PE films. However, soil temperature in mulched areas was 2℃ higher and soil moisture was 5-15% higher than in non-mulched areas. Barley growth was not affected by being planted in soil that had been used for soybean cultivation with biodegradable films. Therefore, the biodegradable mulch films used in this study can be used without negatively affecting the growth, yield, and soil environment of soybeans.
This experiment was conducted to determine the mineral absorption character and develop the optimum composition of nutrient solution for dill(Anethum graveolens L.) in hydroponics. Dill(Anethum graveolens L.) plants were grown in nutrient film technique(NFT) supplied with 1/4, 1/2, and 1 strength of the nutrient solution developed by National Research Station in Japan(HRS). Plants grown in 1/2 strength showed the best growth in plant height, fresh weight, and dry weight compared with those grown in 1/4 or 1 strength. In 1/2 strength solution, pH and EC changed little and proper nutrient contents were observed in the leaves as compared to plant nutrient diagnosis standard. Based on these results, optimum macronutrients were composed by nutrient- water absorption rate(n/w) with 1/2 strength: NO$_2$―N 8.85, NH$_4$―N 0.55, P 2.1, K 6.2, Ca 2.8, and Mg 1.7 me L$^{-1}$ To examine the suitability of the nutrient solution developed(SCU) , dill plants were grown in NFT supplied with two different kinds of solution and concentration. 1/2, 1, 3/2 and 25 of SCU and 1/2S of HRS. Changes of pH and EC were not distinct in 1S, but a significant change of pH was shown in low concentrations-HRS 1/2S and SCU 1/2S. Shoot fresh and dry weight were much higher in the plants grown in SCU IS as compared with HRS 1/2S. There were no significant differences in growth of plants grown in SCU IS, 3/2S, and 25. In addition, nutrient contents in the leaves grown by SCU 1S were in proper levels as compared with plant nutrient diagnosis standard. SCU 1S developed in this experiment was found to be optimum for dill in hydroponics.

To evaluate the application level of expeller cake fertilizer (ECF), we have investigated soil chemical properties, leaf mineral contents and yield of red mustard in plastic film greenhouse. Four levels of fertilizer were applied as 50% (ECF 50), 75% (ECF 75), 100% (ECF 100) and 150% (ECF 150) by base $1,848kg\;kg^{-1}$ of ECF. In 2010, red mustard was planted on April 28 in silt loam soil and harvested on July 7. Commerical yields were measured 12 times from May 14 to July 7. Electrical conductivity ($3.40{\sim}3.54dS\;m^{-1}$), available $P_2O_5$ ($580{\sim}618mg\;kg^{-1}$) and exchangeable cations ($K^+$, $Ca^{2+}$ and $Mg^{2+}$) were tended to increase by the application of ECF. However, the range of those was not so big increasing amount. The content of T-N, K, Ca and P of red mustard leaves was $63.2{\sim}66.4g\;kg^{-1}$, $55.1{\sim}56.4g\;kg^{-1}$, $8.6{\sim}9.5g\;kg^{-1}$ and $5.7{\sim}6.3g\;kg^{-1}$, respectively. The nitrogen utilization rate of red mustard was 38~52%, and it was decreased with increased application of ECF. The yield of red mustard was 13,670 to $14,460kg\;ha^{-1}$ on the basis of application amount of ECF and the yield did not increased in spite of increased ECF. The optimum dose of application of ECF for cultivation of red mustard was from $924kg\;ha^{-1}$ (ECF 50) to $1,386kg\;ha^{-1}$ (ECF 75). Environment-friendly and economical amount of applied fertilizer is more important than yield for cultivation of red mustard.

This study was carried out to investigate shelf-life and quality of fresh-cut Dungkunma (Dioscorea bulbifera) in order to elevate utilization of Dungkunma a fresh food. Before vacuum-packaging (in polyethylene/polypropylene film ($100{\mu}m$, $15{\times}20cm$, $75{\pm}2cmHg$) and storaging at $2^{\circ}C$, Dungkunma was peeled out and cut to dice type ($2.0{\pm}0.5cm^3$), and then washed and blanched using hot water (at $90{\pm}2^{\circ}C$ with 2% NaCl solution for 30 sec). Blanched Dungkunma was pre-dried at room temperature, $40^{\circ}C$ and $50^{\circ}C$ for removing surface water. Each peeled dice Dungkunma was packed 50 g in polyethylene/polypropylene film ($100{\mu}m$, $15{\times}20cm$) with vacuum treatment ($75{\pm}2cmHg$) and stored at $2^{\circ}C$ for 90 days. Hardness and adhesiveness of Dungkunma blanched by 2% NaCl and pre-dried at $50^{\circ}C$ (SB50) were the highest, but changes were the least during storage. Lightness and yellowness of stored Dungkunma in all treatments decreased slightly while redness increased during storage. Changes of color of SB50 was the least. Total concentration of aerobic bacteria in SB50 was $1.88{\pm}0.18log\;CFU/g$ during 90 days and E. coli was detected in all treatments during whole storage periods. Dioscin and allantoin contents of SB50 were virtually unchanged during the storage. Consequently, the results of this study suggest that vacuum packaged Dungkunma after blanching using 2% NaCl solution could be effective to prolong the quality of fresh-cut Dungkunma.

The influence of different storage temperature and packaging methods on plain dried anchovy were investigated. When plain dried large anchovy (DLA) was stored at $-20^{\circ}C, 5^{\circ}C and 2^{\circ}C$, the lipid oxidation was rapidly progressed with the increased temperature. When DLA was stored at $25^{\circ}C and 5^{\circ}C$, peroxide value (POV) reached to maximum on 4 days and 20 days, respectively, while POV increased progressively during storage at $-25^{\circ}C$. The degree of lipid oxidation was progressed the fastest in DLA packed in polyethylene film, followed by packing with oxygen absorber and packing in vacuum. The fatty acid composition of total lipid in DLA revealed $52.3{\%}$ in polyenes, $29.2{\%}$ in saturates and 1$8.5{\%}$ in monoenes, and the major fatty acids were 22 : 6, 20 : 5, 16 : 0, 16 : 1 and 18: 1. Saturates were increased with the rise of storage temperature and prolonging the storage period, while polyenes were decreased. The changes of fatty acid composition was retarded at lower temperature. And the changes of fatty acid composition were the lowest in DLA by vacuum packing, followed by packing with oxygen absorber and packed in polyethylene film. The contents of highly unsaturated fatty acid of polyenes were decreased remarkably in proportion to the progress of lipid oxidation, while saturates were increased.
The purpose of this study is to inquire the people's views on nursing for nurses, correct the image of nurse and take it as basis to be applied on nursing education examining the image of nursing on Television drama playing important role of mass media. 22 nurses of the characters in drama is applied to the analysis object of this study by selecting 6 dramas of Television ones the nurse play on the prime time from June 1 to August 31 in 1997. Contents analysis method was used in Data Analysis, 4 items was used after Coders previously modify and compensate it based on research documents of 1m Milim(1996) 2 Coders made the Coding the article on each person by them seeing the recorded film making the Coding Paper each items is written by the character. The average of reliability degree was 90% which measured the reliability degree by the mathod of Holsti. The statisic method of frequency, percentage was used SPSS Program in data processing The results were as follows. 1. Relative importance of 86.2% nurses in drama was depicted as extra characters 2. The affair attitude of nurses shown on drama was revealed as mechanical(84.7%), passive(45.5%), dependent(54.4%) unkind(68.2%). 3. The activity of nurses was classified with professional! simple affair. The professional affairs such as I.V., Blood Pressure Check, Rounding, Nursing Recording, Patient Education, Assist of Operation, Assistant meal of Patient, etc is mainly depicted and the screen of simple affair such as Receiving telephone, Carrying Tray or Dragging, Stretcher Car, Dressing Car and or Wheel Chair than professional affair. 4. The appearance feature of nurses was shown on thin physique(68.2%), common stature(68.2), dirty costume(45.4%), common appearance(81.9%), unnoble action(63.6%). The image of nurses is illuminated as the exterial scene of technical affair such as assisting the doctors and affair focused on accident and educational activity of nureses or extended role is nor depicted on Television drama. Therefore, the people regard the nurse as sexual object with good appearance than professional worker working professional nursing We want the following, epigraph based on above conclusion. 1. The continuous research is required on the image of nurse shown on various mass media. 2. The later research is required on appliction strategy of mass media for advancing the image of nurse. 3. The research to strengthen the objectivity by comparing analyzed data on drama & analyzing it is required 4. Through the deep study, the standard to show a concrete and professional work of nurses to scenario writers of TV drama is suggested by the association. 5. The monitoring about the mass media must be activated, not by some nurses, on a national scale and much study on the basis of this is needed.
In order to utilize the processing wastes of squid, chitosan was prepared by intermittent deacetylation treaoent of $\beta-chitin$ contained richly in the pen of squid. Acetylchitosan also was synthesized from squid pen chitosan with anhydrous acetic acid and their characteristics were investigated. The amounts of nitrogen and ash of squid pen chitosan were $5.80.2\% and 0.2\pm0.03\%$ respectively, the yield of squid pen chitosan was $25\pm3\%$, the degree of deacetylation was $92\%$, and the molecular weight was $1.15\times10^6$, Acetyl contents of N-acetylchitosan powder, acetylchitosan bead, N-ACF-1 (N-acetylchitosan film-1) and N-ACF-2 (N-acetylchitosan film-2) were $55.9\%, 63.2\%, 56\% and 58.7\%$ respectively. Two major peaks, amide I ($1,653 cm^{-1}$) and II ($1,558 cm^{-1}$) bent, on FT-IR spectra of the N-acetylchitosan from squid pen were almost similar to these of $\beta-chitin$, While there was a broad single peak at $1,601 cm^{-1}$assigned to be an amide I bend in squid pen chitosan. The CP/MAS NMR spectra of $\beta-chitin$, squid pen chitosan and N-acetylchitosan from squid pen showed a relative broad and single peak at 74 ppm assigned to fifth carbon (C-5) and third carbon (C-3). In case of $\beta-chitin$ and N-acetylchitosan from squid pen, single peak at 74 ppm was showed as the same of $\beta-chitin$ type.
